| Well, for newbies we could assign them an old or expirenced member to help guide them around this website. The moderators could take care of more serious problems and do some other stuff while the expirenced members have the job of taking care of their trainee. The trainee can go to their mentor if they need help around and the mentor can give them advice and stuff.
GOOD IDEA OR NO? | |

| Eh, more of a no on this. I get where you're going, but we get about 5 new members everyday, and we can't give each one of them assigned helpers. Plus, they should get most info from the rules, and it's their fault for not reading. If they have questions, they can ask an admin.

| I think it's a good idea. We have a lot of members. Plus, we could ask the new person if they already did RP on other site. Like this, they'll just need to read the rules. but for the really new person, I tihnk it would be a great idea. | |

| Today we got about 3 new users;
Seeing that I don't think a lack of eager members willing to help is a problem, And for long (like wicked long) lasting members I guarantee that most of us are totally cool with having more than one
Now to look at the other side,
Music is right to an extent it is possible we will run out of people that want to help someone out. Maybe if it's a holiday season for instance. And if the Mentor isn't as active as the trainee some conflict could happen there
All In All I'm for the idea but there are some workarounds that need to be addressed

| Maybe you could set it up this way:
A group of people volunteer to be Mentors, and you make a sub-Catagory somewhere for topics of new members asking questions, and the mentors answer them.
Simple to make it guarenteed, you use the member permissions in advanced to give everyone the ability to make a topic, but only let mentors(Which could be a hidden group) and admins can reply there, and delete old topics.
Actually Im sure if everyone likes the idea its really simple to do in every detail I mentioned :)

| I love that idea xD So, we have a group of mentors, and they answer the questions in the 'questions topic', is this where you're going for? Also, I think admins can also answer the questions as well. Since we're having voting, those not getting the admin spots but mentioned, they could be the mentors (after the admins look over the selected people). | |

| or it could be volunteers, preferably with over 1000 or so posts, or with a bead, or both. Because people with over 1000 posts or whatever probably know about RP and litteracy and how it works, and people with the bead give greater chance of being here since like, the very beginning(Like in dinosaur times when Inan joined the forums ;D)
Because I'd love to be a mentor, but no one has nominated me for admin.

| Well, not all nominees, but the majority. And, no harsh feelings, but maybe you're not fit for the job. If this plan does go into workings, ask an admin, but just because you've been here long and have lot's of posts doesn't really make you an 'expert', but some are. | |

| Love the idea! For the bead thing Gaz said, I'd rather we not do that because I missed it by less than a week, and my experience isn't much different than people who joined a few weeks before me. (Not kidding, check my join date.) I know a few people that would make great mentors! The old mods and admins, Gaz, Remp, and a few others that I can't think of now.
If we do this, I'd like to volunteer. :]

I sorta know almost everything about how forummotion works, know all the rules in the rules and regs. topic.
how not expert is that?
I've also been here since just after Inan, so, like, um, when they invented the radio xD in ancientness, Im a month or so after god, and Inan is our god.
So I vote for volunteer, mainly now for reasons stated in the post above mine.

| I vote for Gaz because I see his posts around the forums, he helps people, states his opinion, and looks at both sides of a situation. So, ya. He seems like he knows what he's doing, so he should share some of his experience with the newer members :] | |

| nominated for mentorship? Uh, me.
But so far we have someone who is opposed to me being one.
On another note, i was right, I just didnt go into detail, it was a lecture, an extremely short 1 line lecture that did not change anything whatsoever, I was 100% right.:)
