Thinking Things Through [PRIVATE]

After a few seconds of waiting, my father answered the door. He looked exactly how I remembered him. Bright crystal blue eyes, shaggy blonde hair, white complexion, and his sharp, chiseld bone structure. "Hey... Dad..." I said rather nervously. I hadn't seen him in five years, which is hard to believe. We traveled around the world together just to escape monsters, and so I could be safe.

"Hello, Melina! It's been so long! Please, please, come in." Melina's dad glanced at the boy around Melina's neck skeptically. Although, he wasn't going to judge until he met him. Her dad never was prejudices, but like most fathers, he only was to protect his daughter.

I strolled through the door, Kai still in my arms. There was a golden chandlier above the door way, and copies of Renaissance paintings that lines along the hallway, and a red carpet with golden designs blanketed the floor. "So much has changed..." I murmured. I turned to face my father. "Uh, dad. Do you have a spot for my, uh, friend, Kai to rest?"

Her father noticed the tention in his daughters voice, but remained calm and composed. "Why, yes, of course! Come follow me."

My father lead us into my old room. It looked exactly the same, and I was relieved he didn't give it to someone else. He flicked on the switch, and the lights beamed on. The room was a bright blue, with a balcony straight infront of us. The room was rather large, especially for a twelve year old, but I put it to good use. My make-up table was still there, but I never really used it. I was never a fan of that. Beside that was my bookshelf. It was filled with books from when I was five up until now. I walked over to my bed and laid Kai down, then I returned my attention to my father. "Thanks, dad," I said.

"I'll leave both of you to your demi-god duties. When the bell rings for dinner, you'll meet your step-mom and half-siblings." With that said, he exited the Melina's room, and headed down the curved stairway.
