Thinking Things Through [PRIVATE]

I charged forward, keeping my gaze on the shield. Once I knew I was only a few feet away from her, I slashed, and then hacked. Now that Kai was able to fight, fighting Medusa was much more easier than before. I thrusted, my sword cutting right through her. This wasn't enough to kill her, I had to get to a point where I could slash off her head.

As I advanced forward once more, I accidently lost my grip on the shield. When it hit the floor, I knew I was dead. Crap, I thught. That was the only thing keeping me alive. What do I do now? I panicked, but pursued my approach. I closed my eyes, letting my sword dly freely. I felt it hit something, but I was unsure of what. Did I kill her? I asked myself. I was unsure of what happened, but kept my eyes closed just incase.

She had missed Medusa and hit me on the arm.Nothing major.Just a little blood."The sheild is to your right,two steps back." I said.My knives were slowing her down.

I listened to his instructions, and stepped backwards. Picking up the shield, I gazed into it, only to find Medusa's horrible apperance once more. Then I noticed Kai, little dripplets of blood gushed out of his arm. "Kai, are you alright?" I asked in a semi-wisper.

"Uh... I'm fine." I said.I didn't mention she had hit me.I didn't want her to feel bad.

I nodded at Kai's response, and gripped the shield tighter. As Medusa charged after me, I raised the shield all the way up to my face, deflecting her attack. I hacked at her arm, but missed by just a few inches. Slash, missed again.

One of my knives hit Medusa in the face.No matter how serious this was,I had to laugh at that.Right in her face!Pretty much on the nose!

I advanced forward, my sword pointed at her stomache area. I was determined to finish her off this time. She seemed to be slowing down, which is a good thing. Hopefully if I'm able to make this one shot, I'll be able to put an end to her.

I hoped Melina hit her.She could kill him.I couldn't.Otherwise I'd be attacking her.

I quickly sidestepped Medusa's assault, keeping my gray-eyed gaze on my shield. She attempted to slam her dagger down on my arm, but I deflected it with my celestial bronze sword. I needed Kai to distract Medusa. I needed him to make her focus on him rather than me. It would make it easier for me to slash her head off if I was behind her, and she was completly unaware.

I knew what she was thinking,by some miracle."Yo,Snake face!" I yelled.

Medusa redirected her attention to Kai, her expression clearly stating I-will-kill-you. I readied my sword, but I knew that she'd have to be even more furious than this. Once she was, I'd slash her head off. Simple as that. "What did you just say?" she asked.

"Oh nothing." I said casually."Just called you a snake-face,but that was subtle." She looked mad.It was working.

I could tell it was working. She was becoming more furious by the minute. I cut her off at mid-sentence, easily slicing her head off, dislocating it from her body. It rolled onto the floor, which was pretty disgusting if you can imagine it. I didn't even want to go near it that's how bad it was. Overcoming that thought, I grabbed a blanket that was located on the couch and cradled her head in it. Also pretty disgusting.

I set the gorgon head down on the couch, and walked over to Kai. Studying his wound intentively, I asked, "Are you alright?" I held his arm up to my face where I could see it easier. It wasn't anything major, but it was worth being checked out. "I'm sorry I put you through all of this. I honestly am. I never expected my step-mom to be that horrifying."

"No problem." I said."This,has been a fun day.Like,3 battles or something,and I got to insult Medusa!" I smiled.

I smiled at Kai. "We've only been here for two days, and it only took us three times to almost get ourselves killed." I ripped a piece of the blanket that held Medusa's head, and used it to bandage up Kai's arm. "Well, since I had my fun," I said jokingly, "is there anything you need to do?"

"Are you sure?" I questioned. "I'm happy to go anywhere with you. Plus the fact I don't think I really want my half-siblings dead, so we might as well leave soon. Anyway, if there is anything you need to do, I'll go."

"Well,I can't really go anywhere in public." I admitted."I used to have to steal food to survive,so I'm kind of wanted by the New York police.And a few store managers."

I cocked my head at his response. "So, where do you go when you're away from camp?" I interigated. He couldn't possibly stay at camp forever. He had to at least do something to get away and relax.

I sat on the floor indian-style. "What's there? I've been around almost all of the world, but I visited all these fancy places. That's when I was escaping the monsters with my dad, but you know. It never really ends well I guess."

I leaned my head on his shoulder. "Yeah, me too," I swooned. Thankfully, we were alone again. We wouldn't need to worry about my half-siblings intruding, or Medusa.
