cal couldn't react fast enought to respond to Ray. She simply did whatshe wanted and took a blow from a wooden bat. A blow that Cal should have taken for her. The man, however, didn't seem to mind hitting Ray. Cal found a new anger and caught the bat on the man's nervous next blow. The mans imply let go of the bat and left through the window in which he came. Smart move on his part most definitely. Cal would have beaten him with the bat, maybe to death, for her hurting Ray. Cal qucikly dropped the bat and picked up Ray's limp form. He put her on the couch and inspected her body for the injuries that may be waiting upon her perfect figure. Cal couldnMt help but feel all the blame for this.

Ray groaned, feeling a huge headache coming on. "Gah," Ray muttered, holding her head. It was pounding so hard that Ray thought that it would explode. Ray groaned again, not bothering to open her eyes either. "Cal..." Ray moaned, only making the pain worse. Ray winced, the light in the room bothering her. "Well damn," Ray uttered, coughing a bit.

ray woke up and Cal instantly stood up. "Is there a bed in this place?" he asked, not thinking that the couch was appropriate for her in her condition at the moment. Without an answer, however, Cal picked Ray up carefully, making sure he didn't hurt her in anyway, and made his way down the hall, slowly pushing open the first door he saw open. It was the bathroom, of course. Eventually, Cal found a small beroom with a not so cluttered bed which he softly lay Ray on. Cal rubbed his neck feeling terrible. How could he let this happen to her? "Do you need anything?" he asked her.

Ray nodded her head, looking up at Cal. "Yeah I'm fine, just a headache," Ray told Cal, her eyes fluttering closed. Ray rubbed her eyes as the pounding continued in her head. Ray opened her green-blue eyes and sat up slowly, pulling on Cal's arms. "Lay next to me," Ray told Cal, pulling him onto the bed as well. Ray leaned up against Cal's warm chest and breathed deeply, falling alseep in his arms.

cal couldn't argue with Ray. Not only was he tired, he couldn't restrain against Ray without the possibility of hurting her. Cal softly let her pull him into bed next to her and carefully wrapped his arms around her, reminding himself to treat her wounds in the morning. Cal rested his head in Ray's hair thinking about tomorrow when they'd finish their date and how that might turn out.

A few hours later, or that's what it seemed to Ray, Ray woke up, her green-blue eyes fluttering open. Ray stretched and actually smacked some one in the face. Ray twisted her body to see Cal sleeping. Ray smiled lightly and rested her chin on Cal's chest. "Wake up Cally," Ray muttered to Cal, running a hand through his soft hair. Ray giggled lightly, leaning up and pressing her lips to Cal's.

cal groaned when he felt something hit him in the face. Not being er pleased about the sudden wake up call, he finally notices the form thatseemedto be laying on him. Cal was about to throw this form off of him, thinking it was his dog, despite its size, when said form leaned up and kissed him on the lips. A bit surprised, Cal sat up abruptly, finally realizing it was Ray. "Oh," he muttered and pressed his lips to Ray's again.

Ray laughed lightly, kissing Cal back on the lips. Ray pulled back and sat up onto of Cal, stretching. Ray winced lightly at the soreness but ignored it a bit. Ray still sat up on Cal, smiling down at him. "C'mon, let's go do something other than kiss all day," Ray told Cal, keeping a hand on his bare, muscled chest. Ray laughed lightly and smiled at Cal. "C'mon," Ray told Cal, getting off the bed and walking into the bathroom.

cal didn't want to but he did get up, but that didn't stop him from complaining. "What if I want to kiss all day," Cal said sleepily. He walked out of the room gumbling to himself about how little sleep he got and how he'd have to go try and see what he could do with his truck once this was all over. Cal, in the midst of all his grumbling and trying to wake up, found his shirt on the living room floor that Ray had taken off last night. "What do you want for breakfast?" Cal called through the apartment to Ray.

Ray tolled her eyes at Cal from the bathroom. "We can kiss all night if you want. I'm hungry now," Ray called to Cal as she washed up. Ray was still wearing the clothes from yesterday. Ray's shirt was dirty with dirt and blood. Ray groaned, walking out of the bathroom and into the bedroom. Ray searched through the drawers to find a light pink shirt that looked like Ray's shirt, just pink. Ray changed shirts and walked to where Cal was. "Pancakes," Ray told Cal plainly, leaning against the counter and smiling.

cal glance over his shoulder towards where Ray was. "Well I can't cook," he said flatly and with a small grin. "So let's find a place shall we?" Cal finally got another good look at her. She changed her shirt into a light pink one that hugged her body generally, showing off her curves. Cal felt his heart pick up a few beats as her watched he but planned on just ignoreing it, which was, very sad to say, extremely hard as a teenage boy.

Ray laughed lightly as Cal kind of just stared at her. Ray's eyes drifted over Cal, still seeing the outline of his chest muscles through his thin shirt. Ray winked at Cal and walked towards him, wrapping her arms around his neck. "Let's go find an Ihop or something," Ray said to Cal, looking up into his dark blue eyes. Ray just couldn't help herself anymore. Ray leaned up and gently kissed Cal on the lips before pulling away, smiling.

cal narrowed his eyes at Ray. She seemed to have been staring at his chest, but she'd only hold that to her later. "You're such a tease," he mumbled to himself before grabbing her hand and leading her out the front door and into the streets. Cal wrapped his arm around Ray's waist protectively. Who knew what kid of crazy goons were sitting in the streets of Manhattan? Cal knew, however. He grew up here.

Ray laughed lightly when she heard what Cal said. "Gee thanks," Ray mumbled to Cal, rolling her eyes as he put an arm around her waist protectively. Ray leaned on Cal's shoulder a bit, the wind keeping the hair out of her eyes. Ray only stood up straight when she saw a diner. "I see a diner," Ray told Cal, pulling him along the street. Ray couldn't help but laugh as they ran across the street, cars honking and people yelling. Ray laughed again, her blue-green eyes gleaming.

cal looked where ray had gestured just before she started pulling him along, across the street and right in front of cars. "Ray! For a girl who feel out of a car yesterday, you're prefty anxious to jump out in frot of them!" Cal looked at her oddly as they made it across te street and in front of the diner. He simply just rolled his eyes at her and proceeded inside where he led Ray to a table and sat down next to her.

Ray laughed but sat down next to Cal, leaning her head on his chest. Ray just couldn't help but smile. "You smell good," Ray muttered to Cal before laughing a bit. A waitress came over, finally noticing Ray and Cal. "What would you like to eat?" The young waitress asked them. Well, more like Cal. Ray raised an eyebrow at the young waitress, but placed her order. Nothing like good old pancakes.

cal didn't notice the waitress. He couldn't take his eyes off Ray the entire time he ordered, knowing what he wanted, knowing every diner in New York having almost rhe same exact breakfast menus. Once the wiatress left, Cal put his arm around Ray and buried his nose in her hair. "You're the one that snells good." He told her.

Ray laughed lightly, leaning her head against Cal's chest, feeling the rise and fall of it. "You know, that waitress seemed to like you very much," Ray mumbled tto Cal, playing with the ends of her hair. Ray sighed a bit and continued to lean against Cal's chest, hearing the sound of his heart beating. Ray couldn't help but smile lightly at Cal, twisting her body around and looked him in the eyes. "What do I smell like then?" Ray asked Cal, smiling lightly.

cal shook his head a smile plastered onto his face. He didn't believe her. The waitress was interested in him? It almost made him laugh. "Oh yeah? She didn't seem that way. I'm just looking at you." Cal smirked at Ray, but it soon faded as he couldn't really come up with a name for Ray's scent. "I don't know what you smell like. You have this distinct smell that only you have."

Ray laughed at Cal lightly. "Why thank you babe," Ray said to him, leaning forward and kissing him on the lips. The waitress came back, looking disgusted at Ray and Cal. Ray pulled away when the waitress cleared her throat. Ray glared at the waitress and stuck out her tounge out her. The waitress rolled her eyes and left the food on the able. "Bish," Ray muttered under her breath, taking a bit of her pancake. Ray looked at Cal and smiled. "Babe, your hot and she likes that," Ray teased Cal, though she did mean it.

cal shook his head again. He took a quick bite of his pancakes still not believeing a word she was saying. "Is there a little green monster poking out of Ray?" he asked. "Is she a little jealous?" Cal laughed at his own wittiness. Ray probably was not jealous, paranoid maybe, but not jealous. Cal knew Ray enough to know that that wasn't her.

Ray rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I'm jealous. Jealous that you got more bacon than me," Ray told Cal, taking a piece of bacon. Ray put it into her mouth before Cal could take it back. Ray laughed and took a sip of her orange juice. Ray finished off her pancakes an leaned in Cal smiling. "Those pancakes are good," Ray told Cal, looking up at him with her blue-green eyes.

cal glared at ray playfully. He finished his pancakes after Ray finished hers. He gaurded his food after she took his bacon. "Wow, hungry much, Ray?" he asked with a playful smile. He took a long swag of his chocolate milk to wash down his food. "I would have thought I would've beat you out on that one, but guess I was wrong." Cal poked her in the ribs and raised his eyebrows showing a smile.

Ray laughed at Cal. "Well, a girl can ge hungry at times Cally," Ray teased Cal, smirking lightly. Ray knew he hated that that name. Ray slid out of her seat and stood up. Ray dropped a twenty dollar bill on the table. [!b]"Niw what?"[/b] Ray asked Cal, stretching a bit.

cal looked at ray with the same curious eyes he always had. WHy was she so much different? Cal stared at her for a second still sitting in the booth, looking up at her before answernig. "Anywhere you want to go," he told her. Cal was terrible at planning. This was basically his first date. Although he wasn't basically being the gentleman by making Ray choose. Oh well.
