| I looked around at the cabins. "Isn't this supposed to be a camp?" I said out loud to no one in particular. The first two cabins could not even be grouped under the title cabin. They were grand marble structures, one slightly pink. Those two were the grandest by far but the others didn't exactly follow far behind. They were giant and beautiful...One of them was ice for god's sakes! "What the hell is wrong with this place? Am I the only one who realizes that this looks nothing like a camp? Not that I object exactly..." I thought. This would most definitely take some getting used to. These people were so unrefined and rustic. I knew this would be a major learning experience for me ((Sucky post sucks!)) | |

| I was sitting on a very uncomfortable wooden bench in the middle of the courtyard. There were other benches in front of me, arranged in a circle around a dried-out camp fire. It was mid-day and the sun shone harshly on the camp as sounds of swords clashing and Pegasus flying filled the air.
Usually I wouldn't just sit around doing nothing, but on the other hand, I had many brothers that were completely capable of taking care of the Armory while I was gone. I sat back, not really focused on anything. I watched a Pegasus swoop down overhead, with an Iris camper on it's back, laughing.
Then, I almost jumped out of my seat. Iris! I had totally forgotten that I promised my mo...Oh. Right. I closed my eyes, trying to forget the fact that my mom had died trying to get me to camp safely. She was so brave, and if only I hadn't run through the camp borders already, I might have been able to save her.
I tried hard to forget what had happened. I opened my eyes again, and stared at the grass, which was perfectly green, and never taller than an inch and a half.

| I realized I looked like an idiot standing there alone. I needed to do something or find someone to talk to. Looking around I saw the guy I had ordered a weapon from earlier this morning sitting on the bench in the courtyard. "Excuse me, sir, do you mind me sitting here?" I asked politely, wondering if he would remember me. I had altered my facial features again. My lips were a light coral now and my eyes were a lavender color. My hair was a bit lighter as well. My sister had always liked my eyes lavender. She said it made me look like a goddess. That was mostly why I had changed them. Changing my facial features wasn't really something I did often, I had make up for that, but it was necessary today. My make up had been stolen. "Don't think about that Kelyn! Your going to get horribly depressed and start crying in front of this nice gu[y!" she reprimanded herself mentally. ((Sorry they are so short right now!)) | |

| I looked up, hearing a familiar voice. As I studied the character, I found she didn't exactly jog my memory. The face didn't match the voice, though I was pretty sure I had heard her before.
"Uh, sure," I said, politely. I scooted over, giving her more room on the bench.
When she sat down, I could study her face a little closer. She had shocking, in a good way, lavender eyes and she had a lighter brown hair color. Suddenly, the memory came back to me of the brief meeting from the armory.
"Oh, hey! I remember you! You ordered a weapon, right?" I asked. I felt kind of bad that I couldn't remember her name, but I guessed I could ask for it when we got to the armory. She had looked so different then, and I wondered how she could do that. Then, I realized that it was quite simple. She must have been the daughter of Aphrodite, or I was seriously mistaken.
Calming down a bit, I regarded her again. "If you did, I'm pretty sure I finished it," I told her. "Would you like to come get it?" I asked, standing to my full height. I hoped my features didn't look too intimidating as they usually did. I was seriously a nice guy, so I hoped she would stick around to find that out.

| I sat down crossing her ankles and folding them under the bench in a proper manner. Biting down on my lip I watched him study me. I could tell he recognized me vaguely but not completely. Probably due to changing my hair and eyes... I laughed slightly when recognition crossed his face. "Yes, I did," I said in my soft voice, "Already? Well, I suppose I ought to..." I commented reluctantly. My hope had been that it would take a few days for it to be completed, but it just wasn't to be. I sighed and looked up at him. He was a rather tall and intimidating man but I decided it wouldn't be right of me to judge him yet. I was above that. Standing up, I smiled sweetly and motioned for him to lead the way. "You must be really good at what you do! I thought it would take at least a week for it to be completed. You must be a son of the blacksmith god or whatever, huh?" I said trying to remember the gods name. My father had told me the basics before I came but I couldn't remember a majority of it right now. What was that name? Hermes? No. That was the thief god. Hestia? Wait, that was a goddess. Hephaestus? Yeah! That was it | |

| I nodded, and began to lead the way. As I walked toward the Armory, I twitched as she said 'blacksmith god or whatever'. I don't know why, but I kind of got a bit mad, but as we entered the armory, I let it go.
The place was super hot from the steam and the fires blazing all over the place. I figured if she found it too hot, she would just wait outside. I began to examine the shelves and the weapons wracks. There were weapons from swords all the way to flails. The fire made the light dance on the walls, giving the weapons an eerie look to them.
"Aha!" I commented. I picked up a weapon, and examined it for a moment. "Yep," I confirmed. "This is it." I held it out to her. It was a basic celestial bronze sword that was pretty well balanced, and had intricate designs and beautiful markings.
I blushed, remembering why I had taken the liberty of doing that. When she first arrived to place the order, I had guessed right away she was the daughter of Aphrodite, or Eros. I had hoped my guess was correct, and engraved the designs just to give the sword a more personal look to it for her.
"Try it out," I told her. "Don't worry. The metal has cool off quite a bit. I don't think it would burn you," I said, trying to comfort her, but I realized soon that this might have frightened the newcomer even more, into thinking that this was an intensely brutal camp.

| I followed him quietly, realizing I may have offended him slightly. I really didn't mean to, I was just a bit naive about it all still. When we got to the armory it was like a blast of hot air from inside but I followed him anyways. I had to admit to a bit of curiosity. It was beautiful in an odd way. The way the fire danced across blades and walls. It was a bit eerie but beautiful at the same time. I wondered if the layout had been designed for that purpose. Most likely not. It was probably just an coincidence. When he held it out I took it rather reluctantly. I analyzed it carefully, taking in all the details the way I would a potential new jacket. "It's beautiful!" I complimented him with a smile. "I can't believe you did all this," I said shaking my head. His comment about trying it out caught me off guard a bit. "Oh no, um...maybe later. I'm not really good at that stuff. I might accidentally hurt someone," I said turning a bit red. If this camp was some kind of brutal fighting camp I was not gong to fit in what so ever. | |

| I nodded. I may look big, and I was pretty bulky, but my hands were actually pretty good at working with delicate things. It took time, but it wasn't too hard to make the carvings.
"It's okay," I told her. "You don't have to try it out right here. But when you're not using it, you may want to do this," I said, reaching over and pressing on the face of a girl the was near the far left of the hilt. As soon as my finger touched the face, the sword changed shape. It retracted until it was nothing more than a small key, that could also be used to open almost, almost, any lock.
I grinned. "It works," I said, pretty glad. I didn't want to test it before I gave it to her because I wanted to see it for the first time as well as the shocked look on her face. Look, face, different. The key. Keywords. I wasn't the best scholar, but I could catch the clues I had laid for myself.
"What's your name?" I asked. I knew it was kind of an out of the blue question, but I had to figure it out sometime. Why not now?

| I was immensely relieved when he said I didn't have to do it just then. I watched as he pressed on a face on the hilt and suddenly I was holding a key in my hand. My jaw dropped and I looked up at him in awe. "H-how...how did you d-do that?" I stuttered out my question confused. I was amazed and shocked and confused. I realized he asked me a question then and tried to remember what it was he had asked. "Huh? Oh, my name?" I said like a dumb idiot, "I'm Tabitha Kelyn, but the only person who has ever called me Tabitha is my grandmother. And your name, sir?" I asked, turning the conversation back to him as was polite. I realized it was rather rude to have not inquired about his identity sooner and my cheeks reddened. How embarrassing! I didn't understand why it turned into a key of all things. What was the key for? | |

| I ruffled my hair, and took a step outside. It was getting a little too hot in there, even though I was used to it. As soon as I stepped outside, a refreshing breeze blew against me.
"Oh, just a bit of magic, and some great handy work," I answered. "Now that key is also enchanted to mold into the shape of most locks. Some don't work, and it doesn't work on those cyber lock pads," I informed her. Then, I blushed. "Sorry if this is overwhelming," I told her. I knew she was knew.
I scratched my arm, and looked at the key. IT was one of the best inventions I had made yet. I hoped my dad was proud, and I grinned just thinking about it.
"Err," I said, coming back to my senses. I bet she thought I had forgotten my name. "I'm Kyle. Kyle Storm," I said. My eyes studied her unique appearance which somehow only made it more beautiful. Then, a thought popped up.
"If you ever need any training lessons, come to the Hephaestus cabin, and ask for me," I told her. "I would be more than glad to help. And I want to see you again I added silently in my head.

| I stepped out of the armory, starting to walk back to the courtyard with him {since that is where it is posted XD} Maybe having a weapon wouldn't be so bad if it was also a magic key. "Thank you Kyle! It's incredibly overwhelming but I am good with stress. My magic key should help me get through my first few days though, thanks to you! I'm sure your father is very proud to have such a talented, amazing son like you," I told him truthfully. I wasn't one to lie or exaggerate things. I always said what I meant and meant what I said. I analyzed him a bit more closely before. He was handsome to say the least, a heartthrob at best. Probably had girls lined up. He was talented, easy on the eyes, and so sweet. She wouldn't ever have a chance with anyone like him. "Are you sure? I'm not exactly fighting material...and I flip out when ever anybody gets injured so it might not be as fun as you imagine it would be!" I smiled and laughed. My eyes started to change to a deeper purple. I didn't have complete control of it so sometimes when I was extremely happy or upset they would change without my knowing or doing. | |

| I smiled at the compliments. For some reason, I felt like this wasn't just 'one of those things you say', I felt like it was genuine. I felt better walking out than I did walking in.
I nodded. "Yeah! It would be cool to try and make at least one Aphrodite camper good for this, no offense of course." Though, without knowing it, it probably sounded offensive. I hesitated, and tried to lighten the mood once more. "If you come and let me help, maybe you can teach me how not to fall off one of those Pegasus some time," I chuckled.
As I watched, she was studying me again. I looked into her eyes...just to see what was going on, I swear! They seemed to be turning a deeper purple color. It was kind of weird, but at the same time, cool. I guessed that was why I couldn't tell who she was at first. Maybe she was able to change her appearance.
"So, I guess I will see you around!" I said. I felt like this meeting was cut a little short, but I didn't mind as long as I got to see her again. "Make sure you take good care of the key, and remember," I said, pointing to a bronze looking cabin with gears and spare parts scattered around, "That is where I will be if you need any help." Then, I turned, and began to walk away, but not too quickly, in case she had any last-minute questions.

| I smiled when he said it would be cool to teach an Aphrodite kid. It sounded a bit offensive but I had a feeling he didn't mean it in that manner. Some people just weren't as good with words. Usually everything just flowed but not today, with Kyle. Kyle seemed nice enough. "It would be cool to have him teach me. I might not like fighting but it would certainly be good to at least know..." I thought. "Yeah, definitely, I will see you later," I said wishing it wasn't such a short meeting. I turned and tucked the key into my back pocket. I got a whole step in before something registered in my mind. "Woah, now! Hold on just a moment!" I almost demanded turning and closing the distance. I grabbed his arm and turned him to face me. "I did not just hear you say 'Pegasus', did I? I've been pretty accepting up until now but you can't honestly expect me to believe pegasus actually exist. That's not funny, Kyle!" I reprimanded him. Like I mentioned earlier, it is one thing to accept a myth as truth but something entirely different to live it. Pegasus? Honestly, how was I supposed to believe there were flying horses at this camp? That was absolute nonsense! I wouldn't believe him with out proof. I couldn't. I didn't know it but my eyes have darkened to almost a black color and my hair had lighted ever so slightly to more of a blonde with reddish highlights. That was what happened when my emotions were all mixed up... | |

| I turned to face her, still smiling. The smile disappeared though, after I realized she was angry with me. I hadn't done anything wrong, had I? What was wrong with the Pegasus.
"Y-yeah," I stuttered, shuffling my feet nervously. "I'm not making fun of you, I'm serious," I told her, quietly. If I was an Aphrodite camper, I would be pretty psyched to see a Pegasus. I didn't really understand what the problem was.
"Would you like me to show you the stables?" I asked quietly, shoving my hands in my pockets. OOC: Sorry it's short, I sort of ran out of Ideas :O

| OOC: It is totally cool :) "Oh my gosh you are serious!" I suddenly left really bad, "Sorry, I didn't mean to yell at you. My behavior was unacceptable and it won't happen again," I said mechanically in the manner I had been taught. I had behaved way out of line and made him totally uncomfortable. I really felt awful. "No, it's okay, I'm really sorry. It's just a lot to take in. It's one thing to accept a myth as truth but I'm living it now. You've been really helpful and so sweet, you didn't deserve that," I said starting to feel a bit nauseous. | |

| I noticed she was apologizing a lot now. I didn't really want to make her feel bad, and this was probably a bunch to take in on the first day. I thought back to my first day, the memory kind of hazy. I realized I had already found out the myths were real well before I had gotten to camp.
"Hey, it's no problem," I said comfortingly, smiling warmly. "If you have any questions I would be happy to answer them," I told her. I felt bad for overwhelming her with information, and so I decided I would give her some space.
"Well, see ya," I said, giving a small wave. "Hope you have fun, and honestly," I added with a grin. "You will love the Pegasus. Bye now," I said, turning on my heel once again to go back to my cabin.

| "Thank you!" I said with a smile walking back to the bench. he was so nice and took everything so gracefully. If that was any indication to this father's temperament, his father must be really popular with the ladies. Suddenly I remembered his father was married to my mother. And my mother openly cheated on him. I felt ashamed of my mother. She must be rather shallow to cheat on him because he wasn't as beautiful as herself. "I hope I'm never that shallow," I muttered | |

| OOC: Yup! I took a deep breath and knocked on the door to the Hephaestus cabin. Today Kyle and I were going to the stables together. I was a little more than frightened but I had been here a full three days now. It was time for me to see these Pegasus. I took a step back and waited for someone to answer. | |

| I looked up from my tinkering, as there was a very quiet knock at the door. I had been silently building this mini-chariot for the last hour or so. I sort of lost track of time when I built things.
"Could someone get that?" I grunted, looking back down at my work. I squinted, trying to see the small bolt that I was trying to fit into the wheel. One of my brothers trotted up to the door and opened it.
I looked up to see who it was, and I saw a girl standing there. "Kelyn!" I greeted, standing up. I noticed she had changed her features again, but not much. As I stood, my knee bumped clumsily onto the table and the whole small chariot fell apart. I stomped angrily. "Dangit!" I brushed the pieces into the trash can, and went over to the door.
"Hey," I greeted, hoping she wouldn't laugh at me for being so clumsy. "What's up?" I asked, brushing off my hands on a towel, that I threw onto the table I had been working with the chariot on.

| "Hello, is Kyle here?" I asked the boy who opened the door. He stepped out of the way in time for me to see Kyle stand up to greet me and knock something off the table. It appeared to be some kind of tiny carriage or chariot. "Hi Kyle, I was wondering if you would come to the stables with me...?I've been here three days so I figured it's time I went to see a Pegasus. And maybe afterwards you could help me with some sword fighting some?" I turned a bit red at the last part, "I have training tomorrow and I don't want to look completely dumb...What were you working on?" | |

| I nodded. The change in her appearance was slight. She had dark eyes, and light blonde hair with orange highlights, I think. I stepped outside, probably a little too quickly. I didn't want to come off as desperate for something to do.
"Yeah, sure. Sounds fun," I said. "I will lead the way. I frowned at her next question, but the frown was faint, so I hoped she didn't notice. "Err, it was just a model for something," I said, waving my hand dismissively. "Don't worry," I told her. "C'mon! I'll show you the Pegasus," I said, beginning to walk down the steps of the porch and towards the stables.OOC: Did you say you made a topic in the stables, or are we gonna continue in this topic??
