Pegasi Stables

Zin opened her eyes slightly. 'Okay, not yet falling. That's good.', she thought. "This may be fun." she smiled slightly but the fear in her eyes never faded. She gripped the reins for dear life and she soared higher. And the scene of the camp from above is breathtaking. She soared steadily and looked at the others with a genuine smile.

Zin had a wonderful time. But then she realized that it needs to end. She looked down and saw the others having fun. She tried at first, to stop the horse but it wouldn't respond."Guys, I'm having fun and all but, HOW DO YOU STOP THIS THING?" she yelled over the whistle of the wind.

"I'm trying!" she yelled. Panick had gotten over her now. Her heart neared fast and her stomach felt like it was pulled to her throat. "It's not working!" she said. She pulled back the reins once more and that did it. The horse slowed down but unfortunately, she fell off the back. Screaming, she forgot all of her powers and just waited for the ground to come near. 'What a dumb way to die.' she thought.

She closed her eyes for the impact. But nothing came. She peeked through her eyelids and sure enough she wasn't dead. She opened he eyes and saw Marie carrying her. "Thanks." she mumbled and looked down. They still haven't gone to the ground. She looked at her face and whispered. "I had the time of my life and all, but I'm sure this will make me look at pegasi at another way. I'm still not sure if it's positive or negative." she smiled weakly.

"Sure. This is one of those 'never to forget' experiences." she laughed and stood up. "Thanks. I really had a great time." she smiled and sat on the ground."But I think I'll place my feet on the ground for a while."

Marie stopped talking. "Are you okay?" Zin asked from her sitting position. She believed that every person has their disadvantages but hers was completely...weird. "She looked up and saw her horse still flying. "Can they ever be tired?" she asked to liften the mood.

Zin smiled to him. "As good as a horse." she said. She heard her horse snort from above. "Well, maybe horse is not what I mead to compare myself." she laughed weakly. She curled into a ball and placed her head on her knees, letting her hair fall to her face. This was a different day than the other ones she usually live through. Today was the first day she talked and laughed so much. And today was her first day to sit under the sun, and smiling like a crazy person. She realized the difference and wondered if she would like to go back to those days of loneliness, or stick to those days like these.

She chuckled darkly. "Well Marie, for your first question, I feel aproximately 13. For the other, well, you won't believe me." the last statement came out a whisper. She was in the civil war for pete's sakes! And now did she only reveal her fear of a horse. The war itself had plenty of horses but no. She had to be weak in front of a few. She laughed darkly with her own self pity and hung her head low into her legs. She of coarse didn't believe herself either. And if it weren't for her memories and scars, she wouldve given herself willingly to a brain expert.

"What if I told you that I was supposed to be dead." she smiled threatingly. "What if I told you I was somehow gotten here by chance. An accident." she said. Her heart seemed to tell her to tell the truth. But would they believe her?
