Evelyn hadn't realized she had even fallen asleep. She stirred awake in a cot. "Where am I?" She gave a start, and looked around. She peered at the bandage on her shoulder. She saw the boy from the hill see her wake up, and she gave a small wave.

"And she's awake. Welcome back from the unconscious sleeping beauty. Figured I wait for you to be healthy before I left, especially since the doctors wrapped me up and ordered bed rest." Joseph lifted up his shirt to show Evelyn the bandage going down his stomach. "I can't leave for fear of reopening the wouind or whatever."

She blushed at the sight of him pulling his shirt up. Evelyn quickly gained her composure. "That is not too bad, is it?" She touched her shoulder, and faintly winced at the still-there pain.

"I suppose I am. And you mentioned something about me being a half-blood? I'm not entirely sure what that means." She saw a calendar with the current year on it, and suddenly straightened, shocked. "Oh, goodness, no."

Jospeh was going to answer her first question when she suddenly flipped out. "What is it? Does something hurt?" Jospeh looked at Evelyn with a onfused look and raised eyebrows.

"I was gone for a hundred years." She suddenly felt hollow. "Oh, no, Father..." Evelyn began to sob into her hands, almost forgetting that Joseph was beside her.

Shit, shit she's crying. Crap what do I do. Gods people are difficult. "A hundred years? How did you even manage... Never mind. Look, everything is going to be okay, okay? Camp half blood is safe, it's just people like us. Half human. Half god. Little g, following the word greek."

Evelyn gave a hiccuping chuckle. She looked up, tears very slowly beginning to dry. Greek gods? She had read a book on them somewhere in her father's library. She was reminded of her father, and how he was surely dead, and she fought away the tears. "So my mother was a Greek goddess?"

Or your father was, and you were raised by a foster parent. To be honest there's no way to tell. But probably yeah your mother was a goddess. Who she is I couldn't say. I'm the son of darkness itself.

She sat there, deep in thought. She'd always comforted herself when reading those types of stories by telling herself that it wasn't really real. "I'm sorry. This is just kind of a lot to absorb." She wanted to get up and find out who her mother was, but she moved her shoulder the wrong way, and fell back with a grunt.

Evelyn sighed. "I don't really remember. I don't know if I want to remember." She had dreamed about what had happened on her way to camp, and it wasn't pretty.

Jospeh nodded "Yeah." Jospeh laid back on his bed and stared up at the ceiling. WIth a laugh he said "You know, you owe me one, and a rather large one at that."

Evelyn closed her eyes and smiled. She laid her head on the lumpy pillow. "I suppose I do.. What did you have in mind?", she joked.

"Well I suppose there sin't really one, other than it would be bad for our health." Joseph laughed and sat up again, with a little wince. "Although, it would probably hurt a bit." Jospeh set his legs on the ground next to his bed, and stood up "Plus these hospital gowns are probably pretty noticeable."
