Spencer lays on his towel, and sighs loudly. He slowly closes his eyes, and just lays there. He was very bored, and he had no idea what to do. Besides it was hot out, and he felt like being lazy. Maybe he would go for a swim or something later. For now, he was just going to lay there and be lazy. It was always nice to spend a day being lazy. It wasn't something that Spencer was able to do all of the time. He spent most of his time, either reading or practicing sports. Then when he was at home, he spent his time studying and trying not to bother his family.

Spencer sits up slowly and sighs. He places his arms behind his back, and leans back supporting himself with his hands. He looks around at all of the other people at the beach and rolls his eyes. The other people at the beach were just a bunch of couples, who could get a room. He sighs and looks out at the water. It looked really nice, but he didn't feel like swiming yet. He'd wait for it to cool down some more, before getting in.

Spencer looks around once more, and this time notices a girl. He thought he had seen her before, but he wasn't sure. He squints, trying to get a better look at her. Then so she wouldn't notice him, he looks away. He had seen her around before, but had never talked with her. All Spencer knew was that the girl is a daughter of Athena, or atleast she's in the Athena cabin.

Toby Cane [daughter of Athena, Greek goddess of the wisdom and battle strategy.]

Toby, strolled along the beach, kicking up sand as she tried to avoid overly expressive couples. The book she was carrying kept nipping at the back of the demigod's mind, even during her extensive search for a quiet place to read. The book was one of many in the Pretty Little Liars series. She had discovered the books when researching researching novels with "Toby" characters. In her selection, the Toby boy committed suicide early on, but the story was still captivating, and it never seemed to leave the bookworm's mind. There had to be more to Mr. Cavanaugh than the author had let on. The Jenna Thing--there had to be more, right?

With her book still on her mind, Toby sat down next to a boy she and seen only in passing. He was just about the only boy not laying underneath a girl at the beach, but what had she expected? Coming to the beach was always makeout central, but it was also a nice place to let go at camp. There weren't too many places like that, and Toby took advantage of every one of them. Before opening her book, Toby looked over at Spencer and turnede up the corners of her lips into a smile. "Are you as uncomfortable as I am?" Toby joked, leaning back until she was propped up on her arms. "All I wanted to do was come out here and read. But no, I have to watch the show."

Looking down at the sand, Toby opened her book and tried to begin reading, but she couldn't focus. It was something about the boy next to her. She remained silent for a few minutes before finally looking up from her story. "I'm Toby."

Spencer looks over at the girl, as she starts talking. He smiles lightly, and polietly listens to her. That's one habit that had stuck with Spencer from home, he always had to listen to everything someone says, he just felt rude if he didn't. Spencer hated that he just had to be like that, but yet he didn't know how to just not do it. Though it's not that he minded listening to the girl, she was atleast intresting to listen too. Spencer gently throws his head back and lets out a loud laugh. He then turns his head to look at her. "I know exactly how you feel. The beach is so pretty, but all of this makes it torture to go to"he says as he gestures towards all of the couples.

Spencer then studies the girl for a bit. She was very pretty, really pretty actually, almost like an Aphrodite camper. Well she was as pretty as the Aphrodite campers, but Spencer could tell that she is far to intellegent to be a daughter of Aphrodite. No offence to Aphrodite or her children, but they tend to be airheads. Spencer then leans over to see what she was reading. It was some book called Twisted below the title it said, A Pretty Little Liars Novel. there was also a picture of a doll. Spencer blinks and rubs the side of his head. This book seemed um, intresting? He would never read however, it was probually a total girly book.

Spencer then looks back at Toby, a small grin on his face. "Well it's nice to meet you Toby. I'm Spencer"he says softly. He then leans back, resting on his arms and his hands. He was waiting for the couples to start leaving, then it would be a whole lot better.
