Fayelyn Rose Young has always been a genuinely happy-go-lucky child--until February 14th, 2009. What happened when little Faye was only thirteen years of age? What terrible thing happened that made the oh-so-happy little girl isolate herself from society? What happened that brought her and her twin’s bond closer? To answer these questions, one must seek a relationship of any sort and bring that real smile back upon her face; make her laugh.

On a dark night--no, scratch that. On a winter day in mid-February, Fayelyn Young and her brother, Connor, were at a park, alone. Faye fell into an uncontrollable dark sleep, envisioning someone physically attacking her. When she tried to pry away from the attacker’s grasp, she couldn’t see his face. It was pitch black. She blew the whole thing off as a nightmare; nothing to be paranoid over. One year later, exactly, Faye and Connor went to a high school party where Faye couldn’t stay awake, so when Connor left Faye alone, someone pulled her away. They took the poor girl’s innocence and left her twin to find her unconscious, sprawled on the bedroom floor.

Sophomore year began in September 2010, with a so-very-unhappy Faye that she couldn’t take living anymore. Not wanting to scare anyone, she hid her depression beneath her ever-so-lovely fake smile and happiness. Lately, she and her brother have become inseparable--Faye refusing to be left alone without him, resulting in the diagnosis of her dependent personality. No one ever suspects a thing.

No one suspects she may crack.

physical appearance
From Fayelyn’s behind, her brunette hair cascades in one sleek line down her back, with a side fringe falling over her left eye. She doesn’t need to straighten it; it has that “perfect” balance of natural waves and sleekness. Her hair is rarely ever pulled back in a braid, ponytail, etc. The most she’ll ever do is curl it subtlety. She stands at a petite height of five-foot-three, proudly. She has a creamy, yet pale complexion, complementing her pigmented hazel irises.

Turn Faye around. Look at her front. She has round hazel irises, on the rare occasion, she’ll outline her eyes in subtle black liner. Faye’s face is nothing extraordinary in shape, yet her cheekbones are rather high. She has all the other requisite parts: two eyes, one adorable button nose and twenty-four teeth to add to a not-so-terrible smile.

Her style isn’t something unusual, but she will most likely throw on anything comfortable, labeling her as the tomboyish type. She can pull off the flowing floral, high-waisted skirt. With her subtle curves, she can pull off anything (although she‘d prefer not). She absolutely hates socks, so she will frequently wear high-top sneakers to cover her habit of refusing to wear socks. She likes denim leggings, so she frolics off in the summer and spring months wearing those paired with a fitted plaid or flannel shirt, cuffed at the wrists or elbows.

personality
Despite her rape, Faye is one of those rare genuinely happy people. People will cut her slack because of this colorful, bouncy and vibrant outlook on life. She is significantly talkative, rowdy and loud for the “reserved” kind. Faye is the kind of person who will yell obscene words in a public place. She is more so insecure and unconfident than flirtatious and attention-seeking. Faye becomes quite detached from her brother when he gets a girlfriend and envy arises. Faye doesn’t like her one brother and friend giving and receiving so much attention from others. Often trapped in her own mind, she’s prone to making logical observations. Her mind is quite loud, as she thinks more often than she speaks. When someone hurts Faye, she’ll cut them up days later or run to her brother for protection. When she should be performing or presenting something, she’ll run and hide, wishing she had the courage to be in front of a crowd.

When Faye doesn’t understand a joke or anything for that matter, she, being afraid to ask, will just smile and nod, especially if she didn’t hear your mumbling. She always stays true to her best friends, never betraying them, even if they’ve done it to her, leaving her susceptible to manipulation and being used for someone else’s game. She’s a bit naïve and innocent for a girl of her sixteen. She’ll believe and alter her emotions and memories, if somebody hurts her, leading her to think it’s what she deserves. When it comes to fashion, Faye’s an independent leader who strays from the crowd, rather than hopping on the bandwagon.

All his elementary and middle school life, Connor was the happy-go-lucky kid everyone loved. Around the time of his sister’s rape, people at high school began harassing him, bullying him, abusing him, etc.

Sophomore year changed that. He somehow gained popularity and the typical “hater” database. Sure people hated them, but now he had finally earned a long-term girlfriend and a circle of friends. He never thought too much of it, until he stopped and thought about how the less time he spent with Faye, the more friends he had. He blamed himself for Faye’s depressive state, making sure that nothing was hurting her. He became the protective, yet funny, out-going brother most often seen in the movies, watching out for his siblings.

physical appearance
Connor stands at the average height of five-foot-seven (thanks to a growth spurt at the beginning of the year). Connor isn’t built of muscle or tall and lanky or even overweight, he’s only an average built guy with a swimmer’s body, even though he rarely swims. He has darkened blonde hair cut short atop his head, spiking naturally at the tips, now grown-out bangs covering his forehead. He hates hair gel for the fact that it makes your hair look slimy and overly greasy. He has amber-brown-colored irises as well as semi-heavyset dark brows. His complexion is much more “olive” than his sister’s. Connor, like Faye, has a pretty laid-back style of clothing, consisting of polo shirts, decent, straight leg denim jeans and some sneakers he’ll throw on whenever he pleases.

Connor is generally an all-around nice guy with a pretty nice life as well. Sometimes he’s so caught in his own euphoria that he forgets about his sister’s troubles. Usually, he's the only one who puts his wildly unpredictable sister in her place. When the two are alone (or when Faye is dragged along), Connor goes into “protector” mode. One of his best features of his personality is his sense of humor; it seems as if it’s the only think he can get right. Connor always puts other people before his own needs, being selfless, yet he can do this in the wrong place and wrong time. Like Faye, he can be easily manipulated, but not as effortlessly as her.

Sarcasm and satire are his native languages. He often questions his existence on this planet and this universe or the probability of being a human. He knows when a joke has gone too far and feels empathy or sympathy for the person who he has harmed or even an oblivious stranger on the streets. Connor has a knack for engineering, being interested in how things work and are put together.

Lacey Nemo Kinze. Her name means "lace" and Nemo means "no one." Sure, she was named after a fish.... and don't mock her when you find out her middle name is originally a boy name.

Her mother whom pretty much died shortly after her daughter, Maddie's, successful suicide. She never told Nemo this, though. "Yeah, Mommy said Maddie ran far away and that it'd be a waste to look for her. I hope she's okay. Mommy's dead now."

history
Her history isn't terribly exciting (unless you count her mother's death and the lies of Maddie's true fate), but things are sure to excite when she becomes older. Lacey Nemo Kinze was born in a hospital, about eleven years after her sister, Maddie Kinze. Something was different about her, the doctors just couldn't place what was wrong with her. When she was learning to walk, Lacey's mother noticed after high moments of excitement, the little girl would collapse with stiffened muscles and sleep (almost) endlessly. Nemo was diagnosed as narcoleptic at age two. The years afterward passed like a blur, with mother and daughter family vacations, her mother's wedding, living with her stepfather--that crap. In February 2011 things catalyzed downhill. Maddie Kinze gruesomely committed suicide, even though to Nemo's knowledge, she had only ran away. Her mother told her not to worry, yet shortly after she had died of unknown causes (they're still investigating the case). Jayden, her stepfather, didn't want her (she knows nothing of this) and he dumped her off at an abandoned daycare where she is still confused on how she got here exactly.

physical appearance
Don't be alarmed by the tininess of Nemo, she's still growing, after all, she's only five. She stands at an average stature of three-foot-seven-and-a-half. She is flat as a board, which is completely natural for a school-age girl. She's very athletic and loves to participate in several sports. She's only 42 pounds with virtually no "baby fat." She has a relatively fast metabolism from her constant play outdoors (her mom originally forced her). She has the body of a young athlete.

Nemo has incredibly silky, naturally straight mousy brown hair that curls when she wants and falls passed her shoulderblades when she doesn't. She has a creamy, milky complexion that's soft to the touch due to still being a child. Nemo has a cute, baby face with high, dimpled cheekbones seen when she smiles that toothy smile. She loves and prefers to be behind the camera (she had a fear of being photographed when age two).

She has round green eyes; the irises outlined in dark blue. She doesn’t care for fashion, being so young. She'd much rather live for fun as she's carefree (and somewhat careless). She wears blue--light, dark, powder, cerulean--anything she can get hands on that's blue. She likes straight-legged denim jeans over anything else. Nemo often wears shirts with childish, cute sayings or bland, solid-colored tees. She loves pajamas and black or powder blue Converse.

personality
A free spirit, Nemo spends most of her time outside and is prone to ill temper if she spends a long time indoors (unless playing Sims). She's always on the move and often people find her difficult to handle (like past babysitters). Her caretakers find it impossible to understand her narcolepsy, yet laugh when she cutely collapses asleep. She does have an arrogant and cheeky side, but only when she's being overly sarcastic. She is very stubborn, like most toddlers, swearing things must go her way. Although she is overall, an energetic, happy person, she has the moments where she believes there is nearly no hope and gets serious. Such moments are frightening, for both herself and other people. Challenges? Always accepted.

Lacey doesn't know when she's right or wrong. She will not apologize right away, due to the fact of being in the ‘wrong,’ so it's useless to expect an apology as soon as she realizes her mistake. Eventually, however, she will apologize (she has never not apologized) eventually. Otherwise, the guilt would keep eating and eating at her and she would just snap (this can lead to manipulation). She will break down in tears and beg for your forgiveness, if she waits too long. She is also soft and easily trusts and feels empathy for almost anyone.

fatal flaw
She can be extremely stubborn in some cases and especially naive. Her hyperactivity leads to narcolepsy.

talents
Nemo competes in several sports, including (but not limited to) competitive ice-skating, swimming and tennis. She loves to sing, act and dance like a toddler like herself might. She also loves to manipulate the older campers into doing what she wants (she's just to cute).

history
On a cold December night--okay, no, nothing was cold and it certainly wasn’t night. It was a Friday, like no other day, which just happened to be one little girl’s birth, in Los Angeles. The father, a young college student, was dumped with the duties of having to take care of an infant. Chord, his name, regretted ever having to take care of Bridget. Bridget was cursed (or at least she believed she was) and that curse was obedience. She did everything anyone ever told her--and by the time she was seven years, in winter 2003, she was sick of it. Ryann, the one whom was so obedient, she had to (she was given no choice) follow everyone’s orders, snapped. Anyone who knew of this “ability” took complete advantage of her. They tortured, hurt, abused and embarrassed her, which was too much for a little seven-year-old girl.

Bridget Ryann ran away after finding out Sienna wasn‘t her real mother, thus attempting suicide by drinking antifreeze. It was the summer of 2004, when she was only seven years of age. After several more years of experiencing attempted rape, kidnapping and starvation, a family took in a twelve-year-old Bridget, where she had found that one of their children was her long-lost sibling (after Ryann lied about her name--she called herself “Diana”--and found pictures of old family reunions). Ryann couldn’t handle the pressure and knowledge, so she broke down in another suicide attempt, by cutting her wrists (she needed fourteen stitches). Now, a fourteen-year-old girl, has arrived at camp, but no one’s really noticed because of her ploy--she’s invisible (okay, not literally).

physical appearance
From Bridget Ryann’s behind, she stands out in a crowd--yet in a 'fish out of water' way. Her blonde tresses found the balance between sleek and wavy, and is usually covered (loosely) by a black barrette. She has a smooth, milky white complexion, being quite pale. After prolonged exposure to the sun, Ryann neither tans nor sunburns, staying frigidly pale. She has long ballerina legs, even though she’s only five-foot-three, which she accentuates by wearing high-waisted, floral skirts. She has subtle curves, which you have to squint to see appropriately, which she’d much rather have the stick-straight, thin figure--but, you know, girls are never happy with their appearances; so self-conscious.

Turn Ryann around. She has almond-shaped olive eyes. Her full lashes and average, natural brows are only slightly darker. Ryann always looks wide-eyed and surprised. Her face is heart-shaped, curving off at her chin. Her mouth and eyes are very prominent, while her mouth is petite and her lips are average. She has normally high cheekbones with dimples that are forever seen since she‘s always smiling--fake or not. She had only recently gotten her retainer and braces off and she doesn’t have to wear glasses (thank you contacts). She’ll wear practically anything will be wearing the newest fashion item released because that’s how she is--she expresses herself through fashion. Her small ears and are usually shielded (by her hair or barrettes) or her hair is tucked behind. She has perfectly high cheekbones, leading people to think she's much more mature than her actual age might suggest. Flip-flops, sandals and high-top (occasionally low-top) Nike's and Converse usually adorn her tiny feet. She strays from the normal camp gear as much as possible.

personality
First off, she’s obedient--extremely. Her story is a replica of the movie Ella Enchanted for comparison. She is forced--let that be clear--to do everything she’s ever been told, so she’s easily susceptible to manipulation. Ryann is very much of a wallflower, being shy and rarely willing to expose herself and leap out of her shell. She’ll glue herself to the walls, feeling awkward near people. From her appearance, one would think she's some flawless girl, but they're dead wrong. Once they find out about her "curse," they use it to their advantage. Ryann doesn't comprehend basic human interaction, another flaw from the somewhat of a curse.

Ryann sees the world in a phantasmal way, often confusing reality with fantasy, being the observant girl she is. She strays on the outside, until she feels comfortable enough to join in. She finds everything to be oddly fascinating. Her infatuation with wonder comes off as childish, putting many off. Some, though, find her general excitement about life to be endearing.

She isn’t usually one to start a conversation, unless she really has a question to ask or is speaking to a person in her close-knit circle of friends. Ryann has never had so many friends though. She rarely lives life on the edge, preferring her comfort zone.

When Rye really opens up to someone, it’s hard to tell that if she is really the ecstatic, happy little girl like she puts off to be. It’s not uncommon to hear her humming a upbeat tone as she walks by on the way to the arena, or to see her simply watching clouds by the lake. She may love living life, but this depression puts her in a pathetic mood most of the time. Ryann loves living life, no matter the company she’s with or the situation she’s in. She’s learned to take everything in stride, only to keep her past behind her, covered.
