Mirror of Archimedes

The slow steady beating of the pegasus' wings slowly lulls me into a deep sleep, but I trust me mount to not shake me off on the way to Virginia.
OOC: you have a gaia account? whats your name on it?

I notice Alex drift off then I start to feel tired. "Might as well get some rest..." I mumble to myself. Then I wrap my arms around my pegasi's neck and start to fall asleep, too.

~I don't. XD I just used Dream Avatar or something along those lines.

OOC: Okay then, sorry
BIC: I wake up from my nap a few hours later. Seeing no reason to wake up Ollie, I check my makeshift bandage. The wound stopped bleeding, but there is a chance it could get infected. " I'll se if we have ambrosia or something when we land." I mutter to myself. I see we're off course slightly so I turn my mount to the right a bit, and Ollie's follows suit.

I lead the horses to a small field, slightly south of the town, so they don't get noticed. It's about a 15 miute walk to the church from here, so I search in my bacg for ambrosia while Ollie sleeps. I find a baggie, half full and take a small piece. The wound closes up more, but leaves a large scar on my leg. "At least I have a souvenir." I mutter to myself.

I look up and see the metal bird. I just thought it was a low flying plane, until I see it move it's wings. The winged automoton is large enough for me to see at this distance but not large enough to make out features, so I'm guessing it's still pretty large. About twice as large as the automotons we're used to fighting which are about a foot taller than me. I gently shake ollie awake and point at the metal behemoth.

As it comes closer, I realise it's much larger than I previously thought. It has razor sharp talons and, knowing Hephestus, Zeus know what else. "You think we should run, or hide?" I ask my comrade.

I leap on my mount and we're off in seconds. The automoton though has no problem keeping up with us, so I touch the bangle on my arm and a spear shoots into my hand. Quickly, I shoot through ways to kill the beheomoth in my head picking up a few good, but dangerous strategies.

The first strategy is that one of us could distract him, while the other one junps on him from above. The person on top would then look of chincks in the automoton's armor and dismantle him. Unfourtunately there are several things that can go wrong with that, so I turn to Ollie and quickly explain my plan to see what he thinks.

I nod. "Mmk. Sounds good. I'll distract." I wonder what I'm going to do.

I bring my pegasus in a steep incline while the metal bird turns towards Ollie. I don't even have time to see waht he did to attract the moster's attention. Instead I jump off of my mount and crash into the side of the automoton. I begin to slip off the side, so in a fit of panic I jab my spear into it,s body.

I catch sight of Alex and motion for the other pegasus to catch him. The pegasus swoops right under him. I, on the other hand, fly around the automaton's head. It lets out a bellowng roar.

With my feet planted firmly on the back of my pegasus, I spring back onto the automoton's neck. I bring the spear down in a strong thrust and it goes through the automoton's head. It begins to fall, spiraling towards the field we took off from so I jump back to my mount. We begin to land when the automoton smashes into the ground leaving huge crater. I get off, and stride carefully towards the wreckage, spear hefted.

OOC: Due to complications, this quest is now looking for 1 to 2 new people to join, I'd be more than happy if anyone asked and I'll fill you in on whats happened.

I observe the wreckage with my one eye carefully, watching for signs of life.

OOC: Yeah yeah, im in.

-.- Its a quest, which means private to invited, plus, where shall I find 4 sentences after he kills a monster with a character that just got in? I cant.

The glowing red eyes of the automoton flicker, dim and then finally die. " I guess thats that Freddie. " I say. "We shoulld grab our stuff and walk to Jamestown, it's not to far from here and I don't want to attract the attention of any more of these." I suggest, while pointing my spear to the burned up heap of metal that was my foe a few seconds ago. I push the botton on the butt of my spear, and it turns into it's origional bangle, around my wrist.

after a good 10 minutes of walking, we arrive in the edge of town. "Before we do anything else, we should stock up on more supplies." I say to Freddie. " We're almost out." I lead us to the nearest store, and we begin to see what we need.
