We Have To Find Macy

I am also surprised when I see his empty quiver, but I don't spend too much time worrying. All of a sudden, I black out for a moment. The next thing I see is a giant hellhound with my sword in its teeth about five feet from where I stand. Stupid ADHD. I didn't realize what I was doing, but my poor weapon was being gradually bent back. It broke my heart to see that happening. I try to snatch it out of its teeth, but I only get a nasty gash in my arm for trying. A sudden spark of genius appears out of nowhere. Frantically searching the room with my eyes trained on the thing that may be the difference between life and death, I suddenly spot it. I race toward it with the hellhound practically nipping at my heels. In about three seconds flat. I throw it across the room with stellar accuracy as the arrow he missed before lands at Davian's feet. With my hands, I make the movement of shooting it so that he knows what I expect of him.

As the pile of gold appears on my Nikes, I fall to my knees and smile. I feel Davian's jacket on my warm arm, and I see it turning red in some places. My feet stand firm as I lean on him for support. I really didn't need it, but it felt nice to have him close. A smile appears across my face, and I just say two words. "Where next?" I had no clue where in Olympus we needed to go, but I silently prayed for a miracle of some sort. As I "gain" more of my own "strength," I spontaneously kiss him on top of his blonde head. "Thanks, Davian. You saved my life," I whisper almost silently.

I look at the ground in fear of turning red as a tomato. I nod my head and look up as the color flushes from my cheeks. What in Hades am I thinking? I can't pull moves like there. We are on a mission to save his sister! Not for my own selfish reasons. I look into his entrancing green eyes and try to talk. "Yeah. Uh, I can. You, uh, wanna...." I cough and try to pass it off as just a lump in my throat, but it was his eyes. His amazing, loving, pain-stricken eyes. They tell a story.

As I walk out of the door and catch my breath back, I let out a short burst of laughter. "So where to next? Find a hotel or look around or drive? I don't care."

Davian walked outside with Kallie smiling that she could easily shrug off the awkward moment. So he would too. They were way too good of friends for that to ruin it.
"Why don't we just drive down town or something too..." he trailed off as he looked over at the car. Or what was left of it at least.

Davian's mouth dropped open as the once beautiful yellow mustang was smoking and torn to shreds. Their were also minotaur and hellhound prints surrounding the remains. He looked over at Kallie, who had especially loved this car, slowly. "Kallie..." he started.

Looking at the smoking remains or the most beautiful I've ever seen, I'm lost for words. My love of my life. The Camaro I stole. "I- I guess we won't be able to return it," I say as I try not to break down into tears. "We're done for." The honesty weighs down on me like a thirty-pound weight. "What now?" I ask truthfully to Davian. How will we get to the Underworld now? I could "obtain" another car, but we would eventually get caught- a line or robberies by a skilled carjacker would surely put me in juvi for life. A lump appears in my throat, and a small tear appears, but it disappears just as quickly as I think of how we'll never be able to save poor Macy.

I hug him tightly and try to become more of a role model than the one needing comforting. "Thank you, Davian. I ju- just don't know what to don now. My DNA will already be on the wheel, so we really can't get caught. How in Hades will we find another car? We could fly, but I don't think the gods are very happy about us wrecking a car and running away from Camp. We don't have money for a train. What do we do?" I ask as I slowly get up and run a hand through his soft, blonde hair.

I came out of shadow travel where I had hoped, well, hopefully. I could tell I was in New York, so right city was a check-mark. "Now we just gotta hope its the right part of the right city" I murmured to myself, not noticing the group of kids I had just appeared in front of.

When this kid appears, I let out a piercing shriek so loud, it's probably make a banshee run the other way. After the moment of shock, I feel a chill go down my back. "Hades spawn," I murmur only loud enough for me to hear. Then, it happens. That moment when I realized that somebody has to be on our side. There' s no way a demigod-let alone a person not trying to mug a bunch of teenagers in NYC- would come right to the spot we're at just as we find the wreckage of the only way we could get to Macy. There was no way. I hold out my hand defensively but still friendly. Hey there. You're from Camp too?" I ask, trying to stay happy despite my new goosebumps. I had to stay professional. Hades himself had to be different that his son. This kid must be fine... maybe...

I try to answer most of the questions to ease my own tension. I hold Davian's hand in my own, and I squeeze it before replying. "That's cool, I guess. Our-umm- his sister," I say pointing to Davian with my free hand. "-Is gone. We were going to head out when my car got uhh..." I look over at the wreckage, fighting back me emotions.

As if on cue, I quickly try to tell the story, curtly leaving out the parts associated with Hades himself. We didn't even know if it was reall he who took Macy... "Davian here's sister was kidnapped and is somewhere in the Underworld,we think. We have no clue why or how. She's just there now and she could or will die if we don't get here soon." Hpefully, this son of Hades could or would be so kind as to help us in some tin ay without me actually having to beg for it.
