The Quiet We Need[[private to Will]

Izzy was resting by the creek. Waiting for him to return, she told him she'd go ahead and meet him. Sure she was a bit sore, but the color at least returned to her skin. What could she do now while she waited for her love. Her arm still was hurting her but it wasn't to bad.

Jake walked towards the creek where he had arranged to meet Izzy. He decided to go with a loose fitting sleeveless shirt because his scar had begun to hurt him again. He wanted to know exactly what had bothered her when they had first arrived at camp. He reached the clearing and saw her resting, waiting, walking over to her he put his hands over her eyes.
Here I am Izzy.

"Jake...." She sighed happily while moving his hands away. Gazing up at him she smiled. Thank gods he came here." I'm sorry for how I acted earlier. I was just afraid to be alone there... all the bad memories can back to me.. Please don't go again." She whimpered tears burning her eyes slightly.

There is no need to apologize Izzy, I was just worried. What is this about bad memories though, and why do they haunt you?
He moved to her side and put his arm around her to let her know that he wouldn't leave her again. He began to worry for Izzy, why did these visions come to her, or how.

"Of what Pole had done... those will forever haunt me. The infirmary reminds me of how I almost died." She sniffled and snuggled up to him closely. Why was this upsetting her so. Kissing his cheek she wiped away a few tears. "Jake... I'm more worried about if you're okay."

I can't say that everything that happened never crossed my mind. I wonder if there was something that I could have done to help him.
He took her in his arms and sat her on his lap than wiped away her remaining tears.
I can sense that you want to do something dear.

"I don't know... Dear what are we going to do now?" She asked snuggling closer. Though the color returned to her, though she was still cold. Softly she sighed while she looked up at him. "I wish there was something I could do to make everything better."

Jake smiled at her last words, she always was thinking of doing good.
As much as you, or even I wish to do something...I'm just not sure if we can. He was taken away to the Underworld, and we cannot go there.
He kissed her before looking out across the creek.

She sighed faintly. "Can we go to the burial shroud. We could make him a mock grave." She asked softly, she had plenty of photos of Pole that she could bury. Sighing she kissed his cheek. Snuggling closer to him with a big smile.

If that is what you wish than we shall Izzy. We at least need to pay him some respect.
He smiled back at her and held her closer to him. He was overjoyed that she felt better, but her lingering thoughts of Pole didn't. Not because he was jealous, no, there was something else.

Was she.... No she couldn't be. Isabelle lingering feelings for Pole worried her. She was a married woman after all. Leaning back into his arms she smiled. " Alright, so when should we go do this?" She asked curiosity in her voice.

We'll do it now.
Jake took Izzy off his lap and got up. Just than an odd sound came from behind one of the trees off to their right. Out came a discombobulated but alive Pole. He stumbled around and saw Jake and Izzy, he ran forward, but collapsed just infront of them. Jake looked shocked at the body of Pole infront of them, and ran to drag him closer.

Isabelle knelt down beside him, lovingly she stroked Pole's hair. "Are you alright Polemistis?" She asked her voice filled with worry. She would hate herself if he was hurt, and she couldn't help. So she watched him carefully her fingers running through his hair.

Jake watched as Izzy tended to Pole. He knew she was better qualified than he to try and administor aid to him. Instead he watched from behind Izzy giving her the space she needed.

Pole awoke to the face of an angel, or so he thought.
Where am I, who are you? Why do I not know who I am? Are you an angel, you look like an angel.He pulled himself into a sitting position and looked at Jake.
I....know.....you....but I can't remember how or why.

"I'm no angel. I'm Isabelle, behind me is Jake you're brother. You're in camp half blood." She softly cooed to him. As if trying to keep him calm while she lightly stroked his cheek. She was worried about the poor boy. Leaning down she kissed his forehead. "I'm not sure what happened to you, but you're safe now."

Pole looked shocked to hear he had a brother and that the girl wasn't an angel.
What is camp half blood and how do you know he's my brother.
He began to panic as if he didn't know what to do. He looked around with slanted eyes and calmed down. Than he looked at Izzy and kissed her gently.

Izzy blushed. Though she didn't return his kiss, she didn't pull back. Her fingers rested in his hair when she slowly pulled back."Camp half blood is a camp for demi gods, you two are both the sons of Ares." She whispered. Fearing the thought of looking into Jake's eyes. She merely faced Pole.

This time Jake felt a shred of jealousy. Why did his wife, Izzy, not pull away from his kiss. He shook away the thoughts knowing that was what had started the problem in the first place. He knelt down on the other side of Pole.
Yes, I'm Jake son of Ares and your brother, and the girl you just kissed is my wife.
He smiled at Pole and than at Izzy, but not in a threatening way, more as in joking with them.

Meanwhile Pole looked even more confused.
Wait, I'm the son of a god along with Jake? That makes no sense...but than what does to me right now. Oh, I'm sorry to Jake, I won't kiss her again, but I won't apologize for liking it.
He laughed a cheery laugh which was so different from old Pole.

Isabelle loved the kiss than her and Pole shared. There was just something about it that was different than when she kissed Jake. Leaning back beside him she smiled faintly. Glad to see the new Pole was cheerful. "I'm the daughter of Hebe. Everyone in this camp, is the child of some sort of Greek god."

Pole got pensive and began to think. While thinking he glanced back and forth between Izzy and Jake.
Okay, some questions, who is Hebe? Why do I get the feeling that I didn't like you or Jake? How did I get here?

Jake looked at Izzy and gave her a look that said they needed to talk. He got up and went to sit beside Izzy.

"Hebe is a goddess of youth and such. You didn't like me and your brother. Honestly I'm not sure how you got here. But excuse us for a moment we need to talk." Standing she quickly stood up and grabbed Jake's hand. Standing so they weren't in ear shot she looked at Jake. "So what's your problem?" She asked crisply.

Jake kept his cool at her crisp tone.
I just want to know why you didn't pull away from his kiss. We're married remember, do you forget that the instance someone makes a smoochy face at you?
He kept his voice level and reasonable waiting for her answer.

Pole stood up and walked over to where Jake and Izzy were talking.
Did I do something wrong?

"No Polemistis, you didn't do anything wrong. Go lay down, or get a sip of water from the creek." She spoke calming, though when he left she looked at Jake. " You're over reacting, it was just a kiss. I didn't kiss him back. Yes I didn't pull away, but I didn't want to hurt him." Her voice grew a bit icier with every word.

Jake raised his hands in exasperation.
Okay, okay, don't freak out. I am your husband so if I wasn't protective of you what kind of husband would I be?
He walked over o where Pole was resting his back against a tree.

Isabelle glared at him and walked over to Pole. Right now he was her main concern. Fearing that he wasn't alright. "So Pole, how are you feel? I didn't meant to snap at you."
