Walking up to the stables, I looked at Anstice curiously. "What do you have in mind?"

I bit my lip for a moment. "Er, pegasus race?" I suggested, saying the first thing that came to mind.

"Alright," I said, hiding my grimace from him. I wasn't too big a fan of pegasi, I preferred normal horses actually, but it was an okay idea so I didn't reject it. Climbing onto a nearby pegasus that was white, I smiled slightly at him.

I jumped onto a chestnut one, smiling back a bit, but shuttered also. I hated heights, flying, etc. I just had to suggest it, didn't I?

Taking a deep breath, I tried to smile confidently to myself and succeeded. I would be alright. "Ready?"

"Y-Yeah," I said, nodding nervously. I took a few breaths, trying to reassure myself.

"Okay go!" I said, patting my pegasus' side hoping that it would understand. It did. Holding on it for dear life, I grimaced and but looked at Anstice. "Where are we racing to?!" I asked, hoping that I didn't sound too terrified.

"T-To...that t-tree!" I said, pointing to one in the distance. I cursed myself in my head for the nervous stuttering. I held on with vice-grip hands, and looked over at Melinda, wondering how she could stand it.

"Alright." I said, biting my lip. The pegasus was really pretty though, so I focused on it. Murmuring encouragement to it, I forced myself to whoop gleefully at the wind rushing at me. "ALRIGHT." I said, a bit more confidently now, patting my pegasus to go faster.

I clenched my eyes, and took a deep breath. "Go, go, go," I murmured to the pegasus. I rubbed the pegasi's mane. "GO GO GO!" I said a bit louder.

Grinning at Anstice, I sped off to the tree, while making sure that he was there, and told my pegasus to touch down here. "Who won?" I asked, getting off a bit eagerly.

I opened my eyes, letting out a sigh. "I'm not sure," I said, taking my glasses off and cleaning them with my shirt.

"This one's a tie then." I said, dropping onto the grass and petting the pegasus. I fished through my pockets and brought out a packet of rather sugary candy. I bought candy at every chance I got because my father was loaded with money and often had some on my person. My father often complained that I got too many cavities when I was seven, just before I had come here.

Unwrapping one, I popped it in my mouth and chewed the strawberry flavoured candy almost angrily at the thought before smiling and apologizing to the pegasus, promising sugar cubes later. I shook the bag as a silent offering to Anstice.

I laughed, and took one, putting it in my mouth. "It's been forever since I've had candy. My stepmom says it's the devil's food," I said, rolling my eyes at the thought.

"Devil, shmevil." I grunted, shaking the bag more. "Take some more then, I'm going to fatten you up." I said, laughing and taking another myself.

I laughed some more, and took a few more pieces, savoring the one I already had in my mouth. "Delicious..." I murmured. "Yeah, actually, it's been a while since I've had anything with real sugar..."

"Are you serious? So you've had like, fake sugar? Like splenda? EAT MORE, I SAY." I said, gaping and shoving the bag towards him. "TAKE IT ALL."

I kept laughing. "No, no, I couldn't take it all..." I said, but took a few more pieces.

Laughing, I grinned at him. "Alright then." I said, unwrapping another one and popping it in my mouth. "Last chance, you could take it all. One bag of candies, Anstice. Deal or no deal?" I said, morphing my voice to sound like a talk-show host's.

"Fine, fine, fine," I said, taking it. "I can't wait to eat all this," I said in an evil voice, then began laughing, sticking another candy in my mouth.

"Yes yes," I said, nodding. "Nobody can resist it." I said, looking through my pockets again and bringing out a smaller bag of candy. "I have like, the mother lode of candy." I said, unwrapping one and popping it in my mouth. Green apple, yum.

I shook my head. "You're rather odd for a daughter of Aphrodite," I said, and laughed.

"Like, whatever." I said in an obnoxious teenage girl voice, rolling my eyes at him and flipping my hair and taking out a compact to fake looking at myself. "Oh my gods, like, do you know what Amber said to me last week? It was like, seriously shocking." I said, blinking a lot for emphasis. "Like, she said that Ashley was doing the most stupid thing, she was saying 'oh my josh' just because she was dating some guy named Josh. Isn't that like, the most stupid thing ever?" I asked, bringing out the r in the ever.

Then I grinned at him. "Do you think that I over did it there?" I asked in my normal voice, laughing.

"Ya," I said, widening my eyes. "I didn't think that that was possible from you. Like, at all," I said, making the last sentence sound as feminine as possible.

"I know right. Anyways, let's discuss something more important," I said in my serious teenage girl voice. "Do these jeans make my butt look fat?"
