--The Start of a Family--(Greek){Years Later}

Kat was taking extra thoughts on this. Trust wasn't a very big thing with Kat but if they hadn't been attacked for this long... "Why would we be attacked now?" she hadn't noticed she said the last part outloud until she looked up at Seth. She ran her hands through her hair. "I mean, um," she stammered not coming up with somthing to say.

Seth's eye were filled with worry and panic for Connor. At this moment, Seth didn't even care about Isabella. Seth wanted to run back to the apartment and scoop Connor in his arms. Seth took a deep breath. "In sure they're fine. Just pray to the gods that nothing happens," Seth told Kat. He grabbed Kat's hand, squeezing it lightly.

Kat nodded partially. "Nothing will happen," Kat agreed. She squeezed Seth's hand once again with a sigh. "Let's get going," she pulled Seth along to keep going. They were causing some traffic with angry New Yorkers. "Aren't we already late as it is?" Kat teased with a small smirk and all her worries faded slightly.

Seth smiled a bit. "Yup, we're already late. C'mon, they might give away our table," Seth said, smiling a bit. With his hand, Seth guided kat to the resturant. Seth stopped when they had finally reached it. All of Seth's worries about Connor and Izzy were gone. All Seth cared about now was kat. Opening the door for Kat, Seth smiled. "Here you go," Seth said.

Kat rolled her eyes. "You're such a gentleman." she said actually ableto hold back the laughter. Kat walked right into the resturrant and waited for Seth to follow in after her. "A little fancy don't you think?" she raised her eyebrows. Kat loved it when Seth went all out for them to have dinner. It made her feel, just right.

Time skip?

Seth gave Kat a grin and went over to her. "Why yes I did," Seth said grinning a bit. Seth saw a waiter and motioned for him. The waiter somewhat looked annoyed, but led them to their table. Seth grinned again. "Guess these people don't really like me," Seth said in a whisper. Seth couldnt help but laugh a bit.

•Few hours later•

Seth laughed as heled Kat put of resturant. "That was somewhat fun," Seth told Kat, remembering when the waiter had spilled their meal all over and Seth laughed like crazy, earning a punch fromthe waiter.

Kat laughed along with Seth. "Yeah," she said. "They really do not like you. Maybe we should stick to crappy diners and fast food resturrants for just a but longer." Kat was in the mood for wine at the moment. For some reason the resturrant didn't want to give them any. [/i]'hmm, I wonder why,'[/i] Kat thought with a smirk.

Seth laughed along with Kat. "It's not my fault that the waiters don't like me," Seth said with a grin. Seth gently grabbed Kat's hand gently and laced his fingers with hers. Seth thought for a moment. Quickly, Seth took out his cell phone too see if he had any messages from Isabella. None. Seth slipped his phone back in his pocket. "We should get home. I'm kinda getting a bit worried about Connor," Seth told Kat, worry in his green eyes.

Kat sighed. "They're probably fine," she said with causion. "Izzy is not what you call the weakest of the Athenaians." Kat smiled at herself for her nickname she just gave the children of Athena. "Let's not worry too much," Though, Kat was worrying a bit.

Seth nodded, but couldn't help worry a bit. Seth led Kat back to the apartment New York City was still awake even though it was close to midnight. Seth started to fiddle with his ring. "What's on the agenda for tomorrow?" Seth asked Kat, smiling a bit.

Kat shrugged. "It's Saturday." she said. "I think im going to finally teach Connor that Saturday is the day to sleep in." she nodded at her quick thought with a smile. "Yep. That's the only thing on my to-do list." she took Seth's hand in hers.

Seth rolled his eyes at Kat. "I'm sure that Connor will learn that very quickly. If anything, I should teach him that," Seth said. Seth thought about their fight earlier and winced slightly. "I'll let you sleep in tonight. I'll wake up when Connor does," Seth told Kat quietly. If anything, Kat deserved to sleep in.

Kat shrugged, then she smiled. "He rarely wakes up at night anymore you know." she said lightly. "When he does, i just like get up out of habit." she smiled. "Sometimes I get up when he doesn't, just from habit of waking up at night." Kat shrugged again. "Nevermind that now though. Let's get inside and relieve Izzy of her duties. I wanna see my boy." she nudged Seth with her shoulder.

Seth smiled a bit. "Yeah I miss Connor too," Seth said. Connor was a cute baby. Before Seth knew it, both of them were standing infront of their apartment. Seth smiled at Kat. "Looks like we're home. Hopefully Izzy did fine," Seth muttered under his breath, opening the door with the key. Seth opened the foot and found Izzy lounging on the couch watching TV. Connor seemed to be nowhere. "Where's Connor?" Seth asked Izzy, starting to get worried. Isabella rolled her eyes. "Well hi to you to. Connor is already alseep," Isabella said, getting up from the couch an slipping on her jacket.

Kat rolled her eyes and gave a wave to Izzy. She walked over to her. "How'd you do?" Kat asked Izzy plainly and with a smile curling across her lips. "I'd take it the it went pretty well being that the apartment is still intact." Kat shrugged and hugged Izzy. "Thanks a lot." she said.

Isabella smiled at Kat. "Connor was fine. I fed him, played with him, and pit him to sleep a little while ago. Connor was pretty good though. He is such a cute baby," Isabella told Kat, laughing a bit. Isabella saw Seth roll his eyes. Isabella grinned. "Alright I'll go, so you guys can have some alone time," Isabella said, winking as she closed the door behind her. Isabella stuffed her hands in her coat pockets as she walked outside. Even I it was March, it was a bit cold. Isabella ha only walked one block when she heard a low growl. Isabella froze. Holy crap.

Kat waited until Izzy left to go into Connor's room to check on him. He was sleeping soundly. Kat watched him for a moment then softly crept out of his room. "He seems perfectly fine." Kat said to Seth. "Izzy was nice to do that for us." it was nice to get out of the house every once and a while. Being alone with Seth was something she loved to do. Starting a family at a young age seemed almost crazy but when you're a demigod, you never know when the worst will happen.

*Connor should be able to have glimpses of the future, like slight de-ja-vu moments and weird feelings! Just a quick idea. Maybe elaborate more when he's older.... xD*

Seth grinned and walked over to Kat. He wrapped his arms around her. "Yeah, it was nice for her to do that," Seth whispered to Kat as he started to kiss her neck. But then, Connor started crying, crying so hard it seemed like he was hurt. Seth rushed to Connor's room to find him crying and screaming his head off. Seth picked up Connor. "What's wrong?" Seth asked Connor, rocking him back and forth. Then, Connor stopped crying as a blood curling scream could be heard. Seth jumped as he heard the scream, almost dropping Connor. "What was that?" Seth asked Kat worried. Sadly, Seth knew that scream. It was Isabella's. Seth turned deathly pale.

Kay ran into Connor's room as soon as Seth did. He was crying so suddenly and fiercely. Kat caught her breath as a scream came from the streets outside. Her eyes made contact with Seth's as the scream halted and Connor's cries ceased to sniffles. "Izzy," Kat let the name roll of her tongue easily with a single breath, almost in a whisper. Kate's heart started to race and her mind went blank for a second. Kat rushed to the window and opened it quickly stepping out into the fire escape. She tried to get a good look of things but wherever the scream came from it wasn't in the side ally. Car alarms were going off down the road and just around the corner. Loud growling came from that direction also. "Seth." she said in a warningful tone back through the window.

*Exactly! My thought was, he could have seen Izzy's attack a split second before it happened. That's how the idea came to me!*

Seth rushed over to Kat and put Connor in Kat's arms. "Stay in the apartment," Seth told Kat, handing her his old bow and arrow. Seth kissed both Connor's and Kat's head before rushing quickly out of the apartment, his good old dagger in his hands. Seth ran outside the apartment, trying to figure where Izzy was. There was another low growl near the corner and Seth ran towards it. Seth turned the corner and the growling got louder. Another loud scream can from an ally way. Seth broke into a sprit and stopped in front of the ally. Seth paled at the sight. There was a giant hellhound holding down Izzy by it's giant paw. Izzy was banging on it with the cover of a trashcan, blood trickling from her head. Her arm was bent at a funny angle. Seth's green eyes flashed with anger. No one touches his best friend. Charging forward, Seth lashed at the giant hellhound, only to be thrown into the wall bolt it's head. Seth breathed heavily; he was so outta practice. The hellhound focused it's attention on Seth now, completely forgetting about the passed out Isabella. Gritting his teeth, Seth lunged at the monster and stabbed it in it's chest.

Kat held her breath as Seth kissed her forehead and she didn't let that breath out for a while. She clutched Connor close to her body in one hand and shouldered Seth's old quiver and held his bow in the other. Why he left it with Kat, she didn't know. She was a lowsy shot anyway.
Kat's thoughts were wavering though. Seth had gone and hadn't come back. She had watched him down the road for as long as she could from the fire escape but no longer knew where he was. Connor was crying and Kat was falling. She had been standing on the fire escape when she had forgotten to breath and stumbled down the escape. Free falling and grabbing at the hard bars she held Connor close to her. She cursed as she grabbed the last rung on the last latter. It unhooked and fell it's last five feet. Her arm felt as if it had been ripped right out. Kat swiftly landed on the ground falling that last two feet. "So much for staying in the apartment." she glanced at Connor and kissed him on the head. She knelt down and balenced Connor in her leg a moment to notch an arrow in the bow. She prayed to her father, Apollo and Artemis for a single time to let the arrow be guided when it would be shot, because somehow she knew it somehow would.
Kat held the bow in her right hand as held Connor in her left as she slowly walked towards where Seth ran.

Seth rolled away as the hellhound shook off Seth's stab. Well, monsters have gotten stronger. Seth gritted his teeth and lunged again only to get pinned to the ground by the hellhound. With his hands, Seth pushed the head away as it tried to bite Seth. Sweat was beaded in Seth's forehead and blood was trickling from his arm. But, Seth suddenly heard a small laugh and a cute "Doggie!" Seth's heart stopped. No, no, no. Seth turned and saw Kat holding Connor, an arrow in the bow. "What are you doing!" Seth yelled. Did he not tell her to stay in the apartment? The hellhound barked and bit down on Seth's shoulder while Seth was distracted. Seth cried out in pain, his hand clicking his shoulder. The hellhound turned to Kat and Connor. Connor laughed and clapped his hands, yelling doggie again. Seth for ip quickly and wrestled the dog to the ground weaponless. No way in Hades was this going to touch the two people he loved more than anything. The hellhound snapped and bit on Seth's shoulder again

Tears stung Kat's eyes as she saw Izzy laying on the ground so fragile and lifeless and Seth fending off a hellhound by himself. Kat shook her head. "I'm saving your ass!" she yelled in a mangled cry. Her voice cracked half way through her sentence. The hellhound bit Seth's shoulder and chomped down hard. Kat shut her eyes and prayed to the archer gods and anyone else to guide her arrow. She knelt down again keeping Connor between her arms and pulle back the arrow in the bow. "Please, please, please," she murmured and let the arrow fly on her last word. It pierced the hellhound in the temple. It fell to the ground and exploded into dust with one last whimper.

Seth gasped as the hellhound turned to dust on top of him. Seth closed his eyes and clutched his shoulder that was bleeding a lot. Seth put pressure but it only seemed to make it worse. Seth stood up shakily, walking over to Connor and Kat. "Doggie?" Connor asked, waving his hands. Seth smiled weakly. "So much for a date night," Seth said in a weak voice. His knees buckled and Seth fell to his knees, getting weak. No, he had to stay strong. Seth stood up again and wearily walked over to Izzy. Her face was pale and blood covered her face a bit. Seth kneeled next to her and checked her pulse. It was barley there. Panic crossed Seth's face. No, he couldn't loose his best friend. Quickly, Seth picked up Izzy, grunting. "Wht do we do?" Seth asked franctially. His brain felt like mush and Seth couldn't think right.

Kat slung the bow aver her shoulder and across her body with a sigh. She walked over to where Seth stood with Izzy hesitantly. "I-I don't know, Seth. You're the doctor here," she pointed out. Could they go to the hospital? It was a risky thought. What were they supposed to say? We're demigods and we just got attacked by a large dog. Yeah I brought the kid to this battle because I'm me! My friend here got beaten to a pulp and my husband almost lost his arm. Crazy huh?
Wasn't happening...

....Unless they came up with another explanation.

But Kat was letting Seth call the shots.
