I stood in the amphitheater with nothing to do. I saw a guitar and picked it up. I started playing it. Too bad there was no one to sing with. That would make playing the guitar fun I looked around for anyone and there was no one.

Minna took a deep breath and forged inside the amphitheatre.
She hoped someone wouldn't be there, but hey, she was wrong. She paused, having double thoughts. Should I go? Should I back out? But Minna really wanted to try out a lyre. She sighed, and picked up a dusty lyre and held it awkwardly. Taking a deeper breath, she began thrumming the strings. The sound echoed through the place, and Minna closed her eyes.
Just then, another tune came up. Sweet, guitar melody. Minna stopped her music and started searching for the sound. There she saw blond guy, in his sixteens, playing a guitar. Minna pursed her lips, and sat again, not wanting to make talk.
"He's good," she mumbled before resuming her music.

I looked up when I heard the door open. It was a girl who looked like my age. She was really pretty. I continued playing the guitar, but really lowly. If she was going to play another tune I didn't want to mess her up. I smiled at her. "Hi." I said.

Minna closed her eyes more tightly upon hearing the guy's voice. Was he speaking to her? Does he know Minna? Anyway, she put on a few more notes before putting down the lyre, and glancing momentarily at the guy.
He was okay, Minna thought. Blond hair, Minna wasn't sure if she had seen him in camp. He could be a son of Aphrodite. A few more silent moments passed before Minna said, "Hello" back. She frowned, and began absently fiddling her scarf. Minna crossed her legs, and the lyre fell to the ground.
"Stupidity," the daughter of Mania muttered angrily.

I picked up the lyre for her. You always have to be a gentleman. I smiled. "Here you go." I said. I put the lyre on the table and the guitar down on the floor. "I'm Liam, son of Ares. And who might you be?" I said. I put out my hand for her to shake it.

Minna looked at him, surprised. He sure does not look like he belong to Cabin 5. Was he lying? She stared at him, suspicious. Was he joking? Minna then looked next at his hand. With a surprised expression, she shook his hand. Once, then quickly dropped it.
"Thanks," Minna said, nodding at the lyre on the table. "My name is.... Minna. Minna Rownes, daughter of Mania." Minna glanced tentatively at Liam. "Yeah, call me Minna. Pleased to meet you, Liam." The daughter of Mania now smiled warmly at Liam, her mood swings activated again.

Minna grinned.
She ran her hand through her blond hair, and let it loose. She thought for a moment about Liam's offer. She smiled warmly, and picked up the lyre. She glanced warily at Liam, sending a silent yes. She thrummed the strings and began the harmony.
This is nice, Minna thought. She's been talented with music and instruments ever since, but not gotten a chance to enhance it. Now she can.
"Nice to meet you too," Minna murmured after a while..

I started strumming my guitar to the harmony. This was nice. I really enjoyed music and now I got to share it with someone else. When the harmony ended I didn't know what to do. Start a new harmony? Leave? I decided to start getting my mouth moving. "Minna, Would you like to go on a date with me?" I asked.

Minna stopped her music and shot a stunned glare at Liam.
Was he serious? Minna narrowed her eyes suspiciously and carefully put down the lyre. She slowly crossed her arms and her legs and leaned back against the table. Her head jerked sideways to the blond guy holding the guitar. So sudden. Minna thought that Liam was just acting out of first sight. She pursed her lips, but not able to contain her suspicion.
"Are you serious? We've just met," Minna told Liam. "I don't know a thing about you. And vice versa." Minna's tone dissolved reason and grew suspicion. Was this guy planning something?

She stood up and walked to Liam. "Okay," Minna said, raising her eyebrows. "What about you tell me about you, first?" The daughter of Mania took a deep breath touched Liam's shoulder. She smiled and gestured for him to sit.

I sat down. "Well, I lived in Italy and I have 1 brother and 1 sister. My mom died from pneumonia and my dad ran away. Then my sister and brother and I went to foster home. Then a hell hound attacked when I was taking a walk in the park with my sister and then I ended up here." I said. I sighed. "What about you?" I asked.

Minna sighed deeply and looked at Liam.
"What're the things you like?" she pressed. Minna adjusted her scarf, feeling a little too warm. After a while, she pulled it loose and slung it over her shoulders. Minna began absently rolling and unrolling the warm scarf. "Me... oh, you know. I'm just a calm maniac. I hate... racists and, oh, and glass, too." She glanced at Liam, pretty sure that he'd find her crazy. But it's true. She's not giving any vital information to this certain son of Ares until she knew him, and trusted him, which could get a while. Minna does not trust one completely.
She looked above, to the calm, night sky. It glittered with stars, and she sighed again softly.
