"Ummm..." I babble, stumbling over the words in my mind, "If you want, you can get off my chest now... not that I don't like you there. Or... like that I like you there or something. I dunno, I'm... I dunno."

My face was flushed and I could feel myself digging myself deeper and deeper into a hole.
Sarah was my friend, and I... I...
I just don't know.

Sarah was still blushing. Her brain was on a mental stop, "I.." Sarah says, blushing even deeper.

"Sarah..." I whisper, "if... if I did something right now. Like... I dunno more than this. Would you hate me?"

I don't want to ruin my friendship, but... to ignore myself... that would also be stupid, wouldn't it be?

"Then... Then I..." I placed my hands back on Sarah's body, one on her waist, one mid back. That was how you were supposed to do this right? I leaned in forward, choppily and awkwardly.
The first time... I guess I would ever try doing this. But I mean, I've seen it in the movies so many times, I should know how to do this right? She said she wouldn't hate me... but what if... or maybe....

Our clothes were wet and cold, and I'm pretty sure I had some sand in my pants, but in that one single moment, there was only one thing I could think about.

Amassing my courage, I leaned in further, and kissed Sarah on the lips.

Sarah blushed, but as soon as she was over her temperary shock she wrapped her arms around Aeon's neck.

I felt a returning pressure on my mouth. I never expected her to kiss me back.
I felt a spark as... a million sensations ran through me, warming me up despite the cold air around.
I shuffled in closer, deepening the kiss. Wishing she would never let me go.

Sarah blushes even deeper as she feels him kiss her even deeper. Lacing her fingers in his hair she kisses him even more passionately.

I slowly forced myself to pull away from her, I smiled at her while catching my breath.
As though on impulse, I began to play with the ends of her hair. They were wet, glued together in strands, but... they still felt soft.

"You're...." I continue playing with her hair, "You're really..." Tell her she's beautiful you idiot, "You're really.... uhh... you're really pretty." I finish off lamely.
Was it normal to tell a girl that she was beautiful after a first kiss? And... we weren't dating either.

Sarah's voice made a certain shock run through my body, like... taken out of a dream into some sort of hyper-reality or something. You know, like the one episode of... Nevermind.

I gaze at Sarah expectantly, "You...?" I smile at her encouraging her to continue.

"Wh-what?" I gasp out of pure shock, "Y... Yes of course!" Eagerly I grab her and pull her against me again. Err... real cool Aeon, rushing in like that, you probably look like you're desperate or something.
Cooling my nerves, I brush her hair to the side, and lean my head in closer to her ear, "I mean.... yes. Nothing would make me happier."

"You... you wanna go on a date sometime?" I scratch the back of my head with some mild nervousness. I knew she would say yes, but... I mean, the first of everything is so awkward, "We could sneak out of here and watch a movie... or like, whatever you wanna do."

"Alright!" I remove my hands from Sarah's waist and jump up excitedly, "So what movie do you wanna watch? I don't keep up with them much, so any one you want is cool with me. And like... when do you wanna do this?" I could feel my mouth running a mile a minute asking a bunch of questions that sounded stupid.

"Sounds like a good idea!" I grin at her, "But maybe... we should change first, you know?" I indicated at our moist clothes from right after swimming.
"How about we meet each other in..." I pulled my watch from out of my hat, "30 minutes at the pine?"

What am I doing, I have to get ready! I blush a deep red, and rush off towards the Hermes cabins. I call out to Sarah while waving at her energetically, "I'll see you in a bit!"
