--The Start of a Family--(Greek){Years Later}

Kat shook her head. "No," she said. It always smelled like Seth, she loved that. It was warm and comforting, just to have a piece of him made her feel amazing. "I'm sorry," Kat said and closed her eyes. She let Connor fiddle with her hands, turning them over probably musing over how big they were. Kat started to play around stupidly with Connor making him laugh and forcing Kat to smile.

Seth gave Kat a sloppy grin. Connor laughed and babbled as he played with Kat's hands. Seth smiled; Connor always seemed to make everything better. Seth leanded his head back up against the wall and clossed his eyes. Connor pounded his fist against Seth's wet shirt. Seth laughed along wuth Connor. "Yeah I know Connor, my shirt is wet," Seth said. Connor laughed and started to play with Kat's hair again. Seth rolled his eyes. Without thinking, Seth took off his shirt. "Ew," Seth muttered. His shirt wassoaking wet. Seth wrinkled his nose.

Kat rolled her eyes. "Put a shirt on, gods, Seth." Connor contined to pound his fist against Seth's chest. Kat smiled. "That's my boy," she said as Connor laughed again. "And it's not gross it's just rain. Don't be a baby." Kat started to stand. "I can't sit like this anymore, it hurts too much." She picked Connor up as she stood and offered Seth her hand. "C'mon." she said smiling lightly.

Kat narrowed her eyes at Seth. "Yeah just like you. He wont shut up." Kat leaned up and kissed Seth on the lips only pulling away when there was a knock on the door. "Crap! What day is it? I look horrible. Answer the door and put a shirt on." Kat handed Connor to Seth. "Be right back." Kat wasn't thinking. She forgot all about their plans.

Kat narrowed her eyes as Seth ran into the bedroom while Kat was pulling her pants on. "Why didn't you remind me it was Friday?" she hissed. She pulled a dress shirt out of the closet and put it on. She pulled on boots and grabbed a jacket from the closet. She ran a brush through her hair then left the room. "Hurry up," she said to Seth before leaving. She went out into the other room. "Izzy!" she exclaimed and threw her arms arpund her.

Kat smiled. "Bye! Thanks Iz! His food is in the fridge. He goes to sleep around 7 and wakes up around nine. He should be fed two more times. We'll be back before--" she stopped because the door closed behind them. "Are we late or something?" Kat asked with a smile. She couldn't believe they were still doing this. Kat would have been just fine with staying at home curled up on the couch, but Seth seemed eager for something.

A smile spread across Kat's face. "I love you," she told him. They stood there a moment gazing at each other. Kat broke the moment by pulling Seth along down to the main floor of the apartment building. Yeah, they didn't even leave yet. "Let's go," Kat said flipping her hair over her shoulder. she wasn't very happy with it being that fact she only had two minutes to get ready.

Seth laughed and nodded. "Yeah c'mon. These reservations were really hard to get," Seth said, grinning a bit, feeling smug. He grabbed Kat's hand and pulled her along running through the streets of New York City, laughing the whole entire time. Seth felt like he was 15 again and didn't have to worry about anything. Didn't have to worry about Connor, work, or bills. Seth just felt free. Smiling, Seth felt like he was going back in time. He felt like he was repeating the hot summer days at camp, where the starwberries baked in the sun. Seth half ecpexted Chiron to come out and chide them both. Seth hontestly missed Chrion a bit. maybe one day, one day, Seth would take Connor to the place where Seth had grown up. Where Seth had fallen in love with Kat. But, the honking and crussing of New York snapped seth out of his thoughts. Seth frowned a bit at this.

Kat laughed as Seth pulled her through the streets. She would have normally just ran with him feeling free to make fun of him for being slow but she just held his hand and let him pull her along. Running always seemed to solve Kat's problems, all on its own. Maybe not always in a good way but sometimes it makes things right. Memories poured back into her mind as she pulled Seth to a soft walk. "C'mon. No need to rush things," Which was ironic because Kat's life has always been rushed. For a demigod tjings are risky. You'll never know when the Fates decide to cut your string.

Seth just shrugged and slowed into a slow pace, smiling. He wrapped his free arm around Kat's waiist, keeping her close to him. "Heard anything for Eli and Sam?" Seth asked Kat. Seth hadn't talked to Eli in a long time. Or Aiden really. Thaty was starting to bother Seth. Camp had always brought Seth close to Eli and Aiden. Without, it's like they never met. Seth wrinkled his nose. "We should something with Eli. I haven't talked to him for real in a long time," Seth told Kat.

Kat frowned. "The last time we saw them was...last month I think." Kat leaned her head against Seth's shoulder as they walked. A thought occured to her. "Seth, if anything happened to them I'm sure us or Izzy would be some of the first to know." We are all they have left, too, she wanted to add but she didn't. Kat almost felt guilty that she actually...survived...longer then most other demigods. It was almost heartbreaking. Then, Out of the blue, a random thought popped up. "Can we get a dog?" she asked feeling like a little kid.

Seth frowned, but then nodded a bit. Then, Seth heard Kat's comment. He raised an eyebrow at Kat. "You want a dog. Why? We have Connor which is like a dog, except he talks and is my son," Seth told Kat. Why would Kat wanna dog. "I mean, I guess so. But, Connor is still young. If we get a dog, we would have to take care of a dog and Kat. It's like having two kids," Seth said, frowning abit. Seth wasn't sure if kat could handle that much. Taking care of Connor was hard enough.

Kat rolled her eyes. "Pa-lease, Seth," she waved her hamd over her head. "I had a dog from age 11 to 18 and you know how good of a dog Asia was." Kat made a puppy dog face. "It's not hard!" she exclaimed. No dog could ever replace Asia but not having a dog has been so weird for the past three years. It was like there was somthing missing. Seth knew how much Kat loved Asia, he would probably give in because he was Seth! And Kat just had that kind of power.

Seth rolled his eyes at Kat. "Fine, we'll get a dog. As long as I get to pick out it's name," Seth said grinning a bit. "Are you sure though?" Seth asked Kat, raising an eyebrow. Seth had a dog when he was younger, but the dog died long ago. Seth couldn't even remember his own dog's name. Ouch. "What kind of dog?" Seth asked Kat. He wanted a Labador Retriever after his old dog.

"Seth, I'm positive!" Kat nudged his shoulder. "I swear to the gods I'm seeious and it would be great for Connor too. He would love a dog. I don't care what kind it is, it could be a whimpy little poodle I just think we need a dog. You know what they say, a dog conplete's the perfect family." Kat smiled innocently. She had no idea what they say and they're family was never going to be a normal, "perfect" all american family. Well, the all-american part yeah.

Seth rolled his eyes once more. "Fine, fine. We can get a dog. Since I'll probably agree to this anyway, we can get any dog," Seth told Kat, smiling a bit. A dog. That would be intresting. If any monsters attacked, the dog would protect Connor. Suddenly, Seth frowned. "We haven't been attacked by monsters in a long time," Seth said to Kat, in a low voice.

Seth's hand twintched a bit. Izzy and Connor were alone. Seth did trust Isabella. She was his best friend. Isabella did have good training and have a weapon. They would be fine. As long as Isabella didn't forget her weapon. Or a million monsters came, then Izzy was dead for sure. "As much as I trust Isabella, I think we should go back," Seth told Kat, getting really paranoid.
