Faye McJean | The infirmary's medics arrived shortly after Faye walked away from the previously deceased (she noted Kalina's boyfriend rushing to the girl's side of the corner of her eye). Her heart hurt for all of those with significant others that would cry about this day, but there would be no tears in her eyes. She stood dumbly as medics buzzed around, applying pressure to wounds here, working together to move someone one to a gurney there. They spoke in even softer tones than Faye had used, she envied their patience.
"Let's focus on moving people onto the stretchers. Do not interfere with the medics, assist them," Faye ordered, surveying those who had answered the call. Her heart seemed to whisper in her ear, urging her to look at James, but she would not. Situations like this - when lives were at stake - could not be handled by such a temperamental organ. Taking a last, quick glance at James and June, she went over to help Ashton place the girl she was near (Aaliyah) on a stretcher.

veronica loric.
What a twisted mirror they were of one another; one relieved, the other distraught. One far from injured, the other still bleeding out of their various wounds.
Heart hammering in her chest, Ronnie gave one sweeping glance of his body, head to toe. She was no medic, but that one assessment was enough to tell her that he shouldn't be putting his body under any stress in his current situation, and that moving would do him no good at all. There was no hesitation in her movements -- blood, after all, would wash out -- and Ronnie moved just enough that she could support the weight he'd been putting on his elbows on her lap. Kit still grasped tight in one hand, then, she reached for the hand that reached for hers with the other, intwining her fingers with his and holding on tight.
"You better be okay," the words might have been harsh, if it weren't for the way her voice shook. No matter how calm she was trying to be, the fear that she might suddenly lose him stuck strong -- this was not how they were supposed to meet again. She'd been worried all of the time he'd been gone, scared that something might have happened... never had the fear felt so justified. The smile she loved was marred by the blood splattered across his lips and she couldn't even manage to trust his words, because she was scared, pure and simple.
What she wanted most was to open up the kit she'd been shoved and fix him, cover his wounds and make him better right then and there -- but the hand not clinging to his own was still shaking violently and she couldn't quite get the top of the box open. Instead, she tore her eyes away from his face and looked around, fellow Apollo kids already making their way across the hill, some with stretchers. She gave up on trying to open the kit and instead raised her arm, waving one of them over.
"We're gonna get you onto a stretcher," words directed back to Jonathan, her voice was quiet, "And I'm going to stay with you, all the way."

all he had to do was not be sick. he could do that, right? drake almost screamed in relief when the boy (nick) beneath him stirred, thankful that her wasn't dead at least, but became immediately worried again when he seemed to have no recollection of where he was. did he just have a concussion or something? as much as he didn't want to admit it, drake didn't recognize this boy at all. what did that mean? no wasn't the time to think about it, he decided.
"that's not good." drake just needed to stay calm. he was quite sure that some other campers had started to try to get people onto stretchers, and he took a lot around to try and wave down a medic. he was shaky again. he was definitely going to need a drink after this. "i'm drake...look, we need to get you to the infirmary....can...do you think you can move?" he looked around again and noticed how no one else of the floor was really moving much, so he thought that maybe that wasn't the best idea. "shit, maybe that's not a good idea. i'll get you some help...wait here!" he was all to happy to get away from the blood, trying to find the first free stretcher that he could.
it was strange to see june seem so broken, but considering the situation, james wasn't really shocked. he kept having to remind himself that other people were reacting normally, and he was the one that was different to everyone else here. he just tried to pull his lips into a wry smile, giving her hand a small squeeze. "i'm not going anywhere, it's okay." he promised. he was pretty sure that june was not anywhere near alright, seeing as she wasn't properly looking at his face. he left out a flat chuckle, though there was little humor to be found. "thanks for the offer, but the last thing i would ever want to be was the good guy." it would've been a joke a year ago; now it was the truth.
james nodded quickly, knowing that if she was complaining about the pain then it was surely intolerable because his sister wasn't in the habit of complaining about much. he lifted his head at met faye's gaze for the briefest of moments. he would speak to her later. he couldn't let his mind be clouded. she looked like she felt the same. he tore away his stare to narrow in on some apollo kids with a stretcher, waving his arm and growling at them, "hey! here! we need to get her some help!" he was sure that the stretcher was going to go to someone else first, but - even with only one arm - james was not the type of person that you would want to argue with. intimidation was the key to power. he turned back to june as the medics came over, trying to navigate their way through bodies and blood. "you're not going to die, we're gonna get you some help and you'll be right as rain. okay?"

Aaliyah tried to focus on Ashton's words and not the pain she was in right now. She attempted to smile even though her cracked lips wouldn't allow it. "That's good to know." She said as she thought about her family. She really hoped she lived, who would take care of her siblings? Her step-mother wouldn't be able to do it by herself. The cut on her side sent a pang of pain throughout the rest of her body. She couldn't help but wince as Ashton wiped her forehead. Aaliyah had to remember to thank the daughter of Hades for everything she had done for her so far. It felt nice to have at least a little bit of blood wiped away before Ashton got up.
The healers from the infirmary finally got there, and she couldn't have been happier to see a stretcher. She was tired of lying on the ground in a pool of blood. The healers instantly rushed to the group of campers. Aaliyah tried to do what Ashton said, but the darkness was calling her name. It sounded so nice just to take a small nap. Her eyes were just starting to close when two people picked her up and put her on top of the stretcher. They were ready to take her to infirmary, but she wasn't. She quickly grabbed Ashton's arm saying, "Thank you for everything."
Elijah wasn't an idiot to see that the boy (Jasper) wasn't fine. If he was fine, he wouldn't be there in a pool of his blood that was sickeningly starting to get bigger by the minute. Everyone else seemed to have at least one or two people helping them get on a stretcher except this boy. In his mind, he instantly decided to stay with him. Elijah tried to think of something to say to get the boy's mind off the pain. "What cabin do you live in?" He decides to ask. It was a stupid question, but he didn't know what else to say. He'd never been in this situation before, there wasn't much you could say to someone who might die soon.
Eventually, a stretcher came brought by a healer. "Can you help me put him on the stretcher?" She asked him. Elijah nodded his head before lifting him onto the stretcher. The girl was pretty small, and he figured she'd need some help taking him to infirmary. He didn't mind helping her out. For once, it felt nice to not be totally useless.

brush off the dirt and
LET MY CHANGE OF HEART OCCUR
June bit her lip as she managed a soft smile. "Doesn't suit us, anyway," she agreed. June was thankful for her brother for sticking by her side. She had gotten so twisted in the past few months that she had a lot of doubt on whether or not she would be doing the same if the roles were flipped. She wanted to say she would be here for her brother, but honestly, she probably wouldn't even know he was on the hill. She wouldn't get involved in the first place. June wouldn't help, and that thought made her blood run cold. "You're a good brother, though," she said as she tried her best to grip his hand tightly. Usually, her strength would be astounding for a girl of her size and age, but she was so weak. June wasn't sure if it was seconds or hours before she felt hands sliding underneath her broken body and lifting her onto a gurney. She gasped and reached again for her brother's hand, squinting her eyes shut as she tried to block out the stabbing pains being moved was sending up her body. "Fix me or I swear to the Gods I'll haunt the hell out of this camp.." June moaned as her face contorted into a grimace. She was grateful she was finally getting medical attention, but she had no clue what was wrong with her, and no idea what the full extent of her injuries really were. What if she was paralyzed? What if she had already lost too much blood? She felt a gash in her side that seemed to rip when she was moved. She couldn't move her limbs, but she wasn't sure if it was from exhaustion or something more. She was so close to getting help, but she was so scared. "I should have left this stupid camp a long time ago. Can't catch a break here," June muttered to her brother, holding back tears as she wished she could be anywhere but in this situation. So much pain.

my eyes are black and red
IM CRAWLING BACK TO YOU BABE
Ashton gave Aaliyah one final, sure glance before turning her attention to the healers struggling to locate all the bodies and tend to each. "I've got a girl over here," she whispered to a healer who was passing by, after gripping their arm and holding on tightly. "I told her she wasn't going to die so I need you to not make me a liar." Ashton tilted her head towards Aaliyah and watched with relief as she finally received attention from the medics. Ashton was walking towards another camper still laying on the ground when she felt a hand on her. Turning quickly, she sighed with relief to see Aaliyah on the stretcher. "Of course," she replied confidently, smiling down at the girl. "I'm in this with you now. My name's Ashton. I'm going to find you in the infirmary later, I promise." Ashton locked eyes with the girl and offered her a small smile before letting the healers take over. She turned quickly to help and nearly bumped into the boy (Elijah) helping the healer. A quick reminder that she now had no place to help. She'd done her job. She took several deep breaths and used the bottom of her shirt to wipe the sweat off of her forehead. "Thank you for helping him," Ashton murmured to the boy helping the boy (Jasper) whom had had no one. Ashton herself wish she had been there for Jasper, as he had been left without help for too long and she didn't think it was acceptable. Ashton was a survivor. These campers had to be, too.

Faye McJean | Faye watched as people began to be loaded onto stretchers. The more serious cases were strictly being handled by the medics. She witnessed a few people putting casts and bandages around the limbs of some. June, Aalyiah, and Jasper were loaded onto stretchers, as well as a few others. Faye didn't recognize one of the victims (Nick), who was being helped by the kid who looked like he needed help himself (Drake). She jogged over, blood splashing onto her exposed calves as she went.
"My name's Faye, let's get that guy onto a stretcher, yeah?" she said, looking the teenager in the eye as she spoke to him. She motioned for a gurney, and one of the medics slid her one. "I'll help you, come on." Her hair was falling out of the bun she had put it in as she steered the gurney towards the unknown demigod. She hoped he was a demigod, at least.
She slid onto her knees, near the boy's head. Faye studied him, hoping that she could identify him, but no, she couldn't. This was by far the worst way to enter camp. "Ready?" she asked, looking over at the other boy. "One, two... three!"
