Hey again. I know I only recently re-did my character topic, but I didn't like the set up. So here is my new (and hopefully my last) character topic!

First of all please don't clog this topic. I would like to keep it so that the only posts are acceptance posts (or posts by Mods/Admins telling me how to improve things) and posts that I, myself, make. If you have any comments or want to dib a character etc just PM me.

Name: Gwendolen Flir.

Age/Birthday: 14/3 May.

Years in Camp: 3

Physical Appearence: Gwen has strawberry blonde hair that falls to roughly the middle of her back. It is slightly wavy and of average thickness. She has light grey eyes (the colour everything is when dawn is about to come). They can turn as hard as stone on the rare occasion that she is angry. Gwen is 5'8 and athletic-looking. She has a naturally light skin tone. She does not think of herself as pretty except everyone else thinks she is.

Personality: Quiet and friendly (like the dawn). Gwendolen will protect any friends she makes. She is a good listener and will hear out anyone's problems. Unless they are incredibly stupid ones. She hardly ever gets angry. Well, that's how it looks. She sometimes does get angry but keeps it from reaching her emotions.

Likes: Light and swimming. She also loves chocolate.

Dislikes: The dark, self-centered people.

Pets: Gwendolen has no pets as she spent 2 years running away from monsers.

Weapons: A dagger made of celestial bronze. It morphs into a charm on a necklace. Gwendolen is also quite good with a sword. She is average with all other weapons except axes, she finds them hard to lift.

Talents: Gwendolen can manipulate light and see very well in the dark, though she does not like it.

Other: Gwendolen prefers to be called Gwen.

Flaw: Gwen is often stubborn. It would take anyone ages to sway her from something she is set on.

Brief History: Gwen was a pretty normal child until she trned 8. That's when the monsters started to attack. Eos had given Allun a celestial bronze dagger if this ever happened, so they lived whenever they were attacked. Just because they could survive doesn't mean that they liked it. Allun especially hated it. He would come home from work, wanting to relax and instead he would have to fend off monsters. Finally her father got sick of it. He abandoned her in a forest when Gwen was 9. She spent around 2 years running from place to place. More and more monsters caught her scent so she was always in danger. Eventually she had a small mob following her. This was a bit strange because Gwen is the daughter of a minor Goddess. Finally a satyr called Briar found her and brought her to Camp Half-blood.

VALERIE STONE

Brief History: Valerie doesn't like to talk about her history, she finds it pretty upsetting. Valerie was an only child. She was incredibly bright and her father should've been proud, any other father would be. Unfortubately Thomas Stone is a very famous Biologist. He never had much time for his daughter. He also set incredibly high standards like getting 100% in every test. Of course Valerie could meet these standards most of the time, but when she didn't she had to face the dissapproval of Thomas. When Valerie was 10 he seemed to realise that he had no time for her. What do you do when you have a child you can't take care of? You put her up for adoption obviously. Naturally Valerie did not like this solution at all. She ran away while the van she was in was getting petrol. She wasn't chased after. Luckily for Valerie Athena was looking out for her. She guided Valerie to Camp Half-Blood. Valerie immediately realised that this place was meant to be her home. She has never left Camp since she arrived.

Physical Appearance: Valerie is quite beautiful. Her beauty is like the sun. It is open and bright. People have to stop evrey now and then to simply stare at it in awe. Valerie doesn't think much of it. It doesn't have any real use according to her.
Valerie has generous curves and long legs. Her upper body is also fairly tall. This leaves her standing at a height of 5'10. Valerie's arms and legs are slightly muscled from training at Camp Half-Blood.
Valerie's skin is a light tan colour. This is her natural skin tone. People often think that the colour will fade, but it never does. Valerie has concluded that it will always be like this. The color is very even, so it's possible to believe that it is natural.
Valerie has a very pretty heart shaped face. She has elegant cheek bones and absolutely no freckles. Her nose is on the smaller side, but it is still a pretty average size. Her lips are naturally pink and her lower lip is fuller than her upper one. Since we are speaking of her lips it should be noted they are often in a smile. This reveals Valerie's perfectly straight teeth. They weren't always like this. She had some minor orthodontics done on them that ended when she was nine. They have been perfect ever since. Valerie's teeth are also quite white. This is because she is a very studious brusher. Valerie's eyelashes are very dark, which is a bit strange because her hair isn't.
Unlike most Athena kids Valerie's eyes aren't grey. They are a leaf green. If you look closely there almost seems to be a kaleidescope sort-of pattern, but using only one colour. They are quite pretty and most people enjoy them.
Even if her eyes are different, Valerie's hair is the same as the hair of most Athena kids;blonde. In her case it starts to ringlet when it reaches a few inches below her shoulders. It falls to the bottom of her ribs in total.
Since she is fairly beautiful people sometimes mistake her for a daughter of Aphrodite. She gets offended whenever this happens though. Valerie thinks all of Aphrodite's kids are air-heads.

Personality: There are several aspects to Valerie's personality. She's not a complicated person, but she isn't a simple one either.
First there's her usual side. This mainly consists of her being bubbly and happy. At times she can be a bit random, but that's just part of her charm. Whenever Valerie meets a new person she is polite and very friendly.
There is also a sensible aspect of Valerie. This is always there, whether she's happy or not. Valerie would never do anything that takes an un needed risk. She finds it stupid and pointless. Why risk yourself? She prefers to plan ahead and doesn't really like to 'wing-it'.
There is another, more unseen side of Valerie. This is the side when she gets angry. Normally she is happy. But when she's stressed she tends to be snappy and irritated. This also happens when she hasn't had enough sleep.
Generally Valerie doesn't get angry. She can get annoyed and sometimes does. But she hardly ever gets really angry. When she does she keeps it from showing on her face. Then she goes and takes it out on a training dummy or something.
Valerie is a very organised person. She also strongly believes in saving things. Mainly money. If you spend it all what will you have left? She's also a bit of a perfectionist. She hates mess or unorganised things. Part of this comes from remebering everything, part of it is habit and part of it is just the way she is.
When Valerie has decided she likes a boy she can flirt like a pro. She also enjoys it. Valeries thinks it's fun. That's probably another reason why people sometimes mistake her for a daughter of Aphrodite.

Fatal Flaw: Hubris

Talents: Like the majority of the Athena kids Valerie is very smart. She is great at all academic and physical subjects. Basically school things in general. She has some other talents that are listed below:

Perfect Recall:
Yep, you guessed it, Valerie can remeber everything. Her memory isn't exactely photographic. It can be, when she needs to remeber pictures or text. It isn't when she remebers sounds, tastes or feelings.

Battle Strategy:
Again, like most Athena kids Valerie is great at Battle Strategy. She simply plans ahead and anticipates the opponents moves. 4 out of 5 times she anticipates her opponent's moves correctly.

On a completely unrelated note Valerie is excellent at archery.

Weapons: She has a bow and a quiver of arrows. They are charmed so they only appear when she wants them to. They disappear as soon as Valerie is done with them.

Birthday: 1 January (she was born in the year 4 B.C.)

Mortal Family: None (actually, she probably has great, great, great etc nieces or something but she doesn't know of any mortal family).

Years in Hunters: 2000 years (she joined in 12 A.D.)

Group: Gatherers (although after 2 millennia she could be in any group)

Brief History: Eliana's father loved Aglaia (although he didn't know she was a Goddess). Eliana reminded him of her so much that he never wanted Eliana to abandon him like Aglaia did. He forbad her to leave the house and, just to make sure, in the days he posted a guard outside her bedroom and in the nights he locked her door. She never even went into the garden, she had stay in her room all the time. Eliana had a big window to let light in, but only two tiny bits at the top could open (they were there to let air in and were never closed). Eliana's mortal brothers and their friends would often tease and torment her about not being allowed out of her room. Eventually she hated boys and men alike. A week before her 16th birthday Eliana started to prey to Artemis. She prayed for freedom. She did this every night in hopes that her prayers would be answered. Eliana woke very early on the morning of her 16th birthday, so early the sun wasn't up yet. She got up and went to see if the door was locked, she did this out of habit - always hoping that it might not be locked one day. And that day was today. The knob turned easily in her hand and there wasn't a guard outside. Eliana quickly got dressed and slipped out of her room. It took her a while to find an exit because she had never seen the rest of her house before. When she did get out she went straight to the forest. There Artemis was waiting for her and Eliana immediately joined the Huntresses. *Note: Eliana lived in Greece.

Physical Appearance: Eliana is quite pretty and very elegant. She has glossy blue-black hair that falls to the bottom of her ribs. Her eyes are the colour of a polished Amethyst and are framed by long black eyelashes. She has absolutely perfect teeth. Eliana's skin is quite pale with a hint of a tan (it is pale because she never went outside, but it has a hint of a tan because she always sat by her window). Her skin has no blemishes or freckles. She has slender shoulders and the rest of her body is slim as well. Her arms and legs are slightly muscled from using weapons, but it is only noticeable if you look really closely. Eliana is quite tall for her age. She has long legs and long fingers and toes. She has a sapphire stud earring in each ear and always wears them, even when she sleeps. Her only other jewelery is a silver chain bracelet (it is actually her hunting knife). Most boys like the look of her, but she despises them. They can see the disgust in her eyes so they generally stay away. Whenever foolish ones make a move on her she beats them up or gets Artemis to change them into a jackolope.

Personality: When with girls Eliana is kind, thoughtful and very approachable. She becomes attached to all the Hunters because she is possibly the oldest Huntress still around and remebers when all the other girls came. Whenever a Hunter passes away Eliana is always one of the first people to arrive for mourning. She is incredibly loyal to her friends and the lady Artemis. On the few occasions that she meets boys she becomes high and mighty and annoyingly superior. She hates men and boys and is not afraid to show it. Eliana is very inteligent. She speaks lots of languages. Sure, some of them aren't used anymore but they still count. She is quite competitive and she hates being beaten. She doesn't like people besting her and will keep trying to best them until she does. Luckily after 2016 years of living most people can't beat her so they don't see this more unpleasant side of her personality. Eliana loves being free and hates being restricted (by ropes or otherwise).

Likes/Dislikes:

Likes - Being a Hunter of Artemis (she regards it as the best decision of her life), her silver hunting knife (a gift from her mother, so it is very precious to her), her personal tent; a gift from Artemis for following her for 2 millenia, Greece, travelling to new countries/areas.

Dislikes - Boys/Men (it is more appropriate to say she hates them), tomatoes, conceited/spoiled people (boy or girl), bugs that bite, spiders, snakes (unless they are tiny).
Talents: Eliana is very good at singing and dancing as well as navigating and tracking. She is also very good at combat and healing but this only because she has had 2000 years of practice.

Weapons: For long range she uses her bow and arrows. For short range she uses her silver hunting knife. It morphs into a sliver chain bracelet when tapped on the hilt. She named it Spledor to honour her mother.

Other: Nowadays Eliana prefers to be called Eli. She is one of Artemis' most trusted advisors. She has been offered the Liutenant's (is that how you spell it?) position before, but Eliana does not wish to lead, only follow (but not mindlessly).

Dave Talent - Father
Well, where to start. He used to be really nice, until Kate turned 9 and he married Naomi. She tried to change him, told him his daughter was weird, had issues, etc. This would've been okay, but unfortunately Dave believed her. He sent Kate to all sorts of phycologists and guidance counsellers. When she remained the same he had her tested for anti-social diseases and things similar to that. Naturally Kate hated all this. She fought with him almost every day, it was a pleasant surprise when they didn't fight.

Naomi Talent - Step-mother
Kate's take on Naomi...pure evil. She came when Kate was 9 and instantly hated her. Maybe because Kate wasn't her child, but a child of Dave's with another woman, maybe some other reason. Bottom line was Naomi despised Kate, and the feeling was mutual. She didn't exactely neglect Kate, she still fed her and clothed her etc. But she didn't give her anything that wasn't needed. She gave Rose all the treats. She convinced Dave to get Kate tested. She changed Dave completely. Naomi was the main reason Kate ran away.

Rose - Step-sister
Rose is the 'perfect' child. She gets excellent grades, is fanatstic at sport, very pretty and very popular. Rose is like a mini-Naomi to Kate. They both hate her. Rose gets everything she wants and always sucks up to Dave. He startesd to like her better than his own daughter. Whenever Kate and Rose fought (which was pretty often since they were enemies) Rose would get all the sympathy. Even when she started it. She was another reason Kate ran.

Years in Camp: 0 - 1 day

Brief History: As you have read when Kate was 9 her father remarried a horrible woman named Naomi. She convinced Dave to send Kate to all sorts of 'help' places. This was because Kate was an outcast at her school. She sort of freaked people out because of her eyes and was seen as sullen and hostile. The reason she was like this was because she was constantly teased by Rose and her gang. Anyone who hung around Kate was labelled as an outcast as well. So naturally she was always alone. Eventually Kate got sick of it all and ran away from home when she was 13. She roamed around for a year and a half. During that time she attracted quite a few monsters. She had to be constantly on alert and she could never stay anywhere long. She managed to kill a few monsters with ice weapons she crafted herself, but more monsters soon replaced the old ones. There were about 10 that were always on her trail. Kate had no idea why since her mother was a minor goddess. She must have a strong aura. So, a week after she turned 15 Kate made it to Camp Half-Blood (she'd been sent a dream message telling her where to go).

Physical Appearance: Kate is on the taller side, standing at 5'7". She has long legs and arms as well as long fingers and toes. Her upper body is of average size, but most of her height comes from her legs. Kate has light skin. It is not completely white, it has a tinge of a tan amongst it. However she is generally lablled as fair. Strangely enough she doesn't burn easily and hasn't accumulated any freckles throughout her life. Kate has long ice blonde hair that falls to around 10 inches above her hips. It is generally silky and is rather thin. She usually leaves it out and hardly ever ties it up. Her eyebrows are just visible if you are standing a few feet away from her. Kate has a heart-shaped face with a button nose. Her cheek bones are high and cery well-structured. People usually comment on them, but Kate has never seen why. Kate's most memorable feature is her eyes. They are ice-blue and remind most people of a ghost. Most people are freaked out or at least disturbed by them. Her eyelashes are black and fairly long. Kate has no visible blemishes.

Personality: While she attended school Kate was ruled out as sullen and hostile. That couldn't be further from the truth. Kate is actually very warm and friendly. She used to love meeting new people but now she simply doesn'y mind it. Most likely this is because she was teased and tormented. When she meets new people Kate is quite polite, but not at all stiff. Generally her face doesn't match her eyes. They always seem to be glaring or coolly studying someone. This isn't Kate's fault. She has no control over them. Kate usually likes most people at camp and tries not to make enemies. When she doesn't like someone she will become sullen and hostile, or just cold and distant. Usually this oesn't happen. Kate is usually just annoyed by some people. If that happens she tends to ignore them. Kate is very truthful and hates lying. She will do it if necessary. Kate is a bit of a flirt when she has decided she likes a boy.

Fatal Flaw: Kate always puts others before herself.

Talents: Kate has a few talents. Her non-magical ones are: Ancient Greek. Late has a knack for this. Even though she has been at camp for a day she can still keep up with a conversation that uses basic vocabulary. She is also quite skilled at dodging attacks. Kate's magical abilities include:

Ice/Snow manipulation:
Like most Khione kids Kate can bend ice or snow to her will. She has had more practice at ice because she just freezes water to get it. Kate can summon an ice weapon. It is less powerful than Celestial Bronze, but since it has a bit of Kate's power in it they do the job.

Cold Tolerance:
Kate can withstand pretty much any cold temperature. She could stand in a blizzard and not freeze to death.

Weapons: Kate prefers to make her own ice weapons if she has to fight.

Mortal Family: Brittney Carter - Mother

Years in Camp: 6

Brief History: Aria was always an independent child. She loved exploring and going to places where she wasn't meant to be. This always got her into trouble at school, and at home as well. One day when Aria had just turned nine she was exploring the draws of her mother's desk. Little Aria came upon a very interesting and strange note. It was a love letter, written to her mother by someone calling himself Zeus. Since little children aren't good at keeping secrets and don't know when to not mention something Aria instantly ran to her mother to show her what she had found. Naturally Brittney was furious with Aria. Not because she had found the note, but because now that Aria had seen the word 'Zeus' monsters would be attracted to her. It turns out that Brittney was right. Not even a week later Aria came home from school telling her mother about a creepy man who kept staring at her. This pushed Brittney over the edge. She packed Aria's things and drove her to Camp Half-Blood immediately. She explained the situation to Aria on the way and then dropped her off at camp. Aria still visits her mother quite lot, but she never stays long.

Physical Appearance: Most people either describe Aria as pretty or intimidating. It's true that she does have a heart-shaped face with lovely cheek bones and perfect teeth. It's also true that she has a petite nose and long eyelashes. Most people don't notice these pretty features when they see her eyes. Aria's eyes are a bit complicated. The background colour is a deep shade of blue. This is strange enough by itself. Most people have light blue eyes. What is really strange is the electric blue flecks that zip around her irises. Most people think they actually move, but that's not true. It's just an optical illusion. Naturally most people find this at least a bit intimidating. The only people who don't are Aria's half-siblngs. Aria's hair is far more normal than her eyes. It is pitch black in color and falls to her elbows. Aria likes leaving it out but will tie it up for training etc. Aria is tall and quite strong. Her legs and arms are slightly muscled from training but you can only see this from a metre away. Aria's skin used to be light in colour. Now it is more tanned because she loves lying or sitting in the sun. Aria used to have freckles, but they have disappeared as her skin grew darker.

Personality: Aria is a bit of a complicated person. Firstly, she is independent. Aria will always speak out for what she believes in. No one can push her around and she doesn't like receiving help from others. Despite this Aria loves helping others. She does understand if they don't want her assistance though. Secondly, Aria can be annoyed by seemingly small things. She will snap at you and probably scare you at the same time. Aria does have a temper when it does flare up. The main things that anger her are discriminative people and stupid people. They just get on her nerves. Aria usually keeps her true anger in place though. She generally just shows people her annoyance.It's quite easy to annoy Aria. She can also get frustrated quite easily. Aria is a natural leader. She automatically takes charge but she somehow keeps from appearing or sounding bossy. Of course, Aria can be bossy if she wants. Aria has loads of energy. She is hardly ever tired or lazy physically. She can be lazy emotionally (not being bothered to be kind) but physically she's always up for a game. Climping the Rock Wall is one of Aria's favourite things to do. A random fact about her is she loves heights. Where most people (even those who aren't afraid of heights per se) are afraid Aria feels alive. Maybe this is because she knows she won't die if she falls.

Fatal Flaw: Pride

Pets: None

Talents: Aria has two major talents. Her first is lightening control. Aria can summon lightening at will and she can shoot it about 3 metres through the air. She is also completely resistent to it (if she gets hit by it she feels a bit strange but there are no major injuries). Her second major powers is air pressure control. This means she can basically stand in the air, but she can't manipulate it in any way. There are a few limits to this though. Firstly she can only control it on herself. It doesn't work if she holds someone; she just can't stay in the air. The second limit is she can only do it for five minutes max before she takes a break. If she does it for a whole five minutes Aria cannot control the air pressure anymore that day.

Weapons: Aria likes using her lightening because it's more exciting but when she can't she uses a celestial bronze dagger. It morphs into a lightening charm on a bracelet.

Celeste Brown

Name: Celeste Brown

Age: 16 (actually 116)

Birthday: 25 December

Gender: Female

Godly Parent: Bia, goddess of force

Years in Hunters: 100 years

Group: Warriors

Brief History: Celeste's history is quite different compared to other people's. But then again, every history is different. In this case Celeste's history started in 1896 when baby Celeste turned up on her father's door step. He loved her the instant he laid eyes on her. Celeste was given everything she needed and wanted. Celeste didn't become spoiled though, that's just not how she acts. One day, when Celeste and her father were travelling back from a town they had visited, some robbers caught them on the highway. These robbers were particularly violent and they killed Celeste's father. The only reason they kept Celeste around was they thought she was pretty. Late in the night Celeste had managed to untie herself. Her kidnappers were obviously idiots because they hadn't posted a guard. Celeste escaped into the night and met Artemis and the other Hunters. She joined because she had no other family and now she was disgusted by men. They had killed her father for no reason. She never had any second thoughts to this day.

Physical Appearance: Celeste is relatively pretty. She has smooth and clear skin that is a very light golden colour. Her eyes are almond shaped and are dark brown. Her lips are naturally red and her hair is also dark brown with lighter brown strands. It falls to the bottom of her ribs. Celeste prefers to leave it out. She usually wears a hair tie on her wrist in case it annoys her so much she has to tie it up. A girl has to be prepared right? Her eyebrows are a bit darker than her hair and are relatvely thin, but not pencil thin. Celeste's face is on the longer side and she has an average side nose that turns up at the end. Her cheekbones are slightly prominent, but not enough that people comment on them. Celeste is tallish. She has some slight curves. She has long legs, arms, fingers and toes. Her teeth are generally white and of average straightness. They didn't have reliable orthodontits in her time so she couldn't get them perfectly straight.

Personality: The best way to describe Celeste is quirky. She is often described as random and a bit strange. Sure, she thinks and wonders about things that most people don't even bat an eye towards. That doesn't mean she's strange, does it? This is what most people see since it's the majority of Celeste. It's her outer layer. She does have some other traits when you crack her shell. She can be fiercely independent and is most of the time. In no way at all is Celeste sensible. She loves being wild and carefree, but she can still do hard work when needed. Celeste is very loyal to her friends. She is overall pleasant. Unlike most Hunters Celeste isn't cold and frigid towards males. She doesn't like them, but she can still treat them expressionlessly. Most Hunters can't help but show their disgust. Celeste is very good at hiding her emotions, but most of the time she just doesn't bother. Who has the time? Celeste can be very persuasive when she wants. But, again, she usually doesn't bother.

Likes/Dislikes:

Likes: The ocean, archery, honeycomb, dugongs, the colour silver

Dislikes: Spiders, mosquitoes, bats, males, pink

Talents: Celeste can push people far futher than average humans. Her max is about ten metres when she's really trying. That's the only limit to this power because all she's doing is pushing someone. Celeste can also send an invisible wall of force that can knock people back. It only lasts for a few seconds and can only knock them two meters at the most. It cannot be used as a force field. Celeste just doesn't have the stamina to keep it up. She can only do this three times a day max. And she can't do it three times in a row. She needs at least half an hour between each wall of force.

Weapons: A silver hunting knife is Celeste's short range weapon. Her bow with a quiver of full of arrows is her long range weapon and the one she uses most. They are both silver.
