Camp Barbeque

Odysseus sat down, put an arm around Thalia, and kissed her on the forehead. "So, I take it I'm forgiven then," he said jokingly. He had noticed her lose her beautiful smile. He was no expert about emotion, but he could tell she was upset, and trying to hide it from him. It made him sad to think that she was unhappy.

"Hey, look at me." He reached over and gently turned her head towards him. She was crying, and it made him feel awful. "What is wrong," he asked softly. "What happened?"

He sighed, it obviously had something to dowith that Ares kid and his buddy. She hadn't been upset until they left. What had hapened, he wondered, silently. What did they do to her?

"Was it those to boys," he asked, a bit defensively. "Did they hurt you in any way?"

If they hurt her, he thought to himself, they will learn really quick what the full fledge anger of a child of Athena feels like.

I looked up at him. "No. They didn't hurt me. I think I hurt them. And thats what makes me sad." I kiss his cheek and try to look happy for him.

I see a tear roll down Thalia's cheek. I start to get up but then sit back down. If that boy cares for her he will do something about it. I smile at Magnus and Chris. But I really am worried about Thalia.

Thalia smiled and kissed him on the cheek, but Odyseeus wasn't quite buying it. He wasn't sure why. He was a child of Athena, not Aphrodte so he couldn't sense her emotions, but somehow, he just knew. "Look, I want you to be yourself around me, Thalia. There's no sense in hiding your feelings. You've already won my heart. I'm going to be by your side through the good, the bad, and the ugly, ok."

He smiled, and then he had a thought. He was no friend of Ares or his children, but obviously his girlfriend really liked those boys as friends. Odysseus wanted her to be happy, and if that meant letting her be friends with a son of Ares and the other demigod, then so be it.

"Look, no one is perfect, Thalia. So you upset them. If they are really your friends then they will see what a kind-hearted person you really are. I can't imagine anyone not looking past a mistake. Everyone makes them from time to time. Look, let me talk to them, and make them see reason, okay. Listen, I may not like that Ares boy, but you are my girlfriend, and I want you to be happy. Far be it from me to keep you from choosing your own friends. I'll see if I can go find him, ok?"

He leaned over, and this time, kisses her on the lips. "Be good, and I will be right back. It shouldn't take long. I got up to find the Ares kid and his friend.

He offered to go talk to Ethan. I was happy now. Especially because right before he got up he kissed me. I smiled big and then saw Solania looking my way. My eyes got wide. Busted, I thought to myself. I looked down and saw Ethan army crawling a few feet behind us. What is he doing?, I thought.

I watched as the boy leaned in and kissed her. I raised an eyebrow because I felt her feelings soar. Then she saw me. Her eyes got wide because she knew she had been busted. She looked down and I laughed. Why was she hiding a crush? Oh yeah. Because she blew us off for him.

Odysseus walked over to the Ares boy, and said, with no warmth in his voice,"Son of Ares, we need to talk. You have upset my girlfriend, and I am dangerously close to upsetting you. Look she wants to be your friend and you brush her off, and I want to know why. She is such a beautiful, kind, and wonderful person. I don't understand why you would brush her off the way you did."

He paused, and looked as if he could kill the boy. He was just angry, but one wouldn't know that by the way he looked. He looked totally serious.

He continued,"Look, I may not approve of your friendship with Thalia, but I want her to be happy. So here is what is going to happen, you are going to get your butt off the ground, waltz over to my girlfriend, there, and apologize to her; because the you really hurt her. The way I see it, you are lucky I care so much for her, because I could really hurt you for hurting her."

He grabbed the Ares boy, and lifted him up by his arms. Setting him down, he said,"March."

I didn't see Odyseuss pick up Ethan and set him down. I was watching Blake walk by the lake. I felt horrible again. He had helped me and I had hurt him. Why was I so mean?

Thalia may not have seen it but I did. Her boyfriend picked up the Ares kid and set him down. I could feel the anger radiating from him. He must really like Thalia. I know I wouldn't be able to stand up to an Ares kid. Well, I could stand up to one for Chris and ecspecially Thalia.

i punched him playfully(which was not light) and said,"I never knew you liked her, Me and Blake liked her with her such beautiful face and hai..."
"Shut up," he said.
"So we were sad that you liked her and apparently she was sad we were sad."

Blake walked up to me and apologized. I saw him tear up. I stood up and hugged him. "Hey. Don't cry. Yes we are friends. And you don't have to apologize."

I walked to the bonfire and paused. Thalia was hugging some boy and Solania was talking to another boy. I walked over and sat on a bench. I laughed. They can't stay away from the boys.

"I am sorry" I stop hugging him. I had forgot we were hugging. There was still a light sprinkle of rain because I was still crying. I couldn't stop. I didn't know why but I felt he was still not happy with me.

I see a boy under a tree not far from Thalia. He is hot. But I am not good with boys. I don't want to embarrass myself.

I didn't want to bother Blake so I let him be. "Ok. Bye, I guess." I frowned. I looked at Odyseuss and smiled.

I looked over at the boy who had put his head down. "Hey. If you don't mind me asking, are you ok?" I gave him a friendly smile.
