Pegasi Stables

Zin sighed. 'It's now or nothing.' she thought and her features darken. She looked straightly ahead, into the trees and away from their stares. "I was born around the civil war. Mom- died somwhere between my birth and my birthday. Well, as you know, the civil war demanded the boys to war." she sighed heavily and continued. "Well, it was a tough time for us. I was the last member not going anywhere. My step dad and my brrothers were helping. I wouldn't want to stay with the ladies, wondering if our family was alive. So I snuck out one night and got myself stuck. The army was desperate at the time, call it lucky, and I got in as a boy." while she said it, her army jacet grew cold and goose bumps appeared on her skin. She dreaded the army. But it was too late to back down.

"It was easy. Without training and the war killing more soldiers than what we get. They didn't even notice me being a girl. But they didn't notice me too when I got wounded." The memory of her, bleeding on the ground, not having the energy to call for help, haunted her. "Then, I appeared in a hotel, went out and then I got here." she finished the last part in a haste. Leaving out the details is better for now. She still shivered under the sun's heat. She dread to recall everything, because she might never push it back again.

"So that's my life." she smiled weakly and placed her head on her knees, curling in a ball. She never wanted a life like this. All she wanted waanted her family. And now she's stuck, in another time. 'I wonder if they ever wondered what happened to me.' she thought darkly and shook the though away as the pain rises to her face.

She look at her. Parents were a touche subject with her. She normally would argue with the subject of her parents. She would accuse them that she was merely a toy, a thing made to do their bidding. But she nodded insted to Marie. It was too painful to think more about them.

"So, I must be boring you guys. Er, how about you?"

Zin looked at Marie. She seemed so strong even when she recounted what happened. It was an eye opener. She was supposed to be like her. Instead, she had to be the weak one."Yeah. Being related to the gods sometimes suck." she said and smiled. She leaned back, stretched a little and laid on her elbows. The sun's rays hitting her pale face.

Her face seemed to darken a little but it returned back to it's normal shade. "Yes." she said. "In my time, the girls were named with those common name. Rose, Lily, we were mostly named after flowers. Because girls were supposed to be gentle and lovely." she chuckled humorously. "And if I were that, then I wouldn't be here." she said.

"Yeah. Unique. But I still prefer Zin." she said. She wasn't gonna be mad now. "I think Italy is nice. It is said to be more of an old city." she said to Marie, thinking maybe the city will bring her the memories of home. The cool breeze made her sigh. "So, this is what we demigods do for a living huh. Living with the thought of our lives may be taken away any minute of any way." she chuckled. The pegasi landed gracefully to the ground. She stood up, brushed the dirt off her pants and patted the pegasi's nose. She shrunk back a bit but remembered that it wasn't it's fault she fell.

Zin smiled. "Bye." she said. She lofted the reins of her own horse and led it back to the stables. 'What a day.' she thought. After her horse was back to it's stable, she walked back to Marie and smiled wholeheartedly.

"You seem to be enjoying yourself." she smiled. The gentle breeze played with her hair. It went to her eyes and she flipped them away. "Did someone give you anything special or something?" she asked.

"Oh, you look pretty enough to have one." she complimented. But she also though about herself. She too never thought as boys like that until now. Maybe the girl inside of her never really died out.

BIC: "Thank you," I replied. My smile widend. "I've haven't really come close to one honestly," I chuckled. "Not even back in high school. My short Zeusy temper always got in the way."

BIC: "Huh. I got all of my friends partnered up." She sighed. "But I still think as my friends, that are boys, still as friends. I don't know how but I somehow lost my ability in that subject." she said. She shifted her weight to her other foot.

"Yeah." She said. Then she remembered her last sentence. "I'm glad I'm not an Aphrodite kid." She still held a grudge. They did not permit her to cut he hair short again.

"Same here." she said. "Though I prefer my own powers." she said. She summoned fire into her palms and wink at Marie. "Some Hephestus dude showed it."

"So can these." She said with a flick of her wrist. From afar, a large vine began to srout. Harmless at first, but growing thorns. "These can chok you to death. But the thorns have powerful poison." She said. She also summoned a snake. "And this is the most poisonus snake ever." She let the organisms go back to where they came from and Zin colapsed to the ground, panting and taking in shallow breaths.
