cal softly picked ray up in his arms as he felt her go limp against his chest. He walked over to the couch and lay her down there. The thoughts still swarmed through Cal's mind, not daring to leave to give Cal some peace. What was he going to do? He knew he was going to have to stay with Ray, and he wanted to. Cal wasn't going to let anyone hurt her, touch her, talk to her in anyway that seemed threatening. If anyone did, they would have to put up with him, Cal didn't care who they were.

~I'm so sorry I haven't been very active :/ I kind of needed a tiny break, you know? I heard a lot of things have happened while I was gone.

Ray didnt know how long she had slept, but it seemed like forever for her. Ray's eyes fluttered open, her blond bangs in her eyes. Ray fixed her hair a bit, sitting up slowly, streching and yawning. Ray blinked, not seeing Cal around. Ray swung her legs to the side of the couch, blinking a bit.

"Cal?" Ray called out, rubbing her eyes.

cal had been leaning over the sink in the bathroom feeling as sick to his stomach as Ray had been, but he hadn't vomited. He gripped both sides of the sink fiercly, glaring at himself in the mirror. He could barely stand to look at himself. What had he done? Something terrible, to the gurl he loved. It hadn't even been intentional. What they went through, it was a drunken mistake. Cal looked away from the mirror only when he heard Ray calling from the other room. "Ray?" he said back softly after a moment of gathering hinself up. "I'm here." He assured her and went to the couch where she was. "What's up?" He didn't believe himself that that was an appropriate question to state, but he had nothing else.

Ray didn't say anything, but curled up against Cal, always feeling safe and warm in his arms. Ray sighed lightly and played with Cal's fingers, thinking of the future. She really didn't know what to expect. Ray just couldn't help but think about the baby. Boy or girl? And, oh gods, names.

Ray's blond hair was a little frizzy now and was all over Cal's chest because she was laying on top of him. Ray looked up at him with her blue-green eyes.

"Just wondering where you were," Ray said softly, running a hand through his brown hair lightly.

cal nodded and played with a free strand of Ray's hair. She looked distressed, even more than she had been. He was surprised how well she was holding up, especially at this point. It didn't make much sense to him anymore. He was passed feeling stupid for his actions, now he was just angey, furious even. But not at Ray, she was the victim, not him. He's the one who should be punished with consequences. But it never works that way does it? "It's okay. I'm here now," he assured her and held her tighter and closer to his body.

Ray nodded, leaning her head on Cal's chest. Ray could tell he seemed tensed, maybe even angry. She looked up at him, her blue-green eyes sparkling.

"What's wrong? You seem tense," Ray told Cal softly as she played with his hand. Ray was starting to get nervous about the future. It made her suck to think about it. A baby? Ray wished she had dine some things differently.

cal shrugged, not knowing what an appropriate response to that would have been. Cal wasn't ever a good talker, Ray had somewhat changed that but she hadn't changed who he was. What was he suppossed to say anyway? Did she expect him to confess everything freely? As if he would come out and say, 'Yeah I'm utterly terrifiedfor you. I can't stand seeing you like this.' it was the truth and he was sure Ray already knew this, he just didn't say it. It wasn't very necessary in his own mind when looking at the matter. What more was there to say anyway?

Ray sat up, looking Cal in the eyes.

"Cal, really, what's wrong?" Ray asked him, biting her lip. Ray wanted to know what was wrong. She wanted to fix Cal. Well, Ray thought she could do anything. Ray looked away, her blond bangs falling in her face.

cal looked down at Ray, moving bits of her blonde hair out of her face, tracing a hand down her cheeck. He had no emotion in his features. Cal was thinking hard, trying to figure this all out, wodering how they would end up continueing with this kind of problem. "I'm just thinking." he told her 100% truthfully. He was worrying too much for her, but he cared so much he couldn't help but be scared for her. Cal wouldn't admit to that, however.

Ray nodded and laid her head back on Cal's chest. She wasn't going to ask him anymore questions at all. She would talk to him later. Ry sighed and closed her eyes before her stomach rumbled.

"I'm hungry," Ray said plainly before laughing lightly. Cal probably thought she was out of her mind.

cal shook his head smiling, supressing a laugh at Ray's comment. All his worries vanished just as she said that simple phrase. His own stomach rumbled and he laughed with Ray again. They had come into the city to have fun, why don't they just continue doing just that and worry about everything else later? It sounded like a perfect plan to Cal.
"Maybe we should go and get something to eat then?" he suggested sitting up a bit so he was facing Ray on the couch. She still looked so vulnerable even after a couple hours of sleep. But she looked so much better. She had that quirky smile back again. Cal couldn't help but smile at her beauty.
