As you can see, I have created a new character topic. My last one was clean, but I wanted to add some information to it that I was unable to do with the way I had it set up. So, I have created a new character topic. I would like to keep this as organized as possible, so please don't clutter it up with conversations. Comments are fine, but I would prefer not to have full on conversations here, if possible. If it does get cluttered, then I reserve the right to delete unnecessary posts.

From The Mind Of Angel. Charlie

Name:
Charlotte-Marie "Charlie" Grandge
Gender:
Female
Age:
Frozen at 17 years of age. Though, in reality, she's 25.
Birthday:
July 15, 1986
Godly Parent:
Iris (Ίρις), goddess of the rainbow and divine messenger
Claimed:
Yes
Years in Huntresses:
8 years
Group:
Gatherers

Mortal Family:
• Father (Oscar Grandge): Oscar Grandge used to be a care-free, wild, insane free spirit. He was artistic, crazy, random, overall, very right brain heavy. He, Charlie and Georgia would travel and go on adventure after adventure. It was a great life. Though Charlie was always more supportive of it than Georgia. When both Charlie and Georgia were almost killed, Oscar Grandge decided that it was time to find a spot and stay there. He actually got a real job at a bank, which Charlie hated. Soon, he became more and more organized and responsible. He started to dress nicely and not have paint on him. He covered up his tattoos every morning with clothing or coverup. Georgia was supportive of the change, but Charlie was not. Soon the change became just about permanent when he married Charlie's step mom, Chrissy.
"My dad used to be great! When I was little we traveled, hopping from place to place, learning new things, meeting new people. It was amazing. The best life ever. But then that all ended. Me and my sister were in a "near death experience". It was just a hellhound. And we got away, so I don't know why it freaked Oscar out so much. Yes, I call my dad by my first name. Anyways, he decided that we were going to stop traveling, get a home, settle down, and stay there. Boring. But Georgia loved it. When my dad married Chrissy, things just got worse. He already worked at a bank, and then he marries this stuck up, rich, snooty little... Gah. She keeps him "contained". "Mustn't let daddy go out and embarrass the family with dirty hands!" I want my real dad back.. The one that my real mom fell in love with. But still, all in all, I guess he's a good parent."
• Step-Mother (Chrissy Grandge): Chrissy married into the Grandge family when Charlie was ten. She's a very uptight, proper, clean person. And Charlie hates her. Chrissy and Charlie's personalities both clash drastically. Chrissy is well-mannered, polite, and feminine. Charlie is not. She's messy, artistic, loud, rude, and strong. The only thing keeping them from murdering each other is Oscar. He is the person that steps in and talks to both sides rationally. In the end, Charlie and Chrissy agreed to be civil. And, to help that process, Charlie left.
"Chrissy is just...ugh!' That woman has to have something shoved up her butt because she's so uptight all the time. She's proper, and a lady. Who gives a crap about being "a lady". Don't your parts do that for you?! I just don't understand her. Maybe if she hadn't forced my dad to completely change who he was, I might not mind her as much. But the woman comes in and changes our entire life. The way we eat, where we live, what we do, EVERYTHING. It all changed with two little words. "I do"."
• Sister (Georgia Grandge): Georgia Grandge is the "sensible sister". She is a little over a year older than Charlie and has apparently gained all the wisdom there is in the world in that year. She's a very smart, knowledgeable person. Almost overpoweringly so. When the Grandges were traveling, she was the one that kept the group in check. She was the one who cooked and was responsible. And she was always the one who asked if they could stop traveling and just calm down for a little bit. Charlie and Georgia don't always see eye to eye, but they get along generally well.
"Georgia is my big sister. Though she acts like she's learned all there is to know about the world in that one year. She thinks she knows everything. And I have to say, the most upsetting part of that, is that she often is right. I don't inositol how se can remember these things and names and crap that I don't give a hoot about. I swear, she has a photographic memory. Anyway, me as my sister got along better when we were travelling. Georgia isn't a very stubborn person. So when we would argue, I would win. But then something went her way. We settled down. And it, like, lit this fire to get what she wanted in her. It was dangerous. Because now there three, equally stubborn Grandge women in the world. But when we finalł settled down, she became even worse. She was convinced that this would help our father "grow up". And then she supported the marriage from the Underworld. She was decided on her opinion if the union in less than a week. She loved it. She said it was helping him "Keep up and wake up!" did you ever think that maybe he doesn't want to do those things?! Nate he just wants to eat pizza in bed. He has his entire life to grow up, why would you want more of it? Sometimes I just didn't understand Georgia."
• Half-Brother (Michael Grandge):
Michael Grandge is the child of Oscar Grandge and Chrissy Grandge. Therefore, he is Charlie's half-brother. Michael is six years of age, but has only met Charle twice in his entire lifetime. Though, it's not because Charlie doesn't try to visit. Chrissy believes that the Greek gods thing is "evil", since she's a devout Catholic. Charlie has called her out on her beliefs, shown her abilities, but Chrissy just believes she worships "Satan". And when Charlie came back with "Well actually, it's Hades, and I give offerings to all the gods," Chrissy snapped. She refused Charlie any contact with Michael after that. Charlie has tried to send him an Iris message so she can meet her half-brother, but it's no use. Chrissy watches him like a hawk.
"Michael...the one time I met him he was the sweetest little boy. It seems like he's the only good thing that came out of their marriage... But, that good thing was taken away by the cruelest person to ever live. Chrissy. She thinks I worship Satan! Pah! No, dolt, that's not why I have these abilities. I have these abilities because your husband and my dad got it on with a goddess. I just don't get it... She lets Georgia see him! OH wait, that's right. Georgia didn't want to be a Huntress. She said it was too much work that would be unfulfilled. Well I don't believe that. It's the most rewarding experience I've ever had. But because it comes with immortality from age, Chrissy doesn't let me see Michael. And because I'm not like Georgia. I won't push my heritage under a rug just like that. "

Brief History:
"My history, the early parts of it, was the best! I traveled around with my dad and my big sister. We got along, most of the time, and saw the most amazing things! My dad was my hero. He was so strong and adventurous. I wanted to be just like him. But then those times ended. Georgia and I, being demigods, started to have a scent. And a strong one, apparently. We were attacked in one of our trips by a hellhound. Georgia got stitches in her back, and I broke my arm. But we got away! So I don't know why Oscar insisted on us "settling down". Georgia loved it, but I hated it. And then things just got worse and worse. Oscar married Chrissy. And she completely changed him. Granted he was changing for himself a little bit before, but she really solidified it! No painting, no tattoos, she made him cover up his current ones, no contact with me and he had to dress nicely. Well after those rules were put into effect, I followed Georgia, who had gone to Camp Half-Blood a year before. I didn't stay there long, though. I was recruited to the Huntresses, made the pledge, and it was the best choice I ever made. I love the Hunters. They're more of a family to me than my real family. I don't have to deal with men, I travel around, get to shoot things with arrows, and live with the goddess Artemis and the rest of the Hunters. WHat could be better? I'll answer that for you. Nothing."
Charlie was born in Portland, Oregon. Though she didn't live there for very long. Only about two years after Charlie was born, the family of three began to travel. At first, it wasn't very far travels and they always returned to Oregon. But as time went on, they went further and further out into the world and they returned home less and less. Oscar paid the bills for their house when they would return home, so they still owned it, but they never lived there. It was like an empty thing that they could always come back to. The family would stay in hotels, at strangers houses, or even rent an apartment for their travels to different places. They stayed all over the world. They backpacked across Europe, took a safari through Africa, dove into Asian culture, and explored the ruins of South America.
However, when Charlie was seven and Georgia was eight, the two girls were attacked by a hellhound. Georgia had to get stitches in her back and Charlie broke her arm. After that experience, Oscar realized that taking the girls all these places was exposing them to the monsters wanting to kill them. It was dangerous. And he had to prevent his girls from being hurt. The Grandges moved back to Portland, Oregon and "settled down". Oscar got a job at a bank and started working there, much to Charlie's hatred for the boring job. While at said job, Oscar Grandge met his soon-to-be wife, Chrissy Sarlton. Or, as she was soon to be known, Chrissy Grandge. Charlie never understood why her father married such a boring, dull, proper, annoying woman. When she tries confronting him about his decision, he gets upset. "It's what's best for the family!" he says. Charlie has stopped asking about the marriage over the years, though it's mostly because she wants to preserve whatever kind of relationship she has with her father for as long as possible. When Charlie was fourteen, she went to Camp Half-Blood, as her sister did the year before her. Charlie was claimed almost immediately, since Georgia had already been claimed as well. She spent three years with her half-siblings and it was better than home, but something was still missing. She didn't feel complete at camp. It was nice and friendly, but she felt like she wasn't living her life to the fullest. And then, one day, The Hunters of Artemis came to camp to recruit and Charlie knew that's what she wanted to do.
At the age of seventeen, Charlie Grandge became a Hunter of Artemis. She's traveled around with her adoptive family. She's had close calls, lost friends, and had happy times with the rest of the girls as well as Lady Artemis, who she respects more than anyone else. Charlie has been a Huntress for eight years and, despite the fact that it cut her from her relationship with her new half-brother, she will tell anyone who asks that it was the best decision she ever made.

Physical Appearance:
"My appearance? I mean...I guess it's pretty normal? I don't know! All of the girls in the Hunters say that I'm pretty. But we're not really ones to care much about looks. I'm average I suppose. Average height, weight, beauty, things like that. I have tattoos, if that means anything to you. It probably doesn't. Just look at me or something! Holy crap, don't make me describe myself..."
Charlie stands at about 5'9" in height, so she's on the taller end of the female height spectrum. She has a thin, but muscular frame, due to her training with the Hunters. Her arms and legs are mostly muscle, though her stomach still remains lacking in tone. Her arms and legs are long and she has a short, petite torso. Her feet are quite small for her height. She only wears a size 6 and everyone says that her feet look like toddler feet. Her hands, however, are quite large. Her fingers are long and thin which makes gripping a bow easier. Her right arm is covered in a sleeve of tattoos. This tattoo mural starts at her wrist, goes up her arm, over her shoulder, and down her right side before it ends at her hip. It's quite a large tattoo, but Charlie loves it. Though whether or not her love for it came because her step-mother hates it is unknown. Charlie also has a rainbow on her ankle in honor of her mother, Iris.
Charlie's face is heart-shaped. She has round cheeks and strong cheekbones that people, for some reason, love to poke. Her cheekbones are especially prominent, along with her dimples, when she smiles. Charlie believes her nose to be slightly large, but it's not a very prevalent flaw. While she doesn't have a "button nose", she doesn't have a beak either. Her nose comes to a point and flips up a bit at the tip. Her lips are thick and pink. Often they are turned up in a smile or open because Charlie is blabbing about something on her mind. Charlie always says that she has a big mouth, meaning both literally and figuratively. Charlie's ears stick out a little bit at her earlobes, but whether or not she has yet to notice it or just doesn't care, it doesn't bother her. Her eyesbrows are plucked, though not by her own choice. She let her friend pluck them when she was younger and ever since then, if she didn't keep them clean and tidy, they would grow out like bushes. Charlie has a very expressive face. All of her emotions can be read like an open book if one simply watches her facial expressions.
Charlie's eyes sit on either side of her nose, a bit too close together. They are round with slender points in shape. They are framed by thick, dark eyelashes that are made longer, thicker, and darker by the caked on mascara. Charlie loves eye makeup, but only dark eye makeup. She almost always has eyeliner, black or gray eyeshadow, and black mascara with her at all times. She says she looks bad without makeup, but no one ever sees her without it, so no one can testify that this is true or if she's just exaggerating. Her irises are pure black in color, though around the pupil is a small light of silvery-gray. Her eyes are so dark they can't even be classified as dark brown. They are, literally, black as night.
Charlie's hair is just as dark as her eyes. Her hair is black in color with hints of silver and brown when the light hits it. But her hair is indeed black. It's also quite long. When she isn't wearing it up, which she almost always is, it reaches to the small of her back. It's also quite curly. It twists and spins into ringlets that cascade in a waterfall of black curls over her shoulders and down her back. And Charlie hates it. She'd much prefer straight hair, because curly hair is frizzy. Charlie's bangs are jagged and swoop across her forehead, but she often has them pinned back because she sees them as a hassle. Charlie's preferred hairstyle is a big, thick, messy bun near the crown on her head. She often wears a rolled up bandana like a hairband to keep flyaway strands out of her eyes. She has bandanas in almost every color and pattern. They're like a collection to her, or maybe an obsession. She ties them by the top, so she says it's also similar to a bow. But it seems she's the only person to see the resemblance in that.
Almost all of Charlie's clothes are covered in something. Mostly paint or dirt stain her wardrobe, though she doesn't really dress to impress. She usually wears tank tops or baggy t-shirt with a pair of jeans and her old, worn out, horribly torn and worn down to the nub gray sneakers. She prefers dark colors with splashes of neon and bright pinks, greens, blue, purples, oranges, reds, and yellows. She's often like a walking rainbow. She says it's for her mother, but the truth is, Charlie just likes bright colors.

Personality:
"I'm sarcastic. Yeah...that's a pretty good description I think. I'm sarcastic and artsy-fartsy. And a little strange, but the best people are. I really love art. It's my favorite hobby! Actually, it's more than a hobby. It's what I love to do. I love to paint and draw and sculpt...it's what I could do for the rest of my life if I was allowed. I could stay up for hours on end painting something. My favorite medium is oils, but I love watercolors and acrylics too. I'm a very messy painter, which you can see by my clothing. I don't try to keep myself clean when I'm drawing or painting, because even if I tried, I would fail. Oh right, personality. I don't know... Just talk to me and find out or something! Gosh.."
Charlie is sarcastic and blunt, she's talkative and loud, and rude and angry. But she's also a dreamer. She's a free spirit and artistic. All in all, she contradicts her own personality a lot. When she's angry or tired her sarcasm and rudeness are very strong in her speech. But when she's happy or excited, she plans things and laughs and dreams of wild and crazy things. But overall, despite all of her flaws, Charlie is a good person.
Charlie is, in one simple word, sarcastic. She has a dry, witty sense of humor that seeps into almost every conversation. Her sarcasm is also very blunt and is most prevalent when she's mad. If she's yelling at someone, her to-the-point sarcasm easily slips out. Along with this sarcasm also comes a bit of a potty mouth, though she tries her best to substitute those words for something more appropriate. Charlie loves to make people laugh with her natural sense of humor. Though she has never considered herself a clown, since she doesn't do silly things, she still likes the feeling she gets when she makes someone laugh. It makes her day just a little bit better.
Charlie is a free spirit, much like her father was before the incident. She doesn't really want to tie herself down to one place or to one job, unless it's something to do with art. That's why she never had a problem joining the Hunters. A lot of the girls' only issue with the Hunters is the fact that you have to swear off of men. Well Charlie has never dreamed about fairytales and happy endings. She's very cynical in that topic. "The truth is, no one really falls in love forever. You could be the happiest couple when you get married, but as you grow older you grow tired of each other. Friends grow apart like that all the time and it's completely normal. But when married people do it, it's called divorce. There's no difference, one just costs more money. Be with someone for as long as you're happy, don't waste your money on a wedding only to have a divorce later, and don't kid yourself by saying that you're going to be together until you die. Because even if you last that long, by the end, you'll be sick of each other." With such a strong opinion on the subject, as well as Charlie's stubborn, hard-headed personality, she has never dreamt about staying in one place. In fact, her dream is to see as many places as possible. That and the fact that you never have to deal with relationships and not be looked at like a crazy cat lady is what makes Charlie perfect for the Hunters of Artemis. She gets to see all of these wonderful places, travel around with people she cares about, and just be herself.
Charlie is a very talkative, yappy person. She can ramble on and on about any kind of subject. She's also able to hold conversations with people very easily, even those who she doesn't know. Charlie has always had this gift of being a social butterfly. Although she doesn't like it, she has no trouble keeping a conversation light and interesting for everyone. She hardly ever lets on that she has this ability. The only time she really uses it is when there's someone who is alone or out of the crowd. She'll go over and simply talk to them. Just talk, and it seems to make them feel better. Charlie is a talker. but this talkative trait can backfire on her a lot. Charlie is able to ramble on when she's happy, or angry. She'll go off ranting on some subject and the angrier she gets,t he faster she talks and the more she says. People have a hard time keeping up with her when she does this. Someone physically has to snap her out of it, calm her down, and bring her back to reality. Otherwise, the more and more she rants,t he angrier and more frustrated she'll become.
Charlie is a very creative and artistic person. She loves pretty much everything art related. She loves to draw with pencils, charcoals and pastels. She likes to paint with watercolors, oils and acrylics. She loves to sculpt things and always has a little thing of play-doh with her to sculpt when she's bored. Charlie always has to be doing something with her hands. She has a hard time sitting still, so when she's sitting there playing with play-doh, drawing on her free arm, or twiddling her fingers, that's as still as she's going to sit. Charlie's style of artwork is very surreal. They are like scenes from dreams that she can't remember, or at least that's what she says.
Charlie has a bit of a temper, especially when people don't snap her out of her whirlwind of rage. As Charlie starts to rant about something that makes her angry or a subject she feels strongly about, she grows more and more agitated. If someone doesn't snap her out of it, her serious anger issues that she has kept down for the past few years will resurface and she'll snap. However, Charlie has gotten better at calming herself down. She tried to control her temper, but, as she says, "If people weren't so stupid, I wouldn't have this issue,"
Charlie is a very "dreamy" person. Not the physical way, but the actual dreaming way. She loves to think of all kinds of adventures she could have and plan out extravagant events and trips, though they hardly ever get put into action. People sometimes tell her that she has her head in the clouds. But she simply retorts with: "That's better than having your head down a hole,"
Charlie can be a bit cynical and negative, but only on certain subjects. But these subjects that she has a negative outlook on are ones that people often save hope for. Topics like marriage, love, and family. Those subjects are not good ones to bring up to her if you're depressed about them, because she'll only make your view on those subjects worse. Charlie always says that she's realistic, not cynical. She claims that she sees the world for how it really is, depressing. And the other people that have yet to except that about humanity are all fools setting themselves up for disappointment. This brings us to our next trait, bluntness. Charlie is a very blunt person. She hardly ever sugar coats anything for anyone. She tells them exactly how it is, no matter what might happen. This is helpful in some ways, but often gets her into trouble. It's especially problematic when her bluntness is taken as being rude, which happens a lot.

Likes/Dislikes:
"I like art! And I like dreaming and painting! I like being a huntress.. Uhh...I don't like people. They're stupid. Well, I guess you can just look at the list down there, huh? So then stop asking me and just do that!"
Likes:

Talents:
"I have a lot of light and light spectrum based abilities. Since my mother is the goddess of, not only in divine messengering, but also rainbows, I have powers in manipulating both light and mist. It's kind of difficult to explain, though... They're not particularly powerful abilities, but they have their perks I guess."
Light spectrum manipulation: This is one of her weaker abilities, as well as one of her hardest to control. Since rainbows are just the light reflecting off of water in the sky, Charlie is able to manipulate this light to do her will. Though she's a draw back to it. She can't use actual light. She has to physically create a rainbow and then draw her ability and power from that source. But creating a rainbow is easy for her. All she has to do is toss up some water.
Mist control: "Mist" is the best kind of water vapor to create a rainbow. After much practice, Charlie has learned how to control this mist and even create it from water around her to create rainbows. And from those rainbows, she can draw power and a "beam" of sorts that she can use as a weapon.
Instant messaging: Since she is the daughter of the goddess who people give offerings to for divine messages, Charlie is actually able to create her own messaging system. Though it's much weaker than her mothers and can only reach people within about a 100 mile radius of her. She's also only able to hear them, not see them. But it's better than a telephone, since that allows monsters to learn her location. All of these abilities tend to wear her out quickly, though. So she really only keeps them for a last resort.

Weapons:
"My weapon of choice is, like my other Hunters, a bow and arrow. This bow and arrow I created especially for myself. It's made of wood and painted white. I carved some cool designs into the side, balanced and strung it myself, with some help from the Warriors group, and painted it. I also created my arrows. They're special arrows made just for me. I made my bow my first year in the Hunters of Artemis and it has been my faithful weapon of choice ever since. "
Charlie's bow is named φάσμα (Spectrum). It is carved in an arch and made out of dark wood. It is painted white with swirls of colors traveling up the sides. There is a pattern that is similar to Charlie's tattoo engraved on the grip area of the bow. The arrows are also quite special. The shafts are made of the same wood and decorated the same as the bow, it's the tips that are unique. They are made of celestial bronze and infused with power drawn from the rainbows that Charlie is able to create. While people don't believe that rainbows have power, they are quite wrong. Rainbows are the result of two elements meeting, water and light. When that is tapped into, when the true power is extracted, it's quite strong. It acts as an extra oomph, an extra punch to the arrows and helps them fly further and dig deeper into their target when they hit.

From The Mind Of Angel. Matt2-1

Name:
Matthew Lee Pierce
Gender:
Male
Age:
Sixteen years
Birthday:
April 14, 1995
Godly Parent:
Khione (Xάoς) goddess of snow and ice
Claimed:
Yes
Years at Camp:
Five years

Mortal Family:
• Marshall Robert Pierce (Father): Marshall Pierce died when Matt was quite young. Matthew's fifth birthday was like any other day. Parents busy with work, Matt home alone. The usual. However, his father wouldn't make it home from work. Marshall Pierce was in a hurry to try and find a store to pick up a present for his son. While driving down the high way, Marshall Pierce didn't look to see if the road was clear. Hiding in his blind spot was a large truck. Mr. Pierce moved into the lane and the truck honked its horn. But it was too late. Matthew's father went spinning out of control. It would have seemed like an amusement park ride, if his car hadn't spun into the lanes going the opposite direction. Cars piled up, smashing every inch of Marshall Pierce's beat up, hunk-of-junk car. Mattew learned the news of his father's death later that evening. He and his step-mother received a call from tthe police officer at the scene.
"My dad died when I was little. I don't remember him much. He was always at the office or on business trips. When he got the chance to work from home he was always rushing around and busy. When he was free, he wanted to sleep and rest because he was working so hard. Don't get me wrong, of course I was crushed when he died. He didn't even make it away from the scene of the accident before he died... But I hardly knew the man. He was never around. Guess it's better that way."

• Renae Maria Pierce (Step-Mother): Renae Pierce was the one that raised Matthew after his father died. For as long as he could remember, Renae had been his mother-figure. He didn't even know he wasn't her son until she let it slip one night. At first, Renae was a loving mother. Though she worked like Matthew's father, she tried her best. After the accident, Renae's sanity began to slip. She started turning to alcohol to take the edge off of her problems. She was never abusive, but Matthew started taking care of her rather than her taking care of him. From the age of six Matthew made sure his mother was awake for work, monitored the number of drinks she had, and took the harsh words she would throw at him with a stiff upper lip. He walked himself to school, called in to check up on her, and cooked dinner. Their roles switched after Marshall Pierce's death. But Matthew didn't mind. She was the only family he had left, that he knew of at least. His world came crashing down on him when he was eleven though. A monster attacked their house in Vermont. Matthew barely escaped alive, but Renae Pierce died in the attack. Matthew had no time to mourn the loss of his mother, because at that point he was being whisked away to Camp Half-Blood.

"My mom, or step-mom I guess, was the parent I turned to. Her death was harder than my dad's. After dad died she sort of fell and turned to things she shouldn't have. I helped a bit, but it was her that got her back on her feet. SHe died shortly afterwards... Not much else I can say really."

Brief History:
"My history really isn't anything special... Seriously, it's like when you go to a restaurant and you see this amazing sounding dish on the menu. For me it'd be on the desert menu because I have the soul of a very overweight old man. Anyways, you read the name and the description and it sounds so good you pee your pants a little bit. And then you see it arrive and it's this little tiny glob of food in the center of your plate. Sure it tastes good, but it's literally one bite of food. It's a disappointment. It sounded great, it was built up too much. That's what my history is like, but I guess I'll let you know anyway... But this of that as a disclaimer for boredom."
Matthew was born and raised in Burlington, Vermont. He had a normal family, he supposed. Parents that worked too much, a step-mom that did her best to balance work and children and a father that didn't try and maintain that balance at all. Considering what other lives of those around him were like, Matthew considered himself to be quite blessed with an easy time. Because both of his parents worked good paying jobs almost all the time, they weren't hurting badly for money. He had clothes, food and shelter and never had to worry about not having the essentials. All in all, Matthew Pierce's life was relatively normal. At least he thought it was.
From the time he was born, both his parents seemed distant and distracted. Perhaps it was work or adult responsibilities or the fact that they had a child to support. Whatever it was, Matthew barely saw his mother and he can't recall a time when he saw his father for more than an hour at a time. They tried their best, they really did. But it was obvious what came first between work and Matthew.
That unspoken choice was made quite evident when his father had forgotten to pick of a birthday present for now 5-year-old Matthew. Realizing on his way home from work that it was young Matthew's birthday, Marshall Pierce (Matthew's father) abruptly turned around and swiftly drove to attempt to find a toy store. His hastiness got the best of him, though. Not long after, Mr. Pierce was in a fatal car crash. He died on the way to the hospital.
For a short time, Matthew blamed his birthday for his father's death, but his mother took him to see a psychiatrist who convinced him that it wasn't his fault. Soon he learned a new way of dealing with grief. Jokes and humor. Matthew changed after his father's death. Before he was an innocent, curious, quite young boy. He asked too many questions, was always poking in other people's business, and far too often had to know "why?". Before his father's death, Matthew was a normal toddler. But after, his psychiatrist talked about different ways people deal with loss and grief. He mentioned putting on a happy and joking facade, and that sounded good to Matthew. From then on he became the little jokester. He laughed things off, lightened the mood, and gave sarcastic, sometimes inappropriate, remarks. Often it helped to relieve the tension, but other times it only made it worse.
A few years after his father's death, Matthew's joking and happy facade slowly began to fade. He stopped joking as much and started returning to his curious, actually quite intelligent personality. However, as soon as he let that mask fall, another tragedy struck him like a ton of bricks.
He was eleven when the monsters attacked his house. "Son of the cold one!" they called him. They were large brutish things with blue skin, crooked jaws, and large, smelly feet. The were only clothed by brown loin cloths, but their large guts must have kept them toasty warm during the Vermont winter. Matthew wouldn't have survived the attack if it hadn't been for the young girl and the satyr that saved his life. The girl's name was Raegan, but she preffered to go by "Deryn" for whatever reason. The satyr's name was Birch. He was an old satyr, but he had a lot of spunk and guts. He beat the monsters with a large golf club. Turns out those things were not very intelligent. Matthew escaped alive, but his mother died during the attack. Matthew tried to go back for her, but Birch wouldn't let him.
A week later Matthew arrived at Camp Half-Blood. He was claimed by Khione shortly after his thirteenth birthday and has been living happily in the Khione cabin since. He misses his mother, or step-mother, quite often. But since her death Matthew has never let the jokester, happy facade down again. He's known for never being serious around camp, though this doesn't bother him.

Physical Appearance:
"My appearance? Well can't you just look at me? Anyway, I guess I'm sort of average looking? I don't know! I like my hair, does that count? No? Okay.. Well I guess I'll give you the full description then?"
Matthew has an average appearance, at least he thinks he does. Girls, however, tend to think otherwise. He stands at about 5'9" in height and has a gangly, stalky build. He says he's not particularly muscular, and it appears as though he's telling the truth. But, underneath the layers of clothing, are some "baby muscles" that would get him through a battle or difficult situation. However, he still isn't very strong. His arms and legs are long, as his is torso. His hands and generally small and his fingers are thin and almost girlish. His feet are like boats. He clocks in at a size 16 shoe, so shopping for shoes is quite difficult. His canoe-like shoes often seem to be the first thing people notice about him. Why, Matthew has never been able to figure out.
Matthew has a long, oval shaped face. His chin juts out a bit and it accents his rather prominent jaw line. However, his features still remain soft and subtle. Matthew has a rather long, broad nose. It has a round tip, making him appear to be more child-like. His mouth is always smiling and is framed by full pink lips. Girls always tell Matthew that he has a nice smile, but he doesn't believe them. Matthew has pale, untanned skin. The tip of his nose, his ears, and his cheeks have a red tint to them, as though he has been out in the cold for too long. The brim of Matt's nose and the apples of his cheeks are splattered with light freckles. They're not very noticeable, except when he's laughing, and with Matt, that's quite often.
Matthew's eyes are thin and squint when he's smiling. They are framed by thin, short brown lashes and bushy brown eyebrows. His irises are silvery-brown in color, but they have flecks of blue and black. In the light, his eyes appear to be an unsaturated brown. However, in direct sunlight and in the dark they shimmer like a silver snowflake, reflecting the rays of light that hit them like a mirror. Matthew's eyes are indeed the "window to his soul". His emotions can always be seen in his eyes. Whether he's happy, sad, or angry his eyes tell the tale of his emotions like an open book. This makes it quite difficult for Matthew to keep up his happy facade during sad times, but he's managed to do so and has been quite successful.
Matt's hair is, by far, his favorite aspect of his appearance. It is shortly cropped and barely brushes the tips of his ears. It's brown in color but when the light hits it has tints of silver and purple, similar to his eyes. His hair is very curly. It flips and curls out and doesn't listen to a thing he says. However, over the years of dealing with curly hair, Matthew has learned ways to control it by not controlling it. He tends to wear the "I just rolled out of bed" look and when that's the case, it really is the case. The most he'll do it run is hingers through it. Matthew never lets his hair grow past his ears because it finds it to be more difficult to deal with.
Matthew's clothing is quite simple. He enjoys plaid button-up shirts, skinny jeans, sneakers and his favorite black leather jacket. This is pretty much all you'll ever find him in. It's very rare to not see him wearing plaid. He calls himself a lumberjack. His plaid is always brightly colored too.

Personality:
"I've been told I'm funny? Does that count? Umm...I guess I've been told that I never take anything seriously. But that's not true, I take everything seriously, I just choose to lighten the mood. Sometimes people get mad at me for it, but I don't understand why... I'm only trying to help. I mean, maybe your half-sibling's funeral isn't the best time to crack a joke, but they were all so sad! I wanted to cheer them up! A few people laughed, but it was a sad laugh. The others just glared at me. But I don't mind, at least they have something to direct their feelings towards. It really sucks when you just want to punch something but you don't have anything to hit. I don't mind being a punching bag, as long as it helps."
Matthew can easily be described as the class clown. He jokes, makes wisecracks, loves to laugh, adores sarcasm and is hardly ever serious about anything. However, rather than simply trying to get attention, like most class clowns, Matthew has a reason for his silly antics. He learned when he was quite young that apparently you could pretend not to be sad by being happy. People wouldn't ask you if you were okay and you could deal with those emotions you keep bottled up alone, instead of putting that sadness onto other people. So Matthew decided that it was a good idea to do this.
Originally, Matthew was a curious, inquisitive, eccentric, and happy little boy. He was intelligent, bright, and always asked people why things were the way they were, sometimes he asked a little too much. However, all in all, Matthew was a normal little kid. But then he experienced his first real tragedy, the death of his father, and he became closed off from the world. Rather than becoming unsocial, Matthew took the opposite way to close yourself off. Humor. He joked and laughed and lightened the tension of difficult situations not only for himself but for other people as well.
"I figure that either way, humor helps somebody. It helps me by not having to put my emotions on others, it helps someone else by making them laugh during hard times, or it gives someone who's sad or angry and outlet for their frustration. Sure I might get yelled at or even punched, but I can take it. At least they're letting out their emotions on something that won't ever fight back.." Matthew always says. His reasoning behind this humorous facade comes from a psychologist he had when he was younger. The doctor mentioned this way that people use to cope and it sounded interesting to Matthew. He began to try it during sad times and found that it not only helped him, but it helped others as well, even if they didn't believe it to be a help at the time. Matthew began to keep this facade up all time time and soon it just became his natural personality. He would joke and poke fun, never at anyone else, and try and lighten the mood or give someone an outlet for their frustration.
Because of the mask of humor that Matthew keeps up, he bottles up his own emotions. He'll always give advice telling people to let their emotions out and deal with them, but he never follows it. Matthew will stay happy and humorous on the outside and keep his emotions of sadness, frustration or any other negative emotion bottled up. He releases his emotions by training. He finds that swiping at things with his sword allows him to let go of those emotions without making a big scene. One thing Matthew hates is when he believes he's let emotions out on other people. Matt has learned that even when people don't mean to be empathetic, they are. When you're sad, they're sad. It's simply human nature. So, to prevent making other people sad, Matthew lets out his emotions in private.
Matthew is a very loyal person. Once he trusts you and calls you his friend he will never let you down. In fact, he's almost annoying loyal. Kind of like a golden retriever. Always there to lend a hand, always there to help you, no matter what crap he's going through. This sometimes freaks people out, especially when he barely knows them. They ask him why he's being so nice and he simply says "Because you're upset..." In all honesty, Matthew is very innocent in this sense. He sees someone upset and he believes he can help them. It's a super-hero complex of sorts. Though Matthew would never believe himself to be a super-hero.

Fatal Flaw:
"Every hero has a Fatal Flaw, at least that's what I've heard. I've asked some of my cabin mates what they think mine is, but they just look at me weird. I guess you're not supposed to know? I don't know about you, but I'd want to know that flaw that is going to be my "downfall" because then maybe I can try and prevent it. Though I guess that's the opposite of what they're trying to accomplish..."
Once someone sees the reasoning behind Matthew's humorous and happy facade they'll realize that he is one of the most unselfish people they've ever met. And while this is a good thing, it will end up leading to his ultimate destruction. He will give and give and continue to put others before himself until he can no longer take it. While this makes Matthew kind to everyone around him, it's quite dangerous for is own well being. He puts people he barely even knows miles before himself without giving it a second thought.

Pets:
"My best friend, the one who's always been there, my dear Ms. Opal, though I just call her Opal. Opal is my dear cat. I've had her since I was around nine. My step-mom bought her for me as a kitten to keep me company when she had to work. She apparently didn't know that Ms. Opal could talk. We talked and talked, always conversing and discussing. She's a very sweet cat and almost acts like a loving grandmother, which is why instead of just "Opal" I call her "Ms. Opal". It sounds more like a grandma's name. ...Don't judge me.."
Ms. Opal:

Ms. Opal is a Main Coon cat. She has striking teal, green and blue eyes that stare up at you like the ocean. Her fur is long and brown with stripes that run down her back and fluffy tail. Her stomach is a pale golden brown and has spots of dark brown and black. She and Matthew have an empathy link, so they are able to converse with one another. She wears a jingly collar, with a small bell attached, at all times. Ms. Opal also loves to play in the snow.

Talents:
"My talents are all snow and ice based, since I'm a son of Khione. They're not all that spectacularly different from my siblings' talents. Some of them have super cool ice storm talents! I haven't gotten that good yet, but I guess I'm okay.."
• Snow and Ice creation: Matthew is able to draw moisture from the air and make snow and ice. It appears as though it's out of thin air, but in reality he's simply using the water molecules that hang low in the atmosphere. He's never gone to a place with no moisture in the air, and he hopes he never will. He can use the ice and snow he creates as weapons as well.
• Cold Tolerance: Like make of Matthew's siblings, when you touch Matthew he is cold to the touch. His skin always seems to have a light layer of frost over it. However, unlike his siblings, he is able to feel this cold. He is able to tolerate it easily, but he does register just how cold he is at all times.
• Ice manipulation: Matthew is easily able to manipulate ice to do his bidding. However, he still has a hard time with snow. Snow is not as solid as ice and does not form as easily, so he is unable to control it just yet. He can make snow, but he can't shape it and form it like he can with ice.
• Snow Storm creation: Matthew has mastered the ability to create snow storms. They can range from powerful blizzards to a light snow. Not only does this require snow, but also water and wind. He can't control each element separately, but he can put all three together and create or control a snow storm.

Weapons:
"My weapon of choice is my sword, κρύσταλλο (Icicle). I found it on my way to Camp Half-Blood. It was buried in snow, but I was able to sense something was there. I found Icicle deep under the snow. It had a layer of thin ice on it that crackled like Rice Krispies cereal. I was going to put it back, but Birch told me I'd need it. After that monster attack, I believed him. When I took the sword to the Hephaestus kids in the forge they told me that inside the blade of the sword was called Everlasting Ice. It's apparently ice that never melts. I guess it freezes people I strike with it or something..."
Matthew's sword Icicle is quite special indeed. It is made a celestial bronze and has silver swirls of snow painted and engraved across the two foot blade. The hilt is clothed in black leather and has a decorative handle, unlike most greek broad swords. Inside of the blade is a substance called Everlasting Ice. It resides in the core of the weapon and, when a living opponent is struck, the ice spreads and freezes the wound. It stays put, as long as the injured does not touch the ice. Once the ice has been touched, it spreads like wild fire. This ice doesn't work on monsters that are from colder climates, since they are immune to its icy clutches. Matthew has never witnessed Icicle in true action, since the opponent must be living and have its blood pumping rather than a straw dummy in the arena.

Year-Round or Summer:
Matthew stays at camp Year-Round. It would be silly for him to stay only the summer, since his only true family resides with him in the Khione cabin.
Other:
His color is royalblue. Reserved for Pink's character Deryn, do not dib him.

Name:
Riley Parker Richmond
Gender:
Male
Age:
Seventeen years
Birthday:
December 15, 1994
Godly Parent:
Eiar (Είαρ), goddess of spring
Claimed:
Yes
Years at Camp:
Two months

Mortal Family:
Morrie Richmond (Father) Morrie Richmond was a good dad. He was sweet, kind caring, and loved his wife and son dearly. However, a mistake in the beginning of his marriage, an affair with a beautiful woman, who he had no idea happened to be Eiar, the Greek deity, sent his marriage spiraling downward. Morrie Richmond was a very respected man in the Literature community. He was a professor at Princeton, and he made a lot of money selling his many books. However, Mrs. Richmond never forgave him for the affair. The two got a divorce, and the battle for the riches of the Richmond family began. During the heat of the battle, Mr. Richmond decided that it wasn't worth it anymore. He took his own life and left all of his riches to his beloved son, Parker.
"My dad? He was such a sweet guy. A little too sweet, sometimes, ya know? He just...wanted to make me and Stacy happy. Stacy was pissed when she learned about the will. I wish he hadn't done it. I'd rather Stacy has everything and he's still alive. I don't think I'll ever forgive him for leaving me...like this. Ha, look at me. I sound like a girl. Must be this new hair gel, or something. The smell..it's getting to my head. Ahem... Can we move on?"
Stacy Richmond (Step-Mother): Stacy was a greedy woman. She held contempt towards her husband for his affair, and she despised Parker for being a child of that woman, as she called her. Stacy asked Morrie for children of their own, but he said that, with his job, having one was enough. The fact that she not only had to live knowing her husband cheated on her, but she also couldn't have any children of her own, slowly drove her to madness. She once loved her husband, but as the anger grew she became vain, bitter, and greedy. When she learned that, even after death, her ex-husband had the last laugh, she was furious. She still despises Parker to this day and shipped him away from her as soon as she could.
"Stacy... I always knew she was spiteful, but I didn't know that she was just that evil. If only she hadn't been so damn beautiful, my dad never would have married her. My mom, my real mom, that's who dad really loved. He used to talk to me about her. He told me that he looked at her, and he just knew. He knew that she was the one meant for him. Well, Stacy had none of that. She hated me from the time I was born. And then after she learned about me inheriting everything... If looks could kill, let me tell ya."
Millie and John Freyer (Aunt and Uncle): Millie and John Freyer were kind people. From the time Parker was born, they only wanted the best for him. Millie was Morrie's older sister, so she took his death quite hard. She was a sweet old woman with a heart that went out to every single person. John was a working man. He was tough, but he had a soft core. He had an especially large soft spot for his wife. He showed her love and affection that no one else ever saw. He was pretty fond of Parker, too. The two of them took Parker in when he was thirteen.
"Uncle John and Aunt Millie... They were always my favorite relatives. Aunt Millie was such sweet woman. She used to make these killer chocolate chip cookies. Ugh, I swear. I taste them whenever I eat ambrosia. That's how freaking good they are. Uncle John was a worker. He was always so tough. "Be a man" he'd tell me. No one ever got to see what I saw of him, and that was a kind heart. When he looked at Aunt Millie, it was like it was the first day he ever saw her. Cheesy, I know. I wouldn't have ever believed in soul mates and true love if it hadn't been for these two. I probably wouldn't even be alive if they hadn't taken me in. Don't ya dare tell anyone I got all sentimental and mushy, got it?"

Brief History:
"My life has been pretty normal. Not much to complain about, really. Dad had me with another woman. Mom left him. Dad killed himself, leaving all of his fortunes to me. Mom got pissed at me, dumped me on the street and married some bar tender in Vegas. Aunt and Uncle took me in. I found Camp Half-Blood. Batta-bing, batta-boom, there ya go."
Parker has had a roller coaster of a life, though he'd never admit it. His life started out rocky, and it never went away. Parker was not born to the woman his father was married to. He was born to his father's lover, a woman known only by the name Eiar. Parker's mother disappeared shortly after his birth, leaving newborn Parker at his father's doorstep. Stacy, Parker's step-mother, was infuriated. She threatened to throw the baby into an orphanage;1 Morrie wouldn't have any of it.
Stacy Richmond never let the affair go. She was now burdened with a child that was not her own, and cursed with the knowledge that her husband did not want to have a child with her. However, she raised Parker properly. Stacy, instead, took to shopping to fill the void. She bought things. All kinds of things. Sparkly things, shiny things, new things, antique things. Their once humble loft, that Morrie chose to stay in because a mansion would be too lonely with just the three of them, was suddenly filled to the brim with useless, insanely expensive items. The family was forced to move to a larger loft to accommodate Stacy's growing collection of frivolously bought things.
Parker grew up knowing that one day his parents would snap at each other. His father would talk endlessly about his mother, who he called Eiar. Parker always thought it was a strange name, but he never questioned it. Morrie would rave on and on about how she was perfect. He saw her, and he just knew, he'd say.
Parker would also hear Stacy muttering under her breath. He'd hear her say awful things about his father. She'd take advantage of his guilt and buy to let out her anger. However, after thirteen years of spending and spending, Stacy emptied out the Richmond savings account. When she realized that her husband offered her nothing more, that he was washed up, she left him.
Morrie blamed himself for the divorce. He knew all these years just how angry she was at him. For falling in love with another woman, for not giving her the love she deserved, but he never did a thing about it.
During the heat of the divorce, Morrie knew that, with the affair working against him, Stacy was going to end up with all of their money and Parker too. Well, he just couldn't have that. Morrie changed his will and left everything, all of his fortune, all of this investments, everything, to Parker. He then left Parker's custody to his sister Millie and her husband, John. They were good people, he knew they'd take care of Parker. That night, Mr. Richmond took his own life. Stacy took the news of her loss surprisingly well. In a fit of anger at the loss of her almost fortune, Stacy Richmond ran off to Las Vegas. She soon became Mrs. Stacy Bartender, married to Harvey the Bartender.
Parker, at the young age of thirteen, went to live with Millie and John Freyer, his Aunt and Uncle. They were loving people, and they took very good care of Parker. Millie, as it turns out, was a daughter of Aphrodite. This didn't surprise Parker once he knew, in old pictures she was beautiful. She still was. Millie, as it turns out, was only Morrie's half sister. Millie kept the secret of who Parker's real mother was to herself, though.
As Parker aged, despite how minor a goddess his mother was, he began to see monsters. At the age of seventeen, Millie explained to Parker about his heritage. At this time the boy had grown up to be, on the outside, nothing like his father. He was suave, cool, and quite the ladies man. With a different girl home every weekend, Parker gained a very hefty reputation. After he was informed of who his mother was, Millie shipped him off to Camp Half-Blood. Uncle John never knew about Millie's true heritage. He believed that Parker was sent to an all boy's Catholic School.
Parker has been at Camp Half-Blood for two months now, and his outward personality didn't change a bit. He instantly had girls falling at his feet. He'd use them up, and then he'd have them convinced that breaking up was their idea. However, this left Parker feeling empty. He often wonders, if this is how Stacy felt.

Physical Appearance:
"You're tellin' me, you want me to describe my own appearance? Are ya kiddin' me? No? Eh, whatever floats ya boat. I'm handsome. Handsome features, handsome face. I'm pretty damn good lookin' if you ask me. Brown hair, brown eyes. Surprisingly muscular despite the scrawny looking exterior, let me tell you."
Parker, as he described, is very handsome. He stands at about 5'10" in height, about average for a boy his age. Although he is not overly muscular, he does have a nice build to him. His shoulders are broad and strong. His arms are lacking in impressive amount of muscle, but they are there. He does, when you don't see it for yourself, look like a scrawny kid. His body is bot bulging with muscles. It's safe to say that there are many other campers, male and female, that are stronger than he is. Parker's hands and feet are average size. His knuckles are rather boney, as are his wrists.
Parker's face is thin and heart shaped. His chin is squared off at the bottom and it leads into his strong, curved jaw line. He has high cheek bones, which often give him a girlish appearance. Some of the other male campers make fun of him, but he just brushes it away with a rude remark on their intelligence and a smirk. Parker is rather pale and has fair skin. Although he does spend a good amount of time outside, Parker doesn't tan. He does burn rather easily, though. Parker has a slight cleft in his chin, but it is hardly noticeable. Parker, from the front, appears to have a dainty, almost feminine nose. This is not the case. The brim of his nose is arched outward, much like the beak of a bird. Parker has plump pink lips that are often turned up in a smirk. Parker also has a very pronounced Adam's apple. Not a bit of stubble shows on his porcelain skin. He says it's because he shaves everyday, but it's really because Parker has, thus far, been unable to grow even the tiniest bit of facial hair.
Parker's eyes are round and almond shaped. The corners of his eyes turn down slightly, giving him an almost puppy like appearance. His warm, chocolate brown irises show just how kind he truly is. Parker isn't a womanizer, and his eyes show that. Parker is not good at hiding him emotions when it comes to his eyes. They are warm, kind, and comforting. You look at them, and you feel the warm glow of the sun, you seem to smell freshly baked cookies, and you almost hear the laughter of children as they play outside in the new spring day. His lashes are thin and dark, and appear almost nonexistent. His eyebrows are dark and thick, often arched up in a grin.
Parker's hair is something that girls are often obsessed with. It's well styled, quaffed, and puffed up neatly. His long bangs swoop across his forehead, while the rest of his hair ends just about his ears. His hair is dark brown in color. At times, it can appear to be almost black. At other times, his hair can look light, seeming as though it has streaks of blonde in it.
Parker's clothing style is hip and fresh, but classic. He likes leather jackets. He goes almost no where without them. He also likes button up shirts, in various colors, and jeans. Parker does not spend his father's money on clothes, though. He hardly spends in on anything. Parker goes looking for bargains, sales, and waits for things to be 50% and cheap before he buys them.

Personality:
"...My personality? Pfft, I dunno. How am I supposed to know how to describe myself, huh? Some girls say I'm charming. Others say I'm a manipulator. So which one is true? Personality is in the eyes of the beholder, and is not a simple list of traits that can be calculated. Everyone has multiple personalities that come out around different people. You're shy around adults but loud around your friends, so which one are you? No one really knows what their personality it. They know what they wish it was, what they want to think it is. But no one really knows."
Parker is like spring. He's reborn. He can be cold, frozen, harsh, manipulative, and sleazy. It can seem as though there's no other side to him as this point. He can be blunt and harsh, unforgiving and cruel. However, he can also be warm and inviting. He can be like a fresh breeze, blowing through the world and adding smiles to the faces of the downtrodden. He can be funny, lighthearted, and kind. He can be sensitive, understanding, and soft. Parker is reborn. Parker is in like a lion and out like a lamb. Parker is spring.

The Lion
On the outside, Parker is a smooth talker. He's suave, charming, charismatic and hugely manipulative. He's a ladies man. He knows how to talk to women, and he never verbally disrespects them. He'll tell them they're beautiful, he'll tell them they're all he's been looking for. He'll say that all of those other women he's been with meant nothing to him, that he was just trying to fill a void because he didn't know what was missing, until he met them. Part of this is true. The loss of his father cut Parker deep. Parker always thought that his dad let his guilt get the best of him. He let Stacy walk all over him, and he hated seeing how soft his father was. He hated seeing how much he still cared for Stacy, he hated seeing his father's guilt. When Morrie took his own life, it changed something in Parker. He felt empty, like he was missing something. At times he'd feel happy. He would truly smile, but most of the time it was nothing but a cocky smirk.
Parker is very good at manipulation. He knows exactly what to tell you to get you to do what he wants. Parker is very good at reading people. He can see emotions passing across faces in mere seconds. He was always able to read people like books, though he hates this sometimes. It makes Parker's gut wrench when he manipulates people. However, this doesn't stop him. He's had multiple one-night stands with women, and he's able to convince them that it was their idea to break things off. This doesn't work on all girls, of course. However, Parker is like a predator. He's able to pick out the weakest link, much like a hunting wolf.
Parker is a very cocky person. He calls it charm and charisma, but it's over confidence. Or, he pretends that it is. He's a flirt and is able to seduce most women. He has those techniques, those moves that melt the hearts of the type of girl he goes after. He'll never abuse a woman. Despite what he may put off, he does have a great respect for girls. He's very gentle with them, and truly does mean the confidence that he gives them.
Parker's womanizing, suave, charming facade is one that he's very good at keeping up. He draws you in with that smooth grin and compliments. He flirts and plays around, though never with more than one girl at a time. However, none of these things can fill that void he has. He knows this, deep down. He feels empty from the grudge that he holds against his father for killing himself and leaving him alone. It eats away at him everyday, and no matter how many frivolous activities he does, he can never fill that void. In this way, he's very similar to Stacy. However, if you mention this to him, he'll snap. Parker doesn't have much of a temper. But if you compare him to Stacy, pointing out the similarities that he knows are there, he'll blow up in anger.

The Lamb
Parker has a soft core that he keeps hidden. He doesn't want anyone to know just how much of a softy he is. He has a warm heart, a kind soul, and a gentle nature that would surprise anyone who thinks they know him. Parker saw his father get walked all over by Stacy, and he hated it. He decided that he wasn't going to be like that. He was going to be strong, not too sweet like his dad. But that's not he case. Parker is a sweet boy. He cares deeply for everyone he meets, even if it doesn't seem like it.
Parker is a romantic. He believes in true love, soul mates, and that love is the most powerful thing of all. He's seen true love before. He saw his Aunt and Uncle, how happy they were and how his Aunt could pull this side of his Uncle out of him that no one else ever saw. Parker is the sort of person that believes in great romantic gestures. Parker is very girly in this manor of believing in true love. It makes him sick that he plays with it in such a way, and he hates himself for it. Everyday his conscious is screaming it. He tells himself he's scum and that he doesn't deserve to be around anymore. But Parker is far too much of a coward to ever act on these thoughts. He knows this, and it's just something else to beat himself up about.
Parker is kind and gentle. His heart goes out to those in need, and they are often the only ones to see the kind side of him. If you're in trouble, Parker is there to help. He loves making people feel better. He likes to help and likes that people trust him with their problems sometimes. One thing about Parker, no matter what, he will keep secrets. He's a very loyal, trustworthy person. He won't dare to reveal personal information about anyone. Parker can get his feelings hurt very easily. He's a very sensitive person, and words hurt him. However, he's very good at hiding just how much these words hurt him. His hard exterior keeps his soft inside very well hidden and protected.
Parker gets easily attached to people. Although he'll never admit it, he can be a little too trusting. He makes friendships quickly and believes that each new person he meets might just be someone that he can confide in. They might be someone that he can show his true colors to, but everyone brushes him off. Everyone has heard about Parker. Guys hate him, or they admire him. If they admire him, Parker wants nothing to do with them. If they hate him, he can't blame them. Girls either avoid him o they throw themselves at him. He wishes that he ones that avoid him would give him a chance to prove that it's all an act. And then he knows that, the ones that fawn at his feet, are just like everyone else.
Parker is very artistic. One way he lets out his sensitivity, his kindness, and his warm heart is through music. He's quite the singer, songwriter, guitarist and pianist. However, due to fear of rejection or fear that his soft spot will be exposed, Parker never performs in front of anyone. He keeps his song books hidden away and he refuses to play anything original for anyone. He'll play songs that aren't his own, or simply play melodies and hum along, but if anyone asks him to sing what he's humming, he says no.
Parker is a people person. He likes to be around people and likes to be in crowds. Parker hates being alone, unless he's just sitting there with a blank mind. When Parker things, it's a dangerous thing. His thoughts circle around all the things he wishes he's never started, and he ends up throwing his own little pity party. Parker hates that. He hates wallowing. So, Parker attempts to constantly surround himself with people.

Fatal Flaw:
"I thought we weren't supposed to know what our fatal flaw was? I mean, I could guess. But that'd be stupid. I'm probably wrong anyway. Let's just, ahem, move on?"
Parker believes that his soft, kind heart is his fatal flaw, but he couldn't be further from the truth. His facade of a badass is what will lead to his downfall. He's obsessed with keeping it up, sometimes at painfully high stakes. He wants to let his facade slip, but it's become a defense mechanism. It keeps people from getting close to him and keeps Parker from getting hurt.
Parker is also far too judgmental of himself and cares too much what others say about him. He sometimes hates himself for how he acts and the things he does. He feels his gut wrench and he feels physically sick with himself sometimes. Although the things that he does with girls is always, always consensual, and Parker never allows anything to happen with a girl if she's influenced by alcohol. Parker's standards for himself are far too high.
For anything about Parker to change, he's going to have to forgive his father. He's going to have to realize that he's doing exactly what Stacy did, but with a different approach. Parker has locked the money away. He refuses to use any of it, as if that's admitting defeat. He's too stubborn to take the money that his father wanted him to have, because he's angry with how he got it. He blames himself for his parent's divorce and his father's death.

Pets:
None

Talents:
"Ugh, my powers. Can we not talk about that? My mother is the goddess of spring. I've got like...freaking flower power. It's awful. "
Green Thumb Just as you believe. Parker has the ability to breath life into plants and foliage. He has a special touch that can send plants blossoming, just like they would in spring.
Plant Control Parker is able to grow plants that can do his will. He is unable to use existing plants, though. To grow these three, thick vines that Parker controls, he must have the proper soil. Parker can help the area along with his Green Thumb, but the vines are weaker then. If the ground is lush and the soil is rich, the vines are strong. If the soil is covered by concrete, asphalt, or metal, it's much harder to get the vines to grow and can wear Parker out quickly.
Dreams Although this has nothing to do with his godly parent, Parker has always had very strange dreams. His dreams were never of the future, though. They were always of the past. He'd catch a glimpse of a street corner, hear a voice calling out, and then he'd wake up. Parker never understood these dreams, but he sees them as a normal nightly occurrence now. No special powers come from these dreams.

Weapons:
"Weapons, huh? I have loads of weapons. Swords, daggers, lots and lots of stuff. And I'm not just talking about the weapons you can rent at the Arena, either. Nope."
Parker is not very good with weapons. He has a simple sword, 2 1/2ft, celestial bronze blade with a leather hilt. It doesn't have any special carvings other than a vine-like swirl that travels around the hilt. Parker can hold his own with the nameless sword, but he's not particularly good at it.

Year-Round or Summer:
Year-Round
Other:
His color is slateblue. Reserved for Pink.

From The Mind Of Angel. Bellinda

Name:
Mary-Lu Bellinda Maarx (But she goes by Bellinda or Bell)
Age/birthday:
16 years old (November 27)
Gender:
Female
Years in Camp:
First year. She’s been at camp for about a month so far.
God Parent:
Dionysus
Mortal Parent:
Ginger Maarx
Physical Appearance:
Bellinda stands at about 5’1” in height (she gets her height from her father). She only weighs about 90 lbs, because of her small height. Bell had shortly cropped, bleached blonde hair. The tips of her swoop bangs that hang a bit in her eyes are purple and crimson. It’s as though they were dipped in wine. Her eyes are a striking shade of purple, much like her dyed hair. Her skin is pale and she has a piercing on her upper lip. It’s a small silver stud that she keeps in most of the time. Bell has an oval shaped face and her cheek bones aren’t very noticeable. This gives her a rather sweet appearance, as do her rosy cheeks.
Bell tends to wear a lot of makeup to try and detract from her eye color. She enjoys harsh looks and purple eye shadows. Her hair is feathery, soft and straight and it only reaches a little past her ears. (She cuts it herself) Bell has an hour glass figure, however, because she’s so tiny her curves are not very noticeable.
Bell tends to wear rather dark colored clothing. She loves the colors black and white and enjoys wearing colors like that. She hates wearing shorts and dresses and other “girly” clothing items. She tends to wear ripped skinny jeans, even when it’s warm out.
Personality:
Bellinda is quirky, sarcastic, outgoing, artistic, and a bit rude at times. She loves to draw, write, and play her electric guitar (which she has named George) Bell has a bit of a quirky personality and is very outgoing most of the time. She has a sarcastic sense of humor and isn’t one for cracking “punch-line jokes”. She is rather blunt and can be rude whenever she gets angry. She doesn’t ever think before she acts, so she is rather impulsive. Often, she seems as though she is drunk. And at times...she is. But usually, she isn’t drunk...just hyper and odd.
Bell has a great talent for basically all things artistic. She draws, paints, writes poetry, songs and short stories, plays her electric guitar and also sings in her free time.
When Bellinda gets angry or upset she lashes out with rude remarks and harsh words. It’s rather mean to those she’s snapping at. However, she never actually means most of the things she says. But, because of her short temper and rude, sarcastic remarks, she has often lost friends throughout her life. But...she always says that she doesn’t care about these loses. However, secretly she is often hurt by the choice of her friends to leave her and blames herself for her temper.
Pets:
Bellinda had a horse back at her home named Whisky. But Paint stayed behind. However, Bell has contemplated over her month at Camp Half-Blood about bringing Whisky there and keeping him in the horse stables.
Weapons:
Bell’s weapons of choice are her celestial bronze daggers. She has a total of four. When they are not daggers they are the four, wine colored beads on her necklace. She simply clutches her necklace and all four appear in her hand. She uses them for close combat and she’s also been working on throwing her daggers. The daggers always return as beads around her neck when she loses them or throws them somewhere. She has no name for her daggers, she finds names unimportant.
Talents:
Bell has realized she has quite a natural talent for dagger fighting and simply hand-to-hand combat in general. However, because she never thinks things through, she is not the best at battle strategy and planning out her attacks. And this impulsive behavior is often what gets her into trouble.
Bell is also able to control the movement of grape vines. She has learned she has the ability to grow grape vines and also strawberry vines, however, she has not learned how to master this talent yet. Because she has not mastered the art of growing the vines, she keeps a coil of them with her most of the time. She uses the vines like a whip or like a rope of some kind.
Others:
Bellinda’s real name is Mary-Lu. And she finds her name to be stupid and girly. So, she never tells anyone her actual name. She simply calls herself Bellinda and sometimes goes by Bell, since it’s shorter and easier.

From The Mind Of Angel. Emily
From The Mind Of Angel. Emily-1

Name:
Emily Artie Morgan
Gender:
Female
Age:
Seventeen years of age
Birthday:
February 16, 1995
Godly Parent:
Hormes, Spirit of Eagerness and Effort
Claimed:
Yes
Years at Camp:
A little over Three Years

Mortal Family:
Emily's birth mother died when Emily was actually quite young. The gods didn't want her to slip into the hands of a regular mortal because of how strong her fighting skills were meant to be, so Hormes decided it would be safest for the mortal world to not have to deal with her occasional rage. Hormes consulted with the Big 12 before deciding on an appropriate family to place the young orphan with. Her first family, consisting of her dead birth mother and Hormes, is hardly even remembered anymore.
Marcus Morgan (Adoptive Father): Yes, M&M. Marcus Morgan, Emily's fake father. He's strict, which is why he tends to make a good father for the rambunctious Emily. Marcus used to be in the army, which can explain most of his actions, and he came back from his military base because of the birth of his first child, and his only son. Marcus is a rather old, middle aged man, who doesn't tolerate nonsense, but has a kind heart deep down. Through it all, he really does love, but sometimes it's easy to forget that.
"My dad has always been very tough. Even whenever I was supposed to think he was my real dad, I never thought we were related. He was always a very "by the book" kind of guy, I never really was. But my mom always said that we were both stubborn, which is sort of true. Me and my dad, when we fought, neither of us ever gave an inch. Most of our arguments went unresolved and were just put on hold by my mom. Overall he was a good fake dad, and he really did care about me and my brother and sister, it's just a little bit hard to see sometimes."
Juliet Morgan (Adoptive Mother): Juliet is Emily's fake mother, and the World's Best Mom, according to her worn down coffee mug. She, unlike her husband, is gushing with love and affection, though she finds it hard to be strict like Marcus. She isn't afraid to lay down the law, but she doesn't like restricting her three children in any way. Juliet is younger than Marcus, and sometimes it's noticeable, but they love each other as much as any married couple can. The gods saw this in them when they were chosen to harbor the feisty Emily.
"My mom, even though she's not my real mom, is the sweetest person alive. She has all of the love and affection that my dad has, but she doesn't hide it like he does. But she's not exactly the strictest person around. Actually, I don't think I ever remember her enforcing the rules of the house at all. If you wanted something, then you went to mom. All of us kids knew that. She was just too nice and giving to say no. Sometimes I tried to help her to be stricter, because I've seen my brother and sister take advantage of that kindness that she has, but she's never able to. She's just too sweet."
Thomas Morgan (Adoptive Brother): Thomas, who is five years older than Emily, making him 21, is Emily's best friend, hands down, and her fake brother. Thomas is a loner like Emily, but when they're together, the sibling duo brings out the best in them. Thomas has no secrets, and he likes to display his emotions through song. On his free time, since he's finished with college and only has to worry about his future and his situation, Thomas writes music and preforms it on one of his guitars. Thomas is really a nice singer, but his guitar playing is seriously a gift. Each Morgan seems to have their own gift, as if they were each blessed by a god. Thomas strongly represents Apollo, and though the tattoos on his arms might deny it, the Morgan boy resembles the god of music, too.
"My brother was always my favorite relative. He was always so nice and sweet and protective of me. He's my big brother, and I'm his youngest sister. We have the relationship that big brothers and little sisters all over just imagine. We don't fight, we don't bicker, we just get along. He was just always so mature that I can't see it being any other way. He's one of the only people I still try to keep in contact with. "
Sarah Morgan (Adoptive Sister): Sarah, who is two years older than Emily, making her 18 years old. Sarah enjoys reading, and she actively participates in everything that her senior year has to offer. Though she's the only blonde in the family, Sarah isn't the cheerleader, little Miss Popular everyone expects her to be. Even at school, her friends always try and pull her away from her smarts, but she seems to be influenced by Athena. Sarah wouldn't dare leave behind the comfort of learning to wear a short skirt and shake pom-poms. Sarah Jane Morgan is obviously expected to be the valedictorian of their class, which fills the entire Morgan family with pride. Since Thomas and Emily don't try as hard in school, Sarah was their chance to do achieve.
"My sister and I have just always acknowledged each other. We don't fight or anything. And we get along just fine, we're just so different. She's all about studies and school. I was never really much of a school person. Don't get me wrong, I didn't do horribly. I got mostly B's in school. But I didn't get straight A's like she did. And so effortlessly too. You'd expect her to be the popular girl, considering how pretty she is. And people try and turn her into that. But I truly admire her for saying no and sticking to doing what she loves, and that's academia. If I ever need help with something smart and school-y, I know who I would call."

Brief History:
"My history is pretty normal. For a demigod that is. Well, maybe not. According to dreams, I was in Olympus for a while, but I don't know if that's true or not. I don't remember any of that. But I was just with the Morgans until I was 13. It wasn't anything particularly fantastic. It was just...easy almost. Like everything was set in place to make my life as easy as possible. But that can't be the case."
Emily was originally born to a lady named Trixie Shalieh and Hormes, god of effort and eagerness, but everything changed one night. Emily was only a few weeks old, and Hormes had just left the family to grow on it's own when Trixie went out for the night. Hormes could always sense the lady he fell in had a child with wasn't quite fit to raise a child, but his love blinded him. The god let himself be lured into her trap, and when she died that night in a drunk driving incident, Emily was immediately protected by her father. The little demigod was already a fighter, and anyone could guess what kind of warrior the baby would turn into as she aged. Hormes and the Big 12 decided they couldn't let her go to an orphanage, so Emily was taken to Olympus for a short period of time.
Her time on Olympus was wiped from her mind, along with any memory of Trixie Shalieh she still possessed, but that was for good reason. For Emily had a strong destiny ahead of her, and the gods and goddesses that encountered her knew that the moment they looked into her crystal, teal eyes. Many of the goddesses, including Artemis, were drawn to the girl. But they were all drawn to children, especially those with a strong destiny. Artemis yearned to make the girl a huntress, but due to the future she saw in her eyes, she knew that would not be possible. Adventure, pain, sorrow, happiness, friendship, and love were in the young girl's eyes. The other gods, not wanting the girl to be stripped of her destiny, forbid Artemis of allowing the girl to become a Huntress. All of these memories of Olympus and the short time Emily spent there were wiped from her memory the moment she was placed on the mortal family's doorstep.
Mr. Morgan wasn't sure what to do with the child, and Mrs. Morgan was the reason Emily was allowed to stay. Apollo himself had predicted this happening. The couple was the perfect combination to house the young fighter. Both Marcus and Juliet's talents would come in handy when dealing with their new child. Thomas, the Morgan's first born, was more than happy to welcome a new sister to the family, though he did always wish he had a brother, and Sarah was still too young, at age two, to register what having a new baby meant. This was also part of what Apollo predicted. If Sarah had known she might be getting replaced by a new little girl, she would have protested, and the Morgan's would have rethought just keeping the young girl.
Emily aged normally, of course, though she always showed signs of being special. When she was six, the learned how to fire a shotgun like her father did. When she was eight, she could fish by herself. When she was 10, young little Emily seemed unstoppable. She fit in with the Morgan's as if she really was one herself, which was the final thing Apollo had predicted. Everything had fallen into place perfectly enough for all of the gods and goddesses to relax. The young girl's life was on track and her destiny was still set in place. She was scheduled to arrive at Camp Half-Blood on her 13th birthday, and the day was fast approaching. The Morgans did what they could to allow Emily's life to fall into place. They did their best to nurture her, to keep her alive, healthy and happy.
On her 13th birthday, Thomas, Emily's favorite relative, took her for a drive. Thomas's new car went fast, and he wasn't afraid to push down the pedal with Emily in the car. He was confident they could keep each other safe. That was the way it had always been. Thomas drove Emily to Camp Half-Blood. He drove her all the way and never stopped once. If they stopped then there was a chance that monsters could find them and hurt them. Two days of driving later, the two arrived at Camp. Emily has been there happily ever since.

Physical Appearance:
"I don't know, I guess I look...normal? I don't have any tattoos or anything. I have freckles, though. And curly brown hair. But I have to say, the one thing I like about my appearance is my ability to make the most extreme facial expressions. You can thank my dramatically moveable eyebrows for that one."
Emily stands at about 5'6" in height. She has a petite build with long arms and legs. Her torso is rather short in comparison to her limbs. Emily has slight curves that are average for her small build. However, most of her frame is muscle from her training and from simple genetics. Emily has thin, bony shoulders that are actually quite strong and broad for a girl. Emily's arms are thin, but muscular. That's why she tends to stick to sleeves, because the fact that her muscles are noticeable when she bends her arms is not appealing to her. Her legs are also quite muscular, though mostly her calves. Her extremities, her hands are feet, are average sized. Her hands are on the smaller end of the size spectrum and are delicate and petite. They are hands you would not expect to be wielding a weapon. Emily's feet are slightly above average and clock in at 10.5 in size, though her left foot is slightly larger than her right.
Emily has a long, thin, heart shaped face. Her jawline is soft and delicate, giving her a pixie-like appearance. Her chin comes to a gentle, rounded point that gives her a strong profile. Her lips are thin and delicate and are often curled up in a cat-like smile. They are a pale, unsaturated pink in color that blends in with Emily's tanned skin. Emily is the kind of person that just has naturally darker skin. She doesn't tan, her skin just holds that sun-kissed color from her genetics. Emily has strong, but delicate cheek bones. They make the apples of her cheeks round and give her dimples when she smiles. Her cheeks are spotted with a light layer of freckles. These freckles case her to look much younger and more innocent than she really is. Her nose comes to a button-like point and curls up in the bridge, which only adds to her delicate, pixie-like appearance. Her nose is petite and sits in the center of her face.
Emily has almond-shaped, child-like eyes that have a curious, innocent gleam to them. They are not too large, but not overly thin and are usually decorated with light amounts of make-up. Her irises are teal in color with flecks of blue and green. Around her pupil is a layer of gray that seems to give her a wiser glint when you look into her eyes. Emily does not hide emotions well. Everything she's feeling is shown in her eyes like an open book. She has long, black lashes framing her eyes, though they are naturally brown and match her hair, she coats them with mascara to make them stand out more. Above her eyes are her arched, mildly tweezed, brown eyebrows. Emily takes pride in being able to wiggle her eyebrows separately and this ability adds to her talent for extreme facial expressions.
Emily's hair is long and reaches all the way down to the small of her back. Ever since she was little, she had this idea in her head that only boys cut their hair. So, for seventeen years, she has only trimmed the edges of her hair and never cut it drastically. She's let it grow to the point its at now. Despite her hair being long, Emily almost always keeps it down and lets it cascade down her shoulders. She only pulls it up when she's going into battle. Emily's hair is a rich, chestnut brown in color with hints of red in direct sunlight. Her hair is very curly and twists into perfect ringlets. Though her hair grows frizzy from the humidity in the summer, Emily does not stress over it. She's usually able to keep her hair well contained.
Emily has a very simple, typical clothing style. She likes a wide variety of clothes that goes from dark, almost punk clothing to girly, flowery clothing. It all depends on what kind of mood she's in. Though usually she stays somewhere in the middle with sweaters, mild colors and print blouses. Emily also likes to dress up every now and then and has a few dresses hidden in the back of her closet.

Personality:
"I guess I'm pretty stubborn, at least that's what I hear all the time. People say that they don't expect me to be the way I am from looking at me. I think that means that I'm supposed to look sweet, quiet and innocent. I think it's the freckles and long hair that's throwing them off. But I am a nice person, at least I try to be. I don't like putting my issues on other people, though. I tend to keep my personal problems to myself, I don't really vent very much. Why? Because people have their own crap to deal with, no need to make them have to worry about mine too."
Emily is the type of girl that will surprise you. From just looking at her, you think you know her, and bam! Emily turns into the exact person you weren't expecting to see. The girl is a fighter, with quite the temper, as you could expect from someone with such inner power. Her father gives her most of her personality as he is stubborn and influencing, just like Emily. After hard work, the family of father and daughter always feels rewarded, and the two aren't satisfied and at peace unless they've put in maximal effort. Emily is the kind of person that will never give an inch in an argument. That's why Emily and her father fought and fought until her mother would step in and calm them down. Both are stubborn and hard-headed.
Once Emily gets an idea in her head, she never lets it go until she's seen it through. This is good in some cases because this determination causes her to accomplish things others can't. But this is also a bit of a flaw because, even if the idea is going to come back and bite her in the butt, she's going to see it through. Emily doesn't listen to reason from people if she's in this determined mode, even if they're just trying to help her.
Emily is very independent. She is the kind of person that never asks for help. When she has to carry a lot of things around, she gets everything in one trip without any help from anyone, even if it's too heavy and ends up hurting her. She doesn't ask for assistance, never gives an inch, and refuses to show any kind of weakness. She has this idea in her head that if she's not strong and together then people won't like her anymore. She thinks that if she shows others she has issues and problems then they won't want to be around her anymore because she's whiny.
Emily is a very opinionated person, and sometimes her opinions get the better of her. She's very sure in herself and her abilities and sometimes her mouth moves a little faster than her brain. Emily often finds herself throwing out a rude comment or remark and then regretting it later after she's thought through the fact that maybe it wasn't a good idea for her to say those things. Emily always tells herself to stop and think things through, but she's just to rash and eager to let that happen.
Emily has a bit of a temper. She can sometimes get a little too angry a little too quickly, especially when it comes to things she cares about. When something like her friends or her family is threatened, whether it be verbally or physically, Emily becomes quickly enraged. This anger that pumps through her veins is almost terrifying. Emily tries to control her anger, but she doesn't always succeed.
Emily, despite being angry and hard-headed, is a very kind and loyal person. She cares deeply for people and trusts them very easily. Once Emily considers you a friend, she is always there, by your side, no matter what crap you're going through. For even though that determination, protective nature, and hard-headed state of mind makes her the most loyal friend you could ever ask for. Not to mention the fact that, since Emily keeps her emotions and problems to herself, she's almost always in a good mood. Emily is very goofy, happy and sarcastic when those good times come around and there's nothing she has to deal with.

Fatal Flaw:
"I learned after I arrived at Camp that everyone has a Fatal Flaw. People around me joke and say it's my stubbornness. But being stubborn can be a good thing. It's not always a flaw. ...Wait, that's what a fatal flaw is? A good thing that will end up being bad? Well crap."
Aside from the fact that Emily seems to be obsessed with battle, she's also too stubborn for her own good. Things aren't as serious for Emily as they are for most of the population as she views her life differently, which makes her often disagree with everyone, and she doesn't like to give up. Her way or no way is what she likes to say. Each time she survives her fatal flaw, though, she gets stronger, which is why her theme song is Stronger by Britney Spears. This fact is startlingly true.

Pets:
"I love animals, but I don't own any. I've always wanted a dog though. A mixed mutt or something. There is a wolf that seems to be everywhere I am, though. He's tall, with golden fur. I haven't given him any sort of name though, because he's not really my pet."
Golden Wolf:

Though Emily doesn't own any animals, almost all animals are extremely fond of her. Wolves especially find Emily interesting. Emily loves all animals, too. She's very much an animals person. One wolf seems to always follow her. If she has any pets, this wolf, a golden furred large male, has no name, but Emily doesn't feel the need to give him one.

Talents:
    ""
The Battle Ability: Emily is an exceptional fighter. She is swift and dangerous. Overall, Emily is a force to be reckoned with, and a fighter that can really make the difference between a winning side and a loosing side. Though she is one of the best fighters you will come across, Emily is stubborn and very hard to agree with, making her rather indecisive and unreliable.
The Effort Ability: Most things come practically effortlessly to Emily, but the things that don't come effortlessly come with greater effort than any normal mortal, and most demigods, could ever understand. It's bitter sweet talent/power.
The Urge: Emily always likes change, and something inside of her always rushes her to try new things. It's the eager part of her father's title actually speaking to her, though.

Weapons:
"I love sword-fighting, but I'm only allowed to use a sword when we're going into battle. It's part of my gift from Hormes to be gifted with a sword, and since sword fighting is best done with an opponent, Chiron decided it would be better to keep me swordless until necessary."
mily fights best with her bow and arrow, believe it or not, and she's most ruthless with a sword. (Though camp wouldn't all her to have a sword, because she's extremely deadly with one, and it was a safety hazard to give her one.) Emily doesn't own a shield, which is dangerous, but the daughter of Hormes knows it slows her down.

Year-Round or Summer:
Year-Round
Other:
Her color is lightseagreen. Not open for dibs. This character was originally created by Nico. Thanks for the character, Nico!

From The Mind Of Angel. Angel2

Name:
Olivia Contessa Frost
Gender:
Female
Age:
Seventeen years of age
Birthday:
December 29, 1994
Godly Parent:
Khione (Xάoς) goddess of snow and ice
Claimed:
Yes
Years at Camp:
Three Years

Mortal Family:
Alan Frost (Father): Allan Frost is Olivia’s, rather distant father. Allan is a scientist who specializes in the study of arctic animals and foliage. He’s always in Antarctica and other to arctic climates doing research. Even during Olivia’s childhood, he was hardly ever around. Although he’s very respected in his field, he often gets too distracted with work. If he is at home, he’s in his office doing more research on his findings when he was out in the field.
"My dad has always been really distant. When we were growing up, my and my brother, I was the one to take care of the family. We had a nanny, but really I was the one taking care of Tyler. After mom died, it was even worse. Dad became even more distant and unemotional. Who could blame him, after I killed his wife. I didn't do it on purpose! I just didn't know what my powers were yet...and they had just kicked in. He is a good dad, though. He's the one that gave me Blanca."
Tyler Frost (Brother): Tyler Frost is Olivia’s younger brother. He’s three years younger than Olivia and was rather babied by Olivia from the time he was born. Olivia had been more a mother to him since their step-mother, Tyler’s mother, died out in the field with their father.
"Tyler is my baby brother. Yes, my full brother, he just doesn't know it yet. I wanted to take him with me to Camp, but I was too dangerous. If I couldn't touch him, I couldn't protect him. He probably hates me for leaving him, but it was the best choice. I've tried to send him Iris messages, but he never answers. Hopefully dad will send him to camp before it's too late. Sometimes I wonder if I should go up and get him, but I can't leave. That would put him in even more danger..."

Brief History:
"My history is just that, history. I don't really see much of a need to dwell on it. But, if you must know... I was born in Switzerland, which made the fact that I always had snow and frost around me much easier to hide. I thought I was normal, because there was almost always snow where I lived and everyone looked blue and frozen. Boy was I wrong. I'm not normal, and that became perfectly clear to me when one mistake lead to my life crumbling. My powers kicked in after we all moved to New York. Then I realized that it wasn't normal to have snow swirling around you and to be covered in ice. I also learned that I was deadly. At the time I didn't know what my ability was, but I knew that whatever I touched died. The first thing to hit the blunt of that curse was my step-mother. I killed her. I froze her to the bone. After I ran away I learned what my ability was with some training and help from my cabin. And I learned that I'm a freak. Oh well, I guess we're all freaks in one way or another."
Olivia was born in a small town in Switzerland. The town was located in the mountains, so there was snow almost all year round. Olivia grew up in cold weather, and at the time, being covered in frost like the rest of the villagers, she believed herself to be normal. However, when the family moved from their home town to New York for Mr. Frost’s work, Olivia quickly found out she was far more different than the rest of the world. Her lips were almost always tinted blue along with the tips of her fingers, as though she was frozen to the bone. She found that even in the warmest of weather, her skin was cold to the touch and often made others cold when they got too near to her. She was mocked in school but also feared for how frozen she seemed to be.
When Tyler’s mother and Olivia’s step mother died, Lisa Frost, Olivia took the role as mother for young Tyler. She helped the nanny to raise him from the time he was little. Lisa Frost froze to death and at the time, when they were still in Switzerland, everyone believed it to be the fault of the cold, harsh winters. But Olivia knew better. She knew that it was her fault her step mother was dead, but she told no one.
However, when Olivia realized who she was and that she was a danger to Tyler, she was forced to run away. Now and again Olivia will try to call Tyler with an Iris message, but he never responds.
Olivia arrived at camp when she was 13 years old. She was claimed almost immediately and has been at camp ever since.

Physical Appearance:
"I'm tall, with a gangly frame. I have very long, reddish-blonde hair, icy pale skin, and blue eyes. There's not much else to tell, really. I guess I'm sort of pretty, but it's not really something I worry about. I don't see a need to focus on the way you look. It's not like you can really change it, and there's always going to be something, so why worry about it?"
Olivia has a rather hauntingly beautiful appearance. She wouldn’t be described as an ideal beauty, but there’s still some capturing aura about her that causes people to stop and stare. She stands at about 5’7” in height. Olivia has a thin, rather boyish figure, rather than having curves like most teenage girls. However, this boyish figure only adds to her strange, haunting beauty. Olivia has long, gangly arms and limbs and a short, stout torso. Olivia’s arms and legs are considered “toothpick thin” and appear as though they will snap like twigs with any sort of pressure. Because of that, she isn’t very strong or muscular. Her hands and fingers are long and claw-like.
Olivia’s skin is pale and is always as cold as ice. She hardly has any color in her face other than the apples of her cheeks from time to time. Her lips and finger tips are almost always tinted blue, as though she’s frozen solid. This is what makes everyone wary of her, because of her icy appearance.
Olivia has an oval shaped face. Her nose is a bit on the larger scale, but it wouldn’t be considered a beak. She has strong, prominent cheek bones, which is part of her Swiss heritage. Her eyes are thin and long. They are framed by her dark eye lashes and often different colors of eyeshadow. Her irises are a bright, shining shade of and ice blue. When you stare into them, they almost make you feel as though you’ve become colder. Olivia often doesn’t show much expression in her face, however, that’s only because she doesn’t want to. When she wants to lighten up, she does.
Olivia has long, dark blonde hair. It’s very thin and wavy And reaches almost down to the small of her back. Her hair is darker and lighter in various places and depending on where you look in her hair the color could be considered blonde, light brown or strawberry blonde. This is simply from natural color variation and sun exposure. Olivia has long bangs that she often keeps tucked behind her slightly crooked ears.
Olivia tends to wear winter-like clothing because the atmosphere around her almost always is below freezing and sometimes her cold temperatures can even cause snow. However, it will only snow around her. To stay warm from herself, she usually wears coats and long pants and boots. She doesn’t need to wear these things, since she hardly ever feels as cold as she actually is, but she chooses to wear them anyway.

Personality:
"I try to push people away for their own safety. Well, I did. Once I actually let people know about the ability I can't control, I've been able to be more friendly. But I still try to keep everyone at arms length. Figuratively speaking, of course. I don't want to get too attached to anyone, because then I might accidentally get too near them, and that can't happen."
Olivia is rather cold, unemotional, and calloused. She doesn’t show much expression in anything, but that’s a conscious choice. She is independent. Ever since she was the one with the responsibility of taking care of her younger brother, she has never believed that she needed anyone else to help her. She’ll simply respond with “I can do it myself” or “I’ve got it handled” and wave away the offer of help dismissively. Olivia also never believes that she needs any friends, she’ll come up with excuses that she prefers to be alone or she doesn’t need anyone else, but those are all just covers. The truth is, any friend she makes leaves in an instant when they realize how dangerous and uncontrollable her abilities are. She keeps herself away from people to try and make sure she doesn’t hurt anyone.
Olivia, since she was made fun of for her “frosty” appearance, handles rudeness quiet well. She simply gives a dry, indifferent remark on the subject and walks away. However, on the inside, she is criticizing herself for her curse more than anyone else ever had.
Olivia, while she doesn’t seem it, is very caring and loyal. She does have a caring heart towards people, but because of her uncontrollable powers, she attempts to keep them away with biting, dry remarks, indifference, and simply an unfriendly nature.
Olivia is very dedicated. Everyday she trains and trains to try and master her abilities so she may one day return home to her brother, but her efforts, for the past three years, have failed.
Olivia always puts others first. She could go around and simply let others face the consequences of continued exposure to her, but she doesn’t. She takes the rude remarks people give, the rumors and the snickers to keep everyone safe from harm and safe from the painful death her step-mother had.

Fatal Flaw:
"We're not supposed to know our fatal flaws, otherwise they're not exactly fatal. Some people do, but I don't really know what mine is. I have my theories, but I can't be sure. "
Olivia’s fatal flaw is that she puts other before herself. She suffers so much for people that don’t even like her and doesn’t say a work about it. She simply tells herself ‘it’s for the best’ and ‘if they knew they’d understand’. She obsesses over keeping everyone safe from her so much that she sometimes forgets to care for herself.

Pets:
"Blanca is...umm... Spirited. She's kind of like that devil on your shoulder that keeps urging you to do things? She's not evil, just sort of sarcastic is all. But she's always there for me. She really is my best friend. Sometimes people look at my strangely when they see me talking to a fox, but they don't realize that we can communicate. Anyway, I don't know what I would do without her. She's the only creature that's immune to my ability. "
Blanca:

Olivia has a single companion that is immune to her icy curse. It’s a small, female, arctic fox that she fondly calls Blanca. Blanca was brought back by her father on one of his trips. She was a wounded, abandoned fox pup that Allan Frost took in and nursed back to health. He then brought the arctic fox back to be Olivia’s pet. Olivia found that she could communicate telepathically with Blanca and that the fox was immune to her powers, so that fox soon became her only true friend and loyal companion.

Talents:
"Heh, talents. I wouldn't exactly call my powers talents, more like curses. They just make life harder, and it's just tiring. I shouldn't have to worry about my abilities, I should be able to control them just like everyone else, but I can't. And no matter how hard I try, they're always stronger than I am."
• Hyperfreeze: This is her main “talent”, though she views it as a curse. When she has any sort of contact (any kind of physical contact) with any living thing for more than five seconds, a poisonous ice that dwells within the top layers of her skin seeps through and into the victim’s blood stream. It then begins to attack the vital organs and freezes the victim from the inside out. If the victim is exposed to extreme heat while the ice is active, the ice will melt and be flushed out of their system. That’s the only cure to stopping the poisonous, spreading ice. Because of this icy curse she does not have contact with any living thing.
• Atmospheric Difference: The atmosphere within a one meter radius of her, at all times, is like winter.. It’s often below 20º. Her presence often brings light layers of snow and ice, which is why she wears wintery clothes all the time.
• Ice and Snow Cnotrol: Olivia is able to control both ice and snow. She can morph the two elements into different shades and often uses them to make her weapons. The control of snow is minor at the moment, but she has almost mastered ice. She can not, however, simply form ice out of mid air. She can to have snow or water to create the ice, but because of the Atmospheric Difference that she causes, a lack of ice of snow is never a problem.

Weapons:
"I don't really have a set weapon. Since I'm not very muscular, I can't really lift a sword, throw a spear, or shoot an arrow. And don't even get me started on hammers. And my accuracy with daggers is kind of sad. So I make weapons out of ice. If there's moisture in the air, I can make ice."
Olivia does not have one specific weapon. She simply makes each of them out of ice. She also isn’t very strong, so most weapons are too heavy for her to handle, so she tends to simply rely on her control over ice to win battles that she’s in.

Year-Round or Summer:
Year-Round
Other:
Her color is skyblue. Not open for dibs.

From The Mind Of Angel. Tumblr_m615finybj1rv5ae5o1_r2_500

Name:
Penelope Yargin O'Neil
Age:
20 years of age
Birthday:
January 1
Gender:
Female
Years in Camp:
7 years.
God Parent:
Zeus
Mortal Parent:
Elizabeth Yargin. Penelope’s mother is the famous, Broadway actress. Penelope often goes to see her mother’s shows whenever they are showing in New York.
Although Elizabeth is well known for her performances, she and Penelope still often lived pay check to pay check. However, that’s the life of an actress and performer for you. Elizabeth is rather girly and also a bit pushy. She and Penelope often butt heads about subjects that can span from large issues, or small disagreements.
Physical Appearance:
Penelope stands at about 5’7” and has a curvy figure. She is not small and petite like some, and she is also not very built or muscular. She is of average weight for her height, of not slightly under. Her face is round with sweet chubby cheeks, dimples and freckles along her nose. Her hair is a naturally bright shade of red. It is often frizzy in the humidity and reaches to about her shoulders.
Penelope’s eyes are a stormy shade of blue. When she is angry or feels strongly about something, they flash like bolts of lightning. Her eyes are almond shaped, slightly squinty, and are framed by long eyelashes. Penelope tends to wear quite a bit of make-up, enjoying the intimidation it seems to bring.
Penelope is often wearing a goofy grin. Because of her quirky and light-hearted way of life. However, on rare occasions, she will lose her grin and arched eyebrow and will put on a serious face. Although, this only occurs in times when it is necessary.
Penelope is often rather critical of herself. She dislikes her red hair and openly makes cracks that usually are along the lines of saying that it looks like she was “dropped into a bucket of tomato juice”.
Personality:
Penelope is witty, sarcastic, smart, a rational thinker, and has quite a temper. She is known for her sarcastic cracks and witty jokes and is often the one to break awkwardness in most situations. Penelope is a rational thinker, she looks at the logical side of things and bases her conclusions on those facts. She is often unable to see the right side of opinions formed by those who did not think things through thoroughly. Because of her rational way of thinking, she is often unable to make a choice on a whim. However, this is not always the case. She often talks herself in or out of things in a quick moment, since her mind works quickly.
Penelope has had quite a past due to her temper. Because of her lineage and who her father is, she naturally has a fiery personality and a quick temper. However, she tries as hard as she can to control her emotions and succeeds most of the time. However, there are those few times where she is unable to control and she lashes out randomly, often injuring her victims. When this happens, she often goes into a sort of depression due to her past experiences with her temper.
History:
Penelope was born in New York in 1996 on New Years day. She and her mother lived in New York for most of her life. Penelope was a happy-go-lucky child and was rather outgoing towards everyone. Back then, she did not try to control her emotions. It was not uncommon for her temper to flare or for her to suddenly get extremely passionate about a certain subject. However, that all changed one day.
Penelope was unaware of who she really was. She simply assumed she was a normal six year old living with her mom and her mom’s new step-father. However, this step-father often verbally abused Penelope and was rather rude to her. However, he kept it hidden from Penelope’s mother. And Penelope didn’t want to say anything because she saw just how happy her mother was. That was until the day that Joe took it just a bit too far. He hit Penelope, leaving quick a bruise of her cheek. Penelope was enraged. And her Zeus inherited powers of lightning flared. Joe was struck by a bolt of bright, blue lightning and was instantly killed. The lightning, in turn, set the apartment they lived in on fire. Penelope felt horrible. From that moment on she vowed to control her temper.
Penelope came to camp when she was seven, after a very odd, traumatic experience during one of her mother’s shows. Penelope was attacked by a manticore and was almost killed. During that time, she met Xanthus, her faithful falcon companion. She was almost killed and during the attack she blacked out.
Penelope woke up days later in the camp’s infirmary, unaware of how exactly she got there or where she was. She has been there ever since.
After years of going through rough relationships with boys, Penelope met Wesley O’Neil, son of Euterpe and rockstar Stone. After a rather interesting meeting experience, scaring her hands on a piece of coral, and going out together, they fell in love.
Penelope found out she was pregnant with Welsey’s son. She had the baby, named Johnny, in a hospital in New York. After returning to camp, she and Wesley got engaged to be married.
Pets:
A falcon named Xanthus. He has brown and beige feathers and he shares the same stormy blue eye color that Penelope has. She and Xanthus have an emotional connection. He senses when she needs him and swoops down to assist her. Even though he has talons, he has learned how to keep them from entering Penelope’s flesh.
Weapons:
She has her electric sword. It is fused with electrical charges so it gives a powerful shock to anyone who feels its sting.
Penelope often uses lightning as her weapon, since it’s simple easier to use.
Penelope also carries around a worn out, black bag. It is bottomless and has the weight of a normal bag. She carries everything with her in there and often steps inside of it to retrieve something.
Talents:
Like most Zeus kids, she is able to control lightning. However, she also has the power of wind. She is able to control it as long as there is at least a breeze. She is still unable to take still air and control it, the wind has to be moving.
Others:
She greatly enjoys reading and always has a book with her, no matter what.

From The Mind Of Angel. Tumblr_lnbyizVUZC1qidy98o1_500
Character you're applying for:
Dionysus, or The dreaded Mr. D

Brief description of the character:
Physical appearance:
Short, plump and generally unattractive, Dionysus is a man that obviously doesn’t care about physical appearances. He stands at only 4’11” in height, a trait which is often passed on to his children. Dionysus is rather rotund. His stomach bulges and he has rather chubby cheeks. Dionysus’s limbs are stout and are not very muscular.
Dionysus has long, dark hair. It reaches a bit past his ears and appears to be a bit greasy most of the time. Dionysus has a rather scruffly beard that wraps around his face. Since he tends to stay unshaven, he has the beard most of the time.
Dionysus’s most attractive features are, without a doubt, his eyes. Purple and vibrant in color they appear as though they are two fresh glasses of wine. His big, round eyes are framed by his rather thin, dark lashes. Sitting about his eyes are his rather dark, bushy eyebrows, which are often furrowed out of irritation. Sitting between his eyes is his, surprisingly, small, round, button nose. Dionysus has thin, often wine stained lips that are either turned up in a smirk or more commonly down in a scowl.
Dionysus is often clad in fine robes. Usually made of silk or some kind of fur, Dionysus enjoys rather “fancy” clothing. Since he can not have wine, he might as well dress well. Dionysus wears a headband, woven out of grape vines, on his head at almost all times.
Personality:
Dionysus can often be described as bitter, like sour grapes. He has a rather bad attitude since Zeus is forcing him to be Camp Director, without the help of the wine he loves so dearly. Dionysus is harsh, sarcastic, and judgmental. Because of his bad attitude, he is often hated by most of the campers, including some of his own children.
Dionysus enjoys finding something that annoys a certain person and simply using it and using it to try and make them tick. A perfect example would be that he pretends to never get Percy Jackson’s name right.
Dionysus enjoys sarcastic comments. He’ll often snap back with some witty, rude remark. However, while he is able to give out sarcasm and rude behavior, he doesn’t tolerate it when others give it back to him. His temper will often flare up and when that happens his face begins to turn red, like a strawberry.
While Dionysus is rude and judgmental, he does have a soft spot for his children. He cares for all of them, but hardly ever shows it. Dionysus does not let this vulnerable side of himself show very often. However, he does have a special place in his, rather shriveled up, heart for his children.
Dionysus has a hard time expressing emotions other than anger and irritation. He tends to bottle those up, sealing them like a bottle of wine from the 1960s and putting them into the back of his mind, as though they never occurred in the first place. Dionysus doesn’t know how to deal with emotions like happiness and love. So he keeps that part of him away by wearing a facade of rudeness and cruelty. He’s rather misunderstood, like most of his children.

Sample Roleplay:
Dionysus sat in his office, leaning back in his chair with a sigh. He wore is usual decorative, silk robe along with his usual grape vine headband. He grumbled irritably to himself and his usual scowl was plastered across his rotund face. He reached for his glass of water. He dipped his finger into the cool liquid, watching as it turned purple in color. Just as Dionysus brought the glass of freshly made wine to his lips, thunder rumbled in the distance. Dionysus growled. “Fine! Fine! No wine!” he bellowed. Dionysus waved his hand above the glass and just as quickly as it came, the wine turned back into water. ‘Stupid no wine rule...what am I supposed to do? I’m the god of wine! What else do I have?!’ he thought, continuing to complain about his father’s idiotic forbiddance of wine. ‘What’s next? You gonna forbid the Apollo kids from playing music and healing?’ he thought, crossing his short arms defiantly. He looked like a three year old that wasn’t allowed to by candy from the store.
Dionysus snapped out of his own thoughts as a knock came at his door. “Yes, yes come in, come in. But don’t knock too hard on that door, it’s mahogany!” he said in a rather loud tone. As usual it was come random camper he didn’t know, nor care about.
“Mr. D?” the young camper asked.
Dionysus arched a bushy eyebrow. “Yes yes, what is it? Ask you question and be on your way..” he said.
“I was sent here to see when the next sing-a-long would be?”
“...Is that your question? Well alright, the next sing-a-long, as usual, will be on the first sunday of the month. Mark that on your calender because it’s always the same day,” he said, waggling his sausage-like finger at the camper.
‘Honestly...these campers..’ he thought, taking a sip of the water. He made a sour face. “Ugh...” he said in disgust. ‘Why can’t I have wine?!’ he thought, slamming the glass down on the table. Dionysus stuck his finger in the water and it, once again, turned into a crimson-purple liquid. Thunder rumbled once again and Dionysus scowled. “It’s grape juice!” he hollered.
“Might not want to be so testy with Zeus there, Dionysus..” said a voice the god of wine would recognize anywhere. Chiron.
“I’ve got it handled..” Dionysus said dismissively.
“We got a new camper today..” Chiron said. He was in his centaur form, rather than his disabled, wheel chair disguise.
Dionysus studied the centaur a moment before he shrugged his round shoulders. “Why should I care?” he asked.
“She looks like one of yours..” Chiron said. Chiron clip-clopped towards the tall, mahogany door, letting it swing open. There stood a girl. She was short, petite with a scowl on her face. She had platinum blonde hair with purple and crimson bangs. Like Dionysus, she had striking purple eyes.
Dionysus stood up abruptly. “Mary-Lu..” he said.
“My name is Bellinda!” the girl bellowed, clenching her tiny fists.
Chiron cleared his throat, turning to the girl. “I’ll...let you take care of this one, Dionysus..” he said before he trotted out of the room.
Bellinda watched the centaur go before she turned to the stout man. “Listen...I don’t know who you are, but I was told to come here. So I did. Now what is this place?!” she asked, stomping her foot.
Dionysus frowned, studying the girl a moment. Rather than snapping at her with a sarcastic comment, he sighed, shaking his head. “This is Camp Half-Blood...umm...you should go find Chiron. He’ll explain this..better..” he said, scratching his dark hair.
Bellinda rolled her eyes. “Whatever..” she muttered, walking out of the room to find the centaur.
Dionysus watched her go before he sat down in his chair again. “Oi...” he said, taking a drink of the grape juice. Dionysus had never been good around his children. Should he be kind? No...that’s favoritism.. But why should he care?
Dionysus rubbed his temples. “What I wouldn’t give for alcohol right now..” he muttered, glaring at the glass of grape juice.

Why do you deserve/want to roleplay this character?
I find Dionysus to be one of the most misunderstood characters in all of the canons. Yes, he’s rude, harsh and judgmental, but he has a soft side that he doesn’t particularly know how to deal with. Much like my main character, Bellinda (who I used in the sample roleplay.) Because I’ve roleplayed Bellinda for so long, I’ve learned how to develop someone like her. It’s a delicate balance to roleplay a character like this. You have to know when to have the nicer side of them show or the meaner side.
I believe, or hope I suppose, I understand the character of Dionysus well. He’s quite complex, much more than I had originally anticipated. He’s sarcastic, crude, harsh, mean...but has a soft spot for his children and a vulnerability that he finds difficult to show.
I think I’ve proven myself to be a generally good roleplayer and I hope that you’ll give me the opportunity to roleplay the dreaded, Mr. D.
Thank you,
Angel.

From The Mind Of Angel. Artemis

Character you're applying for:
ArtemisἌρτεμις, maiden goddess of the hunt, wilderness, animals, childbirth and plague.
Brief description of the character:
Physical Appearance: Artemis is short. She stands at about 5’4” in height, something his brother Apollo often teases her for, though she doesn’t care. She keeps the appearance of a young girl and tends to look as though she’s about 15-16 years of age, if not younger from time to time. Her frame is thin and petite, but muscular. From archery she has gained strong arm, upper body and leg muscles, since it takes your entire body to shoot a bow. Artemis has long arms and legs. Her hands are dainty and feminine and don’t look like they could wield a bow.
Her hair is long and reaches to her mid back, but she ties it up on a thick braid to keep it out of her way. Her hair appears to be brown, but in the light it is obviously tinted red. Her hair is naturally curly and wavy. It flips and curls into ringlets when she wears it down, though that hardly ever happens.
Artemis’s eyes are deep green in color, like the forest. Around her pupil is a deep shade of gold that fades to hazel. With the coming of the night, the flecks of silver and gray can be seen in her irises, like stars. Artemis’s skiin is lightly tanned from her time outdoors, though it’s hard to tell, since it’s often covered in dirt and grime. Her face is round with a pointed chin and high, defined cheek bones.
Artemis isn’t one to care about appearances. She doesn’t care that she has dirt on her face or cuts and bruises on her skin, since she isn’t out to impress anyone. Though when she does put work into her appearance, such has when she attends scheduled meetings at Olympus, she is quite beautiful.
Personality: Artemis is very closed off by nature, except to her huntresses. She keeps a stiff upper lip, doesn’t ask for help, and may be a bit too stubborn for her own good. Artemis doesn’t share her feelings easily, since she wants to stay strong, or appear to that is. She keeps her weaknesses and fears bottled up and lets them out by hunting or shooting her bow. Sadness and fear, to her, shows weakness. And she has to be strong for her huntresses. Even though they look at her with awe, Artemis often admires all of them for the work that they do. She has respect for every single one of them. While she may have a hard time conveying it, Artemis is very proud of her group.
Artemis is very stubborn. Once she puts her mind to a task or believes that something should be done, she is determined to see it through. Even if something is more than likely to fail, she has to keep pushing through. She's a very prideful goddess, though not obnoxiously so. She simply has pride in herself, her hunters, and females in general and she often neglects the males as a result. She already restricts men from her hunters group, but she can portray that males in general are "beneath her". Though she doesn't truly believe it, her pride in herself and those around her makes it seem like she has little to no faith in men. (though sometimes this is a little true.)
Artemis is very tactical and good at thinking on her feet. Her mind moves swiftly and easily flits from one thought, or move, to the next. Because she's a hunter, she has to think at least four steps ahead of her opponent, and she's very good at doing so. She can analyze movements as well as habits to help determine what the enemy is going to do next. It doesn't take her long to think things through, since her mind works so quickly. But sometimes, even though she has thought something through, she regrets her decision later.
She has difficulty dealing with regular emotions. She's blocked out emotions like love and pure happiness. They still exist to her, but not in the normal "female ways". Since she is a maiden goddess, she has sworn to remain that way and therefore does not ever think of men or gods in that kind of way. Instead she feels love and happiness for her hunters and for the wilderness, rather than for men. however, she has a difficult time comprehending others who are able to use these emotions.
The goddess has a difficult time trusting others to do things. She has faith in herself to complete a task, but she often loses faith in people very quickly. From time to time, even if she requests something from someone, she'll complete the same task herself just in case the other person decides not to finish it. She doesn't have trust issues, but she doesn't believe that people will always do what is asked of them, so she would rather be safe than sorry.
Artemis is a naturally gifted leader. Even among those with more power than her, she simply has such a strong will that she takes charge without meaning to. She was born to help, guide and lead those who need her assistance.
Overall, Artemis is stubborn, hard-headed, and prideful. But she is also kind and gentle towards her huntresses and animals, and she is trustworthy, even tempered, and kind. Even as a goddess, she has her flaws and weaknesses, but she accepts them and tries to use them to her advantage. Her stubborn, hard-headed, determined personality is what makes her a gifted hunter, and her patience doesn't hurt either. Her drive and need to finish tasks she's started helps her to succeed and try her hardest at any task, even if it's a daunting one. And her pride as well as her kind nature is what makes her such a gifted leader.
Sample Roleplay:
A small strand of curly, dark reddish-brown hair fell into Artemis's deep forest green eyes. She brushed it away from her furrowed brow and stared down at her papers in concentration, though mostly in mild irritation. These maps were just so confusing now-a-days. She had an older map. One that she'd used for ages, and it worked perfectly well. It was simple and lightly colored and showed the forests, rivers and mountains. But it was burned in an attack on their campsite. All of the huntresses got out safely, but Artemis lost her map. This new one was shiny and laminated. It had lists of roads and names of towns, cities and states. And it cluttered the natural aspects of the map, which is all ARtemis cared about.
Artemis was snapped out of her map-reading by a voice. "Lady Artemis, the girls sent me to see if you were ready to lead the hunt? We should head off soon. It's nearly dusk," the girl said. Artemis recognized her as one of her huntresses. Her name was Lydia. She was one of the younger girls among the group at the age of thirteen. Her hair was dark brown and curly and was always pulled back away from her face. She had large, round, dark brown eyes that looked like two pieces of coal. Artemis rose to her feet and poked her head out of the tent. "Hmm... Yes it is almost dusk," she murmured, realizing she'd lost more time than she realized trying to translate that blasted, modern map. The goddess glanced back at her desk and sighed, realizing she'd have to postpone her work for now. "Yes, I suppose we should be heading out," she said with a nod. Lydia smiled and nodded her head. "Would you like me to inform everyone?" she asked hopefully. Artemis smiled and patted the young girl's shoulder. "Yes, please do so." The girl scampered off happily, pleased that she had received a task from her leader.
Artemis draped her pack of arrows over her shoulder and grasped her bow in her hand. It was quite a large bow for someone so small, but it was easy for her to manage. It was curved and made of birch wood. Carvings and markings were etched in the surface in decorative patterns. The goddess brushed the same loose strand of hair from before behind her ear and gave a nod of her head. She started out of her tent, wanting to gather their dinner as soon as possible. Her huntresses were waiting for her in an organized group. One, whose name was Emily, smiled wryly. "Did you figure out that map, Lady Artemis?" she asked. The other girls chuckled and grinned, turning to their leader. Artemis stiffened, attempting not to crack a smile. "It's a very difficult map.." she retorted. The group burst into fits of laughter and Artemis joined in. She enjoyed these fun moments with her hunters. They were the kind she looked back on and smiled at. The kind that made her laugh silently to herself when her mind drifted to those past moments.
The laughing ceased after a few minutes and Artemis gave a nod of her head. "Come, we should begin," she said, raising her bow up a bit. She started into the forest and the girls followed close behind, automatically taking their ranks in an organized manner. The hunt had begun.
Why do you deserve/want to roleplay this character?
I believe that I've proven myself over my year on this site. I think that I have the capability to roleplay a goddess, since I already roleplay a god. I hope that you liked my application! :3

I N A C T I V E
There characters are no longer active.

Spoiler:

Name:
Andrew “Andy” Timothy Hayes
Gender:
Male
Age:
Seventeen years of age.
Birthday:
Born on January 21, 1994
Godly Parent:
Athena, goddess of Wisdom.
Mortal Parent:
Michael Thomas Hayes, the well-known scholar and professor at Yale University.
Michael Hayes is known for his discovery of the molecular element Hayenite. He is renowned in the scientific community for his studies and discoveries.
Years at Camp:
Four Years.
Andy was a summer-only camper for his first two years. But recently, because of events he doesn’t usually discuss, he has become a year-rounder.
Brief History:
Andy was born in a small town in Iowa. After living there for a brief period in his childhood, his father, after discovering the molecular element Hayenite, moved them to New York City. Andy used to be a simple boy. His father would teach him about science and different subjects while in his lab, located in their garage. Andy was happy, until his father became famous. At first, it was nothing...brief interviews, a few phone calls and that was it. However, after scientists learned of Hayenite’s use as a possible fuel source, and the fact that it was very abundant in states like Iowa, Idaho, and Mississippi, his father became more and more pulled into his work. Soon, Andy almost never saw his father.
Andy began acting up in school to try and gain his father’s attention. But nothing worked... After Andy learned of his heritage, he decided to leave for camp during the summer. He hoped that maybe, after his father noticed his absence, he would want to spend more time with him. However, that theory failed to hold water. Soon, Andy became a year-rounder, deciding that his father was no longer worth his energy.
[color:c3be=#6699ff}Physical Appearance:
Andy is an average looking teen. He has simple, brown hair, brown eyes, and no real special characteristics about him. He’s good looking, but blends in with the average person.
Andy has pale, untanned skin. He is out in the sun, but for some reason, still remains generally washed out. He doesn’t have a lot of color in his face, unless he gets very embarrassed. Then, his cheeks, the tip of his nose, and his ears become a deep shade of scarlet. Andy has generally clear skin, never finding he had a problem with acne. He does, however, have a mole on the side of his neck.
Andy isn’t very muscular, but isn’t scrawny or gangly either. His arms have a bit of muscle, but still remain generally thin. The only six pack he’ll ever have is a six-pack of Coke. Andy, once again, can be described as simply average.
Andy has deep, mousy brown hair. It’s naturally curly and wavy and swoops across his forehead. Despite his usual average appearance, Andy does have nice hair, according to girls at his old school.
Andy has a heart shaped face, almost non-existent cheek bones, a slightly larger nose, and a strong chin. Along with his slightly boring clothing choices (v-neck shirts, jeans and converse), Andy blends in with the normal, average Joe.
Personality:
Andy has had his many personalities, all of which he uses to try and gain his father’s attention and affections. However, which one is actually him? It’s very difficult to tell...
Andy has been a bad boy, he’s been a nerd, he’s been allusive, he’s been rude, he’s been it all. But which one is most like him? No one really knows.
Andy started out a kind, sweet, polite, and smart kid. Sure, he’d get into some trouble every now and then, but what kid didn’t? Andy had a natural talent for all things academic. He was very smart from the beginning, finding interest in science, math, literature, history...everything. However, after his father became famous, and to busy for Andy, he started to change. He found that being a trouble-maker get him noticed more than being smart. So he stopped doing his homework, started staying out late, started being defiant and started acting like an idiot, even though that’s not who he really his. Andy became sarcastic, a flirt, and completely changed who he was to try and gain his father’s attention. But none of it worked for him. However, despite his failure to get noticed, Andy continued to act like the “bad boy” of the school. He started dating every girl, became blunt, brutally honest with people, and stopped being respectful to his teachers. He started rumors that he did drugs and drank, even though he never went that far. Despite being noticed by his father, he gained other’s attention.
Andy kept this mask and different personality because he found that it kept him from getting hurt. He remained a “bad boy” of sorts, kept everyone at arms length, and never let his guard down to show his old self.
Fatal Flaw:
Andy’s fatal flaw is his fake personality. By keeping everyone at away and not letting one person see him for who he really is, he ruins all possible relationships before they even start. This will, one day, be his ultimate downfall.
Pets:
Andy has never been very good with animals, so he has no pets of any kind.
Weapons:
Andy uses a two foot celestial bronze sword. Nothing too special, since he isn’t a big fan of fighting. He keeps the sword as a black band, which he wears around his wrist at all times.
Talents:
Although he doesn’t know it, Andy is very smart. He has a natural talent for battle strategy, science, math, and literature, but he doesn’t ever use these talents. Because he is able to hide his smarts so well, his siblings have begun disliking him because he is so sarcastic and harsh. They believe him to be the idiot of their cabin and hardly any will admit they’re related to him in anyway.
Other:
Andy always has a book with him. Although he tries to hide his smarts, this is one thing he can’t resist. He keeps a paper back book rolled up in his back pocket for easy access during his times of boredom.

Name:
Theodore “Theo” Jonathan Myers
Gender:
Male
Age:
17 years of age
Birthday:
August 16, 1901
Godly Parent:
Astraeus, Titan of stars and planets, and the art of astrology
Claimed:
Yes
Years at Camp:
One year

Mortal Family:
Amélie Myré (Mother): Amélie Myré, or as she was later known after their move to the U.S., Amelia Myers, was a kind and gentle soul. She was a very smart woman and dreamed about the stars and the skies. She imagined what it was like out there and told people that there was life other places with creatures we hadn't even thought about yet. She said that humans would one day take to the skies and explore the universe. Being a woman and being that the year was around 1909 people did not take hers seriously. She was mocked and ridiculed, both in France and in America. When Theo was 13 Mrs. Myers died of pneumonia, which was a deadly disease back then due to the lack of common medicine.
When she died Theo was given to the only people that Amelia Myers trusted now, which were their neighbor migrant workers.
"My mother sparked my love of astrology and astronomy and the stars in general. She was an amazing mother and I wish that I had maybe discovered the Lotus Hotel sooner... if she had lived as long as I did she would have been cured of pneumonia with all of the modern things and cures they have today. She would have been alive and well with just a few weeks rest and some antibiotics. She made the right choice leaving me with the Williams family. She always made the right choices. She was thought of as strange back then for her thoughts and theories about the unknown of the universe, but it turns out she was just ahead of her time. Now I look at the things she predicted that have come true and I can't help but smile. I loved my mother very much, and sometimes I miss her terribly. But I know that she would not want me to do that, so I try not to."
The Williams (Adoptive Family): When Mrs. Myers passed away when Theo was 13 he was not given to a relative because there were none that either of them knew of, so instead their neighbors, the Williams family, took him in. They were a family of dark skinned migrant workers consisting of Mr. and Mrs. Williams and their two children, a boy and a girl who went by Anna and Harrison. Theo was mocked for not only living among the people that the Caucasians seemed to judge so much but he was then mocked for being a part of their family. However, Theo never understood why. One day he asked a particularly vocal boy at his school his reasoning behind such hatred and discrimination, but the boy gave nothing more than a vague answer. From that point on Theo decided that he liked the Williams and their friends more than the lighter skinned children and their mean parents. Despite this respect and admiration for the Williams and their willingness to take him in and care for him as their own son, Theo had not only started being mocked but he was now beaten when the teachers weren't looking. Theo loved being in the care of the Williams, but he couldn't stand the abuse he was getting from those around him. The more he stood up for them, the more he was injured.
"The Williams were a wonderful, supportive family. They were the nicest neighbors and treated me like one of their own sons, even though I was just another mouth that they had to feed. They were not a rich family and both of their children were too young to work for much pay. But they always kept everyone fed, even if sometimes that had to take from their own plates. That was a true family, not these ones that you see nowadays. They don't sacrifice such things, not really. But I guess times have changed, I just haven't. I'll always remember the Williams. Sometimes I wonder what became of them after I left that day. Did they look for me? I never gave them any notice or any knowledge of where I was. I hope I hadn't caused them too much trouble, I couldn't bare it if I did."

Brief History:
"My history is...long to say the least. I should be dead by now, considering that I am over 100 years old. ...We'll get into the details of that later. My history isn't much to tell. It was normal for someone back in that time I suppose. Well, maybe a little strange. But either way, my history is what shaped me. It shapes everyone I guess. "
Early Life: Theo was born to his mother who, at the time, was named Amélie Myré. He was born in Lacoste, France and was given the name Jean-Louis Jacque Myré. The two lived in France until young Jean-Louis, or Louis for short, turned nine. The small family, only consisting of the mother and her son, traveled to America to start a new life. However, or a single mother back in the early 1900's life was difficult. The first thing the family did to start fresh was "Americanizing" their names. Amélie Myré became Amelia Myers and Jean-Louis Jacque Myré became Theodore "Theo" Jonathan Myers.
Amelia Myers had always been mocked and made fun of for her wild imagination and love of astronomy and the stars. She told everyone that there was life outside of earth. That out there in the galaxy were other planets like ours that were orbiting their own sun and had creatures that they hadn't even begun to fathom. She said that one day we would be able to go to those places. She said that humans would be able to fly and explore the massive universe and all that it contained. People ridiculed her. She tried to enter into the science community, but being a woman and having ideas that were ahead of her time she was shut down brutally. This was the family's reasoning for moving to the United States. However, they were ridiculed for a whole new reason there.
With new names and a new start at life the Myers family moved to small town in North-Western Arizona, which was just recently recognized as a state at the time. The area was mostly farm land, but the two was split drastically by monetary standing as well as race. The Myers, being unaware of the social standing at the time, moved to the only place they could afford. This small, one-story, two bedroom house was not on the "rich Caucasian" side, but on the "Workers" side, as it was so eloquently put by those in the town. The Myers did not understand why their dark skinned neighbors were so badly treated, nor why they were frowned upon for associating with them. Many of the wealthier members of the community tried to talk to the Myers and explain to them that they were not following the usual social rules. Neither Amelia nor Theo would hear any of it and they were quickly shunned.
Teen Years: When Theo was thirteen Amelia Myers died of pneumonia. Pneumonia, at the time, was a deadly disease. Without modern medicine and antibiotics it, along with tuberculosis wiped out almost one third of the population in the early 1900's. Mrs. Myers was one of those people. Young teen Theo was now an orphan. He had no known relatives to live with and he wondered what would become of him. But that worry was quickly washed away by the gentle and accepting love of his neighbors The Williams family. The Williams were a friendly, kind group and they took Theo in without a second thought. Theo believed things would turn around for him. He now had a kind family that was their to support him through his mother's passing and the new school year was beginning. But things did not go as he had originally anticipated.
Theo was mocked and beaten for his new family. He was called horrible words by both children and adults. He was treated like trash and kicked around like an empty can. Theo never understood why everyone seemed to have such a problem with African Americans. They were nice to him and seemed like decent people. One day he asked one of his classmates, who was particularly vocal, about the prejudice against dark skin. He simply gave a vague angry answer with a lot of curse words. Theo, at that moment, decided that he would rather be with the Williams and made fun of than join in with the opinions of those around him. Theo began to be badly beaten, though. He would be kicked and punched by children when the teacher's back was turned and he would even be abused by adults while walking home from school. Theo began to fear for his life, but he never told the Williams of this issue for they would only worry. Not wanting to worry the Williams or cause them more trouble than he already had, Theo decided it was time to take a walk. He walked and walked until his feet felt like they were going to fall off. He walked all the way to what is now Los Angeles. It was only about 15 miles, considering he was at the border between Arizona and Nevada, but it seemed like a long walk. Theo looked around for somewhere to stay, and he found somewhere. It was a small little Inn called The Lotus. The people were friendly and kind and they seemed to make him want to stay there. So he did.
Later Life: Theo stayed in the Lotus Hotel, which evolved around him into a casino with flashing lights and loud music, for 107 years. He was frozen at age 15 for 107 years. However, on June 19, 2008 he was rescued with three other demigods that were also in the Lotus. He was rescued by an eclectic group of people, both monsters and half-bloods. They took him to a strange Headquarters. Theo was fed lies by the leader of Kronos' army. He was told that because his parent was a Titan he should take pride in his heritage and fight for his freedom. He was brainwashed into thinking that they were in the right and the gods were vicious, cruel, power-hungry rulers. Theo trained at the Headquarters for a little over a year and he believed that he was doing good. He believed that the demigods that came to their Headquarters deserved to be killed because they were helping the gods oppress the Titans. Theo took lives back then and he regrets in everyday. But the brainwashing did not change the fact that Theo felt something was suspicious. His worries were confirmed when Ryan, one of the other half-bloods that was rescued from the Lotus, was beaten to death. He made a mistake in his training and caused one fo the spears to snap in half. The instructor and high ranking official in the army snapped and beat Ryan until he was nothing but a crumpled, bloody corpse. Theo was changed after watching his friend get beaten. He knew that whatever the "good" was in this situation that this place certainly wasn't it.
Theo escaped, though he was injured in the process. He received a large gash on his back that runs from the back of his neck down to the small of his back, barely missing his spine and nerves. He now has a long, jagged scar from the attack. Theo also managed to badly bang up his wrist. Although the break has healed, he still has problems with the joint. Despite the gained injuries, Theo was able to successfully escape. He had heard a lot about a place in New York called Camp Half-Blood. It was the only place that he had an idea to go to. So Theo made his way to New York and to Camp.
Theo, despite the fact that he has been in modern times for a few years now, is an "old soul". He has old beliefs and old views on daily issues. He doesn't know how to work technology and is a very respectful, gentlemanly person because of the time period he was raised in. He has tried to adjust himself to act more "modern", but he has yet to succeed.

Physical Appearance:
"I have an average appearance, I believe. I'm not going to call myself ugly, because I have a decent facial structure, but I'm not going to call myself insanely handsome because...well...I'm not the most attractive person ever. I'm just...Theo. I have dark brown, almost black hair, dark blue eyes, tan skin. It's not uncommon to see someone that looks like me, I suppose. Therefore, following that logic, I am average. "
General build: Theo stands at about 6'2" in height. He is a tall individual and tends to tower over those around him. It is not very often that someone towers over him. Theo has a muscular build. These muscles were built up from his short time at both the Williams home, where he performed daunting tasks of manual labor, as well as at Kronos' Army base where he trained nonstop. Theo was born to be strong. He has broad shoulders, thick bones and strong features. If he had no muscle, he would look strange. Theo has long arms and legs and a short, stout torso. This makes him appear to be short when he is sitting down. His hands and feet are large, almost bear-like in size. He is just a giant. Because of this he does not walk silently. Theo tromps around with his large feet and lumbers about like a dinosaur. However, despite his giant-esque figure Theo has a surprisingly gentle, loving touch. Theo's broad, strong figure makes him difficult to be around in tight spaces. He takes up more room than he should and has a hard time trying to be quiet when moving around. Theo never accounts for his wingspan of either his outstretched arms or his elbows. Because of this he is constantly running into things or knocking things over. Theo has a long scar that runs down his back.
Facial Features: Theo has a square face with a strong jawline. He has lightly tanned skin and almost nonexistent cheek bones. Rather than his cheek bones being strong and pronounced, they are soft and give his cheeks a rounder appearance. His chin is strong and has a small cleft in the middle. He blushes easily and it is not uncommon for him to have a pink tint to his cheeks. Theo has a broad, slightly large and flat nose. It spans across the center of his face like an airplane runway and is his least favorite thing about his appearance. Theo is very self-conscious about his nose. Theo's ears are slightly oversized as well. However, Theo has a large cranium and therefore the ears are not as noticeable. Theo's lips are thin and pink and are often turned down in a frown. Theo's face is very readable and his emotions are projected across his face like an open book.
Theo has very emotional eyes. They are small and almond shaped framed by thin, dark lashes. His irises are a deep blue, almost indigo in color with gray surrounding his pupil. His eyes look like the blue of the night skies, people say. But he doesn't think so. His eyes are too light to be a dark sky, he tells them. Theo's eyes are also very expressive. His emotions play across them easily. While Theo doesn't share his issues much, he does not have an expressionless face. Theo has a lot of facial expressions, though most of them are very complex and hard to decipher into specific emotions. Above Theo's eyes are his thick, dark eyebrows that have a long sloping arch to them.
Theo's hair is dark brown, almost black. It is shortly cropped and does not ever closely reach his ears. He has slight side-burns and most of the back of his neck is covered in fine hairs. Theo isn't the kind fo guy that leaves without giving his hair attention. He styles nicely to sit in a swoop atop his head. His hair is slightly wavy, but is very manageable with a bit of gel and a brush.
Theo's clothing choice is simple. There's really not much else to say about it. He likes plain, unsaturated colors paired with jeans of slacks. He wears plain shoes that are nothing more than gray or black tennis shoes. Theo has a hard time not trying to look presentable and look like a modern teenage boy. He does, however, refuse to let his pants hang. They are always where they should be rather than hanging onto his buttocks.

Personality:
"I'm a private person. I don't really share my problems, my thoughts or anything with other people. That's why they're in my head, because they are private and meant to stay private. I don't really know what else there is to say. I'm honest I suppose. I don't really lie, unless it's to spare someone's feelings. I take my friendships very seriously, but the seriousness is not often reciprocated. Which is okay, one person always treasures another more I suppose."
Theo is a very complex individual. His past experiences have shaped and molded his personality to make him an almost completely different person than he originally was. Sometimes that person shows through, but only in the best times. Theo is a quiet, soft-spoken person. He is serious and brooding and often described as "mysterious" by the girls around camp. Theo keeps his thoughts, problems and feelings to himself.
Theo is untrusting. Having had his trust betrayed in the past Theo has a difficult time giving someone his trust. He does not easily had it away to people without them truly deserving it. And for someone to truly deserve Theo's trust they would have had to climb through his past pain, betrayal, and loss to reach the soft side of him that he keeps hidden. This task it not an easy one and is not something that many people try to accomplish. But if someone were to truly be trusted by Theo they would have someone there forever.
Theo is quiet and private with his issues. Theo has never been the kind of person that shares his problems easily, even back in the early 1900's Theo was a private person. He did not see the need to give his problems to other people when he was able to deal with them by himself just as easily. He has never been a big fan of accepting him from others. Theo is stubborn and does not wish for pity or help from anyone.
Theo does not share his personal experiences very often. He isn't the kind of person that tells someone about his past of tells his whole life story. Snippets and bits and pieces are not impossible to hear from Theo, but he doesn't really enjoy talking about his past. He says that it's in the past for a reason. Theo is the type of person to believe that everyone's past is what shapes them. However, he does not believe that others hearing about his past is going to help them at all. He's perfectly capable of giving advice without sharing details of his experiences. Theo is also afraid that people will judge him for once being a part of Kronos' army, even if he was just a recruit. Therefore he keeps that part of him a secret just like everything else.
Theo was very kind. He still is a kind person, but that "soft" side of him is hidden underneath layers of his tough, outer exterior. Theo, as a child, was kind to everyone. He was curious, inquisitive and interested in almost everything. He was also very naive. He always asked questions and was always there for people when they needed him. Theo was this person, but now that person is hidden. Theo is still very kind and gentle, but it is not his immediate personality. Instead he keeps this covered up so he doesn't get hurt.
Theo had a very gentle nature. He is not some big, strong manly man like other males. He is a gentle soul with a soft touch. He is physically strong, but there is a lack of strength in his personality. He is comforting and kind, gentle and caring, and a shoulder to cry on when you need it. This is another one of those qualities that Theo keeps hidden.
Theo is very protective of those he cares about. Once he considers you a friend, Theo will do anything to protect you, even sacrifice himself. Sometimes he helps people out a little too much. Once he considers you a friend Theo can become overly protective and treats you as if he is your father or an overly caring older brother.
Theo is a silently angry person. Theo doesn't yell or get very angry. He keeps his anger inside. He seethes and silently clenches his fists. However, he doesn't remain like this for a long time. After a while of holding in his anger it begins to boil up inside of him. His inward anger and frustration to grow and grow until he bursts. Theo lets out this anger he has been holding in in a fit of screaming, punching inanimate objects, and cursing at the top of his lungs. He never directs this anger towards anyone, but people have been around before when he explodes. It is triggered by "the last straw". Often this "straw" is something small and is not normally something that would upset Theo, but it just sends him over the edge in a fit of fury. Theo tries to keep these outbursts a private matter, as he does not wish to scare anyone.
Theo actually has a good sense of humor. He has a very dry, blunt sense of humor. He isn't goofy or a clown, but once in a while he'll say something very matter-of-factly and it turns out that it's funny. This humorous side of him he keeps to himself because then he starts to smile and when he smiles his kindness shows and when his kindness shows he gets hurt. And Theo does not like getting emotionally hurt.
Theo is also quite intelligent, though you wouldn't assume so by looking at him. He may not be book smart, but he catches on to a situation quickly and is very good at thinking logically. Theo, being a son of the Titan of the stars, has always been a big fan of astronomy and astrology, as his mother was. He wishes to become an astronomer and has a gift for science.
Theo, being raised in an older time period, has always been very polite and has "old views" on new subjects and problems. One of them is how he should treat a lady. Having had a mother who was disrespected for her gender, despite being one of the smartest people he ever met, Theo does not believe that either gender is better than the other. However, he does not believe in treating women like trash, as he has seen other men do. He is very respectful and is never the first to initiate any sort of intimate moment. He is polite and caring, even if he does remain silent through most conversations. These qualities are the reason that many girls he befriends develop feelings for him. Theo, however, does not believe in frivolous dating. He is a serious person and therefore saves his relationship-esque moments for a relationship that may last. He does not have "flings" and never intends to have them.

Fatal Flaw:
"Every hero has a fatal flaw, or so I'm told. Whether or not we're actually supposed to know our fatal flaws, I don't know. But at Kronos' base they informed us of what they were so that we could try to avoid it. I had a few, which is probably not a good thing."
Theo has two fatal flaws, as opposed to one. While these qualities are quiet good in retrospect, they are two things that may end up destroying him. Theo is far too protective of those he cares about. He would give anything to save them and keep them happy. He would give up another person's life or even his own to save someone he truly cares about. However, there are very few people that are able to receive this level of care and protection from Theo.
Theo is also a bit naive. That curious, questioning, innocent little boy is still a apart of Theo. He just accepts what people tell him as the truth and believes that everything will always turn out well. He still believes that good will reign and that no one is completely bad. This naive view on the world and on how good people can be is something that very few people have. But there is a reason for it. Even though Theo doesn't trust easily, deep down a part of him does.

Pets:
"I love animals, but I don't have any pets. I do, however, love to go to the stables and be around the horses. "
Theo does not own any pets.

Talents:
"My father isn't one of the most powerful Titans. He only has power over the stars, the study of stars and astrology. Because of that, I only really have one big power and then just a few smaller ones that I haven't completely mastered yet... But they're something I suppose."
• Future Sight: Theo, being the son of the god of astrology, has always had a gift for prophecies and seeing bits and pieces of the future. This unique power is one that is not gifted in many demi-titans and therefore his trainers at Kronos' camp honed in on it and worked on increasing the amounts he could see. At the present day, Theo is only able to see about 30 seconds of something that is going to happen. He doesn't know the people in his visions, he doesn't know the place or the time. He only knows what he sees.
• Reading the Stars: Theo is able to read the stars and the planets, like in your horescope. Theo, however, rather than being some crack-pot, general prediction tells the truth. If someone comes to him Theo is able to tell them what is going to happen to them during the specified amount of time. He can't give specifics, because the future is never set in stone, but he gives the most likely outcomes according to what he sees right then.

Weapons:
"I was never really a big fan of fighting and weapons. But they sure id love them back in the army. They really loved their weapons. They weren't opposed to technologically advanced weapons, either. I just sort of chose a weapon when I got here at Camp. It wasn't anything special. But I didn't want to keep the weapon I had... I had hurt too many people with it to ever look at it again. "
Theo doesn't have a fancy weapon. It's just a spear. It has a five foot wooden staff with a celestial bronze tip. The actual staff is carved in delicate, intricate patterns. All of the astrology signs are carved up the side of it.

From The Mind Of Angel. Elora

Name:
Elora Jane Themp
Gender:
Female
Age:
Sixteen years of age
Birthday:
October 13, 1994
Godly Parent:
Hades, God of the Underworld
Claimed:
Yes
Years at Camp:
Three years

Mortal Family:
Mother (Unknown): Elora does not know who her mother is. She was raised in an orphanage after being dropped off their as a baby. There was no record of her parents or family, but the kind house mother took her in. Mary was her name and she was a very sweet older woman. She had warm brown eyes and a caring smile and was always there for all the children. She was like a mother to all of them. When Elora started to go to school and she had to write something about her mother, she wrote about Mary. Even though Elora has never shown much affection towards Mary, or towards anyone really, Elora still sees Mary as a parental figure.
"I don't really have a real mom. Well, I suppose I did at one point cause, you know, biology and all, but now I don't. She dumped me on Mary's doorstep as an infant. It's not that big of a deal, I guess. Mary has always been there for me. But she's there for all of the kids in Saint Joseph's Orphanage. That's her job. She's the House Mother. But, I don't know, I guess I always thought she was especially nice to me. Maybe it was because no one wanted me."

Brief History:
"I've lived my entire life in an orphanage. There's not much else to it. I went to public school for a little while, but then Mary started homeschooling me because of some...conflicts with me and some of the kids at school. My life is pretty boring. Until I got to camp, I guess. Those parts were pretty interesting."
Elora was dropped off at the steps of Saint Joseph's Orphanage as an infant. She was raised there by the House Mother, who went by Mary. Mary was the only mother-like figure that Elora ever knew. And to her, she was her mother. Mary red her, clothed her, raised her. SHe did everything mothers were supposed to do. She grew up in the orphanage, among the other children she grew until she started having interviews.
Interview after interview she went through. None of the adults that were originally interested in adopting her were interested after they interviewed with her. They all said she was too much trouble. So Elora stayed in the old orphanage while her friends and the children she was with all got adopted away. She began to skip her interviews, since she believed that no one would ever want her.
Elora started to go to public school when she was six. For the first few grades, everything was fine. Kids weren't extremely friendly to her, but they didn't hate her. They just sort of let her be, which was fine with Elora. But when they all started getting older, around fourth grade, kids started getting meaner. They started to make fun of Elora. They called her weird and strange. Elora would get mad and snapp at them. She was sent to the principal's office for foul language, physical violence, and more within the next few months. Mary pulled her out of school and started to homeschool her, to prevent Elora from getting into more trouble.
When Elora was thirteen, a strange man came into the orphanage. He had black hair and dark, soulless eyes. But he seemed familiar to Elora. There was a shorter, furrier man with him. He had curly red hair and a thick beard. He looked terrified of the tall, dark man. "I would like to adopt this young girl" the strange man said. "My brother here will take her to my home." The red haired man nodded his hand. Mary was curious, but had the strange man fill out the forms. It was then that Elora was finally taken from the orphanage. She said her goodbyes to Mary and the other kids and was whisked away to a very strange place.
The strange, tall man disappeared almost as soon as the door to the orphanage closed. "Where'd he go?" Elora asked. She looked everywhere, but the man was no where to be seen. The red-haired man revealed himself to be a satyr and explained that Elora was the daughter of a greek god. She was shocked, but she sort of believed him. It explained things that remained unanswered for her.
A week later she arrived at Camp Half-Blood. She remained unclaimed for three weeks, but then something strange happened. During one dinner Elora and two girls she didn't know, but had seen in the Hermes cabin, went up to give their offerings to the gods. They each put their food in and a loud sound resinated through the Dining Hall. The image of a skull shone above her head in an eerie dark shadow. She looked over to the other two girls to see that one of them had a lightning bolt and the other had a trident. The three of them were all children of the Big Three, and they had just been claimed.
Over her three years at Camp, Elora has made only two friends. Those two friends were the same girls she was claimed with, Morgan, daughter of Zeus, and Madison, daughter of Poseidon. The three became close not long after their simultaneous claiming. Although the didn't become very close friends until the shock of their trio claim wore off at camp. For weeks and weeks, that's all Elora heard about from her fellow campers. It was like they were some prophecy that had been told hundreds of years ago. For those few weeks, Elora actually felt liked. But then that fame wore off and Morgan and Madison remained her only two friends. To this day, Elora remains a loner with two friends.

Physical Appearance:
"...What am I supposed to say for that? I'm normal looking. Curly dark red hair, I dye it this color, light colored eyes. I'm just normal. I don't know. "
Elora has a very scary, yet beautiful appearance. There is an aura of death that emanates from her. It's like death is oozing from her pores. This is what drives people away from her. Even normal humans can sense the death on her. It's like its a part of her. This is also what draws birds like crows and raven to her like a moth to a flame.
Elora stands at about 5'2" in height and is on the petite side of the female body spectrum. She has a thin, slightly gangly build with twiggy arms and legs. Being petite, Elora does not have a very feminine body. She has small, unnoticeable curves and has a build similar to that of a young boy. Despite having a small frame, she is very muscular. Because of her three years of training, Elora is a feisty girl in a small package. Her feet are small, a size 5 to be exact, but her hands and fingers are long and thin. It is said that she inherited her father's hands, because they look like long claws ready to grasp at death.
Elora has pale, untanned skin. Despite her best efforts to tan or darken her skin, she remains as pale as a ghost. She has a heart shaped face that leads into a pointed chin. Her jawline is soft and not very noticeable. It's slanted and is what creates the pointed shape of her chin. Her nose is round at the tip. It's average size and looks slightly larger compared to her other small features. Her lips are full and pink and are often, despite her dark personality, turned up in a smirk. Elora has strong, sharp cheek bones. Instead of having a pink tint to her skin, Elora's skin is pure and white. She's also normally blemish free, though that's because she washes her face religiously and is very good at covering up blemishes.
Elora's eyes are thin and long. They are very cat-like in shape and almost seem to say things like "I know something you don't know". Elora has an all-knowing glint in her eyes, even if she knows nothing of a situation. Elora's irises are silver in color. They glint in the darkness like the moon and almost glow at night. Her eyes are often surrounded by dark, black make-up. Even if she is just going to train, her eyes are lined with black eyeliner and her eyelids have gray eye-shadow. It's almost like the make-up is permanently on her face after her wearing it so heavily for so long. Her eyebrows are thin, dark and arched. They are a dark burgundy like her hair.
Elora's hair is long and curly. It is naturally brown in color, but she dyes it a dark burgundy, red sort of color. In the dark it appears to be almost black, especially in the underside of her hair. But when the sun hits it is when you see the burgundy-red tones and highlights. Her hair is naturally curly and wavy, and she doesn't do much to change it. Every now and again she'll attempt to straighten her hair. But it curls back up almost immediately.
Elora has a very simple clothing style. She likes a variation of darks and lights in plain colors and lack of patterns. She has multiple pairs of skinny jeans in blues, grays and blacks. The one thing Elora doesn't wear is shorts, skirts or dresses. Elora has a pair of gray converse that she wears with almost everything, but they're very worn down. However, she refuses to wear any other shoes until they completely fall apart.

Personality:
"I don't know, I guess I'm just me. I like sarcasm if that counts for anything. I'm not really all that loud, it's just easier if I don't talk. I get told that I'm weird a lot. "
Elora has a dark personality. She enjoys cruel humor and sarcasm and can often give the wrong impression to people about who she is. She's the kind of person that sits in the corner in silence and dwells in her own thoughts. People at school called her weird and strange for never talking, but she just wasn't ever an outspoken person.
Elora is actually very kind, it's just hard to see. She doesn't know how to show her kind, nurturing nature because of how misunderstood she's always been. She drives people away wit her aura of darkness and death and, before they can see how kind she is, they leave, they use harsh words, and they lash out at her like she's some monster. Elora, not knowing how to deal with the cruelty of a society that didn't understand her or want her, sort of adopted that personality that people gave her. Elora became closed off from the world and untrusting of society. She started to have anger issues and, when confronted by people, would lash out with harsh words and even violence. So the kind nature is hidden underneath the silent, angry exterior just waiting for someone to take the time to accept her.
Elora is rather untrusting. After being ridiculed and unwanted for her entire life, Elora developed an untrusting personality. She doesn't give her trust out easily and certainly never returns it if it has been betrayed. Elora may talk civilly to you, but she won't trust you with her secrets and her fragile self-esteem until she's certain you won't betray her.
Elora is very loyal once you earn her trust. It takes a long time to earn Elora's trust, but once someone has it she's loyal and always there when they need her. However, very few people ever see this loyal, understanding, reliable side of Elora because of how hard it is to break through her stony exterior.
Elora can have a very good sense of humor, though she never tries to be funny. Elora doesn't understand that some of the things she says are funny and when people laugh, she doesn't know why. Elora is very sarcastic and she often throws out snarky comments into conversations and, because people don't expect it from her, they laugh.
Elora is very caring and giving, she just doesn't let many people see it. She tries to help as many people as she can, even if she does it secretly. She's not ever openly kind to people, but she tries to help them as much as she can, she just doesn't tell people that she's kind. Elora is caring and empathetic, but she tries to keep that part of her silent because it's just too messy and complicated. Elora, despite being a girl, isn't into cheesy romantic stuff. In fact, she finds it annoying.

Fatal Flaw:
"Everybody has a fatal flaw. I've been told that anyway. But you're apparently not supposed to know what they are. That makes sense, I guess. Otherwise it wouldn't be, you know, fatal."
Elora's fatal flaw is her over sense of loyalty to those she trusts. While her trust is a good thing, in a sense, she's almost too loyal to her friends. She'll do anything for them once she calls them true friends, even give her own life.

Pets:
"I don't really have a specific pet. Except for the crows, they follow me everywhere, talk to me, so I guess you could consider them pets. But I just find them annoying."
Crows and Ravens:

Elora has a special ability that causes birds like crows and ravens to follow her around everywhere. They are able to talk to her, like fish talk to children of Poseidon. They call her the "Death Princess" or "The One Who Smells of Death", but she doesn't really like them following her. Whenever she is outside, there is at least one crow or raven sitting up in a tree, cawing away. No one ever notices, because crows are common birds and people think nothing of it. But Elora knows that they follow her. She can't get them out of her head.

Talents:
"My talents are all pretty normal for a Hades child. Death, shadows, that kind of stuff. I don't really use my abilities all that much, they're way too draining."
Death Aura: As mentioned above, Elora has an aura about her that, even to humans, reminds them of death. It's like death follows her around. Sometimes she's even believed that she causes death, because everyone that became too close to her died. However, that fear went away after she and Mary, her House Mother, became close. The aura does cause her to drive people away and attract scavenger animals that are attacked to death, like crows and ravens.
Shadow Travel: Elora, like most Hades children, is able to shadow travel. However she can only shadow travel at dusk and dawn, before the sun is in its highest position. Shadow Traveling also drains Elora's energy quite significantly.
Poison: Although this isn't a magical or "godly" power, Elora just has a natural talent for herbs and poisons. She dips her throwing daggers in poisons that she concocts.

Weapons:
"My weapon of choice are my throwing daggers. They're made of celestial bronze, but they're painted silver. They were a gift from the satyr that brought me to Camp three years ago. They each have a single word engraved on them. I have seven in all."
The seven daggers that Elora all have different levels of fatality. They all have different kinds of poisons melted into the metals of each dagger. Each of the seven daggers is named after one of the seven deadly sins. The worse the sin gets, the stronger the poison in the dagger. Elora, however, does not know that her daggers already have poison in the metals, so she dips them into poison that she concocts herself before going out into battle. She keeps them dry during training.

Ollie stomped up to his room, slamming the door closed. "Oliver! Oliver, you have to understand!" Ms. Thaxler called, knocking on the door. Ms. Thaxler was the woman who helped out with the orphanage. She was like a grandmother to the kids here.
Ollie threw his clothes into his bag. "Go away!" he yelled. Once again, he had been returned by his newest foster parents. "Oliver...why do you keep causing so much trouble?" Ms. Thaxler asked.
Ollie stopped in the middle of his packing. He walked over to the door and opened it. He stared up at the woman he had grown so used to. She was old, appearing to be in her late fifties. Her hair was black with strands of gray. She had laugh lines and various wrinkles across her face by age. Ollie glanced up at her. "I...I don't know why this stuff keeps happening. But I'm not causing it," Ollie said in a pleading voice. Ms Thaxler looked at Oliver with a sympathetic gaze. "Ollie...I'm very sorry for you bu-"
"I don't need your sympathy!" Oliver snapped. He had his bags packed with the few things he still owned. Ollie slung the bag over his shoulder and stepped towards the window.
"Oliver, what are you doing?" Ms. Thaxler asked in a slightly demanding voice.
Oliver stopped, keeping his back to the old woman. "Leaving.." he said rather bluntly. Without another word. Ollie pulled the window open and jumped out. Thankfully, his room was on the fire escape, so he simply climbed down. Ms. Thaxler stood at the window, demanding he come back inside. However, Oliver didn't listen. He just kept walking, not wanting another thing to do with that orphanage or the foster care system.

Name:
Oliver “Ollie” William Lawrenceson
Gender:
Male
Age:
15 years of age
Birthday:
October 17, 1995
Godly Parent:
Aether, god of the upper air and light
Mortal Parent:
Ophelia Lawrenceson
Years at Camp:
This is his first year at Camp Half-Blood
Brief History:
Ollie was born in New York City. His mother was a loving person. Flawed, but she tried her best. She worked constantly to try and keep her two children, Ollie and Marie, safe and healthy. Soon, desperate for money to keep her family well, Ophelia began doing illegal things. She became a drug dealer and smuggler, as well as the provider for other dealers, since she worked at a hospital as a nurse, pain killers were easy to come by. However, Ollie’s mother soon got involved with the wrong people. She began feeling bad, doing the illegal things she was doing. She attempted to stop, to cut herself and her buyers off. However, people who buy drugs don’t take rejection well.
They started threatening her. It wasn’t too bad at first. Menacing phone calls, threatening letters. Nothing too serious. However, soon people began to take things further. Her car windows were smashed, bricks were thrown into their house. And one day, someone took things a little too far. They took little Marie, Ollie’s younger sister, away from him and his mother. Ophelia was devastated. She soon fell into depression and locked herself away. Two months later, Ollie’s mother had killed herself, leaving Ollie alone.
Ollie began wandering the streets. He was young at that point, only being about seven years old. Ollie lived on the streets for five years. Every now and then, someone would take pity on him and invite him into their home or buy him dinner. It was a difficult life, but Ollie made the best of it. He was quite musically gifted, even as a young child. He’d perform for money, attempting to make enough to buy food for that day. However, one day, a police officer stopped him while he was performing.
“Did you know it’s illegal to solicit money in New York?” the officer had asked.
After questioning, the police learned that Ollie was an orphan with no home. Much to Ollie’s chagrin, they sent him into the foster care system. He was adopted a few times, but because of the growing threat of monsters, most believed him to be too much trouble. They “returned” him...as though he was a toaster from Wal•Mart.
Ollie escaped from the orphanage one day. He was tired of being rejected and decided that living on the streets was better. However, because he was 15 at this point, the threat of monsters had grown greater and greater.
Ollie was found by a group of demigods that were on a quest. They took him to Camp Half-Blood, where he found out he was a half-blood. He was claimed briefly after.
Physical Appearance:
Ollie stands at about 5’6” in height. He has a rather scrawny build, since having muscles is simply a dream for him. Ollie has thin, broad shoulders, gangly arms and legs and a long torso. He’s not extremely tall, but he does appear taller than he is because both his legs, arms, and torso is long. Ollie has big hands and big feet, which only look bigger because of his thin arms and legs.
Ollie has a long, round face. His nose is a bit larger, but doesn’t appear to be too big. He has lightly tanned skin from spending so much time outside, but still can be considered pale by today’s standards. Ollie has thin lips that are often turned up in a slight smile.
Ollie has deep, warm golden eyes, like the glow of the sun. It’s as if one gaze from them warms your entire body. Ollie’s eyes are thin and almond shaped. They are framed by thin, dark lashes. Above his eyes are his thick, dark brown eyebrows.
Ollie’s hair is short, dark brown, almost black. He hardly ever lets his hair gets long, since he finds it to be a hassle. He has bangs that brush across his forehead. However, none of his hair covered his eyes. His hair is very curly and wavy. It flips out in random places on his head, but he doesn’t care very much.
Ollie tends to wear simple clothing. Jeans and plaid t-shirts usually fill his wardrobe. The only unique thing about his clothing choice are his socks. He always wears interesting or “fun socks”. He’ll also often roll the very bottom of his pants up so that other’s can admire his socks.
Personality:
Ollie is calm, level headed, and kind. He tends to be rather soft spoken and can be considered shy and slightly awkward. He tends to get rather embarrassed around people. He gets very clumsy and ends up tripping over everything in sight, even simply his own two feet.
Ollie attempts to see the bright side of everything, which tends to make him a bit naive. He’ll see something bad and try and turn it into something good or helpful, this often makes others think he’s weird or strange. However, people simply refer to him as innocent or naive. Ollie, however, is far from it. He’s been through quite a bit, but simply chooses to look at the bright side. However, he doesn’t share his past with people. Whenever he does, they attempt to give him sympathy, but Ollie hates sympathy. That’s the one thing he gets mad at is when people feel bad for him.
Ollie is kind and had a light-hearted, goofy sense of humor. He enjoys sarcasm and puns, but not at other’s expense. He is simply a goofy, happy kid that chooses to be just as he is.
Ollie tends to bottle up his emotions and frustrations about his past. He simply goes deep into the forest or far away from other people to let his emotions out. He doesn’t like having people near when he lets loose and lets out his anger, he feels is makes him look weak. So, whenever he gets upset, he makes a goofy comment and puts on a facade of happiness until he is alone.
Fatal Flaw:
Ollie’s fatal flaw is his chosen innocence and naivety. He almost forces himself to look on the bright side of everything and try and pretend that evil and bad things don’t exist. This will, eventually, lead to his downfall. Whether it be metaphorical or literal downfall.
Pets:
Ollie doesn’t have a pet, however, he does love dogs. He’s always wanted a pet but could never afford to have one on his own.
Weapons:
Ollie has a simple, celestial bronze sword. It’s two feet long, double edged and nameless. Since he’s not much of a fighter, he doesn’t feel he needs a special weapon. However, if he needs to fight in battle, he does. Although, he’s not very good at it.
Talents:
Ollie does have minor light and air control abilities, however, he doesn’t know how to use them just yet. Ollie’s abilities are stronger during the day, but since he hasn’t really explored his powers yet, he had yet to learn the full extent of what he can do.
Other:
Ollie is a Year-Rounder. His initials spells “OWL”, which he hates. People often call him “Owl-boy”, “Owllie” or just plain “Owl”. However, he hates the fact that his initials spell “OWL”, so he refrains from telling people his full name as much as possible.

From The Mind Of Angel. N_i_c_k__by_DealingHeart

Al heaved a sigh of relief as the final bell of the day rang through the hallways. 'Thank Zeus...' he thought, obviously pleased it was Friday. Al gathered his books and his black bag, slinging the thin strap over his muscular shoulder. He turned to exit the room, but stopped when a woman walked in and started towards him. He recognized her from the hospital his mother was in. Instantly, Al began to panic.
Why is she here?? Oh what are you saying, why else would she be here?! She's not just here to chat!
Something must me wrong.
Al tried to swallow his fear, but it simply got stuck in hi throat like a rubber ball.
"You're from the hospital, right?" Al asked. Maybe she wasn't from there...maybe she just looked like one of the nurses.
"Yes, I'm from the hospital."
Damn.
"You might want to go there and visit your mother. Her condition..." her voice trailed off and she sighed.
"It'd be best if you came down as soon as possible," she finished. There was a somber tone in her voice that made Al's skin crawl. But slowly, he nodded his head.
The drive down to the hospital seemed to draw on forever. It was as if time was slowed for only him while everyone else whizzed by without a care in the world. And of course, he got stuck behind the slowest drivers in New York.
Al stepped into his mother's room and almost fell apart right then. She looked...small and fragile. As if the slightest gust of wind would send her crumbling to dust. Al took in a deep breath and made his way over to her side.
He was silent for a moment as she turned her head to face him.
"I got a C+ on my math test today...and Ibrought those chips you like. The ones from the vending machine downstairs. I wasn't sure if you were hungry or not, but I brought them anyw-" Al was cut off as his mother's bony, shaking hand wrapped around his. The two just sat in silence, staring at eachother. The only sound that filled the room was the beeping of the heart beat monitor.
Maria Daniels stared up at her son. No longer a baby boy...not her baby boy anymore...
Her head lolled to the side and the grip on Al's hand loosened. The steady beeping of the monitor was now simply a continuous beep. Al was stunned, shocked.
Nurses rushed into the room, pushing Al aside and attempting to revive his mother with the crash cart.
Al simply stood there, staring at the hand that Maria Daniels had been holding no less than a minute ago. A bitter realization fell over Al. His mother was dead.
Al clenched his fist, feeling the veins on his neck bulging out and the years streaming down his cheeks. Al threw his fist forward and created a large, gaping whole in the wall. Most of it was now crumbling apart as cracks started to spread out from the large whole in the pale wall. The nurses simply stood there, staring at him in disbelief. Al scowled at them and left the hospital without another word.

Name:
Alcander "Al" Daniels
Gender:
Male
Age:
16 years of age
Birthday:
April 2, 1995
Godly Parent:
Ares, god of war.
Mortal Parent:
Maria Daniels.
Years at Camp:
Second year
History:
Al was born and raised in New York city. His mother was single most of his life, only dating a few, insignificant men now and again.
Al always helped his mother when he could. He had a lot of respect for her, since she raised him and his older sister alone after their father left.
Al was a bit of a trouble maker at school. He didn't want to cause trouble, it just sort of followed him around. After being kicked out of school again, Maria decided to tell Al of his heritage.
Al chose to stay behind to help his mother keep their lives together. Al's sister, Jovanna, who he never mentions, was more of a rebel than he was. She went out, got pregnant at a young age, had tattoos, piercings out the wazoo, and at sixteen, dropped out of school and ran away from home.
When Al turned fifteen, he began attracting more and more monsters. His mother was almost killed by a manticore attack. After that, Al decided that his mother would be safer if he went to Camp Half-Blood.
Before he entered the border to camp, he was hit in the head with a black, elastic band. Turned out that that band would be his most trusted sword. To this day, he still doesn't know who gave him the sword.
While at camp, Al found something he didn't expect to find. He met a girl named Kat. He soon fell head over heels for her. He would have stayed at camp year round, if it hadn't been for his mother's sudden serious condition. She was in a terrible car crash and was sent to the hospital with a cracked skull, major concussion, torn lung, broken ribs, fractured pelvis, and shattered knee cap.
After a full school year of his mother in the hospital, she passed away. The damage to her body was far too great. Al fell into a depression, but decided to return to camp.
Physical Appearance:
Alcander is tall, muscular, and has a rather harsh looking appearance. He has dark hair, dark eyes, and is often wearing an emotionless expression on his face.
Al is tall, standing at about 5'11" in height. He's rather muscular, since he did have a year of training at camp. When he first arrived, he was considered scrawny. But now, he has some pretty noticeable muscle in his arms, chest and legs. Al has strong, broad shoulder, short arms and legs, and a lengthy torso.
Al has a strong, slanted jaw line. He doesn't have the manly-looking square jaw like most of his siblings. He inherited his mother's facial structure with his heart shaped face, strong brow, and slightly dainty nose. Now that he has gotten a bit older, Al has begun to grow some stubble on his chin.
Al has flippy, black hair. It goes a bit past his ears and his solid in color. There are some dark brown tints in bright sunlight, but not many. Al had bangs that swoop across the left side of his face. These cover his eyes sometimes, but he usually doesn't let them get long enough to do that.
Al had dark brown, almost black eyes. They are almond shaped ad placed slightly close to the brim of his nose. Framing his eyes are his thin, almost unnoticeable lashes. Al has strong eyebrows, they are rather thick and very dark in color. However, his bangs usually cover them, so they're not as noticeable.
Al tends to wear simple clothing. Darkly colored, cotton v-neck shirts with simple, plain wash jeans. Al doesn't wear a lot of accessories, and he doesn't have a very unique wardrobe. But he doesn't really mind. Al does, however, always wear a black elastic band around his wrist, which turns into his sword.
Personality:
At first, when one makes acquaintances with Al, you think he's sarcastic, rude and a bit mean. However, if you work hard enough to become friends with him, his nicer, more respectful, "goofier" side emerges.
When one first meets Al, they will most likely find him to be, in one word, rude. He becomes very sarcastic, snarky, and short tempered with people he's just met. It's as if he's trying to warn them to stay away. It's almost like he's trying to tell everyone that becoming close to him would be a bad idea.
However, despite this effort of his, people still try and get to know him. Once they do, they realize he's not as bad as his first impression made him seen. Al still stays sarcastic, but in a light hearted way. He becomes a very loyal friend, never abandoning those he's put his trust in.
Al has a very quick temper. Although he tries to control it around people he's friends with, it still breaks free sometimes. And every time his temper does flare out of control, Al always feels terrible afterwards.
Al tends to be quite the judge holder. It takes him a long time to forget things others have done to him. And until the event completely escapes his mind, which it hardly ever does, the people are not forgiven.
Although he doesn't act like he is, Al can be very smart. He's always had trouble in school. Learning new concepts and reading, due to his servers dyslexia and ADHD. However, Al still does have quite a bit of common sense. He is also gifted with an analytical, problem solving brain. This makes him a decent battle strategist.
Al was raised to have respect for women, due to the fact that he was raised by a woman. He may be ruse and sarcastic to people he first meets, but he doesn't let himself be as rude to a girl.
Fatal Flaw:
Al doesn't trust very easily. He also tends to push all of those that have grown close to him further and further away.
Pets:
None, Al isn't big on animals but he does kind of want a Pit Bull.
Weapons:
Alcander has a celestial bronze sword named Arsen. It's a simple sword, no special designs. Just a sword. When Arsen isn't being used in battle, it is an elastic band around Al's wrist. To simply change the sword from a bracelet to a weapon, you simply hold the bracelet like the hilt of a sword to go from band to weapon. And then stick your hand through the hilt to have the sword turn into a bracelet.
Alcander also has a simple, bronze shield. It's nothing special, simply a shield to help him in battle and defense.
Talents:
Alcander has a great talent for sword fighting. He isn't a master, but he's improved from when he first arrived at camp.
Alcander doesn't really have any magical abilities. He can sense the power of a weapon, but it's nothing special.
Other:
Alcander has a secret. He can ballroom dance. As a child, his mother told him that one day he was going to ask a girl to dance, and she would be blown away by his dancing skills.
