Quiet New York Day....Not Anymore(Angelus)

[Anne - Empusa]

'Yes, but Hecate is my mistress. She would be glad to know that I help her child,' I chuckled, thinking about this situation.
Striding forth, I grabbed the girls face in my hands, twisting it this way, and that.
'Commendable effort young demigod. If I was any younger, you might have stood a small chance,' I looked to Sarah, and smiled, 'Miss.Sarah? I may have her now yes. She is a burden, and I find myself suddenly peckish.'

I shuddered from the creatures grasp, but kept my head held high. Don't panic. Don't panic. There was always a way out of a situation. There had to be.
'Any younger? Between us two girls, you are looking a little worn around the eyes,' I snarled, smiling horribly.
The empusa snarled, and having just let me go, lunged for my throat.
Reacting on a deep instinct, I raised my hand, trying to keep my head away from the blade at my neck.
A pipe burst. And the water rose. Fresh, I noticed. But I didn't have time to marvel.
I clicked my fingers, and sent the water flying across the room, hitting Anne.
Her hair seemed to grow smaller and smaller, hissing and dying. But she wasn't. With the floor wet, I slid away before Sarah or the empusa could come to their senses. Raising my knives, I crouched in a battle stance, ready for any fight that could happen right now.

"Ugh...she's more stuborn than I expected she would be...stand down Anna...I will deal with this." Parker says, she stepped before the empousa facing Viv=. Her head tilted to the side, she brandished her sword, ready for a fight. Her lips pursed in thought, she moved her feet into a better fighting position. "Viv your just making things harder on yourself and on me." Parker lunged forward, but jumped back at the last second, thinking better of it. She ran her finger against her blade, cutting it ever so slightly. A drop of blood fell onto her foot, she ignored it. Parker grinned to herself and swung her sword around feinging a slash at the Empusa.
She brought her free left hand around, using something she rarely used, she fired a bolt of white hot light at Viv. The impact, if it hit would send her flying into the wall. Parker chuckled softly to herself, her small cut was dripping a small smount of blood onto the floor and her foot. Sarah's tongue traced her lips and she jumped back closer to the empusa...studying her opponent.

The light hit me full on and sent me flying into the wall. My head cracked off the tiles, and I slid down. Unfortunately, I wasn't unconscious. It would have been easier if I had been.
Gathering my strength, I glared at Sarah, my head rolling slightly, but I managed a smile.
'Easier for you huh? In what way? Murder...it...you don't...back from that,' trailing off, I closed my eyes, and my head slumped onto my chest.
Some part of me was still there. Not fully gone. But I couldn't bring my eyes to open again, it was just to hard.

Everything was going well. The young child was in her element, almost showing a talent for cruelness.
But she cut her thumb, and despite myself, the blood made me lick my lips.
And as she moved closer to me, I sighed happily, inhaling the smell.
Without knowing what I was doing, I grabbed her from behind, and pulled her closer.
'I'm sorry, dear Sarah. But I am peckish. And a fully awake girl is much tastier than an unconscious one,' leaning in, I brought my fangs to her throat, a jugular vein.

She was satisfied with her results, she swallowed slightly watching her limp form on the ground. Then without warning she felt a strong, feminine arm wrap around her, pulling her into a hug. Parker didn't realise what was happening until she heard the woman's words and felt her breathe against her neck. The empousa's grip was strong, but Parker believed she could still fight her , she squirmed moving from side to side but she didn't seem to be able to break free. It looked like it was going to be the end for her, unless she did something to break free of her grip.
Her chest was rising and faling softly and she relaxed in his grip couphing slightly, closing her eyes slowly. "Anne...you don't have to do this...I understand your hungry and that I must smell tasty...I might even taste good who knows." She felt the woman's breathe on her neck "take a moment to think about this...just think outside this door there are mortals or what I see as mortals they could be friends of yours I don't know."
Parker shook her head slowly, she didn't know what she was trying to do, her eyes were shut tight waiting for the inevitable bite, then she brought her free arm back and rammed her elbow into the empousa's stomach.

The wind knocked out of me, I stumbled back.
'Sarah! Think of it this way. You don't have to die a horrible death with a hell-hound or dracon,' I protested, stumbling towards her, but slipping on the water the pesky demigod Viv had summoned.
Without meaning to, I slid, and fell to the ground. Realizing my mistake, I snarled, trying to turn, but finding a knife right beside me.
'Move, and I will stab you,' Vivienne managed to gasp, through the obvious pain in her head and back.

Coming back to the pain, I realized I hadn't been out long. But long enough that Anne had turned on Sarah.
Fighting the pain, I grabbed up my fallen knife, and gasped my words to her. Looking up to Sarah, I felt like smiling.
'Now. Sarah, you get to choose. Me. Or you're pet here.'

Parker stared at Viv, studying her, her lips pursed in thought. After all the girl had been through, after what had happened she simply stared at her. Her feet resting against the water, she brought herself around, planting her blood speckled foot next to the empousa. The young woman swallowed nervously "now Viv I realise things...may have er...gotten out of hand but realy there's no need at the end of the day I only and I still only want a kiss...from the empousa because it would make an interesting conversation. You can take this time to try and leave if you want...I'll be right behind you." Parker says, tapping her bare foot against the ground, leaning in to look at Viv. Parker giggled slightly, moving infront of the empousa, who lay sprawled on the floor, moving to try and protect her from Viv's attack.

The whole conversation was confusing my banged around brain, but I understood the most part. Shaking my head, I grabbed the side, and pulled myself up as much as I could.
Staggering to the door, hoping that I could get some ambrosia from my bag, and turned, and smiling slightly at the girl.
'I stand by what I say now. You're one strange, strange girl,' pulling the door open, I didn't notice the fact my shoes weren't wet, or my clothes.

'Idiot child. What do you expect?' I sneered, as soon as the water child left.
Standing, my hair started to come back to its usual flaming fury. Snarling at the girl, I snapped.
'You just let her go! That was supposed to be my food. You chose the wrong side Sarah Parker.'

Parker turned to look at the Empousa. Her mouth curved in a nervous smile "that was a young girl...you were surrounded by water...an element she seems to have good control of...you would not have won the fight." Parker shook her head slowly, planting her hands upon her hips "besides I have chosen no side...not yet...now how about that kiss?" Parker says a playfull grin upon her face, she turned to walk to the door but slipped, she fell forward on the water. Her legs were in the air, she shook her head slowly "wow...should have been more carefull."

Laughing, I watched her fall. The child had something about her. Something that meant I could not kill her.
'I suppose you're right. As for the kiss..' I trailed off, and made my way to the door.
But as I reached it, I lent, and kissing her on the lips, lingered for a moment. Then I turned, and walking out the door, my mortal guise back in form, I passed the slumped form of Vivienne. She didn't even look up, instead having her ambrosia.

I sighed. My head was pretty much better, and I couldn't believe that I left Sarah. And what she had done. Somehow, I still understood her actions.
Not noticing Anne pass me, I ate another piece of ambrosia.
That was when the trident and dolphin entwined appeared above my head, in the middle of a crowded Starbucks.

"Wow...that was...Nice." Parker let a small sigh escape her lips, her cheeks flushed a light pink colour. Slowly she pushed herself to her feet and brushed the water off her clothes, her finger was still bleeding. Parker pushed her way out of the bathroom in time to see the symbol shine above Viv. Parker watched it with curiosity, but no one save for maybe the empousa anna seemed to notice the symbol. Sarah shook her head slowly, tapping her foot against the floor. "Turns out she's a nice person after all...and a good kisser." Parker says casually bending down to Viv's side "sooo...how are you doing?...Sorry about what happened back their, she is cute...apart from the whole almost ripping my throat out."

'Nice to hear it,' I said offhand, watching the slowly fading symbol.
Amphitrite. I was a Daughter of Amphitrite. The Queen of the Seas.
'Wait. Sorry. But I've been claimed...and I don't feel any different. Just I know my mom,' I sighed, sipping my cold coffee, but glad for a distraction.
'You like Empusa huh? Can't see the attraction myself, might have been cause she wanted to eat me,' the thought made me laugh.
But I still thought of my mom. So she had been married. To Poseidon. And she was a Queen. Would she care if I saw her? Would she love me? Would she like how I turned out?
It explained a lot though. Why I liked the water. The fact I hadn't got wet.

Parker watched the girl with much curiosity, tilting her head slowly. "I wouldn't say I'm attracted to Empusa...just that I like the danger." Parker giggles softly to herself she knelt down besides Viv. "So your a daughter of...the dolphin lady...guess that explains the water...you must have realy impressed her...with your actions or maybe it was your self control." Parker says, standing up offering her hand to the girl. Parker shook her head softly to herself "wonder if mother would punish Anna......nevermind that...I think it would best if we left the shop maybe go somewhere else...somewhere less dangerous."
