June moves into the Hera cabin {O-P-E-N}

I went into my new Cabin. Hera, it was nice to be out of that dirty old Hermes cabin. Not that it wasn't nice, it was just that there were a lot of kids in there that weren't claimed. I'm glad that I got claimed when I did. I was just about ready to give up any hope of my mom claiming me, but she did it! I was a daughter of Eos, goddess of dawn. It was funny, becuse I had a dog named Dawn.

Dawn was at my feet, yapping. I was standing in the door way of the cabin. Off to my left, was a girl. She didn't look to happy to be here.

"Um, exuse me, but is there any empty bunks?"
The girl pointed across the room.
"Pretty sure that one is vacent."
I smiled at the girl. She had pretty red hair.

I walked into the room, and over to the right side, and sat down on the bed. The cabin was a little to pink for me. Pink was a nice color, but it was over-used a lot.

"Well, this is our new home, Dawn."
I began putting away my things. My clothes went in a suitcase under my bed, the pictures of my dad and friends went up on the wall, and Dawn's little doggy-bed went at the end of mine. There, all settled in. I said to myself.

I looked at the bunk above mine. I wonder who slept up there? It would be nice to know who would be sleeping above me, hopefully no one in this cabin would snore, because I knew a lot of people in the Hermes cabin that snored.
"Exuse me, but I'm new in this cabin, I said to the person above me. " Do you know of anyone in here who snores?"

Who was that? I turned around, to see a familier face.

"Oh, hey Gwen! Nice to see you!" Gwen was my half sister, and I had just met her the other day. It was cool to find out that you had distant family. I probobly had other half brothers and half sisters that I didn't know about.

I climed down, off of the top bunk. "Oh, that's to bad. Maybe it's empty. Oh well, it's nice to know where I finally belong." I went down and sat on my bunk. "Where's your bunk at?"

I nodded. "Yea, I just moved in. I don't have that much, so it didn't take me to long to unpack."

I looked around my little bed, and saw the other girls bed's. They had a lot more stuff then I did, then again, there mom or dad probobly didnt' work two or three jobs.

"Um, no, I haven't heard of any other children of Eos. If I did, then I don't remember, sorry. But, then again, wouldn't it be kinda cool if we were her only two kids?"
If we were, I'd feel really special.

Caleb had just woken up when he heard feminine voices not far from him. He groaned loudly, stretching his arms, before putting his glasses on to see clearly. He blinked a few times, trying to clear his groggy vision. He spotted a two girls talking, one of them he didn't recognize. Caleb couldn't help but overhear their conversation and he snorted loudly as he got out of his bunk.

"Yeah, really cool," he said loudly as he yawned. Caleb was never the nice person, so he had no problem barging into others' conversations. Ruffling his hair, Caleb sat on his bunk. "Either that or your other siblings got slaughtered before they got into camp."

It didn't seem like Caleb was in a good mood, being so unusually blunt especially when he just woke up.

Caleb shrugged. He gave another huge yawn. "I'm just stating the possibility, Missy," he said simply as he stood up, still a little unbalanced from waking up. "Doesn't necessarily mean it's true, but still, there is a slight probability it is." Of course, Caleb had wondered the same thing as he perceived himself to be the only son of Momus at the moment, never actually having met a sibling of his. No wonder he had such a ready answer.

I nodded, agreeing with my younger sister.
"It really is mean. What if you found out you had a little half-brother, but he died trying to yet here?"

Dawn was barking at the boy from my feet. Who was this guy? I didn't know him for even five minutes, and he was already being mean.

Caleb shrugged. "Not as if I knew him personally," he said indifferently. "Won't really make a difference to me."

Gods, was he feeling very particularly mean today? Well, he was just being honest with them. Caleb looked at the dog emotionlessly. The barking was beginning to annoy him. He sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. It seemed like he couldn't help but utter these kinds of comments. Huh, no wonder he couldn't get any friends. Not that the fact bothered him, really. Caleb firmly stuck to the fact that he worked solo.

Caleb was very amused at the reaction of these girls. He was actually starting to enjoy himself, for some weird reason. "I really don't care," Caleb reassured the two girls, squinting through his glasses. "Don't automatically assume that everyone is like that. It's called generalizing, and usually causes wrong assumptions." Caleb flexed his arms as he started to move towards the door.

This guy was using some big words, like generalizing. What did that even- oh wait, he just told me.

"Yea, I guess your right. But, still, it's not good to think like that."

Who would want the glass to be half empty all the time? Wouldn't they want to live on the other side, where it's half full? Oh well, those people who think negativily all the time will just have to keep thinking like that.

Caleb was not even sure why he hadn't truly left yet. He was already by the doorway--one step would take him away from these two girls. Besides, he had better things to do, or so he was thinking. Maybe he just wanted to have the last word before he left? "No need to point out the obvious," Caleb said, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. He sighed. "See you around, ladies. Or not."

"Um, okay-bye?"
That was weird. This guy comes out of no where, says some mean things, and then says he's going to leave. Were all of the kids in the Hera cabin like this? If so, than I probobly wouldn't have much fun here.

"Oh. Okay-thats good then."
The cabin was nearly empty now-just me, abd Gwen, that first girl from before, and two other people. I looked at a clock on the wall-it was 12:00? No-I hated how my dyslexia did that to me. It was...3:15. Where was everyone?

I shrugged. "I was just about ready to ask you that."
It really stunk, to be new to a cabin, and no one was in there but me, my half-sister, some rude guy who left, and another girl.

"Probobly down at the mess hall, eating. I'm not all that hungry, that's why I'm not there." The girl from before spoke, she was holding a little black bird in her hands, it was pretty cute. I looked to Gwen.
"Looks like we're late for lunch." I laughed.

I thought for a second. "Well, I got claimed, and then I hurried over to the Hermes cabin and got my things. Then, I told Chiron I had been claimed, and then I came here. I really didn't think about lunch." Oops.

Well, how about We both go to the mess hall, and I simply eat lunch, and you can introduce me to the other Hera cabin members?" I didn't want to be the idiot who sat at the lunch table and didn't talk to anyone. No, I was going to make a lot of friends, and love it here.
