As The City Lights Up [Private;Meg]

"Um..."I stole a look at the bar and noticed two guys ,both heavily soruonded by the mist.I looked back at Del and chuckled."Oh, she was warning me about my curry. They used ghost pepper and she wanted to make sure I knew what I ordered."I said, quickly making it up.I didnt wanna lie to Del but I was hoping the two at the bar would leave without trying anything.I smiled kindly and took a big mouthful of my curry.

I shook my head to answer his question.I mentally facepalmed seing him notice them."Sorry..."I said, my voice barely above a whisper. I continued eating my curry and smlied slightly. Well atleast they werent trying to kill us yet. I still had time to spend time with Del and finish my Curry.

"I love you too."I said,blushing.He knew how to push my buttons.I chuckled, going along with the change of topics."Que bueno.Mines good too."I said,grinning.I stole a quick peek at the bar and sighed in relief noticing that the men were leaving.

I laughed and shook my head."Im hispanic.I learned spanish at home."I said,grinning.I froze hearing a chuckle.I turned casually and noticed that the two hadnt left.Theyd gotten a booth and were dicreetly watching us from across the room.I turned back to Del my face expressionless."Five bucks one of thems gay."I said, chuckling darkly.

I laughed,blushing a bright red."I think it best we try to avoid violence."I said, my hand unconsiouslly going to my left shoulder.Damn curse. I sighed and smiled slightly."Have you eaten one of the gostpeppers yet?"I asked him, taking another mouthful of curry.

I laughed and ate one myself. My face didnt even turn red." Nope.They aint."I said chuckling.I rolled my eyes in anoyance noticing that one of the guys was now directly starring at me."Hey Del...I thinks theres somethin I should tell you..."I said, my fingers drumming across the table nervously.

I watched as Eli consumed one of the peppers. She didn't even blink. Her resistance to spice was absolutely amazing. Sheesh, wondered what she would do if she ate a bunch of jalapenos. I couldn't help but feel something was wrong though. What was making me feel this way? I gave a sly glance in the direction of the guys. One was looking right at my date. Well crap. "Yeah, I would like to know that now before we get involved in a Chinatown brawl." My mind made the mental switch to fight or flight. As of that time frame I was ready to fight in order to protect Eli. Sheesh, I was already acting like the protective boyfriend. I kept my sight on the troublemakers while listening to my girlfriend.

I chuckled." A brawl? That wouldn't be good." I said smirking slightly. But it really wouldnt be good. Who knows how much my curse mark would expan. Oh right.That what I needed to tell him. Stupid ADD. "Del...if you heard that someone had a curse that made them...violent...and deadly... when they were invovled with..um..displeasing matters?...what exactly would you think?" I asked. I'd said each word carefully, trying my best to make it sound theortical. My fingers drummed across the table nervously as I waited for his answer.

I looked at him with a sort of shoked/ confused expression. I really didnt know what to think at this point. I sighed and lifted up my left sleeve, the black omegas that srounded the fiery red circle seemed to glow in cotrast to my pale skin." I ment it literally..." I said, blushing slightly. I was never really open with people and this was all strange to me.

Again I stared at him in shock. He wasn't calling me a frek or a monster. This was a very nice development. I smiled."Personally I have no idea how I got the damn thing. I blacked out, woke up and there it was." I said shrugging.

I laughed too. He was probably the first person to make a joke about it.I leaned forward and kissed him." Wo ai ni." I said sweetly. I blushed noticing the waitress standing there akwardly." The food is good?" she asked. I blushed and sat back down." Yeah, yeah the foods great."

I chuckled." Not by choice." I said, rolling my eyes, "Though it is true that I had more knowledge shoved into my head than any normal person would in elementary school." I said, sighing. I ate some curry and smiled slightly." This is probably the normalest thing I've done since middle school." I said looking at Del.

I laughed and shook my head."The most exiting thing I've ever done...hm..." I drummed my fingers across the table, thinking. I seriuosly did a lot of exciting shiz" Oh. I jumped out a five story windowafter retreiving some info from...lets just say a 'big company with really good connections' and I managed to not get my arse killed by landing on someones ferrari." I said grinning widely. It was probably the most exiting and stupidest thing I'd ever done. I took another mouthful of rice and curry.

I chuckled." If you insist." I said, grinning devileshly. I took a sip of my soda and almost spit it all out noticing who had just walked in. Another guy, heavy mist surrounding him. He joined the two guys sitting in the booth. I growled." Del if we get our arses shot at Im apologizing in advance." I said, burrying my face in my hands.
