I pulled out my cell and the letter to check the coordinates one last time. The phone was dead, but I had to be close.Pulling my long black hair into a ponytail, I walked forward through the thin viel of trees until I came to a clearing with a single pine tree. There was a sign with odd symbols that I was somehow able to understand- Welcome to Camp Halfblood, it read. "I guess this is it," I mumbled to myself. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and stepped past the tree. I wandered what looked like some summer/military training camp. Everything looked pretty normal. then a saw him (it?). A man... except it wasn't quite a man. He had the body of a horse. I squeaked in surprise. I walked quickly in the opposite direction until I found what looked like a store. I stumbled in, hoping to find someone who could help me

I walked with Brandon wondering what the Hermes cabin would be like. I'd never actually been to a camp before. I always thought it was just way too dirty of a thing to concern myself with. After all I did need to look good for the press. However, there was no press here and they would never be able to find this place so I supposed that I wouldn't have to worry about that kind of thing anymore.

I opened the door to the Hermes cabin, "here it is, your temporary home. And keep your hand on your wallet or anything that you value alot. This is the hermes cabin. Kids here tend steal." I giggled and said, "Umm, hi. Like you heard, I'm Amelia, Amelia Rosery, you may have heard of me. I'm a ice sculptor and a painter. I have a few well-known works. Don't worry I won't be staying long. Well... if my mom claims me that is..." To be honest I didn't really feel comfortable here. It was way too stuffy in this room and I felt like I was in an oven which I normally feel similar to being in an oven but I would have liked my home to be a little bit more on the colder side.

I smiled and said, "Thank you so much. That's really nice of you."Maybe I was wrong about this place. I set my stuff down but since I had heard that these people enjoyed stealing things I surrounded my belongings in a casing of unbreakable ice. I then said, "Alright I'm ready to go check out the rest of the camp. I walked over to Brandon and placed my arm around his waist. Wow, it felt good having him so close to me. I could get used to this.

I know , hormonal, but I couldn't help it. But Taylor didnt answer me, she just smirked. I walked out of the Hermes cabin. "So, lets go to the armory. You need a weapon." I told her.

I shook my head and said, "I already have weapons." I summoned my ice chakram to my hands and said, "Can't I just use these?" I didn't understand what was wrong with using what I already had. Or did he forget that I already had weapons?

You need a sword, dagger, bow anything that feels comfortable. Sometimes your powers waer you out. And, you need to train too. Like just now, You couldn't work your powers fast enough. Youre not going to lucky every time. I told her. I walked in the armory.

I shrugged my shoulders and said, "I guess you're right." I made my chakram vanish and then walked with him inside of the armory. I looked around at all of the weapons. I was more of a long range person so I was definitely going to choose a bow. However, which bow I wasn't sure of. I looked around and then my eyes got set on a very special bow in particular that seemed to be calling to me. I walked over to it and picked it up. A surge of power ran through my hands as I did so and I for some reason felt more confident.

I smiled and said to Brandon, "Sure. I fastened my bow and quiver of arrows to my back and followed him to the lake. I was thinking about something. I asked, "Doesn't one of the gods or goddesses, Artemis, I think it is, have something to do with hunting?"

I smiled as Brandon placed his arm around my waist. As I walked with him to the lake I said to him, "I'm really grateful you saved me back there. If you hadn't... I'd probably be dead right now..." The severity of the situation I had been in finally hit me and I knew that if he hadn't been there right as I was coming towards the camp I would not be alive right now.

I smiled warmy. "It's nothing. I had to right? I couldn't just watch you die there." I told her. For a moment, there I forgot about her coldness. It's cliche, but I really did like being around her.

I said, "So what would you say if I asked something of you? I umm... kind of like you and I was umm..." I hoped he would finish for me. I was really nervous. This was a big step I was taking but I knew that I wanted to take it. He was the nicest guy I had ever met.

I looked into his eyes and said, "I think I love you and I was wondering if you would like to be my boyfriend." I blushed deep red finally releasing what I truly felt about him. I hoped he wouldn't be upset with me.

I smiled happily and hugged him close saying, "Oh Brandon. Thank you for accepting me. You mean so much to me. I know this sounds silly after only knowing you for a day but never before have I met someone as nice as you are to me." I didn't even care about how hot his body was against mine. It felt good in fact which is something I never thought I would even admit to myself.

I smiled "Shut up." I told her. And I kissed her. I know again, cliche, but it was totally necissary on my part. I think. Her icy cold body felt really good against mine. I wondered if she felt that way. If you wanna get even more cliche, I was in bliss.

I smiled and then something weird happened a blue light began shining above my head that seemed to be in the shape of a cube of ice appeared above my head. I looked up saw it I started freaking out and tried to swat it away. I didn't want my mother to claim me as her own. She didn't deserve it after what she put me through. No matter how hard I tried though, it didn't go away. It just stayed there.

I pulled away. Amelia was being claimed. Really right now? Of all times? I tried to not spaz out. "Looks like youre claimed, we need to tell the camp director, Chiron." I told her. "Follow me." I said as I held her hand. I could tell that she was not happy about it. But I had to tell Chiron about it soon.
