Wow. What. A. Day. I've just got back to my home in the forest, it's not particularly big, but, as said, it's home. I lay down on the bed, made of branches and leaves, and it creaks beneath me. I think back over the day and what's happened: Castor arriving; that girl in New York, I wonder if I'll see her again; and that massive Cyclops, I didn't think we'd survive that.

(One of those bubble things where someone thinks back and it goes Do-do-do-do)

I knocked on the door of the house, wearing my human disguise with my most suck-up face on, in case a parent answers the door.

"Mom!" the boy calls out as he hears a banging on the front door. For some reason, the Allocks never let him answer the door, just in case someone stole him away from them. And he understood. One of their precious boys had already died. They wanted to keep the other one alive too. "Someone's at the front door!" he waited for a moment to hear a reply, but couldn't, and was forced to run upstairs to the study where Janine Allock was working. He repeated the line again, this time it received an answer.
"You can go answer it, Castor. It could be one of your little friends." she smiled sweetly at her adopted son, as the hyperactive child's footsteps thudded down the stairs, almost as fast as Lars Ulrich's bass pedalling. He twisted the door handle, coming face to face with a person.
“Uhh, hey there. What do you want?” The child asked, slightly nervous about the stranger on his doorstep.

"Hmm, well, I'm not sure how to tell you this..." I look at the kid, messy brown hair with skulls on his shirt. Fits this century well, though I'll never get it. "You're the son of a God." I wait for an answer, probably something sarcastic, kids say things like that a load now.

"Uhh... Okay?..." Castor couldn't think of anything else to say. He already knew he was adopted, and his real mother was dead, but he never factored a father in the equasion. "Is it alright if I call my mom down to speak with you?" he asked the man, ready to shout Mrs.Allock if things got out of hand.

"Yeah sure, she already knows, I think." I wait as he shouts him mom downstairs. "Hi, Mrs. Allock, erm, so, yeah. I need to speak with you about your son." I look her straight in the eye. "It's time."

"What about my son? Are you from the school? Has he been misbehaving again? I swear, he'll improve. It's been hard for him. First, his mother died, and now there's his brother..." she kept on gushing out excuses for her little boy, as Castor facepalmed internally.
"I don't think she knows, dude. She's my adoptive mother, not my real one." he tells him, lowering his voice so that Mrs.Allock finds it harder to hear him. He hated that she wasn't his real mom, and whenever he had problems, had to refer to her as `adoptive mother.` But still, it got him out of things easier.

"Right, well, this may be a shocker then, and there's a good chance she won't believe me." I whisper back to him, while his mom babbles on.
"Ehm, Mrs. Allock, I'm not from school. See, your son's real father, well, hmm, hard to explain, he was a god." I scratch the back of my head. "We don't know who yet, but his smell is definately of a Half-Blood."

He had to give her credit, Janine handled the whole situation rather calmly.
"Okay... Is this true, Castor?" she turned to the young boy, the worry etched on her face.
"I don't know, mom. But I'm going to believe what this guy is saying." Castor tells the elderly woman, biting his lip again. "Go on, dude... What have you come to tell us?" he turns back to the guy who knocked on the door, bracing himself for the worse.

"Well, you've reached a certain age Castor, when it's extremely likely for, monsters, to well, find you. And that's not good." I look at Mrs. Allock worryingly, hoping she'll agrre to my request. "So, I've been sent to, let's say, escort you to a special camp where other Half-Bloods like you are safest." I smile. "That sound good?"

"I don't know... Mom? Can I go?" Janine bit her lip, just as her son had been doing a few minutes ago. She had already lost one son. Could she lose the second too? Then again, if the monsters came here, they could all be dead.
"Okay. Castor, you can go... Pack your rucksack, and leave quickly. The faster you go, the safer you'll be." she tells her son, smiling gently at the other boy. "Thanks you>" she muttered quietly as her son came back downstairs, carrying the black and white checkered bag. It had been packed for a while, just in case of evacuation. Castor always was a precautious boy.

"Right then, let's go." I turned round and headed toward the road. When he catches up, "You've been in an airplane before right? Who's your dad? Would Zeus wanna kill you?" I waited for a reply but then I remembered he doesn't know his dad. "Oh yeah... Where's the nearest main road, we'll get a cab to the airport."

"yeah, I've been in an airplane before... Travelled all the way to Australia, so I'm guessing no-one wants to kill me. Why would they want to kill me again?" Castor asked him, as he directed the man towards the closests main road, which just happened to be Jefferson Avenue. It was easy to get confused and lost in this part of time. When he was younger, Castor used to get seperated from his mom all the time here. Noting the blur of yellow around him, Castor stuck out his hand, signalling for a taxi to stop. When one stopped for them, they clambered in, and Castor asked his helper "Where to, boss?"

I got in the cab and instantly the smell hit me. I don't normally take cabs so I guess I'm not used to it. It was disgusting, the vehicle obviously hadn't been cleaned since it was made.
"Airport please." I hand the driver the green stuff and we're off.
"So, kid, you any idea who your dad is?"

"Honestly? No. I mean, I didn't even know my parentage was abnormal 'til you knocked on my door, dude. What is your name, anyway? I don't want to call you dude all the time..." Castor answered the dude's question, and asked one of his own. He saw the way that this guy reacted to the stench that filled the taxi. "I would apologize for the smell, but this is Las Vegas. What did you expect? Think it would smell of roses?"

"Demetrius, also, I'm a Satyr. I'll show you what I mean later, at Camp." I adjusted my 'feet', then tried to stand the smell of the car.
"We nearly there?" I shout to the driver, over the roar of the engine. Must be an old car too, 'cause it's engine is packing in.
"We'll be there when we get there!" He shouts back, I sense the anger and I can't blame him. Who wants to sit in a rusty, old car that smells like a dump, for a whole day, everyday, driving people round?

"So, how many miles to this camp thing? Is it over 9000?" Castor asked Demetrius, dropping in a meme on the way. He was starting to get figety and bored. Which was pretty easy for him, due to the ADHD and stuff like that... "What's a Satyr? Are we nearly there yet? Why are we going to the airport? And you've still not answered why someone might want to kill me. I'm just a normal kid." Castor's chatter filled the car with sound, though it wasn't louder than the old banger's engine. But there was a reason for his inane talking. Hopefully, the sound of his own voice would block out that of his brother's in his own head.

The kid kept chatting on and on about random questions to do with his Demi-Godness.

"I'm talking a lot? I didn't notice... Yeah, I'm fine." Castor nodded, answering Demetrius' query. It seemed that Pollux had ran out of questions for Castor, so in turn, Castor ran out of questions for Demetrius. He sat in silence for the rest of the taxi trip, not uttering a single word as they got out of the car when they reached the airport. Castor lugged his bag onto his back, savouring the silence. He had only one question to ask. "Where do we go now?"

"New York." I reply bluntly, else much more to say. I head over to a counter and buy two NY tickets, then head over to the shopping mall place. I sit down in a café and order a soda. The kid orders too.

Where to start? Castor racked his brain to try and decide which question to ask first, taking a sip of the coca cola in front of him.
"I guess I'll ask the obvious one first... What is a demi-god? Wait, no, I can answer that one myself. I guess I'll ask... Why would someone want to kill me? I'm pretty sure I've asked that one at least three times." he tilts his head to the side, looking at Demetrius with his large brown eyes, urging him to answer as fast as possible.

"You know the Gods are all family right?" Kinda rhetorical, he should know that. "And well, families don't always get along. So, when a God gets angry at another God, they take it out on the children 'cause they're not allowed to hurt each other." I explain to him, then take a drink of my soda. "So say you're the son of Athena, I wouldn't recommend going in boats 'cause she and Poseidon don't get on." I take another drink.

"Well, I'm pretty sure I'm not a son of Athena. Why would she dare step into the downtown of Las Vegas? 'Cuz she's like, the nerdy god, and downtown is pretty rough. I heard from my adoptive mother that my real mom used to live there and stuff..." he told Demetrius, trying to block out Pollux’s pondering about who his god parent could possibly be. So far, they both had no idea whatsoever. He hoped that would change soon.

"Don't insult the Gods, kid. I thought you'd at least know that." I take another drink. "And if you're real Mom used to live in Las Vegas, I'd put a bet on Ares or Apollor being your dad."
I lean back in my chair and wait for him to ask more questions.

There was too much of an urge to laugh, and that would ruin the mood, and atmosphere. "I guess I don't have any more questions... Can we play I-Spy whilst we wait for the plane?" Castor didn't particularly like the game, it was merely the only one he could think of at that moment in time...
