eliana petriolis, healer huntress
Eliana Petriolis prowled through the forest, silent as a shadow. She flitted from tree to tree, purple eyes darting everywhere at once. She was searching for the silver stag. She had been on guard duty at the bridge, looking out for men and monsters when she had seen it. A flash of silver. She left her partner to guard the bridge and instantly followed the beautiful creature. A silver stag was definitely something for Lady Artemis to know about. Either that, or it was a sign from her. Eliana didn't know which one it would be, but she intended to find out. She knew she had left the Hintress Camp, and she was pretty sure that she had entered Camp Half-Blood. Where else were you going to find a great big forest like this? A quick grin flashed accross her space as se spotted the stag. She crept forward a bit, but the stag bounded away suddenly, as if it had been spooked. Eliana frowned, it certainly hadn't been her making enough noise to scare it off. Then she saw the girl. Most likely she had been walking through the forest, completely clueless to the fact that she had scared off Eliana's target. "You scared off my stag." she said disapprovingly, walking into a clearing to stand in front of the girl. She had to be a demigod; mortals couldn't enter the Camp. She raised an eyebrow, waiting for the girl to explain herself.

Carmen Rae Pryce Unclaimed Daughter of Iris
Carmen walked through the forest, hands in her pockets. She had nothing to do but take a walk, after all, the weather was pleasant. A light winter breeze flew past the bare and frosted trees as she went. The demigod was sick of cabin eleven. Everyone there was either a skateboarder [annoying] or a clueless maniac [creepy]. Needless to say, this unclaimed girl didn't put herself in any of those categories. As she walked, old stale twigs cracked underneath her woolen boots, not meant for snowy days like these. She heard someone else's voice and looked to a girl. Only, this girl was different looking. She seemed to be... almost glowing. Her skin seemed to reflect the moonlight, or lack there of it. Carmen cast her a confused expression, only then seeing the silver stage disappear into the wilderness. She took a few more steps into the clearing, finally realizing what the girl was. "You're a Hunter right? One of Artemis' Huntresses," Carmen breathed, not believing her luck. The girl had wanted to be one of the Hunters ever since arriving at camp. Boys were nothing but nuisances, even Jake, the guy she asked to that dance. Besides, the girl wanted a reason to leave camp. She hated cabin eleven. "I'm Carmen."

Eliana gazed wistfully after the silver stag as it bounded away. It was so beautiful, should she go after it? Eliana was seriously considering sprinting after the creature when the girl asked a question. The Hunter immediately turned back to the girl. She looked over her, thinking hard. She especially noticed the slight look of awe on the girl's face. Maybe this was what the stag had been sent for! A new Huntress. Eliana nodded to herself slightly. Alright, she had to get this girl to join. But she couldn't just come out and ask. Over the years Eliana had learnt that most people responded better to a more subtle touch. Eliana smiled and gracefully walked closer to Carmen, holding of her hand. "Nice to meet you Carmen. My name is Eliana " she said kindly. And yes, I am a Huntress of Artemis. Why do you ask?"

Carmen shook the girl's hand and smiled. "Eliana, pretty name," she commented with a smile. She couldn't believe it. A huntress. The demigod smiled at the girl and exhaled dramatically. "Oh well, I've never met a Huntress before," the girl explained, smiling all the more. She couldn't help but let her thoughts run wild for a moment, just as the silver stag had. "I've kind of been interested in the Hunters, actually," Carmen explained. Looking at her boots, she let out a nervous laugh. "I just... don't fit in here, does that make sense?" she asked, turning to face Eliana again. She could've sworn they were the same age, only the girl in front of her seemed so much... calmer. Carmen wanted to be like that, mature, calm, and different. In a good way, of course.

Eliana smiled brightly as the girl shook her hand. That was the first step to convincing her to join. Sometimes some girls found Eliana a bit intimidating or something, but Eliana had never seen why. "Thankyou," she said graciously. "It's Greek." More like Ancient Greek, but Eliana wouldn't reveal how long she had been a Huntress just yet. If Eliana herself didn't intimidate possible recruits, then her time in the Hunters often did. Eliana nodded as Carmen explained her interest. Most girls were interested in the Hunters at one point or another, and most of them hadn't met one. The Hunters and the Campers had an old rivalry, resulting in them not being very welcome at Camp. It was entirely Camp Half-Blood's fault though. It wasn't the Hunter's fault that they were so good at Capture the Flag and so strong in their dislike for boys. "Of corse it makes sense." Eliana said immediately. "We have quite a few girls who have joined us from Camp. They all seem to enjoy the Huntress Camp much more than... here." It was obvious from Eliana's tone that she didn't find Camp Half-Blood very interesting or nice. Eliana tipped her head to the side as she gazed at Carmen. She seemed very interested in the Hunters, it was only fair that Eliana warn her. "You do have to give up boys to be a Huntress though." she added. "But most likely you already knew that, you seem pretty smart."

Carmen nodded, Greek. She wished her name was Greek, instead of a typical boring American name. Carmen, she thought sourly. The girl didn't so much dislike her name, but the fact that it was her father's choosing. Mason Pryce was an artist, surely he could've thought of a more ... different name? In the back of her mind, the girl wondered how long Eliana was in the Huntresses. Surely not many people had such a name like that now a days. Carmen could sense the Hunter's dislike for Camp immediately. Smirking at the girl's distaste, she only nodded. The two different groups had an old rivalry, and she wouldn't mind switching sides. Who needed Camp Half Blood when your godly parent didn't even claim you after all this time? "That makes perfect sense," Carmen replied eagerly. At the mention of boys, the girl's expression hardened. Jake. Did she like him? Sure, kind of, not really. Was he fun to dance with? Weren't all guys? Carmen simply shrugged, reminding herself that the only reason she went to that dance was on a dare. She never backed down from a dare. "I can handle that."

Eliana flashed Carmen another smile as she eagerly esponded to Eliana's comments. She definitely seemed like the perfect candidate to become a Huntress. This belief was strengthened as Carmen admitted she could live without boys. This was going perfectly. "That's ggod then," she said brightly, "Personally I despise boys and men of all kinds, but some Hunters just don't like them." That was sort of the truth anyway. There were a couple Hunters who just didn't like boys or joined because they wanted a new life. Most of the girls hated them though. Eliana gazed over Carmen again, wondering if she should just come out and ask her whether she wanted to join or not. She seemed pretty into the idea of no boys and no Camp. "Boys are easy to give up when you trade them for immortality." she said, smiling widely. "And we each get to play with the wolves and falcons that help us hunt." Before asking Carmen the all important question Eliana was slipping in some of the highlights of being a Huntress. She hadn't followed the stag allthis way to come back empty-handed. Plus, it really did seem in Carmen's best interests to leave the Camp. She didn't look like she was very happy here. "I'll tell you what,." she started, flicking her dark hair over her shoulder. "How would you like to be a Huntress?"

Carmen hoped she was responding all of these questions correctly, and in the best way possible. She just wanted to forget camp life, really. It wasn't much better than her other life, with her family. Back at home, the girl was bullied by her own step sister, and the majority of her class. No one liked her, which forced her into the girl who lay before the Huntress today. Unable to trust even her closest 'friends', she just wanted to please someone in her lifetime. "Boys are annoying, and ungrateful," she replied quickly, thinking of both her father and Jake. Her date had been to busy wondering why she asked him in the first place. She heard Eliana mention immortality, and Carmen grinned widely. Immortality. Living forever. At the moment, there was nothing the girl could wish for but that one thing. Moonlight skin, immortality, and wicked hunting skills. She was alright with her bow, but hoped that it would improve. After all, she would have a lifetime to perfect that. Falcons and wolves. The idea of having animals trust her was something she had experienced before. She had a kitten, Bella. A question crossed her mind, but was quickly replaced when Eliana spoke about being a Huntress. "Yes, yes please," Carmen said quickly, eyes widened. "Oh, do you think I could bring Bella? She's my kitten," the demigod added softly. She guessed her cat couldn't be immortal, but if she could, it would only be the more reason to leave camp.

Eliana smiled prettily as Carmen agreed with her dislike for boys. It was always nice to meet somebody who shared her distaste for the male kind. Sure, Eliana was surrounded by girl's every day who hated men. But it was nice to know that people outside the Huntress world were disgusted by them as well. Eliana's smiled widened even further as Carmen agreed to join the Hunters. She opened her mouth to say something, but stopped when Carmen mentioned her kitten. She thought for a moment before shrugging slightly. "I suppose that would be okay." she said thoughtfully, "but I don't think she'd become immortal, and she'd have to get along with the other animals. Lady Artemis will have the last say. But she lives animals, so I'd imagine she would allow it." Eliana paused, looking over Carmen thoughtfully. Then she smiled, her mission was a success. Now all she had to do was get Carmen to officially join by saying the oath in front of Lady Artemis. Eliana glanced around the forest, wondering how far away the main Camp was. If Carmen walked here then it couldn't be that far away. "Well, to officially join you'll have to say the words of the oath before Lady Artemis. That mean you'll have to come to the Huntress Camp with me. You can get your stuff now if you want. It's probably better if I don't go into the Camp though, everybody always seems to know that I'm a Huntress somehow." she laughed lightly. Maybe it was the slight glow on her skin or something "Or you could go back later, I don't mind."
