When I'm Gone {Open to anybody}

"The Impossible Quiz." I answered; my were focused on the game in front of me. I tripped up on question number thirteen. I spat out a line a curses and then blushed. I had forgotten I was in front of a lady.

I laugh. "That game always gets to me...One time, I was on question 102, then I failed. Sucks, right?" I look at his iPhone. "That's 'abundance'."

"Wow." I'd never gotten higher than question 40. But I was a dumb country boy. She was a smart probable city girl. I was nothing compared with her. I probably should'nt have been downing myself like this. But...I couldn't help it. Unless she couldn't pitch. Then we'd have a problem.

The song changes, and Forgot About Dre by Eminem ft. Dr. Dre. I quietly hum the chorus sung by Eminem. I also watch Nick intently. I give him the answers whenever he needs help.

"Thanks, I never woulda done it without ya." I grinned goofily at her as she hummed. "You know you ain't that bad at singin'."

I shrug. "I practice. Until the Aphrodite girls start a rumor about how much I suck." I smile to myself. His accent was really cute, I thought to myself.

"Boo them," I responded quickly. That's when my horse, a beautiful, bay colored Morgan, Levi, came trotting up behind me and licked my ear. Levi wasn't a really big extravagant horse but she was nice and fun to play with, as well as tease. When she nipped my ear playfully I jumped about a foot in the air to her amusement. "Gods, Levi!" I scolded her lightly.

I put my hand in front of my mouth to conceal my laughter. Nick was genuinely surprised. The horse starts to come to me and chew on my hair. I turn around, "Hey!" I start to pull my hair out of the horse's mouth, but its hard.

"Levi, don't chew on Kaitlin's hair." I scolded her again as she looked upset. I took her muzzle in my hands and kissed the top of it. I stood up and nearly wacked heads with Levi but she wasn't wearing a saddle even though I hopped on. I patted the spot behind me and motioned for Kaitlin to get on. "Hop on, cowgirl."

I slowly get up with a big smile on my face. "I've never ridden a horse before..." I say, as I climb up on the horse. I look down. I was so high up, well, compared to the ground.

"It's not that hard. Just hang on to..." Well I couldn't say reigns, "Just hang on to me." I said as I rubbed Levi's ear gently and clucked my tounge. Levi started trotting bouncely.

I blush as I grab onto his hips. The horse gallops across the beach, and I laugh. This was fun. My hair blew back with the wind.

"Faster?" I asked excitedly. I could get Levi into a dead run if I wanted, but it was hard to stay on her back, espescially since I was riding bare-back. Cantering was mostly safe even though I felt like I couldn't walk right after it. It just...hurt areas of my body.

I laugh. "And you do this all the time?" I ask him. If he did, that would be really cool. A camper stares at us as we gallop past. Probably never seen a horse before.

"Yeah, well on the beach?" I asked as I got Levi to canter. I wondered just how fast Levi go could on a rather cool day like this. "No...I don't do this all the time on the beach but back in Tennessee, I could do it on the main roads and nobody would mind." I explained.

I smile. "Cool," I reply. I lean in closer to Nick. "Go faster," I whisper in his ear. I admit it, I've never ridden a horse until now, but now I'm hooked.

"I dunno..." A blush crept across my face, "Riding bareback is dangerous espescially when galloping. I think we'll just stick to cantering." Levi seemed to disagree as she raced on, going a little fast for my taste, "Whoa, girl." I tried to say, but Levi ignored me and went faster until she was at full gallop. "GODS, LEVI!" I shouted. I hadn't gone this fast in a while.

I grin. "This is better than being on a roller coaster!!" I yell as we barrel on. I have to hold onto Nick even more for extra support. It was true: I was drunk on my own freedom.

That's when Levi did something she'd never done before: she broke into a dead run. Levi was faster than most horses. I mean, I'd always dreamed of being a jockey, but...Levi was too young and so was I. I could barely stay on her back and I was very expirenced with horses. "LEVI, HALT!" I bellowed at the horse who completely ignored me. What was going on?! A horse rebellion?!

That's when I started to panic. "Now it's not so fun..." I mutter. I hold onto Nick for dear life. It was fun, now I was panicked. I tried to enjoy the scenery, even though we were riding at...what, 30 miles per hour?

"I can't! She's not listenin' to me!" I tried everything, but she was running like a horse possessed. We had already passed the border and now we were in the mortal world on the beach. And the people were staring as we ran into beach. "We have to jump." I said turning to look at her.

I stare at him nervously. "No way. You're kidding me. Right?" I was just saying those words for good measure. I knew what the real answer was. "Oh my gods..." I mutter as I look towards the ocean. I turn back to Nick. "Where do we jump?"

"Here!" I shouted as I let go of Levi's mane and I wrapped my arms around Kaitlin and jumped with her from the speeding horse. I admit, what we did was really scary and probably dangerous but...Levi wasn't Levi. Or at least that's what my theory was.

Dylan was taking a walk, when he saw two demigods riding on a very violently running horse. Something seemed wrong, and he noticed they were headed for the ocean. It all happened in an instant. The boy grabbed the girl and jumped. Dylan reacted by flinging his magic pillow. It expanded in size and floated in the air where they were landing, hoping to catch them and cushion the fall.

I jumped with Nick, holding onto him for dear life. My eyes were shut closed, afraid to see where we land. As I just expected to hit the hard, sandy ground, something cushioned my fall. I still didn't open my eyes. "Nick? You okay?" I was still holding onto him.
