Mirror of Archimedes

We dismount our pegasi and walk to the ruins of the gate. About 6 statues line the side. ''This looks like it might be too easy...'' I say sarcastically.

"Yeah," Austin says.

As if on que, when Austin said that, the six statues came to life and went in a line formation in front of the door. A closer examination revealed that they were made of metal, and fashioned like greek warriors.The inner two were weilding a sword and shield combo. The next two had sharped, barbed spears while the outer two each had both and razor sharp axe and a spiked club. "We had to tempt the fates...."I said "Oh well... we each get two". I sprinted towards the centre two, pulling out my knives.

BIC: One of the automotons brings his sword down to me and I block it with both knives and slice at his thigh. My blade bounces off but I notice his knee shook a little. To experiment, I stab his knee and it separates, making him fall down. I slice at his Neck and his head pops off. ''Thats it!!'' I shout. ''Hit them at the joints, these things are like Hephestaus rejects!''

I'm surrounded by the two automotons that are left. I throw my two knives at the one infront of me. One hits the right arm making it fall off. The other one hits the neck, making the whole thing collapse. The two knives bend at odd angles making them useless so I pick up my fallen opponents weapon and use it to stab the automoton in the joint between it's stomach and chest. It falls and we continue on our way into the generals room.

I start looking around for things that can be usefull in our investigation. I check the drawrs in the room and find a Bangle. I examine the bangle and my hand passes over an engraving of what looks like a sword. In my hand, the bangle changes into a celestial bronze sword, almost cutting my hand. '' I guess the general was a demi-god. At least I have a new weapon." I say.

''Leave it to me'' I say. I walk up to the camera and, using my new weapon, cut the wire from the camera to the wall. Then I smash the camera with the butt of my sword. The tape falls out and I was going to hit it with my sword again untill I realised the hit reverted it back to a bangle on my wrist, so I stepped on it. ''Problem solved.'' I look around the room and see a peculiar shadow on the generals desk.

I look up to where the shadow came from. On the window above the desk was a mirror, and in the centre of it was a triangular shard. In the center of that was a pentagon, which surrounded a circle wich was around a pentagon. ''The symbol of Archimedes...'' I said slowly. I walk up to the shard and touch it. It pops off into my hand and I hold it, marveling the artifact.

"yeah but this is only the first peice out of seven. So quick, chech the room now for any clues as to where the next piece is". I say while putting the first peice in the charmed backpack, and taking out a chocolate bar to munch.

I look under the desk and find a peice of yellowing paper, with a sequence of numbers on them. "They could be map coordinants. To Boston I think. I can get a better idea of where it might be on the flight there. It'll be a long one"

"wait, no it looks more like.... Old House... I think, it will be more apparant when we get there" I say and we walk over to our pegasi and fly towards boston.

We begin to fly faster, but the ride begins to be boring. "What are yoougood at in camp?" I ask Austin, thinking that knowledge might come in handy.

"Sort of one sided eh?" I say laughing. "I'm a good fighter with most weapons, and I'm an amazing tactician... unfortunately there hasn't been much to do that needs tactics so I was getting kind of bored at camp".

"Not enough stuff to steal?" I ask sarcastically. "Seriously though, they need to have more capture the flag, or maybe an activity for battle strategy, that would really help.''
