I shook my head no. "Did you not hear me? They're looking for something! You guys aren't safe." I got up out of bed, and searched through my bag.

I sighed. When I pulled a nose-ring looking thing from my bag, i began explaining. "My old rivals. The reason I didnt return for so long to camp. Khalkotauroi. . I don't know who is searching, but i remember that word, that name. It almost killed me before I managed to kill it first. I dont want you guys anywhere near those bulls."

When he spazzes awake, I just stand there and listen to him tell his story. "No, Katie. I agree with Seth. I'm not letting Seth do that alone, but it has to get killed before it kills him." A part of my brain echoed the words back to me, adding, and after it kills you.

My head shakes, and I move myself to the bed as I sit down and realize what Katie said. "That won't happen. We won't let it, Katie. And what if we just rest for one night, not look at the exploding car, and actually try to sleep." At that moment, I realize that now, we were all awake if they wanted to change the sleeping arrangement. And I was gonna say that Katie and I could share this bed, but whatever you want, now that you're up." I say to Seth, who was still freaking out.

I smirk the slightest bit and yawn before I lay down. "I is gettin' tired!" My voice rings out in random laughter, as I always do when I'm exhausted. "Well, night, guys! I really gotta get some sleep."

After Katie bids me a good night, I close my eyes softly. I fall asleep under the covers and fall into a peaceful, dreamless sleep. This was a relief, thinking of the hellish dreams I've had about Emily lately. I was just ready to see whatever damage has already been done in Washington and get ready to prepare her funeral...

I had a puzzled look on my face. "What? figure what out?" I sat down, my back resting against the door. "What is there to figure out?"

"I would much rather Dad take our kids, to be honest. 2 powerful demigods raising children is dangerous. At least with Dad they will be safe." I smiled. "As for these monsters, the only ones i'm sure i saw were the Khalkotauroi, the fire-breathing bronze bulls. The same ones Hephaestus himself forged and gave to King Aeetes of Colchis. I dont know what was searching for them, but they are sure the bulls have reformed. I dont want you or Alexia near them, they almost killed me last time I saw them. I was never so glad i had been on good graces with Aphrodite. You know she likes messing things up for her husband. She tricked him into telling her how to beat them."

As I hear a clank at the door, I assumed someone was just knocking, so I answered. I open the door, and I see Katie and Seth there. I was confused so much when I saw their hands intertwined and arrows around them. "What the-"I asked before seeing another sheath of arrows shoot out at us. I duck down quickly as I try to understand what in Hades was going on.

I quickly slap shut the door after they both come in, lock and bolt it, and finally shut off the lights and jump on top of my bed in case any arrows slipped under the door or anything. I take a breath and then glare to where I think Katie is. "What the Hades is going on here Katie Firebird?" I ask angrily. "I knew I wouldn't even be able to have one hour of rest. I expected that, but what is going on with you? Some big secret I don't know about?"

I roll my eyes at her and throw her bag on my bed. I rip off my necklace, breaking the chain yet again, and I whisper the Greek word for "open" into it. She extends into a beautiful celestial bronze sword kallie crafted for me. "I can take care of myself, thanks,"" I say, kinda mad still. She had to be lying to me. Being the daughter of the god of truth, I could sometimes tell when some people lied to me, but she's my sister. I couldn't exactly tell, but I knew something had to be up.

I let out a deep breath and try to compose myself. "But if we blow up our car, how are we gonna get out West?" I ask as calmly as I can muster it. "I only have about fifty bucks, and that won't but half a ticket to Detroit." I let my guard about Katie down a little bit before realizing that whatever was going on is the least of our worries. "I'm sorry, Katie. I'm just done. It's only been less than 24 hours, and this is the second time we're being attacked. It's not worth it. she's not worth it."
