There's so much sand! [OPEN]

"Man really? I guess some people just have weird standards or something." I toss the pebble aside, having become a little bored of it. I pick up a fistful of sand and watch it run through the hole at the bottom of my fist like the sands of an hourglass.
"Anyway, I can't really read your mind... but you're so quiet, I kinda wish I could, yeah. Or maybe you're not quiet, I'm just loud. Either way, we're friends now, right?"

"Right," Sarah says, "And the reason I'm so quiet is because I'm scared that I'm going to say something wrong and you'll get mad at me."

"Naw man, we're mates now, so I wouldn't go around hating you for saying anything. And even if you said something that hurt me, I'd probably get that you didn't hurt me on purpose." I pat her on the back and smile encouragingly, "It's a friendship thing."

"Oh come on," I nudge Sarah in the shoulder in a jokingly exasperated way, "I'm not gonna let you off that easy. You gotta be able to make yer own decisions in life and stuff!"

"Now that's more like it," I emphasize, I stand up take off my shirt and hat and remove my pocket watch from my pants, carefully wrapping it in orange fabric. Taking a running position, I glare at the water with a competitive grin on my face, "Okay man, you ready? Cause the last one to the water's a 0th level sorcerer!"

I slump back into a normal standing position and stare at Sarah in mild dismay, "Whaaaat, no cheating man. Plus... if you end up randomly teleporting in front of me, then I'll automatically know that you cheated."

"What th-?!" I start chasing after Sarah calling after her, "Hey, that's no fair! I wasn't even ready!"

I stress myself to run faster, no way I'm letting anyone beat me!
Only a few inches away from both Sarah and the water, I jump tackle her, playfully trying to push her in.
Falling into the water with a huge splash, I resurface trying to blow some of my wet hair out of my face, "See, if I do something like that, it's technically a tie."

Sarah grins, jumping into the water too, when she resurfaces her long black hair was clinging to her face.

I stop splashing and look at her seriously, "Really? I... Wow, I feel kinda honoured. But I mean, why hasn't anyone ever wanted to be your friend before? You're a really cool girl."

"Well they're missing out," I splash at Sarah again, trying to lighten up the conversation, and jokingly challenge her "Cause I know Sarah's a cool gal, even when her friend Aeon creams her in a water fight."
