As I began to walk out of camp, I had a glint of hope. I normally hated every guy I met, but Alex seemed different. I straighted out my dress for the millionth time. I had my messy hair up in a sloppy bun with this black clip thing. Well, not just anything black clip thing. It was my bow. If I snapped the clip shut three times in a row, it would turn into my bow. I had my quiver of arrows tuck into my boot. The weapons weren't there because of Alex, but because we were demigods. I just wanted to be safe. After I passed Thailia's Pine, I looked around. Alex wasn't there, no one was. I walked over to my motorcycle, threw on my helmet, and drove off to the resturaunt.

Alex: Alex sighed and he looked down at his clothes. The restaurant they were going to was supposed to be fancy but the closest to fancy he had was a T-shirt with tuxedo print his friend got him for his birthday. He sighed and turned away from the mirror just to have a pillow thrown in his face. He groaned and looked up at his half sister who was laughing. So he wouldn't blow up on her he grabbed his jacket and threw it on. He quickly ran to where he parked his bike and took off down the road.

I waited outside the resturaunt. It was really funny. The well dressed and snobby people who walked in looked at me like I was something they found in the garbage. I guess the dress and jewelry was okay, but it was probably the boots and makeup that set them off. Once Alex showed up I smiled. I gave him a quick hug. "Come on in." I told him. As we walked in, we caused a ripple. Two teenagers who were under-dressed was not acceptable to them. "Table for two?" I asked the guy at the desk. "Do you have a reservation?" he said in a snooty British accent. "No, but-" I was cut off by his laughter. "Well, I'm sorry little girl, but reservations are needed if you would like to eat here." He said. I was boiling. I whispered to Alex, "Let me take care of this." Then I leaned over the desk and spoke in my best charm speak, "You will let us eat here. Infact, you will give us the best service possible." The guy went glassy-eyed. "I will let you eat here......I will give you the best service...." He mumbled in a monotone voice. Eventually, he escorted us to a nice table and handed us menus. I skimmed through then looked up at Alex, "This is going to be great." I said.

Alex: Alex smiled and hugged her back. By the looks of the place they were obviously rejects but he was used to it. When she charm-speaked he smiled wide for he was glad to have an advantage. They were lead to their table and they looked at the menu. "Holy crap!" Alex exclaimed as he stared at the prices. "These prices are outrageous!" People began to stare at him but he ignored them and brushed it off.

I'd been looking at the food, not prices. I gasped when I saw that a steak cost $50! Then I realized something. "I'll charmspeak them into letting us eat free!" I whispered to Alex.

Alex: He relaxed the minute he heard free. He let out a sigh of relief and smiled at her. "Gods sometimes I get to jealous of charmspeakers." He exclaimed with a wide smile.

I gave him a cheeky smile. "Why thank you." I said. We ordered our food to the timid waitress and I slouched back in my chair. "So? We barely know each other. What your last name? Where are you from?" I asked. It was true. I barely knew the guy I was on a date with.

I told him the story. How I'd been hunting one March morning. How I'd been sitting 50-feet-high in a random oak tree, how a bird had hit my head and I was brushing it away when I lost balance. And how I'd managed to grab onto a branch, then swing to the ground. "So, maybe you have the right idea about staying on the ground." I chuckled.

By the end of the story he just stopped. "That's why I hates heights. Because when I am off the ground all the images come back."

I shook my head. Once our food came, we ate in silence. After I charmedspeaked the waitress and manager to let us no pay, Alex and I walked out the door. "Come on, let's go to this pond." I told him. I drove toward the pond, just outside the town center. We both sat down on the hill. I looked at Alex. "I really like you." I told him. KISS ME ALEX! I thought.

It was that perfect moment that most girls died for. As he kissed me, I felt something, a spark, a feeling. I hadn't met a guy like this ever in my bland and, up until now, pointless existence. The kiss lasted a minute, then we stared into each others eyes. The feeling, the spark, still lingered.
