Ben jogged along the beach, enjoying the early morning air. It was times like these he wished he still had an iPod, but his uncle had taken that with the rest of their things. He came to a stop and looked out over the water. Grinning, he peeled off his shirt and shoes, and dove in. He came up for air a few yards out from shore and pushed his hair out of his eyes. Glancing back towards the shore, he noticed some there. "Good morning!" He said happily.

Ben smirked slightly at the girl's rather... Victorian syntax. "Quite well, madam, and what of you?" He swam a little closer to shore, sitting in the shallows. "I'm Ben, by the way."

She should have been offended that he was taking the mick of her by copying her chosen speech pattern, but she couldn't help but laugh.
"I'm doing well as well. Thanks for asking, Ben." She paused for a second, flicking a loose strand of her fair hair out from her line of vision, and sitting down on the sand. Her legs were getting tired; she had been standing up on the shoreline since the sun rose over the horizon. It was a nice place to think, in her opinion. "My name's Francesca, by the way. Daughter of Khione, if you hadn't guessed. Why would you? it's not obvious or anything." the earlier century's way of speaking slipped from her tongue, and she returned to using the vocab of a modern day human. Well, it might be more grammatically correct, but you get my drift.

Ben grinned. Modern speech came more naturally to him- and the girl was joking, that was definitely good."Meh. You can never really guess someone's parent. I mean, I look like the son of the god of football players, not the god of medicine. Thay's asclepius, by the way. Not Apollo."

She nodded in agreement. Time for her unneeded knowledge to play it's part.
"I hate how people think that Apollo is the God of Medicine, when he's only the God of Healing! It's so unfair to Asclepius and his children; they get pushed under the rug sort of. Undermined and stuff." she raged on, before realising that she had no real grounds to rant on the subject. "Sorry, Ben. I just hate it when people get their facts wrong."

Ben laughed. He liked this girl, definitely. "No need to apologize. You're entirely right. I remember one time I dated an Apollo kid- can't really call it dating, though- and he gave me a kiss on the cheek while we were manning the infirmary and people freaked out. Hell, I assumed my brother was an Apollo kid when I first met him because I hadn't seen him in Cabin 2 before!" He laughed, and pulled himself halfway out of the water, the sea foam splashing against his back as he sat cross legged on the sand.
