Essie shook her head. "Sure, but where exactly?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at Lina. "No Brooklyn." she said, looking at her. She had had enough with her old Brooklynite life.

After a while, Melina gave it some thought. She knew she would be putting them in danger, and her own family in danger by doing this, but the teenager had her reasons. She wouldn't act before having an excuse.

"We could visit my family!" she exclaimed with joy. "You're my friend, right? My father would love to meet you! He's a great cook too!"

The daughter of Athena waited for Essie's reply, hoping that she would agree to the trip to Manhatten. "It'll be fun, I promse!"

Essie thought for a second. As long as they wouldn't find her it would be fine. "Sure." she smiled, hoping her worry didn't show. "I would take you to Brooklyn...but yeah..." she trailed, She probably didn't want to see the slums that Essie grew up in.

With that, Melina started for Half-Blood Hill. She called for a taxi to pick them up, and it arrived within minutes.

"My family can be a little hectic," she concluded, "but you'll get used to it. I have four half-siblings, so watch out."

Essie raised her eyebrows. "Wow." she said, and shrugged, "I'm... and only child." she said, waving her hand. "Manhatten huh?" she asked, looking at Melina as she got in the cab.
