Just skating. What about you? {G H O S T}

HYRULEAN . . . . . .

When I saw that she was blushing, my mind
went full haywire. Here was a girl I barely knew,
but something about her seemed to attract me
to her. This wouldn't help me find anything about
the mysterious lost-memory girl in my past, but
Kara was just so encaptivating in her own way.
I had thought that she was ice cold just like what I
had thought of children of the winter, but Kara
seemed warm and pleasant. It also didn't help my
focus that she was stunningly cute. I must have
just been sitting there staring at her. Oh god,
creep mode activated. Wonder what she thought
of me?

Kara
I noticed him looking at me. I lightly
put a hand on my cheek. "Do I have
something on my face?" I asked cu-
riously. I mean, he couldn't have b-
een staring right? Someone sweet
like him would alreadly like someo-
ne right...? This was cunfusing. Guys
were confusing. Feelings were conf-
using. Heck, the whole world was
puzzling.

HYRULEAN . . . . . .

"N-n-no." I think my face was going to spontaneously
combust from the amount of blood in my cheeks.
"There's n-nothing on your face, I just think you're
really beautifu..." I trailed off as my face must have
turned the colour of an apple, due to my stupid mouth
not even following my befuddled brain's signals. I got
up to leave, I felt like she was going to laugh at me.
Me and my stupidity around cute girls. Ugh.

Kara smiled a bit at his sweet comment. But at the same time, she felt a bit awkward. Maybe because someone never called her beautiful like that. Much less a guy. It made me feel trapped though. I didn't know what to say. What woud be appropriate for a reply. "Thanks I guess." She said while blushing an even darker shade of red.

She nervously fiddled around with her fingers in her pockets. He seemed sweet. I guess he was embarassed right now. I get that. Theres nothing to be ashamed of though. AD\HD did things to you. One of them was it made you blurt unncessary things out. Even if it was a compliment.

She noticed him get up off his seat. "You know, I'm not going to make fun of you for what you just said. I'm not that kind of person. If thats what you're leaving for. AD\HD makes us blurt out things once in a while. I get that." She told him. Personally, She'd actually like it if he stayed. I mean, I didn't have anything else to do with my time. Why not have someone else around for a change? she thought to herself.

HYRULEAN . . . . . .

I took a deep breath and exhaled a cloud of vapor.
"I'll stay... i-i-if you want. Thanks for understanding,
I-um, thanks." Looking shyly into her eyes, I felt like
I was a ten year old starry eyed kid with a crush on
the cutest girl in the grade again. I took a deep breath
and pulled some courage out of god-knows-where. I
was always scared that something would happen to
those I cared about, and when it got far enough, I lost
my fear of rejection to the fear of never being able to
do what I had wanted to do in the past. I sat back down
on the bench, and gently pulled her left hand from her
pocket. It was warm, just like my hand. Two cold-immune
teenagers sitting on a bench in the winter.

Our gazes were darting across each other's faces. I pulled
the enchanted silver puzzle piece from my left pocket.
"Hephaestus gave this to me through a dream. It
replicates itself when I entrust someone else with it. But
if you accept this from me, I'll be able to hear any cries
for help you may have. I'm a decent fighter, so...
I hope you can take it."

The brilliantly silver puzzle piece was intricately engraved
with industrial emblems. "I've only given this to people I
throw my faith into. Sometimes... it's been placed in the
wrong place, and the puzzle cracks and returns to me.
I-I feel I could trust you with this." Taking the piece, and
rubbing the design on it, I pressed it into her hand,
looking into her beautiful eyes, trying to read her
expression. I was scared of what she would say, or do.

Kara was simply puzzled. She didn't know what to do. So she made the obvious choice. Take the peice of silver. In her hand, it felt etreemly light, but what really puzzled her was why he would trust her with this. She hadn't known him for even a day. Yet he was trusting her with this?

Our faces were awefully close when she gave him her thanks and clutched it in her hand. It felt like that he really trusted Kara. In her opinion. Most others wouldn't do this for her. Most others would judge her for who my mother was, or who her dad was. Labelling her as a brat. But this boy, this boy gave her something like this. She felt her cheeks go red and smiled warmly at the boy. Hoping that he would know how thankful she was for his gift.

HYRULEAN . . . . . .

As I saw her smile warmly, I grinned right back, probably
looking like an idiot. Still holding onto her hand like I would
never let go, I saw that she still had confusion flitting across
her face. I wanted to somehow get rid of that. I'd want to
say it was completely intentional, but the ADHD brain within
me decided that he had to do something about the fact our
faces were so close together. Yes, I somehow decided that
the distance between our lips needed a sudden decrease.
Still blushing like an overripe tomato, I leaned in even closer,
holding her tight, and lightly kissed Kara.

Kara was shocked\happy\confused at the same time. She finally came to her senses. She kissed the boy back. She slid her arms around his neck and smiled a bit. He wasn't pulling away, that was good in her opinion. If you were to ask why she was doing such a thing, she would have no idea. She would probrably blame it on someone or something.

She also didn't know why she didn't pull back. This though annoyed her greatly. Like a ton of other thoghts. The world was full of mysteries. She barely knew this boy, yet she was kissing him. What was the moral in that? Whats the point of that? Even she didn't know. Neither did anyone else.

HYRULEAN . . . . . .

I must have been so happy my eyes were watering, but
not really becausei'mamanlyguywithnoemotion- oh, adhd
sidetrack. But as I felt her smile into the kiss and felt her
arms around me, all distractions faded. It was strange I
was so open and attracted to a girl I barely knew, but there
was something about her that made me want to hug her and
always be there for her. Hopefully she would reciprocate.

But as I ran out of air, I pulled away, and very insincerely
apologized, "Sorry, Kara, I-I got carried away and I -mmf!"

Kara leaned in a pecked him on the lips. "Oh shut up." She said, smirking. To her, his stuttering seemed as if he wasn't shy. It seemed as if he didn't want to pull away. Too bad for him. He shouldn't have pulled away in the first place. she thought.

HYRULEAN . . . . . .

I laughed as she told me to shut up. Obviously, I had never
done that before. Haha~ Looking into her entrancing black
eyes, I saw affection, and a tad bit of annoyance. Maybe she
hadn't had enough? Well, I needed air, I thought. But now I'm
all rested, andd... I pulled her in again to kiss her. I HAD NO
IDEA WHAT I WAS DOING, BUT NOOO REGRETS!!!

Seriously, what was with my attraction to this wonderful girl?

Kara was truly confused. What was the boy trying to do? Ishe kissed him back though. The feeling was too good to refuse. I closed my eyes. The whole world was so much clearer. She could hear the scraping of blades against the ice, the soft sound of the rustling wind. She felt the warmth of the dun awainst her skin. Yet she also felt the icy feeling of the cold ice.

HYRULEAN . . . . . .

Finally, we were both out of breath from an amazing second kiss,
holding it for as long as possible, savoring the moment. My senses
seemed to resharpen, suddenly taking in everything around me. I
soon felt Kara's gaze on me, and her face had this unimaginably
cute confusion to it. I brushed some hair away from her eyes, and
suddenly I realized what I was doing. Stammering out, "I don't know,
I-I-I really like you, Kara. I'm sorry if...- if that was forced or something."
I shut my eyes. Hard.

Kara... blushed as red as a tomato. She just kissed someone. Twice. "Do you- would you like to uh, go out sometime?" She asked him, hoping that he would say yes. She felt like giving this boy a try. He seemed nice.

HYRULEAN . . . . . .

My heart nearly leapt out of my chest when she asked me out.
Asked me out? Ohmygosh. My heart was probably beating at
sixty thousand beats per minute, the way I saw the shyness in
her beautiful eyes and face. "Jurkk- I mean, yeah..., uh, sure."
I smiled at her, the smile probably splitting my face apart, or so
it felt. "That... that would be great." I tried to play it cool, but I'm
sure my excitement/blind infatuation was showing on my face. :/

Kara...
smiled. "So uh, saturday at 5:00 at Thalia's
tree?" I asked him. I had no idea what we
were going to do, but we could catch a mo-
vie or something then have dinner and go
back to camp. A very typical first date thing.
I guess.

HYRULEAN . . . . . .

"That would be... awesome." I laughed lightly, and stared at her.
Her eyes were really something to get lost in. With a start, I
remembered I was supposed to meet a friend of mine that had
just come into camp, like me. I got up, hugged her and whispered
to her, "I'll see you there."
