There's so much sand! [OPEN]

I took off my socks and shoes and ran across the sand, feeling the grains escape from my toes. Boy was this great or what? I wasn't expecting there to be a beach at the camp at all. I kept running and running until I felt myself running out of breath.
I stopped and sat on the ground for a breather. I wiggled my toes a bit, enjoying its fineness as I looked to the sky and breathed in the fresh air.

Sarah appeared in the shadows, she stepped out and sat down on the sand.

Suddenly, I become aware of the presence of a young girl beside me. She looked to be around my age... no. She would be younger by a couple of months. I stopped myself, wondering how I could possibly know that. She was dark looking girl, mysterious looking in a word.
I stood up and walked towards her, with a smile, I said amicably, "Hey, what's up?"

"Oh you know, beach stuff. Messing around with sand, that kind of stuff. Oh, mind if I sit here?" I ask, sitting down beside her without waiting for a response. "Like the sands of the hourglass, so are the days of our lives..."

"Hahaha, that's a weird way to start a conversation," I smile at the girl brightly, "Normally people ask for names and stuff. Well... I'm game anyhow. I'm unclaimed, so I don't know who my god parent is. What about you?"
I picked up a small pebble and started tossing it around from hand to hand.

I whistle in amazement, "Wow, a big three kid, hunh? Wow, that's impressive. I'm Aeon Ananke, happy to meet'cha mate." I hold out my hand for a shake.

"Mmm... You know, I'd like to be able to watch a sunset on a beach one day. I hear those are neat..." I say whistfully.
"Oh hey man," I say, as a boy approaches us.

"Wow, how did you guess! Can you read minds or something?" I look at him in awe. I turn back to Sarah, "Oh, you've seen one already? With a guy no doubt," I nudged her playfully in the arm without any regard for her personal space, "That's what looking at sunsets is for right? Hahaha."
