Going to Meet the Parent {James and Kar}

"Wilton Lakes Park. It's beautiful at this time of the day." I smiled as swung our hands as we walked.

When we reached the park, the sun was just sitting on the horizon. I pulled James towards a hill and layed down. I snuggled up to him.

He leaned in and kissed her, strong and passionately. He sat up, bringing Kar with him. He looked at the sunset and commented, "Beautiful sunset. But still not as beautiful as you." and then went back down to making out with her.

İ smiled against his lips. I ran my hands through his hair.

When we separated I said " so, now I'm sixteen" I was smiling. one year until we could get married at camp half blood.

"Well then," I say, picking a flower off of the ground next to her. I put it in her hair and say, "Happy birthday to you..." then I kiss her again, long and hard. "So, when do you want the wedding?" We had a year to plan it, and we should at least have a date.

"Well, I would like it to be in May sometime." I smiled. Wedding. Only one more year. Sixteen and already engaged.

"Alright cool." I say, kissing her again on her neck for a while, then get up. I walk over to the swing, and get on. I start swinging gently. "You coming?" I say offering her the seconds swing. George always told me to not be afraid to act like a kid.

I jumped up and stood on the swing.

"I bet I can jump farther then you off the swing." I smiled. A challenge. Yay.

You're on. I had more weight than her, so it was in my favor, but I'd let her win anyway. At one point while swinging, we locked up perfectly swinging next to each other. I held her hand and then said, "Ewww... get out of my shower!" imitating a little kid and laughing.

I laughed then when the time was right, I jumped.

I flewed through the air, my hair wipped through the wind.

I landed around ten feet away.

"See if you can do any better." I smirked.

I laughed and said, "Okay, but loser has to kiss the winner. Ok?" He saw her nod, and then jumped. Landing about a foot behind Kar. "Woops," I say kissing her, "Looks like I lost."

"Does the winner have to kiss the loser too?" I say smiling before kissing him. I grab his hand walk over to the railing, separating us from a plunge into Wilton Lake. I jumped over the railing and into the water. It was cold. I surfaced and looked up at James. I waved.

At look at her and laugh, and then jump in after her. As I hit the water, my body froze almost immediately. I swam over to her, kissed her, and went underwater, dragging her with me. The feeling was astounding. Knowing how cold the water all around me was, but feeling so warm inside. We were kissing underwater.

We separated and swam to the surface for air.

I turned to James and smiled. "You know we're not supposed to swim here." I laughed.

I swam over to a big rock and climbed up on it. I patted a spot next to me for James.

I sit on the rock and kiss her again. "Who says what we can and can't do?" I say breaking apart again. "What are we going to tell your dad when we come home soaked?" And as if an answer from the gods, it started to rain.

"Well, I guess we don't need explanation. We should probably get home for dinner soon though. I have to make it so what do you feel like for dinner. I was thinking somewhere along the lines of finger foods and college football." I smiled. "I have a admiration for college football."

Well, I never really liked sports, but I did like finger food. "Alright, you know any places?" I say, kissing her again. The rain felt great, especially on my leg, despite the cold night.

"How bout we go home and I can make some finger foods." I smiled.

I've been smiling alot lately. Maybe James had that affect on me. I don't know. Anyway. back to food.

"Sounds good." I say. My clothes are now drying a bit, and the rain has stopped. I grab her hand and start walking in the direction we came. I swing our hands slightly as we walk.

"Good. We can have lots of things. Even my favorite; Monzerella Sticks." I smiled.

When we reached my porch I took out my key and unlocked the door. I walked straight towards the freezer and grabbed boxes of hot wings and several other finger foods.

I walked into the living room, looking around for her dad. It was only 7. "Hey, Kar. Where did your dad go?" I say, picking up the remote and turning the TV to football. I sit down on the couch, turning the lamp next to me on.

"Umm, I don't know. Let's look for him. " I ran up the stairs towards his bedroom.

When I opened the door I saw my dad and a girl kissing. They separated and looked at me.

"Kar.."

I was already outside the house by the time he had said that. I sat down on the porch steps. Tears streaming down my face.

The door opened.

I ran out real fast. I tripped up a bit when I saw Kar, few I think to myself I didn't want that to happen again. Kar was crying on the steps, so I sat next to her and wrapped my arm around her, "Shhh... what's the matter?" I say softly.

"M-m-my dad. He's making out with some woman in his bedroom." I wiped my tears. "He should have mentioned that he had a girlfriend or something. He's a-a-a...I can't think."

I was filled with rage immediately. Calm down. a voice said in my head, but it wasn't mine, or my mother's. It was a woman's voice as sweet as cherries and warm as rolls. You'll never marry her with a temper like that.
I couldn't tell who it was, but I had a hunch. Just stick there, and console her. No immediate action needs to be taken. said my mother.
"It's okay," I say hugging her tightly, "It'll be okay."

"He said he would never...." I buried my face in James' chest. I heard a woman screaming and my dad telling her to calm down. I cried even harder. The door opened again and the women ran out with her dress shirt unbuttoned and her hair tangled and matted to hell. She squatted in front of me.

"I'm sorry dear, I had no idea."

"It's alright. I'm mad at my dad."
