I happily skipped to the park. Today was my first date OUT of camp. I found happy couples around me, but I didn't care. Arctos and I were already a happy couple. I sat down on the park bench. I saw a small daisy next to me and picked it quickly out of the ground. Then I waited for Arctos.

I hoped I didn't look too casual. I was wearing my normal stuff, just without the sweat.

I was usually sweaty, because I work a lot with the horses and pegasai, and it really is hard work.

But now I wasn't, even though it was hot outside. I had my hands in my pockets, and my head slightly down. I wasn't used to so many people in one place like this. Escecially all the couples. It was like someone took a leaf blower to a tree in the Fall, and the leaves were scattered everywhere, yet still in the same viscinity.

Only some people looked at me funny, probably wondering why a country boy like me was in a California public park. But I didn't care. I didn't really care about very many things. But I knew one thing I cared about. Avalon.

Speaking of which, at that monement, I saw her sitting on a bench, with a daisy in her hand. I almost thought I'd forgot it, but I didn't. It was ring with a small jewel in it. I thought Avalon would like it, because I thought boyfriends gave their girlfriends presents.

And if they didn't, maybe I'd start a new trend.

I walked until I was sitting next to her, and a faint smile appeared on my lips. "Hey darlin'," I said.

"Hi Arctos. You startled me." I said. I kissed him softly. "How was you day?" I asked. My day started really good, so far. At the Mess Hall they served french toast and it was delicious. And then I came here.

THEY SHOULD GET INTO A FIGHT OR SOMETHING SO THAT THEY REALIZE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIGHT THEY REALLY LOVE EACH OTHER.

I blushed. "Thanks." I said. I thought that was nice that Arctos wanted to stay nice for me. I noticed that Arctos was playing with something in his pocket. "What are you playing in your pocket?" I asked with curiosity.

At first, I wasn't paying attention. I had seen a stray dog walk around a tree, and lay down, now napping. I was full of smypathy. I knew I couldn't take it to camp, Smoke would hate it. But I had to do something...

I pulled the ring out of my pocket. "Got this for ya'. Thought you'd like it," I said, handing it to Avalon.

I never was very keen on talking, so I guessed the mall was my best bet. "Where's the mall?" I asked. I honestly had no idea where anything was in this place, it was confusing. It reminded me of a labyrinth.

I winced a bit. To tell the truth, my cabin was hell. EVeryone there was always so anfry and bitter. Some talked too much for my taste. That was why I always stayed away from my cabin as much as possible. "Not the best," I said. "People are a real riot there."

They might have not been a demigod like Arctos and I, but if they were then they would probably be the daughters of Aphrodite. This was the biggest mall I've ever been to. When I went to a mall it only had like 10 stores. After all this was New York City.

I thought for a moment. "No. I don't any good places." I said. I frowned. Why was it hard for a girl to think of a good place to shop? Any other girl would now a good place to shop in the snap of their fingers. "Do you want to have lunch now?" I asked.
