"Haven't you already eaten two burgers already?" Chris asked as his large friend sat down with another patty. The two of them, plus Solania were seated at a picnic table. Chris himself already ate, and was drinking a can of soda.
Magnus shrugged. "I gotta eat if I am to build up guns such as these." He flexed his thick, muscular arm, before taking a bite.

We got to the barbecue andi got a pizza and filled my cup up with mountain-due. I sat down on a bench by Blake and Thelia. I asked if Thelia had been clamed yet and took a big bit of pizza.

I giggled at Magnus. He was funny. "Yeah. A guy has to eat." I was munching on some french fries. Chris wasn't eating but Magnus was eating like there was no tomorrow.

I was crouched down beside Blake and Ethan. I didn't want Solania and Chris to see me. "No. I haven't."

I could tell that thelia had snuck away from Cris sinceshe was crowching. How hard is that, I have never snuck away from Cris in my 4years at camp. I leaned over and wispered in thelia's ear,"Who do you like more Blake or me." I new that she would say me.

Ethan whispered in my ear and asked who I like more: him or Blake. I sat straight up with surprise. Oh no. I stood up and looked at them both. How could I tell them I didn't like them like that? I mean I liked them. But not like that. "See? I kinda have a boyfriend, Ethan. I like yall. I didn't mean to give you the wrong impression. I want to be friends, though."

I see someone stand up to my right and glance over. I stop eating my french fries because who I see is my best friend Thalia....and Blake...and Ethan. I see her start to look awkward. I look at Chris and raise my eyebrow. "Errund to run my butt." I said that with a sarcastic voice.

" What," I was evpecting something differentthan that. I had never had a GF and when I first like a girl she has a diffrent boyfriend,I don't go well with girls,I thought. I stoped eating and looked upat her face. She did not have the smile she always had. Now I am not good with expreshens but I knew she was sad. I looked around to see people looking at us. All of a sudden I was not hungry( even thou I already had eat the pizza). I don't know if I felt mad or sad. I dained the mountain-due.

Odysseus had been quite tired lately, and had almost slept through his alarm. He hadn't wanted to go to the barbecue as he was working on one of his most important battle strategies ever, but he had promised someone special he would be there; and he always kept his promises, so as not to taint the good name of his mother, Athena. He smiled at the thought of meeting Thalia at the barbecue, sure he was late, but he would apologize. He really hadn't meant to sleep through his alarm.

He hurried down to the Lake, and grabbed a plate. After, he poured out some of food for the gods and an extra helping for his mother, he went over to where he saw Thalia sitting between two boys. One was the son of Ares, which made Odysseus irritable. The rivalry of Athena and Ares goes back to the Trojan War. Ares had been on the losing side with the Trojans, and Athena had been on the winning side with the Greeks. Ever since then, children of Ares and Athena could barely get along.

He narrowed his eyes, and walked toward Thalia,"Hey, I'm so sorry I am late. I know I promised you I'd be here. I slept through my alarm. I've been busy working on finishing my best battle strategy ever. Will you forgive me?"

I saw a Athena boy come down and talk about something like battle plans. Bla,I like bloody battles. " I will be at the mess hall with Blake to get out of your way,ok.

" I guess, but I'd rather stay at camp" I say, I didn't like leaving camp, this was the only safe place for demigods and once we stepped out of the borders we would be fair game.

I left with Ethan to go to the dining hall to sit. I wasn't planning to eat anything though. I was really sad. I felt like disappearing forever.

I came to the barbecue to eat and rest peacefully and watch the lake at a bench.I sat behind Thelia and Odysseus Carlson.

I walked down to the barbeque and got a salad. I was really lonely. I sat down on a bench near a boy that was really cute. Maybe he'd talk to me.

The conversation was borring so I got up to go to the beach. Then I saw a lonly girl sitting by herself so I sat by her. Now this is not my type of actions but I wanted tO be nice.

"I'm 13. Um, uh, are you good at sword fighting? I don't have a sword that really fits me, if you know what I mean." I am actually carrying on a conversation with him. Yay!

I watched Ethan and Blake look sad. I felt horrible. I didn't mean to hurt them. I look up to see Odyseuss walking toward us. I smile real big and hug him. I am so glad to see him. But then I see Blake and Ethan get up and leave. I sit down and frown.

I watch as Thalia looses her pretty smile. She must have just said something to hurt their feelings because they didn't look too happy either. Then I saw another boy come over. She smiled so big when she saw him. She jumped up and hugged him tight. But again she lost her smile when the other two boys left. I looked at Chris. "She looks so sad."

I came back to the barbecue to see how Thelia was doing. All she was doing was talking.I lissoned in.

I layed my head on Odyseuss' shoulder. A tear slipped down my cheek. I put a fake smile on so Odyseuss wouldn't notice. I hated when people were mad at me.
