I did a little half smile, and ran my hand through my hair. "Great! So I'll pick you up at Thalias Tree. Sunday night, six thirty?" I asked. I needed to make sure she wasn't busy then.

Alex positively beamed. "Sounds great!" she said, her eyes practically shining.

The wind picked up and she looked to the now cloudy skies, seeing a bright and quick flash of lightning above. The sound of thunder followed soon after, and it made her realize that she hadn't told Kade who her godly parent was. She decided not to tell him for now. Alex frowned slightly when she realized what going outside would mean to a Big Three demigod like her. Gods, monsters were going to flock them everywhere. But Alex shrugged that thought off--what Kade wouldn't know won't hurt him.

"I'll see you on Sunday then, Mr. Young," she told Kade, smiling again. "I can't believe I'm actually going out with you. Your fangirls are going to kill me. I'll make sure to bring something to ward them off," Alex joked, slightly laughing.

I laughed, a giddy, bell-like sound, and turned to leave. "Yeah, count on it," I said with a side smile, doing a little salute goodbye. I was excited. I mean, I had only gone out with a few girls believe it or not. Alex was really cool, and I didn't want to mess this up.

Alex watched Kade go with a smile on her face. Once he was out of sight, her smile slightly faded. She frowned, not because of the date, but because she was perfectly aware of the dangers that were going to come when they got out of the camp's protection. Gods, being a Big Three child sucked sometimes. Alex turned to the horizon before leaving. She would have to find some clothes to wear. A small smile lit up her features at the thought.
