Coping was not an easy thing for me.

I suppose it would've been, but not under the circumstances. My sister had died about a week ago, and I still wasn't over it. Fauna (even though I may not have admitted it) was one of my best friends.

And my only sibling left.

So I sat in the sun. It wasn't warm enough for tanning, but if it was, I would've been. SO I just sat on a blanket, sunglasses on, shoes off, just stting. It was boring me.

Summer skipped down to the beach. She had nothing to do and seemed even more jittery than usual. She didn't know why. It was probably just random. To Summer's delight she saw someone else sitting on the sand. Yay, someone to talk to. "Hi." Summer said brightly.

I looked over slowly, and slid my sunglasses down my nose. "Hey," I said casually. Thegirl seemed younger than me. She also seemed energetic, by her tone of voice. And trust me, I should know. I was one of the most social people around this place.

"My name's Summer." she said. Maybe that was a bit random. But, oh well. Summer was just like that. "Nice to meet you." Summer added helpfully. Maybe she would find a new friend in this girl. Summer was always up for meeting new people. She loved doing it for some reason.

"I'm Fae," I said. I slipped my sun glasses back over my eyes, and looked out at the water. I flipped my hair behind my shoulder, and sighed. "Nice to meet you too," I said.

Summer gazed over the water like Fae. That was when she realised how high the sun was in the sky. "Oh shivers!" she exclaimed. "I'm meant to be at sword practice. Sorry, bye!" Summer scrambled off the beach and off to the arena. She could be a bit forgetful sometimes.
