(OoC: Through the magic of making time pass randomly by writing it, we are at the beach)
"Well here we are, the beach"
Didn't look like too many people were here. The dance must have died done.... a lot. I was right, by the time we would get here the dance would be dead.

" Yeah " I say, too happy to say anything. The beach made me into a different person, I felt like I was radiant, it gave me confidence and it always made me feel better no matter what.

Maybe I should've asked a Hermes kid to bring soda. I guess its too late for that now. But it's nice to relax without a bunch of people around.

I nod and smile happily. I briefly glance at the water uneasily. When I was little my mom had taken me to the beach and she tried to teach me how to swim except I'd almost drowned and then a few months ago my mom had drowned, so I wasn't to keen on swimming. But a part of me longed to go into the water.

" No I'm fine" I say quickly. I would be fine as long as I stayed away from the water. I wanted to enjoy the beach not fear it. I sit down on the sand and watch the waves. It was high tide, I didn't understand how I knew that but I just did.

I sat down at the sand and looked around. I was half expecting for a crab to show up and pinch me. I wonder if there's buried treasure under all this sand? Nah, probably not, if there was some one would've found it already. Some pirates probably stole it, like my half-brother Blackbeard.....

I stare out at the horizon smiling wistfully. My mother used to take me to the beach when I was younger and we had the best time, most of our memories together had to do with the beach. Sometimes I'd caught my mom staring out at the horizon with a faraway look in her eyes. Then she'd usually catch me watching her and we'd leave.

I smiled at remembered the days when I was a kid. No fighting, and a life of simpleness. That life came with a cost of constant torment and slight emotional scarring. When I came here, I thought life would be easier. I was dead wrong for the most part. Some days were okay and others were great. But other days life was dull and repititve.

Before I came here it was the same routine but it wasn't always the same. Some days would be easy, others challenging and it was different everyday, despite the routine schedule in school.

I ran my fingers through the sand, I laid down on the sand and stared at the sky. To me the sky was always nicer at the beach. It was easier to notice the clouds and everything when your relaxed. So I understood a lot more when I was at the beach because it's the only place that I can actually think.

Like before I knew my dad was a god, she used to tell me stories of how she met my dad. And how he'd fight in all these wars and battles and all. When I got older I started believing the stories about the wars and battles were fake. Turns out those stories were real all right.

I stared at the ocean angrily, it had almost killed me, it had killed my mother, and possibly my father. A month after I was born he left for a cruise with some business partners and he never came back. When my mother had asked his partners about him they had no idea who she was talking about, probably trying to stay away from the drama.

I was slightly confused. I was half lost in thought and half aware of the real world. Why was she so upset? We came to the beach to relax. This made it all the more confusing.

" No I'm fine " I say quickly managing a smile, I didn't want to ruin our time at the beach by being grumpy, but still it was hard to forget the past and it was hard to not hold grudges against the ocean.

I'm probably imagining things. I started to draw in the sand. I wasn't drawing anything in particular. Just a bunch of random lines in the sand.

Whenever I was at the beach I always felt puzzled about one memory, when I was little I used to think that I could control water, and a few days ago I realized I was slightly moving the water in a tide pool and it really bothered me. I watch him draw in the sand and smile " what are you drawing" I ask, it looked like it was just a bunch of lines but ya never know.

Now that I'm looking at the lines they do look like something. They look like waffles.

I stifle a laugh when you look closer at the lines they look kinda like waffles, sometimes you think your just drawing random things but eventually the lines turn into something. " So do you like waffles " I ask amused. It was easy to have fun on the beach, even if the water bugged me It was easy to forget about it here.

I's weird that these lines turned out in the shape of a waffle. It's odd when you aren't trying to draw anything you end up drawing something anyway. Wonder how that happens.

I wasn't trying to pry and I hope my question didn't come across as prying, I hope I hadn't said the wrong thing or offended him at all.

Why are we going at war and trying to kill one another? Can't we at least try to get along? I mean I think they should at least try family counseling. Family shouldn't be against each other.

I sigh slightly irritated, counseling wasn't going to do anything they both wanted power and they are willing to destroy the world to get it , they would never negotiate or make compromises it was just the way they were . " But which side are you on " I ask slyly.

Khronos and his siblings god mistreated by their father, so Khronos overthrew him and killed him. Khronos went mad with power and ate his children whole, so Zeus had to overthrow him.

This immortal family has major issues. Both sides need to recognize they are both at fault and try to come up with a compromise that fulfills some of the demands of both sides.

I frowned but managed a smile, I had sided with Kronos, I thought the titans were right it was time for the gods too go, change can be good and the gods have been in power for too long.

"Basically what they did is made my dad abandon me when I was a baby" I was angry, and it was obvious in the tone of my voice. "Then for thirteen years act as if I didn't exist and expect me to fight in a war I have nothing to do with?!"

I havent even gotten to see my dad with my own eyes, pictures don't count. I haven't seen him face to face in my entire life. If my dad really loved me then why did he abandon me? If the gods really loved there children why would they make a law that keeps us from seeing them?
