hello, i'm llama/lama glama/moo and the title is also the title of a song by rilo kiley yay. i procrastinate. i make a character every few months. i rarely have inspiration. i decided to make some characters. they will be stored here and everyone can see what i did. i make and own every graphic i post on this page. okay this is not a very good intro.

mortal family -- Besides her half-siblings and birth father, Kayleigh has no family. More on that will be in her history.

god parent -- Hypnos, God of sleep.
claimed -- Yes, she has been claimed.
years in camp -- Three years in camp; since 2009; since she was 14.
stay-time -- Year-rounder.

brief history -- As if such a pretty girl could have such a horrible background, but she does. Born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, Kayleigh has always been profiled as a girl with a southern twang. Her parents were part of the richer citizens. Kayleigh born into this loving, wealthy family as the youngest child out of six other children. It was quite cozy, thought, having so many siblings to support you. By the time she was two, the eldest two moved out to China. Kayleigh cannot even remember their names, now. Her "father" was a hard-working doctor, while her mother was a highly famous lawyer in town. All of their profits went into their family, and Kayleigh easily and quickly got used to having it all.
When she was eight, her mother began to be more distant from the family. She spent more time away from the household and was called on business meetings more often. Nobody, at the time, cared of her activity, even when she moved out. She still had money going into the family, so they figured it wasn't anything fatal. Life went on normal, and Kayleigh was the happiest she could be. A big, loving family. The only thing wrong was that Kayleigh was a bit ditsy, and even when she was ten, had a bit of trouble figuring out that all of the people in her household she looked up to were the greediest people ever. Her older sister, the one closest to her, was a klepto. Her father only worked as a doctor for the money, though Kayleigh aspired to be one because of him, and her mother as lawyer for the same reason. All of her other siblings tried for money no matter how old. It was what kept the Dupree's going.
When Kayleigh was 12, her mother came for a visit. A visit she'd never forget. Along with her mother was a young man, only about 20. She admitted to have been having an affair with this man for years. Her father, outraged, stated that they would be divorcing. For once, Kayleigh was checked into reality, and everything changed from then on out. But, this change was not the biggest she had.
One evening, Kayleigh decided to stay with a friend. Her father agreed to this, and shipped her off to the stranger's house. While she was away, at night, her father lit his house up, killing him and all of his remaining children. Jealousy and depression had hit him like a train, and he could not deal with it. Before Kayleigh could get the news the next afternoon, her mother did. And, with her mother feeling ashamed and like she had chosen the wrong man, a suicide followed. In less than 24 hours, all of the people Kayleigh had cared about were gone. And they weren't coming back.
Finding out the news was rough on Kayleigh. She was only 12, and had no idea where to go. Like her father, depression was one of the first symptoms she had gotten. Kayleigh stayed with the same friend she had stayed the night with. After a two being with them, Kayleigh decided to run away. It didn't do much good, as only a week away, Kayleigh became sick. With her knowledge of doctoring, she was able to regain enough energy to continue on. A month later, Kayleigh realized that she had no plan on where she was heading. That's when three shady figures introduced themselves to her. They were also running away. Grudgingly, Kayleigh agreed to join them on their journey. Her acquaintances were not much of fun, especially now that Kayleigh had seemed to shut out anything enjoyable. They reached their destination, a hill, after almost three months of non-stop moving. Kayleigh was baffled once arriving. She read the sign, which she never knew was in Greek until later on, and found herself at a camp full of constantly training people her age.
She was quickly introduced to the world of demi-gods and all of their ways. Kayleigh was stubborn and refused to be labeled as a myth. Chiron, who she had hated ever since he spoke a word to her, explained on how her mother was one to be cheating a lot, and the man she knew as her father was her mother's husband who was dumb enough to believe that she was his child. Hypnos, God of sleep, claimed her instantly after this explanation.

physical appearance -- Kayleigh: a girl who used to be known for always wearing a smile. Friends of her family say that, when she was born, she had on a smile. She looked like a light to people. Once the light died, so did that smile. She used to have an a appearance of joy. Poofy skirts and floral-print shirts - they can all be found in a blue chest next to her bed. But, after the incident, Kayleigh no longer cared about her looks. You could look at pictures of her from two years ago, and pictures from her today, and you may not even believe she is the same person.
There's nothing out of the ordinary with Kayleigh's "basic" features. Her height is average for her age: around 5'6". She is not too tall, so don't expect Kayleigh to stand-out of the crowd as a giant. Then there's her weight. A little underweight, Kayleigh is around 120 lbs. Though, she is not boney. When Kay first went through her "depressing" stage, eating wasn't something she was fond of. That's why her weight may seem to be so little. As she's recovered from this part of life, though, Kayleigh's weight has increased.
Then, there are the other parts of Kayleigh's appearance. And those may not seem sot basic. Her blond hair is thin and flowy, but she gave up on taking care of it a while ago. It lacks volume and style, and Kayleigh usually just pins it up, or leaves it messy. It's naturally wavy/curly. Her eyes are very round, but usually have bags under them. They are a light green color and seem to have a bit of blue mixed in with them. Kayleigh is pale. Her skin is cream-colored. It's not unusual for her to get acne and pimples of sorts; she never really takes care of her skin. It's a mixture of utter laziness, and a lack of effort to do anything.
Kayleigh doesn't really care about her appearance. It's not something she thinks a person should look for when trying to make friends or anything. That's basically her excuse for not even trying to fancy herself up.
personality -- At first meet, Kayleigh seems lifeless. She's timid and tends to stay isolated from crowds. Approaching people is not her forte. In fact, when approached, Kayleigh says very few words and often tried to hurry up the conversation so the person who's talking to her will depart. The only way Kayleigh could possibly be classified as "social" is the fact that she enjoys helping those who are struggling in life, and are sufficiently kind to everyone. Kayleigh, while she may have no interests in school, is still a straight-A student. So, she feels like it's always up to her to tutor someone, or to give someone advice. On the advice part, Kayleigh has been through a lot. She feels that she can sympathize and empathize with others. Though, she's not one to literally go up to someone and ask them to rant to her. Kayleigh just lets a person tell her their problems. Like most demi-gods, Kayleigh is ADHD and dyslexic. She tries to use this to her advantage, mostly to keep her mind distracted from other things.
The girl, unlike what many others may believe, is very confident of herself. She is hopeful, yet lacks the energy to strive for something. After her mother and brothers were killed in the car accident, Kayleigh's depression has taken and is drowning her. Lifeless eyes and an always-tired girl does not equal much excitement. When the image of her family's limp bodies appear in her head, or when she replays the scene in her mind, Kayleigh has trouble getting through the day. Sure, it happened a few years back, but the girl believes that the cannot get over that. And as she believes such, it gives her less confidence on ever recovering from her state.
Most of the time, Kayleigh feels herself needing someone to lean on, and finds that she only has a few acquaintances. As they are acquaintances, Kayleigh feels she cannot trust them. She often finds herself slacking off and staying in bed all day. It may from her father being the God of sleep, as well. The only thing Kayleigh seems to have the time for is when she works in the infirmary. Kayleigh has a natural talent for healing and working with special herbs and such. It wasn't a surprise when she was asked to help out there. Being one of the older campers, Kayleigh sees herself as a possible mentor for younger helpers in the infirmary.
Lately, Kayleigh has been seeing herself as someone with little to no interest in the relationship business. It somewhat appalls her to think about it. And she's been having trouble making friends, for herself. What has been catching her attention are the hunters. Strong, fearless, and intelligent females. Surprisingly, Kayleigh can see herself fitting in with the hunters. With her knack for healing, Kayleigh sees her potential there, and may be trying to convince a certain Goddess of hunting to let her be a hunter.

fatal flaw -- Kayleigh has a huge fear of fire. She had had one before it was the cause of her family's death, which made it even worse for her when they did all die. This is also called arsonphobia, and she is definitely one to fear even the slightest sight of fire.

● Putting someone to sleep - She may come across as a boring loaf of bread at first, but Kayleigh can't put you to sleep that way. However, she can by mind. It's an overrated thing to think about, but Kayleigh is working on her power to mentally force someone to sleep. As of now, she's not very good at it, only making people a bit sleepy, and gets worn out very easily, but Kayleigh's working hard at it.
● Hallucinations - Kayleigh can, somewhat, make others hallucinate things, as if they were asleep and off in a dreamland. Kayleigh is actually very good at doing so, and can now do it to multiple people at once. Something she's having trouble working with, though, is the fact that she has no control over what the person/people hallucinate. Kayleigh rarely uses this power, or her other one, but never uses it more than three times a day, as it makes her get very sick very easily.
weapons -- Kayleigh prefers being a healing type of person, and refrains from using much of any weapon. Anyways, she owns a small sheath, but it's rarely ever taken from her under her pillow on her bed in her cabin.
pet -- She owns an orange kitten named Lyla. Often, Lyla roams around camp, but she stays with Kayleigh whenever Kayleigh is in her cabin.
