I ran onto the beach, letting out a few breaths. Mercedes was already there, so I smiled at her. "Uh...hi."

I beat Adam to the beach and I was already in my bikini top and brown shorts with my legs kicked over the end of the dock. "It's about time, slowpoke!" I teased, slipping my sunglasses over my eyes and taking out my blue ponytail to let my white blonde hair fall loose against my back.

I pointed at her, taking in a few more breaths. "Eh, I could've just shadow-traveled but I figured I'd take the 'natural' way." I grinned, and raised an eyebrow, moving forward, and sitting down next to her. "And, you, my fair lady," I began, joking. "Are going for a swim." I smiled evilly, and placed my hand on her back, pushing her towards the water.

I laugh and fake scream as I plunge into the water bobbing to the surface and laughing, grabbing hold of Adam's shirt and pulling him into the cold water. I shake my head and lean on my back, floating in the water and smiling, watching him fall into the water.

-- I'd feel bad if I'd made Adam feel bad because he pushed Mercades into the water, causing her to hit her head on a sharp rock and die, floating dramaticaly to the surface in a bloody puddle... What should happen? --

I splashed into the water, laughing the whole way down. I came back to the surface, and pulled my shirt off, throwing it onto the dock. "Now I'm ready to swim," I said, grinning once more.

I splash some water at Adam, not noticing a tight grasp of seaweed around my ankle. I laughed and went underwater, trying to swim over next to Adam. Another one wrapped around my foot, yanking me underwater. I'd rather save my air and not scream, so I held my breath and tried unwrapping it, only causing my hand to get tangled up in a knot too.

I laughed, and watched a few bubbles come up. A few seconds later and nothing. I panicked a bit, and reached, feeling for her. I felt her shoulders, and put my head underwater, surprised at what I found. I gasped, taking in a big gulp of water, but I didn't care. I pulled on her shoulders, trying to get her out of the tangling plants that wrapped around her feet, keeping her underwater.

My face turned ghostly white and my eyes closed, my hair floating in the still water, my thrashing has stopped and I finally stopped breathing. I quickly felt somebody tugging at my shoulders that sent a surge of life through me, but I then stopped. I didn't want to die by drowning, but hey. It's better than a bloody mess by a Monster attack.

"No!" I shouted, letting a burst of bubbles out. I finally got her loose, but I knew it was too late. I could feel it. Her aura, her life force. It was gone. I pulled the lifeless body out onto the sand. Tears were pouring from my face, but it was covered up by the water that dripped off of me from the swim. Why was I always so useless? I was the son of Hades for the sake of gods! And I was just totally useless.

I lay there, dead as a doorknob. My skin was pale and I felt myself floating up off the ground. I could see my body, but then I got pulled under the ground, screaming for Adam. "Adam!" I screamed, reaching for him. My hand just fell through his leg. I couldn't grab anything, I didn't have any substance in me. I fell through the dirt and then collasped on the ground in a small, damp room with a thick river running through it.
