Am I the ONLY one snowboarding here? {Essie}

Amber
I was boarding around in the snow when
I realized that I was the only one snow-
boarding. I felt really awkward. Maybe
I was used to being in a competition to
fit in. This shouldn't matter to me anym-
ore. I looked at the ring glinting on my
finger. I smiled. I knew I shouldn't have
brought it here though. I could've lost it.
But I chose to. After all, I was supposed
to keep it on. I liked it there anyways.
It reminded me that this was all real.

Adrian came up to a girl who was snowboarding on his snowmobile. "Hey, do I know you?" he knew it was Amber and winked. He smiled, seeing the ring still on her finger, it was real, he was engaged, this really was happening. He got off and went over to her, carrying her to the snowmobile. He put her on his lap, "Hey Ambs." he smiled.

Amber
I removed the board and got off his lap.
"Seriously?" I asked jokingly."Oh, but I
don't know you." I said with a wink. I p-
layed along with his little charade. If co-
urse, I would prefer to sit on his lap and
talk. But then, playing around with him
was fun.

Adrian rolled his eyes, "Of course, too soon." he smiled, looking at her ring, "Who's the lucky guy?" he asked, a small smirk appearing on his face. He played along with the game he had created. This would be fun. Like recreating a first date... except they were pretending that she was engaged to someone else, because that made perfect sense. he laughed at his weird thoughts.

"Oh, someone by the name of Adrian."
I said innocently with a wink. Okay, a bit
childish, but it didn't matter. We were e-
njoying our time here. I didn't care what
others said about us anyways. We were
reckless. And I loved him. What else did
they expect? For us to be 30?

Adrian faked confusion, "That's my name... I wonder...?" he smiled, coming over to her again. lifting her up and spinning her in a circle. "I shouldn't do that. My fiance might get mad..." he smiled at her. They were being kids, engaged or not, just because you got married didn't mean that you automatically turned old.

Amber
I smiled as he picked me up and spun me
around. "No, I'm sure she'll make an exc-
ception." I said smirking. I leaned in and
kissed him. Okay, from acting like a kid
to PDA. Yes, it was possible. Sure me,
I couldn't care any less. I wrapped my
hands around his neck, hoping that he
wouldn't pull back and continue the ga-
me. That would be a pity. A waste of
the moment.

Adrian kissed her back. he pulled back later and smiled, "Oh hi Amber." he smirked. He kissed her lightly on the lips again before picking her up and bringing her to the snowmobile. "Your lips are cold." he smiled, getting his hot chocolate container. "Here." he smiled, leaning against his bag with Amber by him.

Amber
I took a sip from the container. And rested
my head on his shoulder. I smiled. I wished
a moment like this would last forever. I wi-
sh that we would stay like this forrever. In
this little trance. "Thanks for everything Ad-
rian." I whispered.

Adrian looked at her, "For what?" he smiled, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "You are the best thing that happened to me Amber. I should be thanking you for everything." he smiled, taking a sip from the container.

Amber
I felt my heart race hearing that. Dang,
this boy was going to be the death of
me someday. I Quickly kissed him on
the cheek and rested my head back on
his shoulder. This was a moment that
I would never forget. Sitting here, dri-
nking hot chocolate. It wasn't your id-
ea roamntic scenery, but it wouls pass
for me.

Adrian smiled, he loved that moment, being with Amber. Damn... she was turning him into a sap. he smiled. "You wanna go for a ride?" he asked, raising an eyebrow, motioning towards the front of the the mobile. He smiled. "Or you can try to keep up on your snowboard..." he winked.

"Let's see if I can keep up with a snowmobile."
I said with a smile. It would be fun to see if I
could keep up. I doubted it though. A snowm-
obile had an engine, whereas a snowboard
was powered by gravity and force. Etc.

Adrian smirked, "Fine. Winner gets the rest of the hot chocolate." he smiled. He smirked, "On three one..."he started the mobile, "Two..." he looked at her for starting them off, "To the bottom of the hill...Thr-" he revved the motor, waiting for her to go.

Amber
As he said three, I raced down the hill at top speed.
We were in the middle of the slope and We were
neck to neck. The slope was rather steep
and it was black terrain. crap I thought as I r-
ealized I was starting to lose balance. Luckily I reg-
ained it an- I felt my board slam into something and
I went flying in the air. I couldn't do a flip right now,
it was too dangerous. If I made a mistake in the ju-
mp, I would probrably suffer even more than if I got
hurt from this. I prayed and hoped for the best. In a
slit second, I was on the ground.

I felt a darkness over take me as my eyelids gave
in and they closed shut.

Adrian pulled over his snowmobile at raced over to Cherry, she hit a rock that the Khione kids hadn't covered with soft snow. he cursed as he picked her up, "Ambs? Amber, babe, can you hear me?" he asked, frantically, trying to get her to open her eyes or something, he held her in front of him as he raced to the bottom of the hill seeking some kind of a medical person who was near. He was an idiot, he had made her do the race from the start. Naturally he was blaming himself, but he felt even worse with the fact that it was Amber who had gotten hurt, his fiance, the girl that he loved. He looked at her, "Amber?" he asked his voice barely above a whisper.

At the bottom of the hill he picked her up and ran her to the infirmary. Rushing her to an open bed, where they started to see what was wrong. Adrian stood watching in a corner, worrying about her.

Kaedon
I was in the infirmary feeding ambrosia to
someone who had hurt their arm when I
was told I was needed somewhere else.
I saw a blonde on the bed and a goth loo-
king guy looking very, very worried. I ex-
amined her inuries. The report stated that
she got hurt while snowboarding. I knew
the ski hill was a bad idea. She had a few
bruises and cuts here and there. She most
likely had a concussion. It wasn't serious,
but it needed medical care.

I turned around and told the boy standing
next to him. "I believe she has a concuss-
ion. It's nothing major, she'll wake up in a
few hours to a day. She'll need to stay he-
re for a day or two after that." I told him.

Adrian gulped. She had a concussion...concussion..CONCUSSION. The word finally made sense in his mind. He looked at the guy, "I have to stay with her." he said, a seriousness in his eyes, he wasn't going to leave her side the entire time she was there. Whether this guy liked it or not. This was his fiance, his Amber, his love, and he wouldn't leave her.

"Sure, just remember that the last
shift's over at 7:30. So you'll be
alone." I tell him. I didn't really c-
are if they stayed or not. I deal
with people not wanting to leave
all the time. It's not like they w-
ould be disturbing anyone else.

Adrian smiled at the guy. "Alright, thanks." he said, he looked at Amber, care and worry shining through easily through his eyes. He sighed, "She'll be completely fine right?" he asked, looking at the other guy. "When she wakes up right?" he bit the back of his piercings. HE waited for an answer. He didn't care if she somehow went mute, of deaf. Of if she didn't look the same for some reason. He would love her forever. He just needed to know.

Kaedon
I would tell him that she would suffer from
possible damage of neutrons in her brain.
I could tell him that there was a possiblity
that she would have trouble answering ev-
en simple questions. But I didn't want to
scare the guy, so I just answered simply.
"I don't know. There are possibilities, but
we don't know for sure till she wakes up."
I tell him.

Last time I told someone that their girlfri-
end may end up having major issues, I
got punched square in the jaw. Lets just
hope this guy was more controlled.

Adrian gulped and nodded, hoping that she didn't have any. He wanted her to be fine. Dammit, he messed this up. He closed his eyes, only focusing on what happened, and how he could've stopped it. There was nothing he could've done, except not have had that race. he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "How big are the possibilities?" he asked, looking at the Amber as he spoke softly.

"Judging from what condition she's in
right now, I'd guess there would be a
80-85% chance that she would be p-
erfectly fine. But then again, I'm not
sure because she hasn't woken up
and there are no x-ray machines h-
ere." I told him.

This guy seemed... as calm as one
can get. Unless, he was bottling his
feelings up and then using me for
a punching bag like last time.

Adrian nodded, it was a good chance, without checking her bones or anything. He gulped for the third time. "She has to be fine." he murmured. "She just has to." he stated quietly. He was acting calm, and he knew it had to be surprising to the guy. He turned, only until he could see Amber out of the corner of his eye, "I'm Adrian Hawthorne." he stated softly, holding out his hand.

I shook his hand. "I'm Kaedon Jesson.
Nice to meet you. I hope she's okay."
I said noticing the ring on the girl's fi-
nger. It was 6 already. I needed to g-
et to the mess hall to eat. "Well, my
shift's over. I'll come back tomorrow
to check on her." I told him.
