APOLLO CABIN

After hearing Katie scream my name, I dart after her, leaving my bagel there and yelling out a quick "No thanks, bro! We'll be good!" When I approach Katie at the Hill, I approach her and take her arm, concerned at first. "Katie, are you o-" I can't speak. The car... the beautiful yellow Lamborghini... was there next to her. "How? Why? What the Hades?!"

"This was from DAD?!" I beam with excitement. "But where is that boy?" Looking around without too much effort, I don't see him walking around. Was he still asleep? "How do you know it was him?"

"I... Don't but I asked if it was him and he grinned at me and left a.. THE NOTE" I exclaimed running down to check it out. I picked it up and quickly read through it. My expression changing from Super Happy to puzzled than a 'So happy you will die in 5 seconds' I quickly erased my part of the note before Alexia could read it. I would share it with her in due time. "There's a part for you too" I said handing her the note as she made her way down the hill.

Sorry Small Powerplay O.o

(i don't care! haha 'and then Katie died suddenly...' that would be major powerplaying haha)

As I meet her at the car, I see a part of the note that's for me. "He left a note for- for me?" I quickly unfold it as fast as I can, wrinkling it a little in the process.

Alexia,

Hey, girl. I wanted to tell you something before you go find your sister.

1. I'm sorry everything happened so fast and soon with Emily, but she couldn't stay there with you. The other gods were already mad for me having one kid with Lizzie, but twins? You two were too powerful together, even from birth.
2. You know your strengths. You know your weaknesses. Use everything to your advantage.

After reading it, I fold it back up and hand it to Katie. I didn't need to read Seth's section. That was personal for him.

I breathed a huge sigh. My burden would be gone I would be Okay, We were going to save Alexia's sister. Whom, since I loved Alexia to death, could possibly be even sweeter. I turned the keys in the ignition my eyes glinting with happiness of the huge engine roaring to life. "As soon as Seth get's here we are taking off." I said in general.

I smile and stand outside of the door in anticipation of Seth' arrival. The engine's purr makes the ground vibrate under my feet, and you'd think that I'd be a Hephaestus kid with the way it gave me goosebumps. In a random moment of panic, I run away to our cabin. About two minutes later, I am in the car with my guitar and fifty mortal dollars, now relieved. I stick the acoustic in the trunk and sit on the hard ground, waiting for my brother.

I watch them from the cabin. What ever was happening they mentioned Dad a lot. My muscles tensed and I sighed. No doubt he had visited them. Now I felt alone and abandoned. My wish at camp was to meet him, but they had been here longer. I would find my time, right? Returning to my room, the last thing I excepted to see was in there. A piano. I looked it over. It definitely wasn't the cabin's regular piano. It was made of wood that looked like it had been given a tan. It had a sun painted on the side with great elegance. The white keys were as white as Olympus' clouds and the black keys were as black as the underworld. I ran my pointer finger along the rim of the whole thing, marveling at it's beauty. Suddenly my hand grasped a small sheet of paper. I held it up, my heart thumping.

Hale,

Dude! I'm so glad you made it to camp. I knew there was a reason for giving you life, and I'm sorry about your little brother. A mortal women can't have two demigod kids, even if one was mine. But you survived and proved yourself, right? Right.

I can't believe your cabin leader, and I have to say, congrats. I know you have an upcoming quest, and you must remember: If there's a light, there's a way. And you Hale, are a light. Literally. You are a light child.

Now, I can't write much more, but I can leave you with a final thing to think about. You are a leader. Lead.

I wanted to start balling when he signed the letter Dad, but he was right. I needed to lead. Leaving my new piano and burning up the note with light, I exit the room. There were a few things I needed to do. My quest was one of them.

I was rushing around camp, looking for my things. When i had everything gathered I asked someone where my sisters were. When they told me they had left camp's borders, i ran after them. "Hey. sorry i'm late. New ride?" I didnt even notice the note, i was in awe oof the car

I get off of the ground and hop in the back seat after dusting off my shorts. Seth now here, we could finally leave. I was ready to just get on with the quest at this point. "So how do we find out where in Hades we're going? Any bright ideas, anyone?" I tried to think of anything at all that could help, but the last thing I heard about Emily ever (before coming to Camp) was when I had to steal a letter when I was about nine from that Social Worker about her being adopter in Washington. Mom caught me looking at it, grounded me, and burned the letter all in the same instant. Coming back into reality, I look around the beautiful, brand-new interior.

The wind whipped my hair as Katie accelerated. When she handed me the note, I gave her a weird look and shrugged. But I read it anyway.

Seth -

Dude! Glad to see you made it back to Camp in one piece! Sorry I haven't written, Zeus and his non-interference rules. Bah! Anyway, you need to protect your siblings, they have a lot more to lost than you do, but I want you to be careful as well, my son. These travels won't be easy, after all, whees the fun in easy? I've heard you praying for a purpose, now you have it. You are a skilled fighter, but this time it'll be much worse. Beware your past.

There was a bit more i didn't get a chance to read it, as Katie's speed ripped it from my hands, and behind us, down the road.

I was working the shift stick but managed to yell a "Sorry!" we hit top speed and I felt like we were literally flying. "THIS IS AWESOME" I yelled with a smile stuck to my face. If we had hit a hellhound which had actually narrowly our tire it would have gone flying.

I quickly buckle up as we sped down the road. All of my fears and worries seemed to leave me at the moment the engine came to life and showed off its amazing Lamborghini powers. I sit in the seat and think over Dad's note, but I can only think of the happiness it brought me. Beside the small inscription on my guitar, I'd never had any contact with him before. Was he finally proud of me? Did he want us to rescue Emily, or should we just leave her to die, like Zeus and the other gods wanted? "Too powerful together... The words haunted my thoughts.

I didnt want to worry them, so i smiled and shrugged. "Just Dad being Dad. Haikus, "dudes" and such." I ran my hands through my hair, trying to hide all signs of doubt for the quest

I look at Chris and Strachan. Having just come out of my room with the best gift I ever received, I just wanted to go back. Still, I felt that would be rude. "Well, I bet you guys like music, right?" I tilt my head slightly so my question would seem more honest. "Well, you've gotta' check this out!" I raced back into my room, finding the piano now rolled into an empty spot that had needed filling. I looked around, trying to find the culprit. Standing next to the piano, leaning on it, was a boy about 19. His hair was golden blonde and his eyes were sea blue. He was smiling ever so slightly. He looked a lot like me. "Dad?!?" I asked. "Guys, quick!" I call, but Dad disappeared before they had the chance to come in.

I look at Chris. I wasn't sure if I really wanted to tell him that Apollo had brought it for me. "Oh, you know, parents . . ." I trail off, not wanting to lie. Really, I had told the truth. My note was still slowly burning in the light, but my heart pounded. I didn't want my note gone! Still, what use was it now. It was burned completely black, and turning to ash. I closed my eyes and hoped his handwriting was still legible. "Want to hear me play something?" I cover.
