Watching. Watching the leaves float down. Effortless, and so natural. Something that always occurs. Always the same, but yet always different.

I watched the leaves fall by my head while I paused to take a break. My hand was getting a bit cramped from all the detail I put into the leaves on my picture.

Usually, you'd see my at my cabin, playing WOW (World of Warcraft), on my laptop. But, my boyfriend Wll had it. So, I cope this beautiful day by drawing.

I finally gave up, because i needed to give my hand a serious rest, and looked up at the trees. Laying on the ground, the sun shined, but the trees made a canopy over my eyes, shielding them from harm. This was calm. Blissful calmness.

Todd wandered up and said "Hey, What are you drawing?" He fiddled with a necklace which is a beautiful bronze owl attached to a copper chain. The owl had large sea green eyes like Todd. There was intricate detail carved into the necklace.

I cocked my head at the newcomer. Then, I looked at the necklace. It looked like something that I would draw. Lots of detail, and something interesting. Except I'd make it a real owl, flying through a sunset that clashed with the green in the eyes.

"Just the trees," I said thoughtfully.

Todd said "Cool, do You draw a lot?" he took the owl off from around his neck and press the golden heart in the centre And it transformed into a huge celestial bronze sword with silver owl wings and part of handle.

I wasn't suprised. I knew a lot of demigods had stuff like that. Normal things that somehow transformed into something useful to a demigod. I didn't. I like my thing more blunt and to the point. Like my scepter mace. I was in the log next to me. Safe from eyes, but easy to get pur of needed.

"Yeah. It's one of my many hobbies," I said, looking at the sword.

Todd raised an eyebrow and said, "well, it's very good I don't draw very much but I do ride Horses and pegasus a lot I own a pegasus his name is Peppermint he's the only Cremello pegasus in the stables i'm quite proud to have him though he doesn't talk highly of strangers"

He twirled the sword in his hand and stared at the wings tracing a finger of the intricate detail of the wings.

"Nice," I said. I added more shading to my picture, and flipped to a new paper. Absent-mindedly, I started drawing a pegasus. I was good at horses, and angel wings. Whynot meld them together, and there you had a pegasus. I had my colored pencils with me, so I could make some quick colors on it if I wanted to.

Todd pressed something on the wing of the sword and it changed back it a necklace. He put it back around his neck and said, "So what are you drawing now?" He stuck his hands in his pockets and started to whistle absently.

"A pegasus," I said. I had finished the head and neck, and now was working on the body. The wings were easier than I had thought. They were folded gainst the body, and were a lot more detailed than I had meant them to be.

Todd looked at the picture and smiled, "It's very good I like the wings the details great." He leaned against a tree he smiled and said, " I remember the first thing I ever drew. it was my necklace filled seven trash cans of crumpled paper trying to get the detail right. It didn't work out very well"

I laughed as I finished the wings. "Yeah. Drawing takes lots of natural talent. You can't really be taught to draw. It comes natural," I said. Of course, some people would tell me that practice makes perfect. I suppose it does if your drawing something from a picture. But for making something from your imagination takes skill.

Todd shrugged and said, "it's great when I draw I don't do enough detail i'm great at shading and coloring but i'm terrible at detail. " Todd pulled out a notepad out of his pocket and opened it to small drawings. He passed it to them to look at.

I set down my sketch pad, and took the little notepad. It was full of nice drawings, but nothing of the sort I did. My drawings HAD to be perfect. i couldn't stand when something was wrong with my drawings. "They're nice," I said cheerfully.
