Kit left his cabin with her towel over his shoulder and a bottle of Pepsi Lime in his hand. It was a nice, hot, summer day in the month of July. Camp had just started again and Kit was anything but excited. He didn't like all the training, though he was good at it. Kit's minded wandered from training, to camp life, to freedom, to Kronos, and finally, to the beach. Kit was so happy to have sometime off finally. He had been helping Chiron prepare for all the new campers for what seemed like a years but, was only 2 months. He wore his usual swimwear, though you could never expect what swim trunks he would wear. He had so many. His swim shorts were any assortment of blacks, greys and white. Most of the design was just lines, and large patches of one color. He wore his favorite Adidas sandals on his feet, the once with the wide strap. They had the classic, three while lines over the strap. Kit carried his purple towel over her hard shoulder, adjusting it every now and again. Now, walking through the forest, he could hear the other campers at the arena, lake and even some Satyr's were chasing Nymphs. Those flirts... Kit thought, shaking his head and smirking. The green canopy above him swayed in the gorgeous summer breeze. It really was, the perfect summer day. Finally, entering the warm sand, Kit threw his down in the sun, slipped of his sandals and ran to the water, doing a canon ball of the nearest dock.

Annabelle walked onto the beach, already in her bathing suit. It was yellow and black, but it was nothing special. She walked towards the water and set her tote bag and her towel on the sand about fifty yards from the shore. She stretched her arms and looked out at the water. Beautiful, thought Annabelle as she sat down on the towel and put on some sunscreen.

Annabelle looked out to the dock. There was a splash. Annabelle could only guess that it was a child of Poseidon, showing off his or her talents. Annabelle didn't swim much, especially in the ocean. She couldn't imagine what Poseidon would do to her if he noticed a daughter of Zeus swimming in his water, his ocean. She shivered and put her sunglasses on.

Annabelle ran a hand through her dark red hair that was turning wavy from the humidity. She laid back on her towel and sat there, tanning for awhile. When she sat back up, she was burning up. Maybe she would have to go in the water, just to cool off. The very thought terrified her, but then she saw a boy, and she couldn't help but stare at him. She recognized him as the camper who had made the splash at the end of the dock. She couldn't stop staring at him.

Kit surfaced, shaking out his hair. He loved the water. It felt like home. He wasn't wet, as always. Kit dove underwater, swimming down in a spiral. He made a bubble right at the bottom, floating around the sea bed. Fish, all different kinds of fish swam around the bubble. They mentally talked to Kit, "Kit, can you convince your dad to put more salt in the water?" Kit laughed and said "I'll try." The school of fish swam away gossiping about Sex in the Reef. Stupid fish shows. Kit smiled, popped his bubble then swam closer to shore. He stood, waist deep in water. Kit shook out his dark brown hair, then stretched his arms wide. Yawning, he walked towards shore, noticing a pretty red staring at him. "Take a picture, it lasts longer." He shouted and smirked. She was very pretty, and different. Kit liked that. She wasn't afraid to be different is what it seemed like. She was original. One of a kind.

Annabelle's electric blue eyes continued to stare at the guy. He wasn't wet. Yep, son of Poseidon. Annabelle was right. She found herself walking, unconsciously, toward the edge of the water. She didn't dare to go in though, there was no way she was risking the wrath of the God of the seas.

Annabelle grinned as she said the first sentence, "Oh, but it's not as good as the real thing!" She didn't usually find herself attracted to sons of Poseidon. In fact, they usually appalled her. Or maybe it was jealousy; maybe she was jealous of the fact that they could swim freely in the ocean water, and she got nervous whenever she took a shower or a bath. Anna took in all of the boy's features, every single one of them, until she spoke again.

"I'm Annabelle Shauk. Call me Anna though. I don't like the name Annabelle." Anna was conscious of the waves, daring to come up into the sand, only inches from her feet, maybe even centimeters away. She didn't give him her God parent. Either he already knew and didn't care, or he didn't have a clue. If it was the ladder, Annabelle didn't want the child of Poseidon to find out.

Kit smiled down at her. She was shorter than him by at least half a foot. He took in all her features. Her red hair, nice figure, bright blue eyes. Kit liked her so far. She probably already knew his god parent. It was pretty obvious. He just came out of the ocean dry, so. Kit raked his hand through his hair. She was very pretty, and nice too. "Kit Breccan. Poseiden." He put his hand on his hips, moving back and forth on the ball of his foot. It kept his ADHD in control. Kit's had always been worse than the others. He looked at her puzzled, realizing the sudden look on her face. "Why won't you go swimming?" He put a hand on her shoulder, looked her in the eyes and said, "There's nothing to be afraid of."

Gods, why did he have to ask that, asked Annabelle in her head. She signed and looked down at the water, longing for it. She would give anything to just go for a quick swim, not that she knew how to swim. She replied, "Well, I don't want to, er—upset you're father. You see our father's aren't exactly the most friendliest Gods, at least towards each other."

She looked down at her feet, not wanting to look Kit in the eyes. A larger wave came and touched her toes; she tensed, going rigid and relaxed when nothing happened, watching the waves go away. She hadn't deliberately gone into the water. She said, more quietly now, "Besides, I don't know how to swim." She didn't want him to hear her, but he probably did.

Kit looked at her puzzled, eyebrows furrowed the whole time she talked. It was mesmerizing, her voice. He could stand there and listen to her talk all day, but, sadly, she stopped. Kit spoke up as soon as she finished. "Well, I'm sure he won't hurt you. He doesn't hurt just anyone that wants to go swimming. Look at all the kids over there, having fun in the water. There not my siblings...well, he is but, my point is, you should go swimming." her remark about not knowing how to swim, he softened up, took her by the waist, and threw her over his shoulder. "I'm teaching you. Now." He grinned and ran into the surf.

But my dad is Zeus, Anna wanted to say, but started laughing when he picked her up. She continued laughing for a few seconds and then finally caught her breath, "But my dad—he's Zeus. Do you know what would happen to you if he knew you were in an airborne airplane?" Annabelle shivered, not wanting to think about it. She was still scared of the water, but for some reason, Kit comforted her. His arms around her waist. There was something about him.

Kit set her down in the water once they were far enough out. He had his hands on her waist, making sure she stayed afloat. She looked like a good swimmer, she wasn't sinking. Kit held her and told her, "Now, move your feet back and forth. You'll float." Kit grinned at her. She just seemed so, he didn't know. Just so, special. She seemed, right. Kit was still holding her waist. He liked this girl. She made him feel warm inside.

Annabelle nervously nodded and did as he told her. She couldn't help thinking, Kit, so help me, if you let me go, I will kill you! She placed her hands on his forearms for balance, though he was holding her waist. Annabelle wanted to put all of her trust in Kit. She couldn't help but mutter, "Are you sure about this?"

Kit grinned at her. "You're doing great." He looked into her eyes. He inevitably starred at her. She was something to look at, thats for sure. Kit held her still for a moment. "Now, lay on your back." He put his hand on the small of her back and the other underneath her knees. Looking over at her, he gave her a nodd of reassurance.

Annabelle laid on her back and relaxed at the touch of Kit's hands. She couldn't stop staring at him. They're eyes met and Anna didn't look away. Normally she would, but she couldn't. She grinned up at him. Kit was something, she knew that much. She didn't know children of Poseidon would be so willing to help out a child of Zeus. She whispered something to him, "Kit . . . don't let go . . ."

Kit grinned at her like a lovesick puppy. He was starting to like this girl, despite her god parent. He starred at her eyes like they were water and he was stuck in the desert. He shook his head slowly. "I won't." Kit gave a small, loving smile. He pushed her hair away from her face. The red really stood out against the deep sea water. It looked very pretty.

Annabelle smiled, reached up, and ran her hand through his hair, still staring at him. It was nice to touch his hair. It felt nice. She grinned and her fingers lingered there. She was experiencing a whole bunch of emotions at the same time. She jerked her hand back when she accidentally shocked him. It was small, but she hadn't meant to. She burst out immediately, "Oh my Gods! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to! I just . . . I guess all of the emotions I'm feeling right now got the better of me! I haven't really honed my powers! . . . Oh my Gods . . ." She trailed off at the last sentence. She shifted her body, so that she was no longer floating on her back.

Kit was taken off guard by the shock. It felt like when you go to plug in your laptop cord and the prongs go in wrong. The damn thing shocks you. Kit just shook his head quickly, making a weird noise with his mouth. "Well, that woke me up." He chuckled. Kit smiled. He held her waist, keeping her afloat, just in case. What was she about to do before she shocked him? That was what was running through his head right now. He felt like the question was Road Runner, and his mind was Wile.E.Coyote. He just couldn't grasp it. It was a neverending chase. Back and forth, back and forth. Kit smiled down at her.

Annabelle laughed softly. She was still quite sorry about the shock, but that fact that his hands were around her waist again, was so distracting. She wrapper her arms around his next for 'extra balance'. She stared into his eyes again, looking into his soul with her electrifying blue eyes. Some of her hair was in the way, but she didn't really care. As long as she got to see Kit, everything was fine.

Kit smiled gratefully ate her. As she wrapped her arms around his neck, his skin tingled. Her felt warm inside. Gently and slowly, he pushed her hair back behind her ear. Kit wondered silently, What has come over me? She has influenced this. This beautiful girl has distracted me. And I'm pretty happy about it. He smiled and slowly, Kit tipped her chin and lay a gentle kiss on her cheek. He pulled back slowly, starring into her eyes. "You're beautiful, you know that right?"

Annabelle blushed at the kiss on the cheek. She had felt it's power, how Kit's lips felt amazing against her skin. She was still blushing when he spoke. She didn't have any clue as what to say in reply to that. Annabelle blurted something out, "If you say it, it must be true . . ." Annabelle kissed his lips softly.

Kit smiled against her lips. It felt so right. So, gentle but alluring. She had that effect on him. Kit pulled away after 8 seconds and placed one hand on her lower back and another on his upper back. "Do you still want to swim or do you want to sit on the beach?" Kit said, kicking his legs vigorously trying to stay afloat while holding Anna.

Annabelle thought about it for a moment. Out in the water, Annabelle would have an excuse to cling onto Kit; but on land it would be easier for her to move around. She wouldn't have the waves to deal with. She finally said, "While staying out here is awful tempting, as I would have an excuse to hold on to you, I think I'll settle for the beach." She winked at him when she said the first phrase. When she finished speaking she kissed him again, softly on the lips.

Kit smiled. "Suit yourself." Her threw her over his shoulder and trudged out of the water. Being a son of Poseiden had its perks. Like being able to walk on water. Kit grinned while he walked with Anna over his shoulder. Finally, his feet hitting dry sand, he set Anna down on the towel he had brought. Kit himself, sat on the sand next to her, his hands out behind him, one stretched behind Anna. "Anna, you are a normal swimmer." He said stupidly. Her mentally facepalmed. What the hell was he talking about?

Annabelle fought back her laughter as best she could, but let out a few giggles as Kit carried her to shore. Anna reached for her tote bag and her towel, just a few feet away once they had both sat down. She frowned at normal swimmer. She asked, "What's that supposed to mean?" She was confused, really confused. She stared at Kit. He was gorgeous, at least to her he was.

Kit grinned. "It means you know how to swim. You said you didn't but, in reality, you're pretty good." He looked unsure about his response. Was she mad. He hoped she wasn't mad. She was to special to let get away. Kit looked at her, a certain longing in his eyes. He couldn't help but, want to kiss her again. It was so damn good. He loved the feeling of her soft lips brushing against his. It was harmony.

Annabelle smiled. She didn't think of her as a good swimmer. She said, "Only because you were there. Anna grinned at him and then kissed him on the lips again, this time longer the the other times. She leaned into it and wrapped her arms around his neck again. It felt amazing and blissful to kiss Kit.

Kit smiled against her lips. He deepened it, wrapping his arms around her, rubbing her back. Kit loved kissing her. It was so, graceful. He slowly layed back in the sand, running his free hand through her hair. Her firey red hair was smooth and wave from the humidity. Kit smiled, pulling away for air. "You wanna go out for dinner tonight? My treat?" Kit smiled wide.
